Absolutely amazing, wonderful food and service and Kahn and all the staff made us feel like we were the only people there on what was a very busy night, would highly recommend
Great venue before or after a match or any event . Great cuisine from the buzy atmosphere of the bistro to the fine dining of the restaurant with menus to suit all palates
Hi my whole family went there on Sunday 12th February for a celebration at 7 pm. We were looked after very well until about 9 pm service became very poor. We had to ask numerous times for our order for deserts and also teas/coffees. We were being served by various waters which did not help. Also they appeared to be more interested in clearing the tables rather than dealing with us. I also had to go up to pay at the desk rather than someone coming to give us the bill. I have to say this left a very sour note with us when leaving and we were very disappointed. There were 5 of us in total there and it did annoy us considering we were out for our duel celebration. The food was excellent but that has been our experience. I hope you will take this on board as I would not be inclined to recommend you to our friends. The feeling was that the staff just wanted to go home on the Sunday evening. Regards. Marian O'Rorke
Sunday lunch fixed menu. Nice home style cooking. Everything was good except the carrot puree which was a bit like baby food. Good service, comfortable relaxed environment, and leaving aside the wine, quite good value. Overall a good traditional restaurant with a touch of nostalgia for those over 50.
Love Roleys, great food and great service, lovely experience every visit.
Everything was excellent.
It was a birthday bash 5 members and we all really enjoyed it.
Tks very much
Nice food tonight but the service was really, really slow in Roly's Cafe. Overpriced too for the small portions we got. Great location.
Really good food but I feel that the menu is a little tired and needs a bit of new energy.
My all time favorite, the food is always to the highest standard ,service is always good .
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended. Will be back again next week :)
If you are in Ballsbridge you have to try Roly's. Beautiful food and the best takeaway coffee in Town.
Fantastic sit in Bistro with 5 star food at affordable prices.
Try the cakes and leave your diet at home!
We had great food and good service during our lunch at Roly's Bistro. The restaurant is very stylish and comfortable. We were left waiting for our table water and the time between finishing our main course and being asked about desert & coffee was longer than we would be used to. However it did not take away from an enjoyable visit!
Good food. Professional service. Lots of room for spacing.
The food there is excellent, but to be honest they should lose a table or two as it is far too cramped. It would not bother me if they increased the prices to make up for the losses, but you can't have a conversation when the restaurant is so busy.
Liked it much. Good table, soup, angus meat and sauce. Kind and pleasant personel. Good wines. Lots of birthdays around us. So we sang our song for them. And they came to thank us. Funny evening.
Would have been a better experience if not squashed into what seemed an after thought table location in the aisle.
Excellent place. Very elegant and the food was excellent.
Absolutely delightful food for lunch, the started itself was enough for a light lunch...yum
food was excellent staff friendly service excellent would recommend it to everyone
Very good food and even better staff, reasonably priced...
First visit: Great food, nice interior, lovely staff, although some of them were a bit inexperienced. All round very nice, but pretty pricey. Second visit: involved poor beer, but replaced, very average Kerry pie, unpleasant and bland vegetables.
My first experience in your restaurant was for my 40th birthday 6 years ago it was fantastic the staff were professional yet so friendly the food was exquisite yet not fussy . I even told my sister and her husband about it so they went and were delighted too .. we'll be back again and again
Fabulous food and excellent service can't wait to go back great value for money
Great place to eat food is top class staff are courteous and friendly great atmosphere in the restaurant is love eating at rolys
Very dated restaurant. Food is like it's from the 80's, mashed carrots? The courses arrived too quickly one after the other. The Manager on the night must of asked us 6 times how our meal (4 too many). They also over poured the wine which is an obvious ploy to make us by more. Too many better, more modern restaurants around to go back ther. Being generous with my score of 2
Great food, great serve and great menu. You have to do here at Christmas - Special !
Service was excellent and food was amazing.
Highly recommend this place.
Just cannot beat that Sunday breakfast at Roly's. Excellent food, service with a smile and lovely atmosphere. Long may it continue !
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Well worth a visit
If you try the food you will witness the best in Dublin
Meeting a friend for lunch - so happy to have an excuse to visit Rolys again. The food and service have been consistently excellent through the years. Looking forward to my next visit.
So glad one of my favourite breakfast spots is back. They also keep me alive during lockdown with hot lattes and Raison Danish pastries.
Had full Irish breakfast here twice and can't complain. Decent meal, polite staff and good location opposite the American Embassy
Great dishes, very well presented and super tasty. Excellent wine list and good advice. I recommend
Roly's is unique I have been a customer on and off for over 20 years and can honestly say I've always enjoyed the whole experience of dining at Rolys.
Heard amazing things about rolys but i found it overrated. Maybe my expectations were too high but i found everything from the menu, the service and the food to be mediocre. Also there Is not a single option for vegetarians on the menu.
Love this place; staff always friendly; food always delicious.
Great food everything was nice. The crab claws, speciality steak and the creme brulee were the favourites of our meal.
Great food, great venue, spacious seating, good wine selection great for any occasion boozy lunch family birthday make sure to book well in advance..
This is what is meant by going out to experience something special. That's what Roly's Bistro is "something special" and the food is just excellent. Top marks for food and service. It was definitely worth making the effort to go out. When you go out you expect to get something "special" and this is definitely what we got.
I will definitely be going there again. Can't think of any negatives. Lovely experience.
Thanks again Roly's.
Hope to see ya soon.
Keep up the good work.
Very pleasant meal last summer in Roly's Bistro. Very attentive, professional waiting staff. Food superb
Restaurant was busy at 1pm in the afternoon which is always a good sign. The food was excellent and was served in good time. I didn't feel rushed and the staff were attentive but discrete. I would eat there again and soon
As always Ten out of Ten.Fantastic .The best in town
As ever an excellent dining experience. A very nice place to be, superb food catering for all dietary needs, complemented by excellent staff. Delivers consistently, highly recommend
5Stars for staff, service & food.... it's all amazing!! best steak ever :)
Great restaurant, recommended by local colleagues. Nice variety of food, mix of irish and international dishes for a good prices for a good restaurant.
Very good option for fine dining. Local dishes that are well made with a fine touch, good 3 course lunch menu. A bit expensive, but very reasonable for the quality if the food you get.
The usual haunt for all embassy staffs. Check out their great coffee. Good fare on offer also
Rolys is one of the best middle priced restaurants in Dublin. Only negatives are 1. It can be very loud upstairs on a busy day and 2. some items on the menu have not changed in years. Takeaway food option is very enticing.
An impressive restaurant with magic culinary and fine dining. Fabulous atmosphere, lovely place, delicious food and great service .
Nice atmosphere and extremely delicious food! My absolute favorite in Dublin.
Great waiter and waitress, they young lad and girl serving were quick, friendly and clean. Overpriced, below average food ( I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict - eggs were soggy and were poached in water with too much vinegar, hollandaise sauce was extremely thick and sweet almost like custard. It cost just over 13)
The food is consistently good and atmosphere is lovely but over the last couple of years I have noticed that the service has slowed down meals that were once comfortable at an hour now drawn out to two.
Excellent food , nice atmosphere. Excellent staff.
The coffee shop has nice fresh pastry & bread .. coffee , meal .
Just didn't like anything about it. Food, staff, service or ambiance.
Excellent. high quality beautifully prepared and presented.
The quality of the food was actually very good for the starters and desserts, however I ticked the 'fair' box because both the person opposite me and I ordered the lamb & vegetable pie for the main course - afterwards we both agreed that it had been beef, not lamb in the pies, and rather tough beef at that. We felt it was an insult to our intelligence! We did not say anything at the time as it was a birthday lunch and we did not want to upset the host, whose birthday it was.
Pre-Rugby Match Lunch; just lovely, great food and service
