Port of Shahid Rajaee Port is one of the most important ports of Iran, with about 7 million tons of freight discharged and loaded annually, alone accounting for more than 2 percent of exports and imports and 2 percent of transit in the country's ports. There is also a 2% unloading of containerized goods in the complex.

This port is located 2 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas in the center of Hormozgan province and has a capacity of more than 2 million tons of cargo per year, with more than 5 hectares (operational and offshore). This port was in exchange for commodity exchange with 5 ports worldwide. The creation of the Special Economic Zone of Shahid Rajaee Port was approved by the Cabinet on 5 April.

The port has the capacity to ship a variety of ocean-going vessels, with five gate cranes (Gentry Crane) and about 7 berths, with the largest and most advanced container terminals in the country. Prior to the start of the US sanctions against the port (year 4), the world's 7 shipping lines attempted to evacuate their ports.
