One of the best places in town. In the summertime they have concerts outside and lots of events. Also love the interior with all these details from the old prison.

Local located in a very particular place: the old "Murate" prison. Externally well cared for inside nice but not too well cared for. Good cocktails. Recommended especially at the weekend because populated by many guys and especially because it also offers live music with seating space.

Stood at the counter for at least 5mins waiting while no one else in the cafe the 2 staff looked and saw me but just blanked me. Was made to feel a fool

Together with some friends I organized our graduation party for a total of 27 people with a private buffet at the table ( 15 per person). Despite the reservation and a further confirmation call the day before the party, the evening took place in a truly confused way. There were only three tables reserved, which obviously were not enough to seat all the invited people and only after several complaints were further seats added. Even the buffet at the table was not satisfactory and it consisted of only a few trays of couscous, pasta and some meat and sausage. Too bad because the Murate is a really nice place but, apparently, not suitable for large groups!

Magical place inside a former prison. The evening comes alive with laughter and cocktails and sometimes even live music and festivals of various kinds, while at lunch it turns into a quiet place where you can enjoy a nice break, maybe tasting the dishes on the menu. Offers a 8 menu including first, second and side dishes! Recommended!

I tried the new 10 euro aperitif formula which includes a cocktail and two fixed dishes. The quality of the drink is excellent, the food quality is average, the place is always pleasant, especially in the outdoor part. To underline that we had booked but there is no real control of the assigned tables, in fact ours was busy .. we went to another, but I do not know if it was already full if someone from the place would have intervened to solve the problem

First, in this place, there were the Florentine prisons: unthinkable! The transformation is amazing while remaining testimonies of the past life. A place certainly to be admired while sipping a great coffee

Wonderful service. The waitress allowed us to sample wines, had the kitchen open about 15min early just to accommodate us and was incredibly helpful. The pasta was delicious!

The beer in the pic costs 7 . Srsly!
The photo beer costs 8 with aperitif, 7 without. They call it media. The food is drenched in poor oil, overcooked pasta. The bathrooms are in unclean conditions already at 7 pm. A beautiful place with unjustifiable management. There are initiatives and the location is splendid. But there is no customer care, there is no attention to the quality of the offer and service. Such a pity.

La Murate is a nice place to hangout and have an " aperitivo " with special discount for student! You can have a nice buffet with a lots of various things to eat.

It's a great place. Although if you want a drink more, they charge you the same price as if you ask for it with the offer of unmatured drink and food.

Place is very nice, inside the old Florentine prison. There are people of all ages in an informal but well-kept environment. The aperitif is good and even cocktails. There are two defects in my opinion: if you order a Negroni the aperitif is not included and you have to pay it separately, but if you order a spritz is included. The second is that it is a rather noisy place

You pay for a drink, and so you can eat everything they put in, it's like a free buffet. (This is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) approx.
Pretty good, although my partner and I ordered the spritz to try it, and we didn't like it too much.

Aperitif abundant and quality. It's hard to find a place for large groups, especially in winter. Very popular but quiet location compared to the center of Florence.
