DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!!
Would put 0 stars if I could. We booked a yurt and the staff knowingly gave us a yurt in a place without any nearby available washrooms. Staff is inconsiderate and did not even let us rebook for a cabin, instead giving us a full refund, forcing us to book a hotel at another place. We were looking forward to a fun family and cousins trip but now we are separated from them.
ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS PLACE! Highly recommend the yurts, we stayed in the winter and after the heater warmed it up it stayed warm all night mid winter, right beside the spa we took a bath and walked the path back to the yurts. The front desk lady's are always super helpful and welcoming, defintly best place to stay in whistler.
DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS CAMPGROUND. The security guards at night are SO RUDE. They will kick you out for not pouring a bucket of water over your fire. TERRIBLE CAMPGROUND. Way to expensive. Horribly rude people that work there. 1 star is being generous. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Reasonable prices, friendly staff and clean restrooms. Would go there again
great place to go but the staff can be very rude, arrogant and unaccomodating.
If the campground were cheaper, I would give 4 *. Think competition would do the campground well. You have to pay 1 dollar for the showers which you have to load on a pass. Most campgrounds offer free showers, so that should be for this price. We found that the showers also worked without a pass. The center of Whistler is a nice walk, 2.8 km. You also have the option of taking the bus that leaves a little further. It costs 3 dollars each way. The privacy was reasonable. Wifi very bad at the place where we were. Found bear poop next to the camper, unfortunately not seen the bears themselves.
Last time I gave this place a 5/5, but after my experience this weekend Ive had to downgrade it to a 3/5. We used to camp here all the time, and it was a great base for exploring the surrounding area. However, I'm wondering if the management has changed, as it has turned into a Riverside Rip-off. The bathrooms weren't cleaned once in my time staying there - every time I used them there was no toilet paper, and hair and dirt all over the basin and floors. Considering we paid $66 for a tent site (not including showers), I expected more. Another gripe was that we specifically booked in advance to secure our desired campsite, only to find we had been moved on the day to a far less desirable site with v little privacy. When I asked if we could move, I was told that the camp was full, and everyone else had checked in already. However, there were a couple of secluded sites that remained empty all night. Ultimately, it was disappointing to have a negative experience after pretty positive stays in the past. I get that Whistler is an expensive area, but the lack of care and service was a real shame - next time I'll be checking into a BC Hydro camp instead, as they tend to be managed beautifully.
Very clean sites and super quiet. Would definitely come back.
Nice little rv park. Only ever used it in the winter, but rates are decent and it's very close to the village.
Beautiful place, decent camp site. We stayed for two days. What we were not told was campfires are to be put out at 10pm!!! First night we arrive after a day of traveling around 7 check in was fairly easy but clearly lacking professionalism maybe new hires?! We get to our campsite at 7:30 it was an OK size but no privacy. We had to hand pack everything in. We quickly set up our tent, start on dinner and light a fire. When we are done eating around 9:30 we hand pack everything back to the truck because of bear proofing. we get back to our campsite and can't wait to relax by the campfire, just the two of us no kids, when a guy starts yelling at everyone to put out there campfires. When people asked why he said it was the rules and front desk told us about them. First no they didn't! Second he didn't need to be rude about it. Third it was bloody cold this weekend and that's are only source of heat unlike the RVs on the property. Here's the best part my husband and I decided to go for a walk that evening all the fire pits in front of the RVs where all lite they hadn't been told to turn there's off. Saturday morning wake up have a shower, I put tokens in because you have to pay to shower, and no hot water spent $4.00 to take a cold shower after being freezing all night do to no camp fires.Skip forward to check out day Sunday, 8:30am..office is closed I'm trying to return a propane tank, there's people trying to check out but there's no staff. I've never seen anything like that, cafe closed too?! Whistler is stunning and the camps site are OK, but the staff and the rules really knock this place down a peg. It could be great if campfires where allowed til midnight and quiet time was at 10pm.
Wifi is a bit slow and annoying that it goes off all the time. Also in the morning we had some noice because of leaf blowers (september) All the rest is good!
Awesome location close to the village and anything you'd want to see in Whistler. Nice facilities.
+ Beautiful location (by the creek)
+ Clean
neutral: distance to the place
- Showers cost extra
(- Bach is very lurid, and you can not splash in there lol)
It was a great private camping ground with beautiful view, clean wash rooms and shower rooms.
They supply water and electricity for each site. There was a playground, a beach ball court, and a mini golf. It was a fantastic exprience there with small kids.
Very clean, unfortunately, the shower costs extra, although the RV space with water and electricity in the standard already $ 68 CAD ...
2016.12 - Cabins are small but warm and cozy. Lovely place to be if it snows. A few minutes drive into Whistler village. Nice folks in the restaurant and store.
Great campground. Clean and well kept. Rv sites with trees tables and firepit. Good breakfast restaurant on site. Lovely location. 1 mile walk to Whistler village on river side trail
Nice and clean accommodatiob, and very easy reservation process.
Nice and very well-kept campsite. We had a great multi use place. Friendly service, very clean plumbing. Nice walk about 35 minutes to Whistler. At CAN69.50 / night I find chargeable showers outrageous, so one point deduction.
Not cheap, but amenities were fine. 1$ for 6 minutes of shower but they're hot and clean.
I stayed at a walk in campsite
Pros:
Nice shady spots in a forest
Potable water close by
Bike trail to town starts at campsite (10-15min to towncenter)
Bearproof foodstorage
Sink for dishwashing
Easy online booking
Cons:
Slow wifi
Washrooms needed reparations
Washrooms could be cleaner
Washroom far from some campsites
Pay extra for showers (1CAD per 6min)
Fireban info not up to date
Expensive, but well priced in comparison to other options in Whistler
1 star for the campsite
1 star for the location
Clean cozy spaces to lay your weary head and catch some zzz under the start night sky
Fees are equivalent to a monthly mortgage but site boasts a lot of amenities and proximity to activities.
Was awesome to stay here.. I ll start with my complaints.. understaffed, not enough toilets open due to shortage of staff, expensive .. around $60+ per night, smaller camp sites.
PROS!! LOCATION, wifi, dog friendly, beautiful
Beautiful site for tents near the village of Whistler about 5 minutes drive
Nice private parking space. Therefore, a bit more expensive.
Our campsite was nice, but many of the other sites are small. Close to Whistler village. But you have to pay extra for a shower, and the bathroom door slams shut which really bothered my wife as we were two campsites from the washroom.
Room are nice, location is beautiful, not close to main village though. Service was great but it's the fall in whistler so creekside is pretty dead
Great location. Clean bathrooms. Bike path to Whistler is right there. I would definitely go again
Closest campground to Whistler. Clean and well maintained. WiFi in the lodge and nearby.
Everything OK. The pitches are a bit narrow, the connections partly a little bad to reach, the bins were sometimes crowded, but all in all, a good place!
Very nice campground. The first spot we had was very small with no sewer. We called and asked for another spot with full hook-ups on our second last day which they were able to accommodate. The second spot was much larger then the first.
We would definitely stay here again. Very beautiful, a bike ride away from everything. Very nice.
Friendly staff. Close to the Village Center. Clean camp sites.
Nice but expensive campground. It's a good idea to see the site layout and request a specific site.
Full hook up sites are small and close together but still with descent privacy and location is King! For accommodations so close to Whistler, you cant beat the price. Cabins amd Yurts are cozy and reasonably price for the location. Great place for families to stay to enjoy the Whistler area.
Great place. Clean washrooms and amenities. We'll be back.
Drove thru this place exploring places to bring my 24 foot RV. I doubt we'd fit into many of these sites. Crossed this one off our list of places to visit.
Van camping so only booked to have access to bathrooms and shower facilities. Expensive as the only sites for vans are full hookups sites which are unneeded services for our vehicle. Had to pay extra to use showers, and bathrooms were out of basic nesessary items. Small sites, woke up to neighbours in RV eating 2 feet away from our tent ladder.
Rather camp on the side of the road or pay extra for hotel.
Great location and quiet area, however.
Nice tent sites and group area, great little cafe, walking distance to the village.
Clean campsite. Vancouver is within walking distance. A bit expensive.
Place is rather alright. Not so far from the village center. Tent area is really far from the whole thing. You cannot park near your tent you have to drive to the separate parking that is located from 10-200m from tent sites. For this kind of price showers should be free. WiFi on the tent area is really poor or just doesn t work at all. There is bear proof boxes next to each campsite. Service was nice and helpful.
Great campsite, with very friendly and helpful staff. Nice walk in to the village along the forest path. Taxi cheap for the return journey. Lots of food and drink outlets close by
We stayed for 3 days in the RV Park in August 17. Great facilities and not too far from the town. Watch out for bears!
Great for families and kids. Clean campsites with great amenities. Would highly recommend
Lovely park, situated about a 20 minute walk into the village with a great cycle path.
Reception was very friendly and welcoming and received good advice when asked.
Clean, good wifi, and a private bus service which to be honest could do with more time options.
Great security for showers.
Can't comment on the shower blocks as we used our RV.
We would definitely use this site again!
Stayed here twice with pickup truck & travel trailer RV. Tight turns into sandi dumps. Not enough full service lots.
Back ups lots are okay with power & water. Stayed in RV, did not use wash rooms. Did not notice public sink to wash dishes. Maybe in tent area. No wifi in my area.
What not to love!?
Best Camping spot, friendly staff.
Beautiful Whistler
It's okay here, but it's outrageously expensive. Water pressure too low, so showering in your motorhome is looking for drops.
Great option if you want to camp near Whistler Village and you're OK with a small site. We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed the convenience to the Village so that we could ride our bikes back and forth without having to move the RV. The sites are small and very close together, but the other people in our zone were very quiet and noise was no problem at all. Showers are $1 for 6 minutes, bathrooms are in very limited supply for the number of campsites; often there's a wait to take a shower or use the washrooms. Overall a very nice experience.
Staff were ugly, beds were uncomfortable, roaches, odour typical of toe jam 2/10 would not stay again
Nice campground but really needed to clean their restrooms more often and replace toiletries. We visited friends who were staying here and honestly have been in cleaner restrooms in Mexico!
Very expensive. The tent area is walk in, and for shower you need even an extra coin to shower limited time. But there are not much other tenting options around...
The staff was friendly.
very expensive.
pay extra for the shower
very close together
unfriendly staff
This campground is a shame. It is very expensive (more than 70 $ in low season) for... NOTHING! You have to pay extra for the shower and the campsite is basic, just like a parking place with energy and water. The campground is very impersonal. Just big. Nothing more. The only positive point was that we got a canpsite in a short term. But there's absolutely NOTHING to pay more than 70 $ for.
I often stay here when in Whistler. The location is fantastic. It is right on the town bike path system and xc ski trail. It s an easy 10 min bike ride to the village. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. It s expensive (59$ per night), but that s Whistler. I was a little peeved that you had to pay for showers, but there is a free washroom for showers if you don t mind a lot of mold. Otherwise clean and well run. Poor internet.
