A very pleasant hotel with the most helpful and lovely staff. The host was so warm and welcoming we didn t want to leave!

This is one of the best hotels i stayed at. beautiful views. Very relaxing and the staff are very friendly they make you feel confortable specially Beatrice at the front, Mateo and the waitresses at the restaurant.

This is small winery inn on hillside overlooking their vineyard and olive trees.
Chef here prepared a unbelievable truffle dinner here. Travelling to so many places the dinner here was of the highest standard if not the best.
Rooms are well appointed. Beds and pillows are quality. Water pressure with a great water fall shower and oversized tub.
For our 30 yr anniversary so glad this was part of our tuscan journey

Amazing villa and property, close to Florence, perfect for a romantic marriage proposal, or a wedding.

Breakfast is included everyday, staff is extremely nice an accommodating, rooms are spacious and there's 3 pools to choose from!

Beautiful house and domain was there for the wedding of friends for a few days. Only lost a star because of a few misshap by the staff and service but definitely worth a visit.

Our stay at Villa Mangiacane was really special. The customer service was excellent. We felt like pampered guests throughout our stay. We asked for our complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, and the sommelier Angelo brought it to us and explained its origin. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside for a luxurious terrace upon our arrival while drinking the wine.

Our room was luxurious. We stayed in a Two-Bedroom Terrace Suite. The room had two floors, and it was a bit inconvenient to go up and down the stairs to pack. But the decor was really beautiful. Water and a mini fridge was provided. A toddler crib was provided for our daughter to sleep in, and our bed was very comfortable. The building itself had a huge shared terrace on every level, and a powder room in the hallway in case we didn't want to have to travel all the way up the stairs in our room to find a bathroom.

We took part in the offered wine tasting during our stay, and saw Angelo again. He took us for a tour around the property and talked to us about how they grow their wine grapes and their olives on the property, and how different sorts of wines are prepared. We brought our three year old with us on the tour, and he rolled through her distractions very well. The wine and food was delicious and we came away from the wine tasting feeling that we understood better what we were drinking. Angelo was obviously very experienced in customer service, but we were surprised to find out that he'd only been working at the property for a few days. Most of the staff had only just started working, and it seems that the staff at this hotel is seasonal. Even so, they were very professional and accommodating.

We spent a lot of our stay walking around the grounds and they are spectacular. The gardens and vineyards are well maintained an beautiful. The estate is up on a hill with wonderful views from all sides of Tuscan countryside. You can even see Florence in the distance. The interior of the buildings are beautifully decorated and the frescos attributed to Michelangelo on the walls are beautiful.

Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was delicious. Fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, salmon, yogurt, bread, juice and of course all kinds of coffee, just to name a few things.

Overall our stay was an excellent slice of luxury in our trip, and just the right taste of Tuscan countryside we were looking for.

Beautiful villa nestled in the Florentine hills. Ideal atmosphere to relax, with an outdoor area with dream pool. Discreet and kind staff. A further praise for the cuisine of extreme quality in the choice of raw materials and in their preparation. Good for the managers it is not always easy to have an excellent structure and make it even better thanks to the quality of the service.

The setting is amazing, the renovation spectacular and the food incredible

like all the places of Tuscany, they are magical and with a breathtaking view.

The "real" villa is unique and fantastic. Too bad it does not seem to be part of the hotel housed in the villa's annex with solutions far from the classicism of the place

We stopped here for a tour and tasting experience with dinner included on the way down to Siena. The tasting and dinner experience was great. Delicious wine and incredible food. The service was exception!

The chef "Francesco Lagi" was really rude. He tried to touch me, etc...Omg....!!!!
After I refused it, he got mad and became really rude. Unacceptable attitude.
The food was bad nothing special at all. and just over price!!!! Not worth it.
This villa is not good taste anyway. not Italian style. Mixing African painting or others.
Never go back this place and unfortunately, no way to recommend to anyone.
Ladies, be aware about the chef Francesco!! Such a Naughty chef!!! He should fired. :((

In a nutshell ..... A paradise nestled in the Chianti hills ....

We went there for a dinner, the food was ok and pricey for the quality provided. I understand the kitchen is led by a real chef but unfortunately the level of the dishes presented to us were very poorly executed and could please only the uneducated palate.

Beautiful place, with two nice pools, rooms have nice design and the stuff at the reception was very service minded.

But the restaurant was an awful experience. The service was slow and did not no anything from the menu. When I asked about the wine the stuff answered me; I think it is a good wine because this wine had won a price... Later the waiter told me he is not a expert on wine so he can t help me... WTF I am staying on a vineyard so the stuff most have some wine experience!!

About the food: it was slow service, they forgot orders (not only at our table) no experience and the food that came out was ok. One dish was so awful that I should murder the chef, because he/she has ruined such beautiful ingredients like a lobster! We told the waiter that it was overcooked and they made a new one. 45min later we got this time a Beautiful cooked lobster and it was served as it should be. This time we got lobster crackers and sea food fork so we could properly eat the lobster this time. But we got no compensation for this service.

Breakfast was ok, only hot food they were serving was egg dishes that you could order. But even during the breakfast was the service slow. I ordered a sunny side up. See the picture... like I said before I should k*** the cook, for failing with such a simple order, it only shows what a amateur is working in the kitchen.

By the way. The service was slow during dinner and lunch but I need point out that there only six people ate at the same time. So no excuse to forget so many orders and be so slow.

I told about the experience during check out and they took the criticism good so I really hope they will improve because it is a very nice spot.

This place is just wonderful. Highly recommend. Excellent staff. Beautiful house and gardens. Stunning dining room. We were a family of four and stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom, suite in the main house with a terrace. 10/10.

Terrible experience. The staff was completely misleading and took advantage of us being tourists. We scheduled a time to come out to the Villa to see the grounds and have a wine tasting and dinner. Once we got there (after shelling out 60 euros for cab fare from Florence) they conveniently informed us that the Villa has been rented out to a private family and we wouldn t be able to see it. What a joke. When I confronted the staff on their tactics they were extremely rude and played the card that we should have asked before coming . How about you inform your guests in advance if the main attraction of the entire winery is not available? Food was on par with what you would expect. Wine was underwhelming at best. Bottom line, don t trust this place. They have no problems fleecing you and taking your money along the way. To top it off I had to spend another 60 euros to get back to Florence. Such a wasted night in such a beautiful city like Florence. That s the most disappointing part of it all.

A mansion in the middle of vineyards and olive groves. Luxurious rooms. The view from the two terraces on Florence is breathtaking. Just stop by and do not be scared off the gate. The olive oil and the wine from our own production is very good.
