I'm very happy with RockAuto, I've been restoring a 1971 Ford F-250 4x4, there prices and selection are fantastic. Where I live shipping is always a hassle, once FedEx lost my part. I contacted RockAuto and they sent another at no charge, you can't beat that!

if you order from them you better have real auto parts knowledge to get what you need from their catalog and have it be the right part. use paypal protected pay service for your protection, you can thank me later after reading lots of reviews. customer service has changed in the last couple years again read reviews.

Had a part number from Dodge, put it in the system, Dodge has since then updated the part, Rock Auto sent the new part, I ordered the old. They took the part back and made me pay for the return. The customer service lady was RUDE! They will not get any more of my money.

Bought an inner tie rod that was incorrectly labeled on their site. Even when compared to every other brand, you can clearly see from the pictures they mixed up the driver and passenger sides, but won't admit fault. Lost a loyal customer

I saw the Company on google- looked at the prices ...

I saw the Company on google- looked at the prices and shipping costs to New Zealand. I could accurately identify the parts I required because of the photos- full descriptions of each part- and selection of price points
I decided to complete an online purchase.
The process was faultless and within hours my parts were on their way from the USA to NZ with instant trace on the shipping progress.
Order had an estimated delivery date to my door- which is a tall ask sending stuff from the USA to the South Pacific. The date proved to be exactly correct.
The parts were exactly what I wanted- prices were lower than competitors- much cheaper than trying to source from a New Zealand vendor . Do not hesitate. This is the place to shop for American car parts

Worst customer service ever had package stolen I contacted FedEx they were very much willing to help because it was the drivers fault but explain to me that rockauto had to put in the claim. I contacted them and they insited that they will not file it. Now that is very bad customer service. I even email the VP never heard a thing. Will sread the word and will never purchase anything from them,people read the reviews I am not the only one. It's a family own business thats all.

Very bad experience with rockauto website. I ordered front and rear pads and rotors for my r53 and they ended up sending me the wrong front pads. Not a big deal until I tried to get them to correct their mistake. It seems that they will send me the correct ones, but I gotta pay shipping for the old ones back to them and to ship the new ones to me... As I am in Canada these charges will be more than the pads are worth. So just a heads up to you all, if rockauto makes a mistake on your order you will be responsible for the shipping expense

Now they have blocked me and removed my review from their Facebook page... Pretty shady!!

I love the options, prices and value for what I need. My only issue is the return policy of within 30 days. Sometimes, I'm working on a car and get delayed in returning a part and miss getting a refund. I have no issues returning to my local auto parts store. I'm sometimes juggling 15-20 car repairs and get delayed. I'm had to start buying more locally to ensure I can return if needed.

Almost a couple of hundred dollars worth of parts ...

Almost a couple of hundred dollars worth of parts never arrived. FedEx has no delivery receipt. They said even they can't contact Rock Auto. Rock Auto has no customer service phone numbers and their emails are all auto-redirected to a helpless loop. I'll just chalk it up to education and take my loss but I will not use Rock Auto again nor would I ever recommend it. I'm posting my complaint in several auto supply stores that have real human interaction.

I have order over $5000 of stuff in the last 3 yea...

I have order over $5000 of stuff in the last 3 years. But 5 out of the ten last orders have had problems. Shipped wrong part. Failed to ship part. Shipped 6 injectors that were boxed wrong. Today got a "reman" compressor that looked like a 3 year old spray painted in and I had no choice to put on because customer was waiting on it. Started it up and the clutch on compressor had very loud scraping noise.... Lost faith in their ability to deliver correct working part.

Purchased TWO WJB wheel hubs for a 98 Volvo V70. That was my first mistake. One lasted 3500 miles and the other went at 5000. All I can get is a direct replacement per manufacturers warranty. Well, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice .... I'm not interested in replacing hubs every three months. I can't believe Rockauto carries such junk!! FCP - lifetime warranty, no questions asked) or dealer only from now on!!!!!

Part (heater blower motor) arrived with broken plastic fan wheel. Shipping box was OK so likely due to inadequate packaging to protect surrounding plastic component attached to heavy motor. RockAuto provided free FedEx return label for entire part but would have been better to return just the broken plastic component. Replacement part arrived quickly but with broken plastic attachment flange, again apparently due to inadequate packaging. This time no replacement part is available so I am being charged $6+ to return the broken parts while being issued a refund. Not acceptable business practices.

I am very weary of shopping online with companies I don't know. I needed a part that Rock Auto carried at the best price I could find and what sealed the deal was the shipping options where spelled out so clearly!!! I would use them again with no fear. Please with everything! I paid less for the part including shipping than others were asking just for the item. it arrived on time and was exactly how described on the site. Perfect!

Generally they are very good. When they screw up they remedy it. They have a fair and reasonable return policy. Once in awhile one of their flunkies gets stupid, but just ask for their boss and issues get resolved.

I've used Rock Auto for years and have never has such a horrible experience with them before. They have seriously gone down hill in parts quality and customer service. I've had to do exchanges before and never had any problem until now. Defective part and horrible customer service! Once installed a hydraulic tensioner for one of the timing chains in my 2002 Ford Explorer was defective and seized up, causing the timing chain to be thrown and my engine to be ruined. Their answer to my problem was for me to pay for another timing kit, use what I needed out of it then return it for a refund. However, that's not going to help with the rest of the problem, the engine in my vehicle is trashed and they claim it's my problem. Horrible customer service, they take no responsibility for the parts they sell, and try to lay the blame on the parts manufacturer and their return policy. I run an auto repair shop and have never seen such doings. I will definitely not be recommending them to any more of my customers, family or friends.

Ordered a radiator from them to replace one that had a hole in it, only to receive a radiator that was in worse shape. Now, that is understandable, and does happen -- but I couldn't actually talk to anyone about it. You call them, and they tell you to go to their website, and fill out a form, and sit and wait. Very dissatisfied, and will not order from them again.

Way to often I get parts that dont fit, or are not even remotely close to what it says it's for. I've given rockauto more than a few chances. Wouldn't recommend them. what you save in dollars, you will spend twofold in stress. They expect you to pay for all shipping on returns and replacement parts. They won't refund any upgraded shipping costs even when it's their error. Crazy rude customer service, just don't waste your time or money on this company.

That is non-existent customer service. I should have looked into a customer service department before I ordered....never again.

Hi Rockauto,

I received my struts assembly 3 days ago and my Throttle body gasket yesterday. They both arrived earlier than my expect. I put the new struts (Acdelco) in my car and they are awesome ( better than Gabriel Struts). I am very happy with their performance. At the same time, I save tons of money. My CMP classic GM dealer quote me $800 for 2 front struts and I got for $511 (the whole assembly with coil spring) including shipping at Rockauto. Thank you so much for the quality Acdelco struts and the savings.

Enjoy RAP . Great prices . I work in auto store and most parts I receive are way cheaper than the same parts I sell even with discount. I've ordered 3 times last month I've learned to check shipping delivery times closely some times it faster to pay extra to receive your parts rather than wait with project stalled for needing a part to continue

Ever since a friend of mine told me about RockAuto and then trying them out, I was extrememly satisfied. I won't get parts anywhere else. Their prompt shipping and always getting the order right along with fantastic prices...you can't get any better than that. Thank you RockAuto ya'll are the bomb diggity in my book.

i have used Rock auto a lot over the years and they are usually very good. But let me say when things go wrong you are kinda SOL. (_HIT out of luck) i had a parcel lost and there is no way i can confirm with either the carrier (DHL ) or Rock auto on how they will make this right. i would also say DHL is one of the worst courier companies i have dealt with so i guess this review is more about them. good grief.

I recently purchased quite a few parts on one order, and all was delivered within a few days. I've order parts from before, they turned out to be the wrong size part for my car. With in a day I had a return label and was able to return the parts with no hassle, refund was right on time. But the biggest plus to this company (besides decent priced parts) is the quick delivery and service I've had so far with all the parts ive order. Majority of the time parts are spot on from descriptions.

Only major downside is they do offer a wide variety of brands and parts for various sections for your vehicle, so you can easily and mistakenly get the wrong part (so do a bit of research on what you need or get in contact with them, they will help you as best as they can).

Highly recommend shopping here before going to a parts store (which you may pay more)

I have been buying parts from Rock Auto for a number of years and a number of vehicles, they supply good quality parts, fast shipping and no hassle returns if needed. Warranty items are taken care of quickly with no problems. I will continue to use Rock Auto as long as I can continue working on my own vehicles.

I sent part back for a refund with the date it was shipped which was exactly one day before the warranty expired. Not only did they not refund my money, but did not even explain why. I have the shipping date and who received it still no explanation. I will never buy auto parts on line again

Prices of every part in Rockauto's catalogue is super cheap and affordable but shipping charges are way too expensive. For a single Pcv valve of $3 they charge $30.99 shipping which is totally not acceptable. Upon that the, shipping rates keep on changing within few hours sometimes.

Overall I have a very good experience with Rockauto. Hope they workout something to reduce the shipping rates and more shipping options for every part in order to attract more and more customers

Completely avoiding rockauto until they improve their customer service (or complete lack thereof). A customer service number is essential in 2021... I don't understand how this was overlooked. I'd rather pay more for parts and have the ability to speak with a representative about an issue with my order rather than paying $45 for shipping on a $11 part that I was unable to cancel.

WORST customer service ever! First time I called, I waited 8-12 minutes and was disconnected. The second time I called I finally got a rep on the line after 10 minutes and Was given rude and unapologetic attitude by an associate named Allison. Refused to pass me over to a supervisor. Said that Susan (her supervisor), and I quote, "would review the the call and see if my call was worthy of a call back". My order has been mis-shipped and mis-handled by DHL, whom they've chosen to use as their preferred shipper. It's been almost two weeks and still no part, no apology, no anything. This is the LAST time I order from this 1/2 assed outfit.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I have never dealt with such a dishonorable, worthless company ever. They sell defective parts and offer no warranty so if you buy from them use a form of payment with recourse because they have no self respect or dignity as a company. I WILL NEVER waste my time or money on another junk rock auto part because there is no point in wasting days waiting for a part, hours to install it per manufacturer specs, only to find the part is worse than the one I pulled out of the vehicle. Where I come from, if you sell a defective product you appologize for the inconvenience to the customer and get it rectified immediately, you don't run away from that responsibility like a child unfortunately rock auto lives by a code of greed, and complete lack of respect for the customer. Never again will you get my money. I suggest anyone that reads this post thinks twice about rolling the dice with this company

I hate waiting to get my parts but I'm saving 50%-90% on parts, even with 2 day shipping. Ive bought parts for my '97 Honda Civic 5 speed and my '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0l. Very impressed with the overall quality, price, and shipment times.

This company is a "buyer be ware" for its product. I recently purchased an a/c compressor kit and had it installed. The normal return policy is 30 days from date of purchase, not receipt. I had it installed at a local Dodge dealership, found it was low on oil and topped it off and installed all the recommended components. The unit failed after 700 miles and 6 days outside the full return for refund policy time. My only recourse is now to purchase a new unit and return the failed unit after I get the new part in 6 days as a new return. That is crazy! I spent over $250.00 on an installation alone that now I am stuck with and they want me to get another piece of junk of the same item and spend another $250.00 for installation without any compensation of my first failure. I found that if I has stayed with my local AutoZone store, I could have purchased the same unit and all would have been taken care of locally for less money. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" certainly is what I got and I now am at the point of it would have been cheaper to let the dealer put in a OEM compressor since it will now cost me that same out of pocket money as going through all of this twice. Good luck to any of you that deal with this company if you have failures you need to deal with.

Ordered Brute Force clutch master cylinder and received a duralast that does not even come close to fitting my car and when i called duralast tech line they said the part number i have is for Auto Zone and Rock auto says that it is the part i ordered so i am responsible for all shipping cost !! It is not what i ordered so i will never use them again and will go out of my way to make sure as many people as possible are aware of the bait and switch practice they use !! Helps that I am retired and spend most of my time on social media !!!

I know where the parts are manufactured that I want and they're in my town but yet it's going to cost me 40% of the parts cost to have them shipped across town!! Without customer service or an option to pick up this company has left me very disappointed. And I've used them for years happily until now.

wrong part sent , Rock Auto would do nothing to speed up the process of getting the right part to me after they acknowledged they had messed up. simply told me to " reorder " and wanted me to take the wrong part to Fed Ex instead of having it picked up. Good until they make a mistake , then they do nothing to treat the customer right. I'm done.

Rock auto has got to be easiest and by far the least expensive site to order car parts on line. I have never had any issue with any of the parts i have ordered. The quality is top notch and the quickness of the time you order until the time the parts make it to their destination has to be faster than any other site on the web. What's to like about Rockauto? I ordered name brand Timken bearings, because I wanted quality parts, so the repair will last. What was delivered was some Asian knock off of obviously dubious quality in a Timken lookalike box. That's fraud to me. I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody. Never again.

This is a great company to do business with. I had ordered a radiator that arrived damaged due to Fedex's handling. I submitted a report to Rock Auto immediately about the problem and within two hours I had an email saying that they were sorry about the damage and that a new part would be shipped at no additional expense. The next day my part was shipped and three days later I received it in excellent condition.
