Beautiful rooms. Attentive staff. Would love to come back, or just stay forever.

Love it here. Always good service. Friendly staff, and good rewards program. Nice looking rooms. Excellent restaurants with fair pricess, and lots to do. My kids love the gaming area as well. Very family friendly.

The bathrooms are way small there is not enough stalls in the restrooms half the sinks didn't work the paper towels were constantly empty. When i returned to my room everything had been moved i made a point to have everything in my bag on the ottoman at the end of the bed and yet there was an imprint of my bag on the bed the ottoman was 2 feet away from my bed and my makeup and personal items were strewn all over my bag. Not only did they touch my things when i went to get into bed the bed was not made all the way the bottom sheet was bunched at the end of the bed in all bad experience i hope our conference next year is back at the peppermill the peppermill mill was amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Been here since I visited the Grand Sierra. I think the last time is when it was still called Bally's. I like the new decor doesn't have a sense of claustrophobia anymore. Came for dinner and came to check out the scene. Definitely a place that I would like to visit again.

There GSR is a giant casino hotel convention center. It has a few oddities, like an elevator bank where you can get on but not off unless someone there ordered the elevator, there's no button on the inside to stop there. On floor 17 two of the bands stop. Restaurant food is passable.

I went to fun quest and its really a fun place for the kids.

didn't stay here but plan to next time we're in town because it looks amazing and it has everything.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days for a birthday getaway (solo) room was amazing only a few things that didn't sit well with me. Housekeeping bust in the door three times after I informed the first worker I dnt need service it startled me because I was there alone not a good feeling, then i went to the Grand Buffet was seated went to get my food came back my table had been combined with other tables and a big party was sitting there I had no clue on what was going on after asking he said on i moved u on the other side totally not cool

Thanks so much for letting us stay here!!! We love this place and I hope that enough of us furries are being respectful to drown out those who may not be as mature, but know that this hotel and it's staff are very much appreciated!!!

If smoke does not bother you then read other reviews. While most of the place is smoke free, you have to endure it to check-in, most food, and the theatre. It is very strong and very unpleasant.

Best casino in Reno, full stop. Excellent buffet, good selection of shows, comfortable rooms and delightful staff who always go the extra mile to earn their tips.

What a great Hotel to stay at, nice pool all remodeled. Movie Theatre, Concert Hall, Bowling Alley.. Good restaurants! Only problem they don't stay open late except for The Cafe.

One time the GSR had accidentally given away our room. Naturally, they upgraded us to the "Diplomat Suite." Never had I experienced such opulence. Five stars!

Came here for bowling and had a great time. The staff was friendly and got us set up quickly. The bowling alley located on the second floor was a shock. It's huge. The music can be a little loud if you just want to concentrate on bowling but there are a lot of teens here so it's fine. We luckily came on 5 dollar game day. The facility was well maintained.

Very nice hotel and event venues, was here for 2 business trips and never left the resort the entire 5 days I was here, from the airport shuttle to on site restaurants and entertainment I had all I needed here.

I would like to address a complaint about an employee that works in the gift shop. I had purchased a few items over this past weekend and there was a sweater that did not fit. I brought in my receipt and the tags were still on there. The employee that was assisting me was very rude, took the garment by her finger tips and acting like it was dirty. I felt so uncomfortable and uneasy, when I was returning the item. I will think twice about purchasing anything there again.

IMO has gone downhill over the last 10 years. Used to do really good on the slots. Always been one of my favorite places to gamble in Reno.

The gsr is great. Theres great cheap bowling and movies. Theres also a round table pizza, good stuff.

Very great place to stay, all in all amazing service and top of the line quality! Certain things I'd prefer would be a cheaper tables games, but what can you expect ha. And maybe a little bit of a softer bed but other then that, the stay was amazing! Great showers, rooms, casino floor and the pool was cold but really good in this 100 degree weather !!! Would stay again!

The Cascade bartender was great and the water feature is mesmerizing. Great seating for smaller groups. Charlie Palmer Steakhouse was delicious!

The last two times I have been here I have had bad experiences. Management on the floor is horrible and don't even know how to do their job so can't help the new employees that are trying to learn their job. I felt bad for the Keno employee who was getting no help from his manager on the night of 6/5/19

Too much smoke. I understand this is Nevada, but I feel so bad for the kids walking around without any mask on. The staff was extremely nice, besides the overseer yelling at the room cleaning lady like a Chinese drill sergeant about which rooms were clean. Great food at the buffet. No microwave in room. And some of the hotel guessed seemed racist.

Great place for you and your family! Tons of stuff to do within the massive hotel/resort. There's even a 50 lane bowling alley! Can't recommend this place enough.
All kinds of restaurants and bars at a lot of different price points. There's even a Johnny Rockets down stairs as well as a Round Table pizza.
There's a giant pool as well as a driving range that you hit the balls into a man-made lake; super cool. In the lake are little islands with targets. One island has a car on it!!
Plus, they have a movie theater where all movies are $4.00!
Cool place.

We had a double queen room, where you would normally pay 300$. The Resort was very busy on Sunday. The pool area features a adult area, which was quiet. The room was large, the bathroom too. The A/C ran silently.

I recently had a stay here at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino during my visit to Reno last month for Valentines day weekend. It was my first time staying here, and I was excited because I always seen this resort off the freeway, and always wanted to stay here, but ended up at one of the hotels on the Virginia St. strip. My recent stay was very pleasant, the hotel was very clean, our room was very big, and roomy, and the beds were comfortable, plus it was a standard room, not a suite or anything. I liked how the resort was huge, and offered everything in close proximity. I enjoyed having a big casino floor, and a market store inside for dinner, snacks, and desserts. The staff were very helpful and took care of me, when I had a issue with my booking, they made it a hassle free stay. The Grand Sierra Resort, will be my choice again, on my next trip to Reno. I want to say Thank you to the entire staff at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, you guys truly made my stay wonderful.

The room was good and clean but the shower had some hair stuck in the wall as you can see in the picture.

They charged us a lot this time! In my last review I said that I will go again here but now I say, I will not go again here.

There are more way cheaper and better options than here.

Weird funk. And smoking everywhere

Had dinner with family at their Buffet and it wasn't bad. Not the best quality but still good quality food lots of different choices to fit all styles of eating and flavors prime rib was the best

Excellent service, great hotel and love the casino and we will be back soon for are summer vacation

I like it here however, things could be better . Our room was not clean good . Dirty doors and walls . After I left Walmart and wipes it down I felt a lil better . Staff very polite, no microwave.also in Tower A elevators have no sensor I got hit by door 1hr after my arrival. Trip didn't go good due to me being injured

To expensive, right on airport flight path. Showers leave a lot to be desired.

Love this Resort!! So many great things to do. Can't wait to go back.

Haven't been here since I was a little kid and it was Bally's. New owners making a lot of changes, all for the better. My kids loved playing laser tag and bowling.

Great Resort, I'm a local and these folks treat you great, friendly atmosphere and you can see or beautiful snow capped mountains from your room. Highly recommend 2

This is a nice place. Had a large microwave and refrigerator in the good. Nice bathroom and great views from the room. Ask for a high floor away from the elevators.

The best place to stay & play with the family in Reno. It s centrally located. The atmosphere is friendly, helpful, & professional. We have adult time that casino provides and we love the wine bar with the pouring system. We also love the downstairs options for the kids-arcades, jumpy areas, movies, bowling. Plus the outdoors provides so much fun too-golf, ice skating, pool, race car track. The kids have a blast! So it s a win for us all! Plus the casino brings in great shows and their restaurants are very good too!

Second time staying here it's a great place for the cost of the rooms. I just hope they put some money into the arcade and bowling ally. It needs a little TLC and upgrading done.

Nice an clean. Social distancing is very apparent even in the clean restrooms. Friendly staff and plenty of cocktail waitresses to serve you.

We stayed at the RV Park. Nice, quite, really nice bathrooms!!

First time i go there for their buffet. Food was good customer service was good

The restrooms are clean, but that's about it. If you're disabled and need handicap parking stay away. They devoted most of the handicap spaces that were in back to be used by patrons of that assinine driving range.

GSR has really done a great job revamping their place! The pool is way more open and I like that they have a spot for 21+ in case you are tired of getting splashed! We actually got to see a movie and go to an arcade which hasn't happened in months due to COVID! Fat Tuesdays downstairs was def one of my favorite spots to hit up on our 2 day stay!

Convenient shuttle from airport and pleasant front desk staff. Watch out for the optional housekeeping appreciation fee. Only $1 per day but when I got to my room, it wasn't clean. Partially drunk bottle of water, bottle cap on the floor, sticky bathroom door... Took over an hour for someone from housekeeping to come. 11:20 pm by then. Not cool when I have to be up early and on my game. Room very nice if only it was clean

Okay so they closed down the i-80 due to weather and we had to find a place to stay. Everything was great until the kids knocked a decorative pillows off the bed exposing a prominent blood stain on one of our pillows. It was in plain sight I don't know how the housekeeping staff could have missed it. I could go on but ..... Supergross. Irritating etc.

Always clean and welcoming for all visitors. Great place for family fun.

Well i went there too relax on vacation was on the 26th floor and me and a family member enterd our room and i went too turn on bathroom light and got shocked literally. It was horrible the 2 electrocution they sent up too our room stayed till past 2 am fixing the problem after that i was in pain the whole trip. And my whole left side hurt exspecially behind my ear. All and all not a good exsperience.

Went to just check out a convention and it was a hoot! Had a blast just walking around.

The GSR has gotten a lot nicer in recent years. Nice improvements, great restaurants.

The hotel personnel and accommodations where okay. Nothing over the top amazing it was all just good. The restaurants are all over priced for the food you get, and to get any comps from this location is like pulling teeth. We pre booked and payed for 14 nights and the casino offered nothing. Even asking for a comp buffet was out of the question. Casinos tend to offer a little something, you re there to gamble and have a good time. THIS RESORT DEFINITELY ISNT PLAYER FRIENDLY!!!!!!

Excellent venue! Even though the drinks are expensive, it was to be expected. Loved the Bush concert!!!

Many amenities and activities on site. Several good restaurants. The rooms are a bit dated, but mostly comfortable. One hour from Lake Tahoe. Ten minutes from the airport. Stayed here for a business convention for 5 days. Gave only a three due to the smoke from the casino area. This was annoying. It seeped into every area. My eyes and sinuses were affected. It's 2018. Surely, there is a way for better ventilation.

Spent time in the arcade - many of the old school games are in surprisingly good shape for their age, and reasonably priced.

Clean affordable. Great place to bring a family. Lots to do away from the casino. Fun place i go there yearly

By far the cleanest hotel I ve ever stayed in!! The room was beautiful and staff was very pleasant. I can t wait to come back!

Nice place with lots to do for the kids. The pool is a little overcrowded and murky, but overall a nice vibe. The food at the cafe was subpar, but there were other good choices.

Amazing service, family friendly, clean and bedrooms are the best. The pricing is affordable and this resort should be your number one place to stay. Going back very soon

Great atmosphere - large casino, sports book, spa, bowling, swimming pool, movie theater.

Excellent registration service, friendly and knowledgeable. The suites are impeccably clean, the housekeeping staff respects your privacy, cocktail servers are very friendly whether you tip or not expect to get professional service. Thank you Grand Sierra Resort for your promotions.

This is one of my favorite places to gamble. I have to say it is a bit of a step above some of the other places in town. The only problem I have with them is that they're such a big company that you can get lost in the shuffle. I love the fact that they give me a free buffet each week. They are generous with their free play as well.

Dillon at valet was great. He was quick and attentive

It was ok very Smokey. Had a security lady following my wife and I for no reason. We were just checking out the place because one of our friend had told us it was great place.

I like the Grand Sierra it is one of nicest casinos in the Sparks area.

Remodeling, valet was extremely fast and friendly, bell hop was also quick! New rooms, so far so good.

Good place to hit some golf balls and have a drink or two !

The gsr is a decent place. Dancing at mustangs is fun however it could be better. It is converted from the sports bar in the evenings for dancing

They were very chinsey with their machines. I didn't see anyone win.

Great stay. Housekeeping is great, refresh the towels and supplies daily. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very spacious and awesome.

We went for the escape room and lunch. Escape room is top-notch. So challenging and fun! Highly recommended. Excellent, friendly staff. Johnny Rockets for lunch was tasty with goo, fast service. Go!

The first time in Reno and this was our first stop. Free parking, neat entrance, and casino floor layout. The room was very cozy and spacious. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine when checking in. I really love their customer service. Looking forward to coming back.

The rooms are excellent here even when there's no view. The casino is why I give this place 3 stars. Definitely not a kid friendly place with all the smoking. Also I feel like there are like $100 hidden costs that I wasn't clear about till checked out. Lots of food choices, movie theatre, virtual reality, arcade etc...

It's a great place to stay at in Reno. There is much to do as there is a lot of effort in ensuring that there is always something. My personal favorite is the go-carts and the movie theater. The tickets are only $4 at the theater, however they are usually movies that have been out for a month elsewhere. Overall happy with the stay and will probably go back on the next trip to Reno.

Clean, Swanky Casino. Night club, Gambling, Bars, Dining and nice hotel rooms. Fun for kids as well. Theater, bowling, lazer tag and arcade!

I am a local and the GSR is a favorite eating place, great buffet and other restaurants.

This place was nice but it was hard to navigate. Only one main entrance... Once inside you needed to go back all the way to find the exit.

I had a great time there I recently took in a show Rob Zombie + Marilyn Manson and had great seats and a hot dog at the sports bar, a very good time and place was nice

The rooms were amazing customer service was out of this world the staff was great and even won some good money

If you can stand the chaotic design or lack of you have the Line dancing to. Ahem keep you interested.. love cowgirls!!

Nice and clean, lots of parking. Good variety of slots.

Actually a fairly nice hotel that's pretty well kept. The machines are all modern and the hotel doesnt have them set to rob you immediately. At least not while I was there. Rooms were clean with plenty of towels and a real refrigerator that had space for our stuff. Not just stuff they wanted to sell. Spent a small fortune at California pizza kitchen which was decent but a bit pricey for what it was. Overall not a bad hotel/resort at all.
