Very nice and filled with old sch charm. The old rich.
Great atmosphere, great taste, great jazz club and cigar bar
We juat has 2 drinks in an extremely welcoming atmosphere with a great and gentle service.
Wonderful place.
Superb hotel. The service and the breakfast are outstanding and make the difference between this hotel and other 5-star hotels.
The only negative thing I can say about them is the 15-year old WiFi policy: not only not free, but absurdly priced. Given the 600$+/day room prices, it's unnecessary.
The Grande Dame in Bangkok
Nice view right on the river ..
Service attentive, perfect and unobtrusive!
Food very good and well presented!
Probrably the best hotel in the whole of thailand, Its almost like staying in a palace
Beautiful hotel. Super friendly staff. Food in all restaurants from the best !!
The service and atmosphere are excellent along the Chao Phraya River. However, I can not enjoy it if I can not speak English.
The accommodation cost has been rising year by year, but it seems that it seems to go up more than this in a balanced way.
Buffet breakfast is the best. Conversely, the night buffet is not cost effective.
The entrance is an open, general luxury hotel with live music. The room is the same. I have no complaints. There are also many Western hotels around, and the atmosphere of the people walking and the shops around them are completely there. Everyone is good at English.
Beware that there is a traffic jam in the morning and evening as it is close to Sukhumvit.
This hotel was right on river and the best thing is to sit outside and eat. Sometimes you can smell a bit too much oil as the river is extremely busy. Hotel very good and food good
Classic English afternoon tea, ambient atmosphere. Must say it was a bit too much to eat at a very good price.
The Bangkok Biennalee introduced me to this stunning hotel. Of course, I had read about its magnificence in literature and history books but finding oneself right in the middle of Bangkok colonial legacy is a whole other story. One must highlight how pieces of art are amazingly incorporated into the core of the building and how that makes the scenario enjoyable for the most exquisite and demanding eyes. As for the hotel atmosphere itself, it s hard to imagine something quite unique. Since it a side of the Chao Praya river thatwhich has a decadent tough original charm, it offers a real experience of what the old town used to be. Guest Services are impeccable, including the cleaning and staff skills ; highly above average considering a Thai standard in similar category mansions. If you are curious to wander beyond the Michelin starred restaurant La Normandie , my personal recommendation is Kinu and its Japanese Thai fusion style, a non-conventional yet delicious alternative.
Great hotel. LOVE LOVE the Bamboo Bar. Best bar in BKK. I would rather stay at the Shangrila. I think the Mandrin is great but its too "royal" for my comfort
The most typical Asian hotel in Bangkok, a lot of history...
Staff are biased in favor of Asian clientele. If you're not Asian they will be polite and do their job but will prioritize Asians first. I stayed here long enough to see a consistent trend. My Asian were always served first and treated with extreme care and reverence, especially my Chinese friends. Very disheartening experience To experience this at such a fine hotel but it does happen more frequently in Bangkok these days...
Is a hotel that has long been The place is not very large. There is an addition to the hotel building, so that there is not enough parking space to park at Assumption School near the hotel. There will be a shuttle bus to the hotel again.
The restaurant at Riverside has the best service, food and atmosphere! When I go to Bangkok, I always want to go to a hotel.
Top service hotel. One of the best hotel restaurants. Riverfront with nice views
Oh the hotel has a glorious British history from the hotels of the earth.
The rare service in Earth Hotels.
The service is simply perfect, "a private servant for every room and every floor," even taking care of our children for DVD movies, small luxuries and all that is required 24 hours a day at the touch of a button.
The delight of a place, 6-star food and this 7-star hotel, the best in my life, I was privileged to stay and enjoy 4 nights as the king's indulgence.
Luxurious design and everything is adjacent to the famous river in Bangkok.
The lobby is polished and decorated with spectacular flower arrangements.
Romantic and frenzied in the universe.
Recommended for every couple and family once in a lifetime ...
We went for Dinner at the Verandah, sat by the river. Really impeccable service, great tasty food. I had the foie gras burger and my wife has seafood pasta. Very reasonable price for where it is. Would 100% go back. Also had a more than a few cocktails at the Bamboo bar. Great ambiance and super nice cocktails. Also the Jazz band came on. The saxophonist was a complement to the band. Absolute brilliant evening.
Away from the downtown area, the tranquility of the morning, getting up and feeling comfortable
On the riverside, the scenery is great and the price is expensive, suitable for enjoying the hotel.
In the river, was wonderful, the price is expensive, suitable for hotel
Have lunch while watching river traffic. Great burger and service.
The chef is simple imble is perfect
This is the best in thailand
Emotions are chills guatantie
The dream of global romanticism
To be continued 10/5
Relax and relax. Sathorn Pier near BTS Sapan Takshin Now iconic Siam You can come to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and a free ferry.
Couldn't ask for more. Service standard at its best. Breakfast overlooking Chao Phraya river with the most wonderful buffet spread
Under renovation. Water front and water restaurant was closed
The Hotel is awesome. The service is great. I like the in room dining and the different restaurants.
They own the name "best world hotel 2017" for a reason! Words can't describe how beautiful this hotel is! Loved it!
The hotel keeps its legendary for the past century. Service has always been beyond expectation.
Great place with great service. Expensive but worth it.
Great Historical land mark on the banks of the Choa Prya river, excellent service next to non, pricey but the environment and service is excellent, food of good standatd, love the view and atmosphere there, very romantic at night and you can also get a dinner cruise too if you wise.
the most luxurious hotel, noble, decent, flawless. only one disadvantage is its location.
Excellent hotel, and fantastic buffet. pricey but worth it. Preservation needed
The service here ... Amazing ... They just are so friendly, always nearby paying attention, but unobtrusive. The room ... gorgeous .. staying in a garden wing room .. recently renovated. Its reputation is well deserved .. if you're thinking of staying, stop dithering and just book it
It is a hotel you should definitely go to when you visit Bangkok. It is an old-fashioned tasteful luxury hotel. The staff is also first class. It is also good to have tea at the terrace seating along the river. Wat Arun looks good.
However, it is not easy to catch a taxi from the nearest station, so it is better to go on a boat or take a taxi from the center.
The buffets are excellent and overflowing with choice. The pool does not impede the chlorine and is of a more than pleasant temperature . The staff is nice and very helpful. You can have good quality room service! The beds are comfortable and the TVs are quite large. The bathrooms are spacious and the rooms are well lit. and offer a good view of the river. I highly recommend this hotel if you can afford it!
Great place, great ambiance, bamboo bar is.my fav hangout here.
Excellent service. We feel very much at home in the Oriental. Staff members are like family, they take pride in what they do and are very passionate. Yes, I do agree the rooms are a little dated but the service are impeccable. There are no other hotels that has surpass them in this area.
More than a century of history, the Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok, her style is fascinating. It is the top three of my favorite hotels so far. Every scene of the hotel is fascinating. The breakfast on the Chao Phraya River is rich and varied. Sitting on the outdoor and enjoying the day begins, the hotel needs to take the hotel's exclusive ship to the other side. There is a Thai restaurant where we enjoyed exquisite Thai food, accompanied by a show of good nights, and went to the spa. The very delicate and caring service made us feel good and comfortable.
Although the room has a history but it is very good, it is my favorite look. The balcony has a river view and a large floor-to-ceiling window at the desk. The bathroom space is provided with Thai silk bathrobes, which can meet the needs of the room every day. Wenhua's service is not only professional, delicate and intimate, but also my favorite hotel. And Bangkok Mandarin is my favorite M.O.
Staying for three nights in this trip, the hotel will make a deep impression on the hotel, whether it is the front desk service, the travel itinerary to help arrange the planning, the restaurant staff, etc., I will choose Bangkok Mandarin again in Bangkok. thank you all.
The perfect place for the afternoon coffee
overviewing the Chao Phraya River
The oldest and most stylish hotel located at the river bank.
Beautiful hotel on Riverside with top class service. Very good restaurants with majestic river view. A bit on pricy side.
First enter the room with a welcome drink,
What is good? Asked me,
I requested fresh orange juice. While worshiping in Thai style in a few minutes,
I was happy to bring it.
A true delight. Welcoming and attentive staff. Wonderful pool area. Fantastic service. Clean comfortable rooms & impeccable attention to detail. Everyone should treat themselves to this at least once
Just a stunning place! Was surprised though that the still water they served in the restaurant was imported from Italy. How does their substainibility strategy looks like? Thought and hoped it would be more developed, supporting local products.
The original oriental hotel is well renovated and nice atmosphere
From staff to food via design and ambiance all is great there
