I can't believe I've lived in Florence for nearly a year and only just discovered this spot! Be sure to go inside and get a receipt for a drink before you order anything. The bartenders are talented, the location is great, and sometimes there's live music. Thanks to the high walls, you can't hear anything from outside, so it really feels like you're out of Florence.

We went for an aperitif around 19.00. Cozy location with background music suitable for chatting with friends. The satisfactory aperitif while the appetizers offered, in my opinion, were not at the level of everything else.

The aperitivo at Le Murate is simply the best. Whether fresh vegetables, cheese and olives, pastes and dips or the rich primis and secondis. Especially the high proportion of pure meat dishes, which you rarely get for a price of 8/9 euros, is recommended. Spicy;)
Otherwise, a wonderful location, which can offer both literature and a varied music program. The bar is definitely recommended. The restaurant has a hard time because there is good competition around the corner.

Good coffee and possibility to have an aperitif with a well-stocked buffet. Ideal meeting point thanks to a large internal courtyard equipped with tables to sit in company with a drink. Smaller but cozy interior environment, in some days there is the possibility to see live music.

Not only the location, or the food, or the drinks which by the way is amazing, the biggest plus for me has been the staffs there. Simply brilliant. Thank you and continue the good work.

Young people, nice rock music (finally not that usual Italian romance stuff that you hear all over the place ^^). Same prices for locals and tourists. Good buffet plus one drink for 8 . Nice yard to sit outside.

Place that deserves. Take two hours out of the hustle and bustle of tourism and dive into one of the most beautiful coffee bars in Italy with an absolute level cultural program.

But when you prepare the appetizers do you think of feeding them to the pigs? Be ashamed, a check should be made by the competent authorities.

Beautiful environment in the center of Florence that lends itself to many initiatives and events, both outside and inside.

The setting is very special, in a renovated area of the old prison of Florence, right on the outskirts of the historic center. When the weather allows it, the tables outside, located in one of the prison courtyards, are very suggestive. As for the name "literary", it probably refers to some photos of writers hanging on the walls and to the few books in a room: I don't know if there are also literary promotion activities.

The prices are very competitive: with 8 ( 7 for students) you can have the menu of the day (first and second course, with a choice of 3 offers, bread and water); the portions, however, I would call them "demonstrative" and if you need to fill your stomach, it is inevitable to take a few laps!
Having been there for lunch, I cannot comment on the evening offer: I don't know if it is a suitable place for an aperitif, or to munch on something easier with a beer: if so, the atmosphere would be the right one!
Really sore point, the toilets: it almost seems that those intended for prisoners have remained in use! If you can, hold it back ...

The food and the food was okay. The price was already a bit high. Although the restaurant is not right in the city center. But the location was very nice.

Local trend especially among college, cozy location but value for money definitely be improved.
