The Grand Sierra Resort is amazing. The rooms are inviting and comfortable. They cater to all ages and a diverse array of people. They offer wedding services, the fun center, and even the spa and gym if you need a massagw. The newly remodeled pool area is where its at right now for the summer. They also have concerts, comedy night, dance lessons, dance clubs and great dining at the restaurants or buffett. Just go try it out. You will love it.

Better than average accommodations. Hotel does show it's age, but the rooms are well maintained, clean, and with current upgrades. Plenty of card tables and slot machines, but the machines are not of the newest games available as compared to Vegas. Their "Restaurant Row" provides a variety of food selection, and their Grand Buffett" offers many choices at an affordable price. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. The property also offers bowling, some fast food chain eats, and a movie theater. For casinos available in the Reno area, I think GSR stands out in quality and amenities.

Myself and two other colleagues came to GSR for a state meeting. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed them. But, in the morning as we walked to the elevator to make our 8am meeting, the elevator was not seen for 10 MINUTES. There were over 5 elevators on floor 9 and there was not the sight of one for 10 minutes. Because of this we were going to be late, so in a desperate stretch to make it on time myself and two colleagues (with our luggage) ran down 9 floors of stairs. My luggage being a 50 pound duffle bag, I was sweating buckets. We finally get to the bottom and I overhear one of the employees answering a complaint by saying the elevators aren't broken thats just how they are . How is that okay? I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE ON A TIME SENSITIVE SCHEDULE for your stay in Reno.

If you plan on doing the whole casino thing - you ll love it here. If you re just looking for a hotel room, it s a pain due to the insane parking and walking through the entire casino floor + 20 floors up on elevator before finally just getting to your room.

I would put 4.5 but it wasn't that big of an issue when we went bowling lane 37 was being slow with setting the pins up but it was a minor inconvenience and we still had a great time

Dreaded resort fee. Restaurants are ok overall a good experience and would stay again I just think resort fees hidden to cover a low price are a rip-off. The prices are still lower than the chains even with the vig

Great rewards for players club members. China doll in the high roller club and Randy in the sports bar are excellent and will take care of you. Jeremy is a great country line dancing dj, creating a fantastic environment every Friday night, and Alexx is the friendliest sports book manager you could meet. The real local's casino and resort

I have been going here annually for the better part of the last five years, it's a gem of a hotel and casino. You can easily find $5 min tables on the floor, the rooms are spacious, and the suites are grandiose. I will, in all honesty, only stay in the GSR in Reno. To me, there's no other hotel in the Biggest Little City.

The ice rink is advertised, however it's not open. Breakfast is not complementary. Smoke everywhere. But if you like gambling, the feeling of being watched, and a scratchy throat from the smoke...well i guess it's good.

First time visit. I'm giving 5 stars based on the buffet and friendly service. I was there for a very short visit on work but some in my party also enjoyed some luck as well. Clean. Friendly staff. And yes, an impressive buffet.

Maybe I'm just not picky but I found they had a little of everything from salads, custom omelette station, Americana selections, Taco bar, Asian, Mediterranean, and endless desserts.

Just another Reno casino, except bigger. The food and beverage venues at the Peppermill, El Dorado and Atlantis knock their socks off. I should know -- I lived in Reno for 30 years and have tried them all multiple times.

What a great casino internet and entertainment complexit has been completely remodeled it's beautiful inside now we bowled at the 50 Lane bowling Alley and also got tickets for the show and walked around the casino look like the only thing they needed was more staff at the check-in four people checking into the hotel . Looks like you're going to have a great New years celebration here at the Grand Sierra.

We always stay here because they usually give us free rooms lately they've been charging us though whatever Resort fee is which they didn't before but I still give it a five stars because the good atmosphere the rooms are nice and I usually end up winning every time I come here also this past year I lost my phone somehow somewhere in a very nice gentleman and returned it that worked there and I got my phone back so save me some money and heartache they're so great job to the security and the attendance that are walking around

Grand Sierra Resort is a one stop resort for everything a visitor could desire. It's got shops, dining, and entertainment all in one place. They've done a ton of renovations over the last few years and have become one of the best resorts in Reno. Definitely consider them for your next stay.

Pretty good hotel. You can honestly spend your trip here. It's a family-friendly hotel so when there's events, it's filled with families.

There's a pool with a 21 and over area which was nice to escape from teens and kids. There's an inifity pool in the 21 and up side but it's facing the family pools, so ehhh.... There's also an outrageous selective rule following for the staff. On my first night, I didn't change but went down to the pool. I didn't get in so I just people watched. My sister in law said they forgot to bring extra towels for when they get out and I thought that was silly because the hotel provided towels at the pool. She mentioned they don't allow you to take them back to the room. I saw plenty of people walk out with the towels and security and staff are watching. They'll ask a few people to return them to the desk. We have a few children with us and it was a chilly day. We tried, and they stopped us. We returned them and hurry back. The next night, I watched again. It's infuriating that they let some people walk out with them and others they don't care. So when I went back, I didn't care if my swimsuit dripped all over their elevators.

There's a gaming arcade which is great for kids.

Fantastic resort. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, clean rooms with great views, easy access to nearby stores, accessible and fun gambling area and family friendly games downstairs.

I really can't recommend this place enough!

Was upgraded to a nicer room and was impressed with the room and amenities. Staff friendly. Still areas of the casino that allow smoking, but it's something I'm use too, though am sensitive to smoke. Several restaurants and also hosts a nice large bowling center. A nice place to stay when in Reno and is right next to airport for convenience.

My children and I were very impressed with this hotel. Very clean, lots of things to do for children, very clean gym, only thing is restaurants, bad service at Round Table Pizza and The Cantina, we didn t bother to try the rest. But glad we had other options outside the hotel. Definitely going back. :)

Only reason not 5 stars is because it s not part of The Row ... But it has way more amenities than any other resort in Reno.

And the movie theater is $5/ticket with couches and just like a regular cinema.

As always, wer have a great time with family and friends at the bowling alley. Although it would be great to see them finally get the new machines in there, it is way past due and the center has always been better when ALL the lanes are operating properly.

No a/c , it s broke an refuse to switch us rooms . How awesome on vacay up at 7am. Currently stuck in our 77 degree room because the A/c is broken . We called at 7am with no response , I called again at 8am where the lady was a lot more attentive and sent and engineer . The engineer at 830an discovered the A/c was fairly . He stated it would take an hour or so to fix . It s terrible on a Saturday morning of our vacay we re up at 7am miserable dealing with these isssues . When we called the front fest an asked to be moved the lady was very rude and said they re is nothing they can do for us . It be pretty ironic my wife chose the concierge level to avoid issues and kids yet here we are in our room still miserable . Looks like we re starting our Saturday morning a lot earlier than expected. Very unhappy stay and unbelievable that we re being treated with no resolution. So much for vacation.

GSR is a favorite of our family. We have had staycations here a few times. A good variety of food choices and lots of activities for everyone. The pool is nice, gets a bit crowded at times. In my opinion the best decorated hotel in town.

Large rooms, room service was excellent. The entire staff and facility extremely accommodating to my working dog. Couldn't be more pleased. It appears to have a TON of fun amenities for families but we came to relax before a shipment we needed to pick up Monday. I would definitely return!

Great Resort. Enjoyed our stay. Large rooms and almost a Roman sized bathroom. Do be aware of the Resort fee. We enjoyed good meals at the Resort as well as the dinning at other locations nearby.

Horrible service. Poor food. No communication. Seems to be using all their funds for renovating rather and making things prettier and ignoring any sense of customer service. Used to be great. Has gone severely downhill.

Love "The Bunker". This past winter was very wet, at times, snowy, at times, and generally cold. These conditions made playing golf difficult but I was able to get some quality swings in playing indoor golf at "The Bunker."

Of course it's not real golf but you can take a full swing and theoretically play some world class courses.

One side benefit is you can take a huge wild swing and not worry about losing a ball.

Putting is not terrific but all in all you can take real swings and get feedback at the same time.

The simulator gives you lots of feedback like spin rate and launch angle. So you can take another swing and see if you can maybe improve club head speed or other swing related conditions you might want to work in.

If you bring a large group you can take advantage of pizza or other eateries and have a great outing, indoors and out of the elements.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had thus far at a casino. The bar tender at the bowling alley, Gary, has the worst attitude and customer service I have ever experienced. Gary is the reason why we asked for a full refund. Unfortunately, the assigned management was absolutely no help remedying the situation regarding the refund to our bar tab. I thoroughly hope Gary doesn't train anyone, in fact, I hope the GSR proves to not only me but many other dissatisfied patrons that they won't stand for such a horrid display of basic manners.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the amenities are endless. It's okay that it's not right on the strip, (in fact, for people with teenagers, it's preferred!) It's like a small city with something to do for any age group. Best Hotel/Casino in the Reno/Tahoe area by a long shot!
