They quoted a price for an engine and transmission swap, so I made an appointment. When I dropped the car off, they said the cost would be over twice the original estimate, but I said go ahead and do it. The next day they called me and told me they weren't able to do the job so I needed to pick up my car. Zero customer service!

My 2020 GMC Sierra is having issues. TJ, Keith and the crew there at Reno GMC have been trying to get it resolved for several weeks. They have all been really fantastic with communication, updates, and making sure I have transportation while they work on my truck. They are a solid team and I appreciate all their efforts.

Amazing job of taking care of our wants and needs. Made the process easy without a ton of time. I have already recommended other friends and family to the dealership. Great job everyone I dealt with. We went back 4 days later and bought my wife and Acadia Denali

Andre was a great person to work with, he was patience and listen to what my most wants where. Billy went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and help me with issues that where not part of his job. Even though it did took me 5 different trips to make my decision they did not rush me and answer all the questions I had. Once it came to sign the paper Tucker was patient with all question me and my family had. It was not easy for any of them to have to not only work with my my 3 other family members that help me made decision. Thank you again for making me feel part of the GMC Family.

Purchased from here last year, was informed that car washes came with purchase (new ct6) ..... had been coming every so often the past year, no problem, was told today that this wasn't the case. Please be warned if you are promised something like this with purchase and get it in writing. Other than this, they are pretty decent and kind people.

Great reception. I was met as soon as i got out my car by the agent with smile and asked if he could help me with anything . That's good customer service. My car was done within the time i was quoted and it was washed and wiped clean. Now that's great customer service. I will always bring my car here and tell others about the superior service.

Got in vehicle after service complete, touch screen was dead, had cabin air filter changed and tech apparently didn't realize something was unplugged during task. Truck was taken back in to correct. Later in the day as temperatures rose I turned on the AC and it made a loud noise, I called and was told to bring back in at 10 am the next day. 3.5 hours after taking truck in I received a call that truck was ready and they found a leaf in the vents, again related to the cabin air filter replacement. I had taken that week off and planned my week, Reno GMC messed that up and I was not happy. I've been happy with the service until this last visit. May not return in the future.

Please avoid taking your car to the dealership for repairs at all costs. I took my car to the dealership and everything that they told me was wrong with the car was untrue. They claimed to repair my car but they were extremely negligent and actually damaged other areas of the car while never repairing what actually needed to be repaired. I really don t think anyone at the service center knows what they are doing. They created a very large bill for me and damaged my car. Please do not take your car here for repairs.

Went into GMC for an oil change, however, the service department was running behind schedule by about 30-45 minutes. At the end of service, was given a list of items that needed attention:belts/air filter/rear brakes(red line). Upon returning home, I tore down my rear brakes, the pads only had about 1/2 thickness of wear from new, my serpentine belt has no cracks or signs of wear, and the air filter could have lasted another 6 months or more. Other than that, the service was ok.

Harold and Andrew were great. Very knowledgeable, personable, no BS, and easy to work with. Harold knows his product, and is 'no pressure' type of salesman. Andrew went out of his way to get us a great rate. Overall, great experience. I will be back!

An efficient visit to get my Terrain's oil changed. Super friendly service. And I always simply wait in the waiting room because it's a great space to work on the WiFi, watch TV, etc. No need to go anywhere else. Almost like working on the WiFi in a coffee shop. The car was washed very quickly as well.

Had appointment for oil change/lube/tire rotate on 1/5/18. Came in just before 3:00 for my 3:00 appt and didn't get my truck back until 5:00. The oil life was not reset (hope I got the oil change), and tire pressures were not at recommended values (hope they were rotated). Can't tell if the lube was done, but the zerk fittings don't look as if they've been used so I doubt the lube was done. At 4:05 I did ask my service writer when the truck would be ready and she said it would be out in 15 minutes (that would have been 4:20 vs 5:00).

Edit 12/31/14

Edit 12/31/14
Reno GMC has taken my car back in to try and fix the problems that I described below. They have given me a loaner vehicle to use while my car is being looked at again. I received a very real apology from the service writer Rick, for writing down the wrong trouble on the service order. In short they are trying very hard to make it right. I will add to this update after the matter is fully resolved.

First of all, let me state that I am a very fair fellow. I'm also not given to writing reviews. With that said however I feel the need to describe my experience with Reno Buick GMC. I'll do my best to keep this to the Reader's Digest version.
I posted a dislike for this company service and here's why. Nearly 2 weeks ago I brought my vehicle in because there was a strong smell of gas and it would not accelerate properly. I limped my Pontiac Firebird to Reno Buick GMC. I was greeted by Rick who was to become my service writer. I told him exactly what had happened, i.e. about the smell of gas about the non-acceleration, I even mentioned to him that I had just bought this car and that it had a problem with the Pontiac installed alarm system always going off. I also explained to him that I stopped at O'Reilly's auto parts and asked the clerk there if he would check the computer codes to give me some idea what we were dealing with, the Firebird through 13 problem codes. I brought all this information directly to Rick's attention. So for some unknown reason Rick writes on the service request that the customer states the check engine light was on, I don't know where he got that as this was not the case, the check engine light had never come on. Regardless, they take the car in and I hear nothing from them for nearly 3 days, this was after I made several telephone calls to them. Finally I get a call from Rick on the third day and I'm told that one of the O2 sensors is out and that the reason the alarm keeps going off, is because there's a problem in the steering column that needs to be repaired. I get quoted a $700 bill and reluctantly agree. A couple days later I'm wondering where the car is. I get another call from Rick, once again after I had placed two calls to them, that the steering column now needs a part and cannot be rebuilt and the price tag just went up to $807.
Not having much choice I agree again, asking Rick will this fix the alarm problem? And I'm told that it will. A couple more days pass and I hear nothing from them, mind you, I'm getting back and forth to work on my motorcycle, in the blistering cold, which is the only other transportation I have at this time. I finally stop in on December 24 and am told that the car will be ready by 11 AM that day, it would've been nice to have known this on the 23rd. So we go back, my wife and I and pick it up at 11 o'clock. The bill has gone to $880 now which I'm a little shocked by and to top it all off, we walk over to the car opened the door and the alarm goes off. Rick looks at me with something of a dumbfounded look and I go, so much for fixing the alarm.

So I have $880 into this car along with the $3200 that I just paid for it, still a broken alarm, apparently they did fix the gas problem, as it has not come back yet. The steering is a little tighter but it still wanders. The truth of the matter is is that Reno Buick GMC was very lax on communication with me, kept driving the price up, and in my opinion because my car was not brand-new, and I cannot substantiate this, just call it a feeling, put me to the back of the line for the newer vehicles that were in there. I believe going forward that I will probably not choose Reno Buick GMC again due to the reasons I've already stated here. This was my experience, hopefully yours will be better however I believe I've accurately stated what happened and my reasons for why I dislike this company so much.

Thoroughly enjoyable sales experience. Dennis Ratto provided valuable info without the "grating saleman's pitch". Transaction essentially completed in two hours. Paperwork went smoothly and I was able to register the new vehicle without a trip to DMV. Very professional organization throughout, the likes of which I haven't seen in over 50 years of buying cars.

After describing to Harold what I expected my car to be, he found exactly what I needed. He didn't try to sell me what he wanted but offered what I needed. Not feeling pushed to buy something just because the salesman is trying to make you buy it gives the buyer the opportunity to find what he/she needs in a more comfortable environment. Harold was so accommodating, courteous, and mindful of what I wanted to buy. This is the first time I buy a car at Buick GMC Cadillac, and will surely come back when we need to buy another one. Thank you to all the staff who helped me in the process.

Originally there were a few bugs in the process but, after everything was worked out, the experience was very pleasurable and satisfying. Not every business transaction is as smooth as we would like it to be. It is how we all come to a solution and work together to make the experience an enjoyable one! I got a good deal and made a few good friends in the process. Thank you Reno GMC. I love my new truck!

I was interested in two vehicles posted for sale on the website and made arrangements to look at them. When I arrived at the dealership neither of the cars had been detailed or checked mechanically. One of the vehicles was what I was looking for. A deal was made and a deposit was paid contingent on the car being mechanically sound. 5 days later I was told that the engine was bad and the sale could not be made. I m not sure why vehicles would be posted for sale prior to being inspected or detailed. This was a very frustrating experience and a big waste of my time.

Large price increase on oil change plus the inability to run a diagnostic check (which I was going to be WAY overcharged for) on my truck after it had been there for almost 7 hours is crazy. I will be going elsewhere for all service from now on unless fully covered by warranty.

It s very unfortunate that service has consistently been hit or miss since I purchased my vehicle almost 2 years ago. Last Friday I had an appointment at 7 AM for a tire check to patch a hole from where a screw was stuck. I purposefully made the first appointment of the day for a shorter wait. I arrived a couple minutes before 7, and was notified by a man, didn t catch his name, that the technicians still had not arrived but they should be there shortly but that because I was first I would be in and out and it would be a quick job, so i decided to wait. At about an hour and 20 minutes of waiting, another person, Tyler, came to apologize for the delay to tell me that I was almost done. I had initially agreed for the complementary wash, but at this point I asked Tyler how much longer it would add if I did proceed with the wash and he told me about 20 minutes so I decided to decline the wash. He told me not to worry and that he would give me a card so that I could stop by any day for a free wash. I did not leave there until 40 minutes after that conversation. I did not leave the dealership until 9:05 am for a tire patch that I was told would be quick. Tyler again was very apologetic, nice, and gave my $5 off. Poor guy looked so stressed and busy, he forgot to give me the car wash card but truly I wouldn t of used it because I wouldn t want to wait an hour for a wash. What is so frustrating is that we make appointments and we are still stuck there for hours, I am not sure if the service team is overbooking or what is going on. Aside from the technicians not being there on time, I did not expect to be sitting in the lobby for over two hours. Had I known that I was going to, I would ve taken advantage of the shuttle to drop me off and pick me up or I would ve initially made an appointment with Les Schwab and paid 20 bucks as well, and waited less time. I highly recommend that you guys re-open on weekends and/or stop over booking customers. I truly never look forward to any service there because of this. After my last free oil change, I will probably going elsewhere for them and only get service at the dealership that I absolutely have to.

DO NOT GO OR BUY ANYTHING FROM RENO GMC! I have a 2017 Sierra GMC. I have been in 2 accidents because of brakes that don t work properly, Dale in service department called me a liar. I come to find out my gmc has a recall for faulty brakes. I tried to schedule appointment to get this taken care of and they refused to see me and said I m never allowed back at the Reno Gmc and to go somewhere else. It s extremely dangerous and again have been in 2 accidents because of brakes not working!!!

I enjoyed my experience getting my Buick serviced ...

I enjoyed my experience getting my Buick serviced here asked for simple oil change but they went through and inspected my entire car and give me a diagnostic feedback. Also they offered me a free shuttle to and from my job while my car was being serviced. Very helpful especially since my wife was sick in bed that day. They even washed my car! Very helpful and very friendly staff. I give them a well-earned five star rating. I don't usually give a five star rating to anyone. if someone as stingy as me can give these folks a five star rating that I'm pretty sure that they can meet all your servicing needs.

When a 23 year-old Eldorado Touring Coupe with 45K...

When a 23 year-old Eldorado Touring Coupe with 45K miles falls into your lap there really is only one option...take it to Reno Cadillac and let them give it a once over. Since it was a California car, and there was a snowstorm coming that night, I popped into the Service Department unannounced somewhat north of noon to get the anti-freeze inspected. Kiara Dubay could not have been more accomodating, and squeezed me into the busy queue. As it turned out the price on the wall and the cost in her computer did not match, but she pursued the issue and made sure I got the lower price. The coolant flush also includes a multi-point inspection, and I must say they are thorough. The work was performed professionally, tidy, and timely. I returned a couple of days later to have the synthetic oil change and lube. Again, I just arrived without notice and Mrs. Dubay took charge and made it happen. I was working, so she arranged for courtesy rides both ways for me. No, dealerships are not the least expensive, but good work is not cheap, and cheap work is not usually good. I have owned many Cadillacs over the years but have had a series of BMW's over the last decade.....Reno Cadillac is more reasonable than the other dealer, and they don't put off the vibe that they are doing you a favor. For vehicle specific work I will again take my sweet Eldo to these folks.

Salesman Herick Garcia was awesome. I d bought a pre-owned 2011 GMC Yukon Denali a few years ago, with him as my Salesman; his friendly, personable, and professional service brought me back to buy a new 2017 Sierra Crew Cab Z71 SLT. What a pleasure it is to do business with him! In addition, Jim Lauer s personal attention to the service of the Yukon (as well as my former Sierra) in previous months definitely led me to return to this dealership in general. Awesome job!

On a very hot day late in the afternoon, I did not expect the service I received. I first met Douglas in the service area and he was very busy but took the time to hear my issue. He told me that it might not get looked at today but we will try. As he was working on the service worksheet he noticed a recall for that particular issues I was having with my GMC Yukon XL. After he looked around he told me that he did not have a loaner plate. I said Ill go up to sales and hopefully they could accommodate. As I got to the sales area I met Andre who also was working another issue but took the time to help me secure a loaner vehicle for the next two days. He was very accommodating meeting my needs and very professional. As I went back to let Douglas know he said my vehicle was getting inspected. He offered since I was in to complete an oil change. That helped me tremendously as busy as life gets. After I drove away Douglas called a few hours later updating me on the progress and timeline for my vehicle. I finally picked up my vehicle the very next day approximately 24 hours later all working and I was very appreciated. This day was far beyond what I expected and want to let you know how extremely happy and Thankful I am that the great people at Reno GMC are out to ensure the customer is satisfied.

I bought a used 2013 Denali a little over a year ago and I have had multiple issues with it since I bought it. None of which are covered by their lame warranty. They insisted on placing new tires on it when I bought it. Great. Except they put on the cheapest tires from an unknown brand per Costco, that only lasted me 14k miles. Shortly after I had to replace all brakes and rotors and replace the alternator. I have put on 19 k miles in the year I ve owed it and have had to put 2200 into repairs. I absolutely feel like I was sold a lemon. I m a previous Toyota owner and I can say that I will be selling this POS and buying a car for a reliable manufacturer, aka Toyota.

You want this best sales service in the car business, go see Harold Solano, really.

I am not the easiest guy to sell a car to, yet Harold Solano did everything a human could do to help me find the exact car I wanted. We wound up getting a car from Illinois!

I leased a 2014 Cadillac CTS from him and the service he gave to me was seriously impressive. He wasn't just there to sell a car, he went way beyond any possible expectation and I am sooooo grateful for having worked with Harold. The dealership even gave me a fantastic loaner car until mine arrives.

The IT guy and sales manager were equally impressive. They simply earned my business. Well done, GM team!
