Great views but lackluster service. We made reservations for Sunday night dinner at the Rusty Pelican and valet the car out front which is the only option for parking (6 dollars). We were seated outside with a gorgeous city view of downtown Miami. 20 minutes pass at this point and the server is no where to be found. Finally they stop over and take our drink and food order. I ordered the house wine (17 dollars per glass!) while the other guest ordered a diet Coke. In order to get a refill we had to initiate the request by asking if we could get a refill. The server was never attentive by anticipating our needs but rather went with our direction. The food was what made up for the lackluster service. I wouldn't go back as I feel like for the cost of the meal service should be a lot better.

43 year old Miami life native. Going to visit first time this Sunday 2/21/21. Always heard good things. I m not very picky so pleasing me should be easy. I decided to check google reviews and have been horrified by all the negative reviews. This is a pricy place and I don t mind spending but from valet, to hostess, bar staff, waiter, busers, and managers everything appears to be a nightmare. Go to google reviews and place the settings on bad reviews and judge for yourself. While percentage wise there are far more pleasant reviews, the bad ones overwhelmingly scare me. Scare me so much that I m reviewing before going to advise people to do their due diligence. I expect an amazing experience. I will repost with my experience. Fingers crossed. Hope the management is ready as I m going prepared for the worst.

We had brunch at the Rusty Pelican yesterday and had treated some friends as a Christmas Gift. The dinners have always been wonderful. It had been awhile since we had brunch there but remember the buffet as being very good. We were very disappointed yesterday. The service was excellent. However, we were disappointed the the variety of food. Not a lot. There was no green salad to make, no cheeses. We went thru the line for potatoes, grits, bacon, etc, expecting to see some kind of prepared eggs. Found out we had to wait in a loooong line for omelets to be made. My husband and I got ours but we were finished with our breakfast by the time our friends made it back to their seats. The bacon, grits and potatoes were cold since we waiting in line for the omelets. I do not think we will be returning. There are other excellent buffets in the area.

I can definitely said that Rusty Pelican used to be a prime restaurant in Miami. It has the best view of the city, amazing atmosphere, great service and excellent brunch. Last two times we where there the service wasn t that good, we had to practically beg to sit outside since we where past dinner time and wanted us to sit at the bar for a couple of drinks and appetizers. How you fit a party of 6 at a bar? And food took longer than expected with a good presentation but absent quality. We let it slide and didn t mentioned mayor thing to the waiter. Still I can say if you are visiting Miami go to Rusty pelican for a nice and relaxing view, it s been a while for me but things might have changed.

The location of this restaurant is pretty spectacular. Of course it is reflected somewhat in the price of the food, but well worth trying at least once for the views. The decor is a little dated and the menu is a little light on variety, but all in all it was a decent experience.

The view is incredible. A beautiful view of the Miami skyline! We ate inside with a large group. The grilled octopus was one of the best I ve had. Not tough, a perfect tenderness. I had a steak and tasted some of the sushi and fish dishes of others. We had slow and inattentive service which is why this is four, not five.

Today was my first visit to Moonshadows and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly. Our waitress Amanda was a so accommodating and recommended some very tasty items. The Manager Chris was so polite and friendly. He made sure to stop by our table and check how our visit was going. The view was awesome. I can't say enough about this place. Definitely coming back.

Missing some good filet of fish like yellowtail. The snapper is fried and whole and hard to eat. Sushi is fresh and great. Good cheeseburger. Ceviche great. Steaks great. Staff very helpful

The views here are gorgeous, and this place has been around for as long as I can remember, but the pricing and service need improvements. I don't mind paying for a quality cocktail, but when it takes ages for drinks and food to be made, you're better off going somewhere else. The cocktails and food were still great, along with the view but not worth it if it comes with a huge delay in service.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon on the day at Rusty pelican on the bay with incredible views of Miami. We had chicken and waffles and they were amazing. From the post I've read and my experience I think the management/owners need to give their new hires customer service training. I booked an event for 100 people. The catering managers treated me horrible - and I booked the event! Do they not want repeat customers? First, they did not follow through on the parking I was promised for my guests. My 100 guests were treated horrible again in trying to figure out where to park.
Then an item on the menu we agreed upon was missing and the catering manager argued with me and refused to change it or give me something that my guests would eat. The dish they forced upon us was left un-eaten, even though we paid for it.
Then when time to pay the full bill, the catering manager for my group refused to discuss the bill with me (although I booked and managed the event), and insisted that he speak only with one of the officers of the organization - which ended in complete chaos. Bad, bad experience. I have not booked there again.

Amazing food. Amazing service. And I love supporting an enterprise that is so committed to its community. Enjoy the salad with Tino's dressing and the warm bread with olive oil dipping sauce.

Great Views of Brickell. Service techniques need to improve for the money customers are being asked to pay. Food was good, well prepared and presented. But more attention to proper service decorum is needed to make it a five * experience.

Food was good, view even better but as locals the food was overpriced and the view although nice is nothing weve never seen before. Our waitress overall was fast and attentive but really dropped the ball when she asked us "where are you guys from, ..... you guys sound white".. As if white was an ethnicity, or all black people were supposed to sound the same ( mind you we are two afro-latin ,black women)...We just looked at her and kept it pushing. We were there to honor our grandmothers death anniversary and really just wanted to stay cool calm and collected... Her comment whether ill-inteneded or not was real ignorant and offensive., and i recommend the managers teach their servers some social ettiquette and read up on racial diversity and the issues that are going on today.
