Just love this hotel! we stay here every year. We are treated like family and we keep coming back.

Good service. Bed side lamp does not work as intended

We stayed there for 8 days. Though the property appeared dated, it was very well kept. The staff were excellent and the food was great. They are close to the piers and have a shuttle on the river. Their restaurant Thara Thong is very good and make sure to book a table. They do get over subscribed.

Were totally satisfied. Could not report anything negative. Breakfast very good and good choice.

We ve been coming to the Royal Orchid for 18 years and it still never disappoints. From the friendly staff from check-in, to The Sheraton Club, from the pool attendants to the ladies of the Lobby Lounge the employees are always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and clean without the cold modernism that has creeped into so many new hotels. Being on the river helps you relax from the bustle of Bangkok which is only moments from the door step. Be sure to take shuttle boat to the newly opened IconSiam and down to the sky train station. Have been there sometimes, it is almost always customary that we have to go down and have dinner buffet there. You can get EVERYTHING there. according to Danish conditions, it is cheap, but under Thai conditions, it is expensive if you go to a Thai bar in Bangkok, but the price is. And then you have tried to eat a nice place, with one servant on each hand. Try it!

Love this hotel. The service is excellent!Staff very polite and helpful when I asked for direction to the boat station. Location very strategic. Definitely will come back with my family again!!!

Le Meridian by the airport had much better service and cleanliness. Our honeymoon suite got downgraded and there were all sorts of flubs with our room. By the time we got one, it had such a bad smell in it of urine that we had to call for air-freshner as there were no more suites available, despite our reservation. Underwhelming treatment of honeymoon experience also, in contrast with how amazing customer service is all over Thailand. We thought bc it was a Sheraton it would be more reliable for great service than it was, especially as premium SPG members. This place has not much right nearby, in terms of restaurants or walking fun, and the concierge was relatively unhelpful in assisting us in finding something fun to do. Except there were lots of tuktuks and taxis right outside waiting to get a big fare. We decided to hail one instead of getting the one that was called for us bc something felt really off about the whole transaction. Best asset to us was the meal in the restaurant with the thai performance and the nearby access to the boat ramp to get on the Chao phaya. We were here for 2 days and I'd be unlikely to return, was a sad end to a honeymoon abroad for so many reasons.

Good hotel, nice rooms and what you might expect from a hotel. Enough to do, great pools, massage and good riverside bar and terrace. If i may point out a small downside I would state that even though you are high up and the windows are thick you do hear enough from the river. Starting early morning when the Longtails start running their rides. Other than that, visit it.

Near MRT Xinyi Elementary School Station. A quiet place. We had a 2F buffet lunch. The number and taste were normal. Not enough to eat again.

There are 2 pools and a fitness center is available 24 hours a day. Eat, exercise, swim, take a nap by the pool, and enjoy a healthy vacation.

Our favourite hotel in Bangkok! We come here since several years and are always absolutely satisfied.
In principle, you could spend the whole day in the hotel.
In the morning you can take your breakfast sitting directly at the Chaopraya river. During the day, you can spend time at the Garden Pool, in the gym or in the spa. For dinner, some great restaurants are in the house, too.

The best. If I ever come back to Bangkok with a healthy budget, I would check in here again. The staff is so friendly. Very helpful. You feel safe and secure. The rooms are so elegant, majestic, spacious and clean. You really get what you are paying for! That is for sure. It was worth every cent.

They gave us a room with a riverside view and the view, despite the under construction buildings, is stunning. I just love it. It is close to ferry boat stations which is a plus for me. In my opinion, the ferry boat is the most efficient mode of transportation in Thailand. Sheraton offers a free ferry ride from the hotel to a ferry station nearest to an MRT station. In case you don't catch it, right beside the hotel is a regular ferry station. Simple but really efficient.

Just right across it is street packed with other modes of transportation. Motorcycles, tuk-tuk and taxis. Make sure to haggle. Best take the taxis from the hotel lobby.

Right on the same street are massage parlors, street food and even laundry services.

I'm an American on a business trip only to Bangkok and as a Marriott Bonvoy Elite Platinum Member and not interested in doing the outside tourist sight seeing things like tourist people do.

This hotel club lounge doesn't even recognize or give attention to Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members, only to tourists people from China who pay for rooms to stay on the club lounge floors and to have access to the club lounge. It's not supposed to be loud speaking that disturb business people in the club lounge.

Many foreign Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members tell me in the club lounge stay at this hotel for their business trips and want to still do business emails and work inside the club lounge. It's difficult to do when their are allot of tourist in the club lounge.

This is where the hotel people who work inside the club lounge really don't service or recognize the Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members who always stay at Marriott Hotels or Marriott Bonvoy group hotels throughout the year. I think this is just a Sheraton Hotel SPG training style instead of an actual Marriott Hotel training.

I will never stay at this Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel location again for my business trips to Bangkok. I will go back to staying at an actual Marriott Hotel location again (JW Marriott or Marriott Marquee) in Bangkok.

I'm very disappointed at this Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel in Bangkok. I'll definitely need to do my Marriott Bonvoy survey after I check out about my bad experience here.

Been to this excellent hotel many times. Got an upgrade to the upper floors this time, but the room here was disappointing. Small, shower in the bathtub and with a curtain - not exactly in the style of a 5-star hotel. Access to the club on the 27th floor was also denied, which I found petty.
Even worse was the same, minimalist and far too loud music in the bar and restaurant. You could "play" the bar in the evening. Until that changes, I'm looking for a new hotel for my business trips to Bangkok.

There're many hotels near Chaopraya River. If you are high tier in Marriott or SPG rewards, super recommend to stay in here. Whenever visiting here, they give an executive suite room. Even if you don't have a chance to stay in Suite room, you can enjoy gorgeous night scenery. And the guest can use free ferry between Sapan Taksin bts station and hotel.

Exactly what you cone to expect from a Sheraton, but it's the people here that really set this one apart. All the staff members are truly there to help you with anything you need help with. Everything seems so genuine from room enhancements as an elite to chocolate in our room when we arrived (recently engaged) to special drinks in the lounge. It was a fantastic hotel and the location was excellent. The shuttle boat took us to public docks where we could catch other boats to go to Wat Pho and Asiatique. They also had a tailor in the hotel where I was able to get some custom shirts for $35/shirt. Overall great hotel with easy access to Bangkok.

This hotel was an amazing place to stay in Bangkok. If you're looking for a full service nice resort, this is the spot. I was sick and didn't see much other than our room and the pools but the views are fantastic of the river and city. Would definitely stay here again.

My mother and my 5 year old daughter and I went there yesterday! It was also good to take a boat trip to the tourist destination because it is located along the Chao Phraya river. The view is right across from Icon Siam, so the view is... Thumbs up! I saw it in the Icon Siam fountain show room hahaha It was amazing because it was a river view in all rooms! I think I did well with the Hilton on the other side and decided to go to Sheraton!! It seems that accessibility was better because it was close by grab or taxi from anywhere in the city, and you can cross the river. There is a shuttle boat to Icon Siam or Sapan Taksin every 30 minutes, so it was easy to use. Even if you miss it, there are two blooms right on each side, so you can get a stomachache at least once every 10 minutes~~^^ I didn't apply for breakfast because I wanted to eat a lot of Thai food. The kind is okay, and breakfast is better to take the kids... There is a limit to finding restaurants. The hotel itself is very old, but it was kept clean, so there was no need to change it. The facilities are luxurious and not so, but the use of the swimming pool and...

Bottled water is also provided separately, and the bedding is also Sheraton, so I slept with it.

Went there for the Sunday brunch. We got two free seats but bought one more. Some of the food was nice. Seafood was semi-fresh especially considering this hotel isn't near any seafront. My favs were oyster and lobster. The mussels were so so. The steak and sushi/sashimi were quite subpar. Steak wasn't soft and despite requesting medium, the meat was quite well done or rather overcooked even. Sashimi isn't fresh and not very juicy. It's quite overpriced as well. 2000 baht for one seat.

This is a great hotel. Some friends stayed here while visiting Bangkok and had nothing but great things to say about it. The rooms are very nice, clean and in good condition. The breakfast buffet was fantastic too. Great location for exploring Bangkok and around the river.

After much deliberation, we decied to stay here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary, and what an amazing decision that was. We stayed in the Presidential or 'Royal Orchid' suite and it was immense. 263sq metres of awesome, and the team i.e Mathieu, Natthaya (on our private cruise) were fantastic in organising complimentary meals upon meals, a private cruise and the service from ALL staff was immense. Everyone knew our names, everyone was courteous, everyone went above and beyond and Orhun (the Manager) made an effort to greet us on arrival. The meals were incredible, filet steak was unreal, lobster was best I've ever eaten (and 13 years in Thailand I've eaten my fair share of lobster) and their boat was 'out of service' due to the plandemic, but they took us out on the boat for a private sunset cruise with Champagne and Canopes.

Would highly recommend a stay here. I usually stay at the Intercontinental when I'm in Bangkom, and I am a stickler for changing venue after having great service, but these guys were just impeccable. Can't knock it, will be back and thanks again.
