This is our 3rd time staying. This time we went with an executive suite. The room was nice. It is only about 1/2 the size bigger than a regular room with a couch and 2 TVs.
When we arrived we ate at round table, because of the buffet for $12 I believe. In the hour we were thier. They only out out 3 pizzas, 2 orders of garlic twists and 1 order of cinnamon twists. Beyond the lack of selection. The pizza was good.
We then went to hit some golf balls at the driving range. Always fun! Then spent some time at the pool which is nice. They have a 21 and older pool above with a bar.
All in all this was my best experience with The Grand Sierra and we will be back!

The arcade, bowling alley and movie theater help to make it a family oriented casino -- as much as a casino can be at least.

Amazing amount of things to do, for kids and adults. The elevators to floors 8-16 were a bit slow.

Fun place to take the kids. Their arcade is pretty big. Need more alcohol bars for the adults tho.

Very impressed with buffet variety and quality of food! Fresh and delicious not to mention we went for Sunday brunch and they don t hold back on mimosas! Will return.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Sierra. Excellent staff, games, rooms, and food. I am actually staying in another casino tonight that is supposed to ve the number 1 casino and I would prefer the Grand Sierra to this one...

Good atmosphere but cashiers need to be a lot more friendlier !!!!

The place is so fun they have things for adults and children to do like an arcade a pool a cinema and a candy shop for the kids and bars and of course a casino for the adults. The reasturaunts are realy good my favorite is the California pizza kitchen.

amazing hotel! very large, and had a wonderful experience! only thing is, the hotel wifi is super slow.

Nice comfy beds and pillows. Staff treats everyone very nice, and there is LOTS TO DO!! You will not be bored staying there, my friend and I never left the hotel that's how there is to do there.

Best hotel in Reno they have everything in one place and pool is the best of all the casinos

I definitely will come back here again. I would've gave 5 stars but my room was not cleaned very well. The shower looked like it wasn't cleaned at all and the sink as well. The room needed to be dusted too.

They are upgradng the casino and it looks great inside. I often stay here just for fun when the have promotions. No major issues except the charge you $1 per day for house keeping. I don't mind tipping room service I think its a liitle shady that they put it in there without telling you.

Slots suck most of the time!! Won a few jackpots but nothing to brag about!

This casino is horrible. The employees are more interested in trying to mess up someone's evening than they are interested in doing a good job, and the customer service manager in the morning is one of the rudest people I've ever had the mis-pleasure of encountering. I'd give this "resort" a -5 if I could. Definitely pass this one up, hell, a gas station is a better place to gamble than this.

Great newly renovated hotel rooms. Sometimes hot water runs out the farther down the hallways that you get. Charlie Palmer's is one of the best steakhouses in Reno. And the buffet is really good. Table games are usually right but I hear people have good success on the spot machines.

Beautiful building, lots of new stuff coming, though I still refer to it as the Hilton and I probably always will. I was here on business this time around but have always loved the place.

Food at grand cafe was horrible. Will not eat there again, told waitress, she just shrugged it off

New room decor is terrible. Johnny rockets is awesome and the waitress was great! Other restaurants are either way over priced and over hyped or terrible wait staff. Great holiday display in the front lobby! Limo driver was awesome, too! The kids love staying there, which is the main reason keep coming back.

I loved the new changes that have happened there it definitely has a nice feel to the whole place. The bowling alley was so fun and easy. The movie theater is so cheap and comfy

$99 after AAA discount to park my RV in their parking lot that doesn't even have a picnic table no thanks.

Great things for kids to do. Staff is extremely friendly. A couple of things bothered me. Uno Mas Street Tacos Restaurant didn't have a kids menu but the hostess said that they had items on the menu that kids would like. The only thing my grandson liked was the chips. The shrimp for the fajitas were to big to fit in the flour shell, and the taste of the shrimp was a little off, also the fajitas didn't come in lava bowl they were just on two plates. We weren't in the restaurant, they had us seated us in a lounge across from the restaurant. Totally missed the vibe of the restaurant. My husband and I were at GSR about a month before we decided to bring the family. We ate at Uno Mas and it was great but this time around it was awful and very pricey. One Night we had Johnny Rockets. My daughters hamburger wasn't fully cooked and my chicken sandwich was rubbery. Beyond the food problems, my grandson had a blast. We did the VR was awesome, he went swimming and played at the arcade. I bought a $100 game card and it last forever. Will take the family again.

Massive hotel and casino. Somewhat pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Great views all around. Unfortunately I'm not much of a gambler, so it wasn't all that appealing (was on a business trip), but the facilities were nice and large!

Ok I m gonna but totally honest here. No gimmick, no pump. This place is !!! I m trying to exactly figure out how to fit all I wanna say in this one lil review lol. Here it goes..

This place is exactly what you re looking for when you want a slice of Vegas without the hustle and bustle, super jam packed and chaotic environment. Imagine Vegas minus KRAZY large crowds smoke everywhere drunks all over the place and more enjoyable.. that s GSR.. There s literally something to do with all the family no person excluded. The kids areas are legit next level amazing. Escape room, 2 course go karts, VR rooms and rides, entire movie theater with only $4 tickets with the latest films, bowling, skyjump, lasertag, tons of arcades. And then there s the pool area. They ve got the 21 & up level with cabanas that perfectly overlook the infinite pool & general pool. A volleyball sand court, a kiddi play area for toddlers, heated pit areas, hot tubs and a grill and bar I ve successfully found my now home away from home. Fat Tuesday was just the icing on the cake. O wait and the slots and tables!!! HIT!!! Quick $600 buck no sooner than 15mins after I sat down on the penny machines. I can t wait till they fully open up so that I can do a proper review and one of my tried and true film edits documenting it. So be warned updates review coming soon

AMAZING RESORT AND HOTEL!!! Cannot recommend this place enough! Staff was always amazingly friendly from room service, front desk, security and everything in between. They made me feel welcomed and important and, as such, I want them to know how important they are to me in making my vacation an unforgettable one. I'm leaving this review on my own experience but I promise you I'm not the only one who feels this way. If you're staying in Reno, consider no other resort than the Grand Sierra <3

It was great but the food was not . Very nice hospitality . Beautiful place my wife and our room had a gorgeous view faceing the mountains. But food wasn't that great. There prime rib and other meats were very dry and the other food was Cold .

Went with boyfriend to check work schedule , waited in parking lot

Usually it's very good, but they made a horrible decision with their stairs/elevator policy. The stairs are not accessible from the outside in, so you cannot go from one floor to another without using the elevator, which can get incredibly crowded. Whoever made that decision really needs to look it over more, because that is not gonna work for long.

Worst resort ever, staff is rude and service is poor.

By far the best resort and casino in Reno. It's my second time here and refuse to go anywhere else. The buffet is great and I highly recommended trying Johnny Rockets burgers it's a great dinner and amazing price.

This place is a Pandemic cluster, avoid it at all cost. They won't care about people lives, there is no absolute care about the distance, proper air circulation, and maintaining min number in small areas like elevator.

Clean and spacious rooms. Buffet was good. Games assortment is the same as most casinos. Tried to win a good progressive on 9/6 dollar poker. No luck but fun trying. Will stay here again especially with comp room and free play offers in the mail. Overall good experience.

Horrible security ! Lady at desk on drugs and her supervisor Horrible needs to go back to the military where he came from !
I support our troops but this guy is definitely in wrong position ! Should not be supervising security guards in a high end resort should be in Iraq going off on our enemies ! Not people spending lots of money in there restaurant's and casino !
First VIP gave my credit card to security instead of just giving it back to me ! Then security lady so spun out couldn't find my card then head of security told me if I ever came back I would be arrested for trespassing because of there mistakes !
Completely unprofessional security supervisor needs extensive training in dealing with public !

Lots of fun, lots of restaurants, room was big and very nice. Only bad thing was the lack of microwave in the room.

Great place to go if they have a good entertainer. Rooms are nice, service is very good.

I'm a local, but a family member stayed there while visiting. They allow dogs, the food is great, and they have lots to do that is not gambling related. It doesn't smell like smoke unless someone is smoking right next to you. I'll probably come back just to enjoy the place now that I know it's there. It's great for families, but they could use more amenities for dogs.

To start off. The location is great. Easy access of the freeway. Next the pool is amazing. Was rebuilt a couple years now and has alot of space. Another is the dealers for the tables. Nice and make you feel welcomed. It's my go to for a reno time out

Enjoyed the Spa and Carol's message with stones. Most relaxed I have been in years. Peaceful atmosphere at this Casino/hotel. Lots of activities.

The hotel stay was fine except I just wanted apple pie and ice cream from the cafe. There was another guest and all she wanted was a piece of cake. It too 25-30 min just to bring out or order. Way too long just for something simple.

We ate at one of tge Gsr restaurants. Good portions, fair price, but slow service. Probably will not go back for the price and service.

Very nice. Rooms and halls cold. LONG walk from elevator to room. Staff very friendly and helpful pool beautiful. Lots to do. Bit pricey but we enjoyed ourselves.

Attended the Reno Anime Con. Nice facility friendly staff, great atmosphere.

Stayed at the Grand Sierra over the 4th of July week and had a great time! Rooms were clean and housekeeping staff was very helpful. Played all over the casino but ended up spending a lot of time near the sports book area and was very impressed with the bar staff and hostess An An most notably. Take a trip up to Reno...you won't be sorry!

Very nice hotel, very family friendly, away from the casino portion the air is very clean. Friendly staff, great activities. Go-cart, boaling, movie theater ($4 ticket!!), Kids zone, golf, miniature golf, and Lazer tag! heated pool was recently renovated, multiple hot tubs, very nice. Ice rink coming soon!!

A great casino with tons of restaurants, events and gaming areas. I definitely recommend coming here as my family has always had a wonderful experience each and every time. The front desk staff are very helpful and ensure that your stay is very relaxing and refreshing.

If you happen to be stuck in Reno it's not the worst place to be stuck. Your standard resort casino. But at least the pool area was good.

They are currently hosting a convention where a vendor at the convention had property stolen. The hotel and convention staff are withholding information from the vendors who just want this piece of property back. Not exactly good practices!

Great resort!! However it has a funny smell throughout the lobby. Smells like chemical cleaner. But overall great resort!

I have frequented this place many times and unfortunately this time it just was missing something. For the rooms, there was no refrigerator or microwave or anything and honestly for the per night price it should be. The pool closes really early and is currently being remodeled so no spa was available.

Staff is always nice and housekeeping is fast with responding to requests.

Nice hotel and casino. I recommend staying in the A section. It's much nicer than the other rooms which are a bit dated. The service was great despite the COVID challenges.

Pretty clean and good bit classier than the other options in Reno! The buffet was alright, worth the $20 though. I like that when you become a member, you get a gift of some kind every time!

Security is rude and in a hurry to get people out of the casino.

GSR is a fantastic casino to stay and play. The only reason rating of 4 is that ive been there quite a few times and it says valet and help with luggage but ive never been able to get help. Besides that, the food is great and the slots seem to pay. Ill stay again and again while in Reno.

A comfortable hotel with good sized rooms located just of the main north south highway running through Reno. I stayed there for a could of nights and found the rooms comfortable, clean and well appointed. Front desk staff were pleasant when I checked in but were hard to get attention from when I need questions answered. The hotel has a casino which is fun if your a gambler and interesting if you are not. I didn't have a chance to check out the restaurants but the menus looked tasty and reasonable. Parking was a bit of a walk from the front entrance, but it was free which is always a good thing at a hotel. They do offer valet service for those who want the upscale service.

An incredible place to visit it has it all shops restaurants pool bowling cinema and more. Beautiful abstract art is displayed throughout the casino . love it!!!!!!

We checked out the ice rink it was great, also dined at California Pizza Kitchen and was surprised that they had non pizza items like hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. If you do dine know that restrooms are in the casino portion so if you have small kids that need to go right away you have to be quick!

Big hotel! Lots of options for food. Hot August Night event was great! Good music, lots of nice cars.
