Did another vist to one of my favourites lunch spots. It was as good as ever. A little busy.but still 5 stars

This is the perfect place to start the day.

Gorgeous food. The menu has such a variety of beautiful options for each course that it's almost overwhelming. The staff are extremely attentive and welcoming, and the lunch menu prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and portions that are served up.

Coffee shop, cafe and upscale restaurant all in one location. An firm favourite for many years, just around the corner from Herbert Park

There's a vintage quality to the restaurant that is sorely lacking in most Dublin establishments, namely, quality of food, setting and service. Roly's is a nice dining experience, strong menu catering for meat eaters and vegetarians. Size of dishes was good, service was great and ambiance was nice.

Very good place for a breakfast.
Affordable prices in relation to those charged in hotels. Good variety of coffees, breads and others.

Slow service. My seafood pie didn't have all that was promised in the menu such as mussels

A lovely place in an excellent location.
The food was wonderful and the staff delightful. The service was efficient and friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and enjoyed the occasion to its limits.

I have been going to Rolys for over 25 years and I have NEVER had a bad meal. Just a wonderful restaurant that serves excellent food at very affordable prices by wonderful staff.

Service was very slow. They forgot about us multiple times. Food was ok but expensive for what we got.

Been going to this place nearly since it opened. Although the food is generally quite good most of the time, the service ranges from indifferent and neglectful to downright rude and offensive. If you want a place to order high-quality food for take-out, by all means enjoy but be careful if you ever show up there unannounced and in search of a quick coffee-and-cake among friends and loved ones: you may as well ask for the moon. The manager was rude and unhelpful and staff completely unprepared for even the simplest of requests from paying customers.
TL:DR: Avoid. Go elsewhere. Preferably somewhere with trained staff.

We were here for a group lunch on a week day. Service was great as always with all dishes delivering on the usual high standard. Staff were slightly slower coming out with the desserts and coffees which put us under a bit of time pressure. Other than that everything was fabulous.

Came here for late breakfast before Leinster match at RDS, the place was fairly packed and we were lucky to get a seat. Both of us ordered the full Irish, delicious (especially the Clonakilty BP) and kept us going until evening dinner!! Service was very friendly and efficient, we'll be back!

An old style Dublin favourite.. excellent food and service always

My first experience in your restaurant was for my 40th birthday 6 years ago it was fantastic the staff were professional yet so friendly the food was exquisite yet not fussy . I even told my sister and her husband about it so they went and were delighted too .. we'll be back again and again

Went for a birthday lunch in late December 2019 with a large enough group of us. The staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. The menu had lots of choice for all food types and intolerances. The food itself came in big portions and the standard was very high. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back in the near future again.

The beef is the thing. Although the prawns (Dublin Bay) were pretty good too.

A place I had forgot about as more trendy restaurants arrived in Dublin BUT the food is excellent ! best filet steak I ve had in a long time cooked perfectly, staff friendly and attentive, wine list covers everything.. well worth rediscovering

Roly's is my favourite Bistro in Dublin. Guaranteed first class food ,wide selection of dishes, attentive and friendly staff. A lovely venue for a relaxing meal. Seamus Doran ,Derry.

The best Caesar salad and rib of beef steak with brandy and peppercorn sauce in Dublin! Thoroughly enjoyed it and really can't wait to go back again. The baked lemon cheesecake was delicious and refreshing. The coffee was a perfect finish to a truly enjoyable meal.

Roly's is an institution of Ballsbridge. Professionals, well to-do senior citizens, rugby players and many from the nearby embassies come here for the food and atmosphere.

They also have a second walk in side restaurant that does a limited menu for collection. They recently joined Deliveroo for food deliveries to the Ballsbridge area too.

My birthday.Asked for voycher printout.Partner spent 15 mins trying to retrieve it even after he had received a confirmation. It ruined the evening more or less. Apoligies were no good or offers of wine or cake. Really poor show Rolys.

Very good breakfast/ brunch. Had eggs benedict with bacon on brioche toast - very tasty. Coffee strong too!

Have been to Root's a few times. It is always ok. Many others rave about it but that has never been my experience. The food is ok to good. The service leaves a lot to be desired and is mostly slow and dismissive.

Food and service is good. My only issue with the place is that they add automatically a 10% service charge to the bill, which is fine normally, but the waiter told our table (surprised that we asked) that the restaurant keep that for themselves and don't pass it on to the wait staff, so we felt we had to add another 10% on top... This was on a bill of over 400 EUR (it's not a cheap restaurant) so it's a decent chunk of money and I felt the restaurant was ripping me off and ripping their own staff off.

Excellent well presented and very well served food and beverages.
