My family and I have stayed in the yurts at riverside for the past 4 summers. Amazing experience. Tented and trailered over the years. Great campsite and amenities. Will keep coming back. All you negative nellies, your camping!!!! Not a five star hotel. And yes whistler is a bit more pricy but well worth the experience.

We usually camp here every June for several days in our travel trailer. The park is very clean and well run, adjacent to the Whistler trail system so we can hop on our bikes and start exploring easily. Washrooms are very clean and well maintained. Campsites very easy to back into.

A great place to glamp. Practically walking distance to Whistler village. They have everything from a tent camp site, yurts, RV spots and full on cabins. Fun for groups too. It's a bit pricey for real camping but it's far from real camping. Lol. Great for non campers.

One of the best places if you are looking for a quiet weekend for your self or fun with friends.
Clean and well maintained fully equipped yurts and cabins, lots of attractions near by along with other necessities.
Been there before and will be back.
Highly recommended.

Stayed here a couple times now with my RV. Is a bit pricey but the Whistler village is within walking distance which makes it worth it. The staff are always really nice and there's an excellent little cafe for breakfast right in the main building. Recently they've started charging for showers but they say it's just to conserve water so it's not unreasonable

Large well-kept resort near Whistler with cabins and places for campers and tents. Bit terraced. Whistler is the winter sports resort of Canada; this was also the most expensive place of our tour.

We ve have been camping for many, many years all over the Western United States, British Columbia and Alberta. Nice people everywhere Whistler s Riverside Resort is an exception.
Small, very narrow parking spots for your trailer or motorhome separated by shrubbery where you share every special camping-moment with your neighbors on both sides. If you have a problem, the resort front-deck is generally staffed by socially inept teenage or 20-somethings who have difficulty managing more than two things at once, and will treat you critically if you ve disturbing that delicate balance. ( we ve camped there before and experienced this first-hand). We scheduled a weekend the end of this July, 2017 but my daughter s husband, an Army veteran became critically ill (from an injury in Afghanistan), I called Riverside Resort (over a week before our arrival date) to cancel our reserve and explained why No. If it s not before two-weeks, we absolutely will not refund your deposit. it doesn t matter, we won t. You need to email a cancellation request in writing or we ll charge you for the full stay. it doesn t matter (the young lady on the phone was very snooty and rude ), that s our policy!
I tried to email a cancellation request, their email server wouldn t respond
Very nice. disgruntled and more than a little angry I found and emailed their Corporate BC Regional Manager explaining my frustrations. sorry, no exceptions!
If you can possibly avoid Whistler s Riverside Resort do so.
tiny sites, unsympathetic staff, and if you have a problem, you ll be treated badly.

Cabin and yurts looks good, but tent site is terrible. Cars not able to access camp site, there are parking site nearby, but need to walk 5 -10 minutes. Lost of mosquitos because little pond and creek. Tent site is so small, very close to between another site. I would not pay for that pricey. The first day, we arrived 50 minutes early, but the staff did not checked in due to not ready, yet. However, when I checked the camp site, lots of site available. Also, This campsite is do not need to reserve unless long weekend. I made reservation for $8 each day, totally waste of money. I booked 3 nights, but we stayed 2 nights. I do not want coming back.

Great place for loud parties but don t expect to sleep if you re staying in a tent:( We camped here for 2 nights with our children. The first night at 11pm, other campers were very loud, blaring loud music and partying. They partied until 3am. The signs indicated that there was a quiet time after 11pm but obviously this was not enforced by Riverside staff. I phoned the manager the next day and she told me to call the emergency after hours number for noise complaints which I did that night when the loud campers were rowdy. I called 10 times and no one answered. I even left a voicemail about the noise.

It is a shame because the campsite itself is nice enough, close to the bike path which takes you to whistler. The bathrooms were clean, 1$ showers hot and overall decent facilities. But due to the noisy campers and how it was not dealt with, I will never stay here again.

Nice campsite with normal pitches.

Nice campsite with normal pitches.
Wi-Fi is woefully bad.
The shower is ridiculous you have to buy a shower card of 5 dollars and also pay a 10 dollar deposit for the same shower card and you can top it up with 5 dollars every time.
All in all, a hefty price tag for a 1x shower will cost you $ 1 to 5 minutes and if you don't use up the money on the card, you won't get it back.
Nice for 1 or 2 nights and shower in your own camper.
It is a bit too far to walk to Whistler (35 min brisk walk).
For the money you paid ($ 149 for 2 nights) you can expect the shower to be free.

Fine campground, spots we were in were wooded but right off the pathway so no privacy. Nice little cafe, bathrooms were ok, good playground and cute cabins. At least a mile to Whistler village, so not easy to get there, but the closest campground I'm sure.

One of our favorite camping spots. Very close to Whistler for hiking. Many bike paths from the campground leading to the village and around the area. We have tent camped and stayed in their yurts on different occasions. Highly recommended.

Very expensive, showers cost extra, no hot water at the sink of the men's washrooms, apparently shaving is not desirable !? Cleanliness is given. Pitches rather small, but otherwise quite quiet and you can even walk into the town well

If you want to leave the dust mites for a few days, this is a good place. There are some nice spots nearby, even on foot. Exquisite and lovely log house, suitable for a family of four for three or four days.

Currently staying here and regretting it. They clean the bathrooms in the middle of winter when you are in there showering and leave the door wide open. It's the middle of the morning and you can't access the bathrooms. Tried to do laundry and the machines ate all our coins, when we asked managment for a refund they told us it was our fault: "don't just keep putting money in." Terrible customer service, unhelpful and they refuse to answer even the simplest of questions. The cafe is small and overpriced, just like their campsites. Try Airbnb or an actual hotel, save yourself the waste of money.

I never write reviews but frankly, the experience I had with the new ownership of this company was worth taking the time. The customer service is one of the worst I have experienced and their terms and conditions are really unreasonable. It s a shame because it used to be so great with the old owners! Save your energy and find another place to stay in whistler.

Most expensive and not worth it campground we had during our 3 weeks stay in Canada. Dirty - 4 days uncleaned according to the signed cleaning schedule - bathrooms, extra cash for a below average shower needed.
Wouldn t come here again.

Went for our babymoon and a truly magical experience. We saw chipmunks and a pika. Also, took a hike up Nairns Falls while 8 months pregnant with twins. We also had a great couples massage at Scandinave Spa which was 5 mins away from out yurt which was also delightful. Best choice we ever made.

I lived in cabin. There was only ice water suddenly when i was taking the shower. I called the reception and no one took my call. Obviously, no one would help you no matter what happens at night.

Dirty showers during our 2 nights stay, Campgroundpreise viiiel too high, for such a dirty and puny washroom. The way to the park slot was not well explained. Ancestors or running would have been better. Unfortunately we have lost our way.

Good location.. and a good price. About 5-6min drive to Whistler village. Very cosy cabin. They claim 5 people but I would treat it as 3 people (one being on the sofa) and 2 kids. The attic is very small with two beds pushed all the way to the side and cannot hold a full size adult as you can even hit your head just sleeping. Overall good experience.

The tent sites were very nice. The vegetation made it feel very private. The showers are marvellous but the bathrooms themselves were cramped and definitely not big enough for the amount of traffic that goes through there. They need more bathrooms or bigger facilities.

I love this place and keep coming back, I have been coming for years and years and of course there have been some low points but most of the time everything is amazing, some sites are better than others but you sure can't beat the location. Staff is super friendly, also check out the cafe, don't be in a rush and you will not be disappointed.

We were excited to have a relaxing long weekend in Whistler, but were quite disappointed. We booked a yurt, which was nice enough- it was clean, warm, and had decent beds. What was not great was the location of the yurts within the resort. The Scandinave Spa is right next door, and they are doing some sort of renovation or construction, so ALL guests are being rerouted down the road where the yurts are located to access the spa. This means that there are literally people walking by your yurt every few minutes from morning until night. This also meant that there were constantly shuttles, taxis, and golf carts driving by, shuttling people to the spa. They have also put up giant spotlights that are turned on as soon as it get dark, which are powered by an extremely loud generator that is literally right next to the yurts. We arrived at night so didn't notice any of this until the next morning. We decided to ask about moving to a more quiet yurt, but were (rudely) told by staff that there were only two free yurts (even though they were almost all empty, by our observation), and also stated it would be an extra night's fee ($150) to change. It would have been nice for the resort to have either put us in a yurt that was further from the road, or to have at least told us that there would be a lot of noise and people walking by. It felt like we were staying in a parking lot all weekend, which was far from what we were hoping for.

I heard from my friends, it is lovely place and personally from my experience, yes it is.
There are so many Activities to do. a good place to explore the nature. Good for kids also, park with swings and play ground.
But I disappointed with restrooms. They were dirty and number of restrooms are very less. They should increase it.
Moreover, It is bear area so they should ready for emergency all the time but No-One attend the calls on front desk. According to my opinion a mature/experienced person should be on the front desk to understand your issues.

Very nice RV park with lots of plants and trees. Tastefully terraced. At the loops are each the washing / shower houses, which are in a good and clean condition. Free, hot water in the showers (Loop M). At the places with electricity / water there is a dump station at the exit. Exemplary connections for electricity and water. Very friendly staff. IMO good value for the proximity to Whistler City.

It wasnt clear on the amenities available. We had problems with our RV gray & black water system and desperately needed to clean up and get a shower. BUT THEY WERE LOCKED AND THE CODE DIDNT WORK. For the price we paid these comforts needed to be provided. We needed to wash our hands and go to the washroom!!
I would NOT recommend this place, too pricey for what you don't get.

Very friendly staff but does not compensate for the most expensive parking spot you will ever sleep in.

Mind Bogglingly over priced, and yet they can't even supply you with half decent wifi.

If considering winter camping and driving a large trailer or RV to riverside be extremely careful or consider not coming at all due to their road maintenance. The municipally cleared roads are fine throughout winter and generally everywhere else in town but as soon as you turn into the RV park its as if your 80k up a logging road.

After staying here I feel as though the people who own this resort are sitting in their mansions laughing at what they can get away with.

Riverside Resort is taking advantage of the people suffering from the housing crisis by upping the monthly rent and charging people $1200 a month for a parking spot with a hole in the ground. While staying here you receive a "Metered site" which includes 100 dollars worth of electricity, however if you don't go under that 100 dollars you don't get any money back.

You have to pay to use their facilities.. want to have a shower? Make sure you go into their main offices while their open to buy "shower" tokens. The showers also only last 6 minutes after that they shut off, perfect for getting stuck naked with shampoo in your hair!! This place seriously is a nightmare. It feels like they're squeezing every dime out of you.

I understand that this place has just gone under new management and that these are all new "upgrades" to the RV park but something needs to change... it is just such a rip off.

*I had to re-boot the internet 6 times to post this.

The most expensive campground on our tour through BC and Alberta. Don't expect something special for your money. The campground is clean and located nicely near a river and trail to town. Even though the site is pretty big, the number of bathrooms is limited and you have to pay extra for the shower.

Premium spot. Best RV camp in Whistler. Only about a mile or so from the ski village. Great biking trails and a cute little restaurant as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice views especially from the upper camp sites.

Lovely area for camping. The little stream that runs through the camp is simply charming. The facilities are all very good and clean and there is plenty of space for big groups. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Very expensive! You definitely do not get your money's worth here!
Moderately dirty showers which are not free and the shower heads are really low hanging ( we are not excessively tall!).
Worst off all: the limitation on the Wi-Fi. You can barely check your email and browse a few websites before it slows to nearly nothing.
The staff was quite friendly, like everywhere in Canada. The grounds are also very well kept. But at 71 dollars a night for full hook-up, you expect better.
