Great place to stay. We stopped on our way in and out of CA
We ate at the coffee shop. All of our food was cold, overall was super disappointed
GSR is great. sign up for their players card the benefits are awesome.
Clean rooms and casino floor, good (if not a bit pricey) cocktails. Had acceptable scotch selection.
Best place in the world to come and relax along with enjoying all of their amenities which are many to choose from. My wife & I come here all the time to play, and always walk away with a little pocket change.
Awesome. Had a couple of problems with keys. But love the venue.
I am starting to believe they manipulate the machines some how. I won big on Friday night. But during the day lost what I was playing almost right away.
Great food! Awesome service! And Fun for our hole family! We will be going back sooner than later!
This place has everything! As a non smoker I appreciate how it does not have the smoke smell that some casino/hotels do. The food is .. well, whatever you are looking for I'm pretty sure you can find it there. Great service, friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to my next stay!
Nice casino resort, bowling alley was being updated. Nice venue and casino floor
Nice place to go and gamble and eat and lots of things for kids to do.
GSR offers a lot to do on their property. You could stay there and not worry about having to leave. The updated rooms are nice and spacious. The reason for the 3 stars was due to the over crowded dirty pool. The picture shows the discolored water, which should be crystal clear and sparkling. Things you want in a pool when you want to go for a dip.
Great pool great amenities and awesome staff. Nice rooms as well.
Even tho I don't win when I gamble, I live this place. Makes me feel like I'm in Vegas.
Having been to Reno in 20 years, last time I was at this hotel it was the Reno Hilton, big improvement. They have everything you need here, you don't have to leave. Will be back.
The women are hot but the A/C in the rooms definitely doesn't blow cold.
While I sat at the same set of slot machines with my significant other we were carded 6 times in less then an hour. No communication between security. At the 6th time we gladly showed our IDs cashed out and left.
Went to lunch at the buffet with some coworkers. The service was great and the food was excellent. I really like the remodeling they did to the buffet area. I would highly recommend to my friends to check it out.
The venue was good "Modest Mouse"... Don't go to port of subs the place was a mess
Resort was fun. It can be expensive. I recommend having cash instead of card since it is an casino. Lots of things to do indoors as well as outdoors. Close to downtown Reno area. Twelve dollars for Uber and if you want to walk for about an half hour you can walk it. I was not impressed by the food at the resort though. I am picky with food though. The buffet was ok. Disappointed that they did not have crab legs in the seafood section and the shrimp you have to peel yourself. Great trip though. If you like alcohol then you are in the right place. Drinks were good to. I would go again. They do have some kid friendly things to do do. Gym on premises but sauna is part of the spa so you have to pay for spa services. Totally worth it though.
You really dont have to leave for a solid 3 days. The new virtual reality down on the pool level is out of this world.
Beautiful, well accommodated rooms. Friendly staff and overall great vibe. Good amenities as well. More than enough parking and beautiful s views of the mountains. Would return back and won't be my last time staying here.
I enjoyed my time here, the only strange thing was that the mirrors are tinted so it s difficult to see how your look. Very strange, other than that it was a really nice place.
One of the better casinos in Reno! Clean, fun and plenty of things to do for the entire family, from bars and gaming to fun quest and the pool.
The food and location is very related to "tourists" and not locals. In other words if you're a local you can find better for for much cheaper when it comes to food. As a hotel the gsr is perfectly acceptable.
Great Place! I was helped by Khalid at the check in counter who was very nice. So much to do it was great.. loved the pool. Overall a prefect trip can't wait to go back.
Great hotel rooms! They upgraded me to a suit and it was the most amazing room I've ever stayed in. Super friendly staff also!
Bowling alley was great movie theater was great the Grand buffet was wonderful rooms were over the top
GSR is a fine casino but does not stand out from the rest. I have spent money at all the casino. This casino had a ice skating rink out by the pool area, which was very nice to watch the customers skate. Lower class families could not afford it. Lotsbofbideals
Food was good, drinks good, one of the lanes kept acting out bad. Wouldn't set pins right. Kept.dropping pins, lost almost an hour of bowl time having to wait for things to be fixed. Didnt offer refund, free bowling or new lane.
Its really like a mini-vegas escape. Fun activities for family such as bowling and mini- golfing, yet a gambler's sanctuary.
Pool is not as inviting now that they remodeled. Ice cold too. They turned the little deli over to California Pizza kitchen and choices are reduced and prices way up.
Great hotel for short layovers. Loved my large, spacious remodeled room with a lake view. Looking forward to staying there again.
They have great performances there! Just saw Patti Labelle-awesome show! The acoustics are amazing. There are restaurants, Boutiques and nightclub for all age groups with other specialties. The rooms are very nice, but you must specify if you need a refrigerator or microwave. I did not have one and when I inquired, they were not available. I didnt ask any questions because ir didn't matter at this time. They have shuttles that will transport you to other places of interest.
I love the GSR great food , games , freeplay and most of all the sexy cocktail waitresses .. Its my favorite casino
Great restaurants and plenty of activities to choose from without ever having to leave the resort.
What an amazing anniversary stay we had. FUN with or without the kids. Spa was top notch.
Great. As usual. Without our "free room" offers we couldn't afford a little holiday. Add a paid room on the end and it works out great. The buffet is great. The rooms are super. Especially that they have a little safe to stash stuff. Not impressed with the fast food choices downstairs except for Round Table. Don't like the Grand Cafe. I don't mind paying extra for REALLY GOOD meals. They don't have any. Especially breakfast. Overpriced and under quality. We just wander down the street to Black Bear or IHOP if we want breakfast.
Visited the hotel for a local convention. Stayed overnight several nights. While the staff was friendly, our room was not made up until our final night, after 5pm and we had just returned to our room.
Went to buffet. Excellent quality and variety. Wide variety of desserts! Local or senior discount of 20%
One of the best in Reno... Great service sets this apart...
Hallways are confusing, there's no ceiling signs for elevators, so if you visit multiple floors you will be quite confused.
Indoor smoking right next to the elevators. Huge loss of points for me.
Tons of amenities, and food selections, some prices are a bit high, but your paying for the convenience.
My favorite casino. Staff is absolutely fantastic. Its 4 star hotel accommodations at a 2 star price. Clean. Well organized. Perfect for families or couples or singles.
This place is massive and it s getting bigger!
It has something for everyone: movie theater, arcade, pool, driving range, gambling, shops, food (fancy and fast), bowling alley, and the list goes on. They were building an axe throwing place as well as an escape room.
Only bad thing is it is the only resort of its kind, so getting a membership here would probably not be the best.
Love this place, it a home away from home.. The place is clean and very nice
Grand Ballroom was perfect for the Nursing Excellence Conference! Great space! Only thing I would change is some of the staff need to be a little friendlier. Not so grumpy looking!
The Best place to see a Big Concert in Reno! Not a bad seat in the House!
Very nice resort. Poll and spa are nice. We go annually for bowling league and it meet expectations each year. They always seems free nights and coupons during the year. We use them sometimes and comps are decent. You can get nicer in Reno for a much higher price though. This place is probably the best value. Only problem is it's not in downtown and you have to drive to go to other casinos.
GSR is my familys Reno home they have everything u could want in the hotel. Best place 2 stay in Reno!!!!!!!!!!!!! By far!!!!!!!!! Would definitely advise u to join the players club as well.
Eventless mid week 3day stay. Mostly gambled, never hit anything. I've never been that dry on the hits. Not loose slots. They need some damn oil. However, like a hella fun place during Summer I have a feelin, and almost certainly during hot August nights. Bring a friend or lover
It's so beautiful well kept nice and clean all workers were profession (except the lady at the coffee stand she was even more rude the first time I met here) but all in all the place is really nice were hoping to stay in a room in October I can actually update more better photos and what not after that visit !
Came here for nostalgic reasons. My uncle took me here once here to the MGM. II had not seen snow and Reno in a long time. I traveled three hours from Marin County CA. Nice ride in. Check in was confusing and front desk was not clear. Her name was Alamo I got wrong information and nothing about valet parking So my room had issues she wasn t to be found so I stayed in a noisy area, volleyball girls around 20 girls. , However the next day Samir a at the front desk was absolutely professional and helpful. I finally got the refrigerator replaced. She happily tried to helpme to an upgrade of a room I really wanted but I liked the new matttess previous room was far better so in my attempt to get rest I did move around. Highly recommend the Rooms with view of pool. Again publicly thank Samira for changing my experience here. I think the other employees should follow her example!
Great hotel location and casino...was comp'd a meal due to the wok being unavailable...Starbucks available on the casino floor
Never have to leave this place...Best sleep it's amazing will be back
Really a great place to stay in there rooms. Have great comps for there players. & i love to see concerts there. My favorite place in Reno to see concerts. Have not been to a bad one yet there
I took a couple of small kids bowling...worked out great. Competent staff. The lanes were recently refinished, so they're in great shape. Five dollars a game is a little steep, but still well worth it.
Nice hotel desk staff. Handled an unusually busy check-in well enough. Stayed in the concierge. Room was kinda outdated to be honest. Ventilation system gave both of us a sore throat and headache. Grabbed a sandwich the first night that had me in the toilet most of the next day. Not so great for an adult escape with my Lady. I will try again at a later date and hope for a better experience
Large casino/hotel. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern looking and fairly spacious. Nice to have a mini counter with coffee machine, a good sized fridge (size between a mini and a full size). The king bed was comfortable with square pillows that were alright. I prefer longer pillows, however these were ok. The rooms were clean. The biggest complaint is you can smoke in the casino, I'm not sure about the rooms. But, you could smell a faint cigarette smell in the rooms which wasn't that great. It's obvious and common sense, but if you're remotely sensitive to smoke, don't stay here. Other than the smoke, it's a nice hotel.
Ever since they opened the many Indian casinos everywhere Nevada has been dying. This property is no exception. A suite on the 27th floor has a feel of being a large nothing special room. It looks like there used to be a hot tub but is now just a large empty space. At least replace it with a dancing pole... Do something! If this is a top floor room what are the lower floors like?
Was here for a convention just a couple days ago. BEAUTIFUL hotel. Amazing pool and room views. Very helpful staff and if anything goes wrong they are very willing to make up for it. They manage very well under the stress of the event.
Lots of fun things to do around that don't require gambling! Loved the golf range on the water and the arcade. Very nice selection of resturants and even a grocery store across the street. Not too busy or crowded. Overall, a nice experience. Room was very spacious and cleaned well daily.
The rooms are large and the decor has a bit of a funky vibe. Bedding needs refreshed and bathroom needs updated. Love the all in one deal. Movie theater, bowling alley, various dining options. Plenty to do indoors besides gambling!! Overall really like this hotel.
Helpful staff. Everybody's efficient and understand their duties. *photo view from the 18th floor
Black card level and my favorite place to gamble and club. It's the Vegas style casino in reno!
This gorgeous resort hits all the marks! From well appointed, highly comfortable, and spacious rooms. There is lots to do here even for the non gambler. Oh and don't get me started on the ridiculous infinity pool, and super sexy fire pits with hot tubs close by! Can't wait to come back to this property and spend several days to soak in all this place has to offer! Last, but not least the stunning Crystals bar rivals any Vegas bar for beauty! I could go on and on but you get the idea! Just do it!
Pros: Good room, good bed, gaming floor is quiet enough to converse comfortably in that area (slots aren't beeping constantly). The shower has decent water pressure. The buffet is pretty good.
Cons: bell desk is very disorganized and slow. My friends had trouble with it too. Parking is a long way from the elevators making it a hassle even if you are happy to carry your own bags. Air conditioning is not powerful enough. Very limited late night dining.
Meh: slight tobacco smell everywhere, enough to make my throat burn, even on smoke free floors. I know it's a casino but some have better ventilation. Multiple renovations have left the space somewhat oddly laid out. It takes a bit to learn your way around.
New and attractive casino in reno. Has alot of slots and table games. There ia so much to do in one place. Always something happening too. Nightclub, food, bowling.
Breakfast buffet is great. Games are tight, they all are
Nice staff.
We went bowling here and it was so fun! The arcade is great too! It's a nice place to play in the casino or have a family night!
Awesome resort and staff! Extremely clean, easy to navigate, great amenities.Great facility and the choices of food were great.
Fantastic spa, great food and good mix of activities for all parts of the day. Pool, movies, club, food, bars, tables and private gambling rooms. There is bowling and arcade for the family putt putt golf and a driving range. There is literally something for everyone!
Cool little concert venue. We saw Third Eye Blind. It was great!
THE ABSOLUTE BEST HOTEL YOU WILL EVER STAY AT - EVER. The showers are amazing; best shower I've ever had in my life. The rooms are well furnished and comfy, especially the beds. The view and sites are amazing. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very courteous, and the overall resort in general is just great. There are plenty of places in the resort itself to go to, for food, entertainment, or just to relax. Security is top notch and friendly as well. And of course, their prices, are the best I've gotten anywhere. If you're in Reno and need a place to stay for a night or two, this place is PERFECT.
I love it. I've actually won some money here plus its trendy, hot, & hip! I loved it more when I was brought here by my parents long ago. Then it was the MGM. The lion ruled my lil world.
Good staff and win/loss ratio had a car show during hot august nights
Very nice casino, very large, lots of night life to do. Lots of bars. Probably Reno's nicest hotel casino.
A nice resort with everything within the building. Movie theater, golf range, pool and casino. I will come back someday
I go here for the shows at the theater. It's a killer venue for concerts. Saw The Cult last night, which was my 4th show up here. I typically get a room since their rooms are really nice and clean with very comfortable beds. Last night was a bit overpriced, so I grabbed a last minute room at the Peppermill. Even with the Lyft drives from and to my car in the parking lot at GSR, it was still $50 cheaper than the equivalent room at GSR, which was $175; pretty pricey for Reno. I still recommend it for concerts and an overnight stay if you're ok with the extra cost. Oh yeah, the Charlie Palmer Steakhouse at GSR has never been a disappointment, either. I never can get a sharp steak knife there, but the food is great.
My stay was for business. To keep it simple food just ok. Drinks in main lobby as you play the slots or tables are watered down taste poor in general and that s if you actually get one. Black Jack tables are to pricey for me 25 dollar buy in and I m not rich so not really a lot of playing time. Only had one employee that was even a bit helpful. All in all won t be back but I tried it out.
Was there for " Hot August Nights". Had a blast! Even won on the tables. Classy place, clean, fun, warm welcoming staff, and plenty to eat and drink.
Some construction going on at the main entrance... Beverage service was kinda slow.. waited for 45 min after placing my order...tsk tsk..
Great staycation we used our camper to stay in the RV park at GSR. It was a great way to use the amazing pool and amenities.
lots to do, affordable & varied food, friendly staff!
