More modern style church and everyone loves it, they have main service, as well as middle school, high school, and other services for people younger than that. And they're still expanding, if you're new in the area and looking for a church, I think you should try out grace. Not to mention they raise all sorts of money to help people with addiction, or even without a place to live.

I feel so welcome, the space is warm with love and kind people always. Always room for your kids never turned away. Plenty of space to enjoy the songs and teachings in any room you need to. They have excellent community groups and do amazing things for the community. This church is really supernaturally loving

Phenomenal church! I attended with my brother and his family who are members, my daughters and I were visiting him over the holidays from Las Vegas, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This church is huge, we parked down the street and a very nice shuttle picked us up immediately with donuts and a cooler full of assorted bottled drinks and dropped us off by the front doors of the main entrance. There is also a coffee shop right inside too, nice way to start your morning!
We dropped the kids off at Sunday School and then went in to enjoy the worship service which was excellent! The band and singers all seem professional, their talent is amazing, and you feel as if you're at a concert! I enjoyed the pastor, he is a very gifted speaker.
The church is a very large facility and is extremely nice yet somehow has a homey, cozy feeling at the same time which I find comforting. Everyone is very friendly without being in your face which makes it a very easy-going environment and you feel comfortable being around strangers knowing you could approach them without worrying you'd get stuck in an intense conversation.
The pastor was dressed very laid-back in jeans, everyone was dressed in a mix of anything from casual to dressy, so it's laid-back which I love, even though personally I dress up, I prefer that people dress however they want. It's so important for a church to make every single person feel welcome and while I may not wear short shorts, there may be an unsaved person who does that wants to go to church but doesn't feel comfortable and I'd rather see those short shorts in there.
The kids LOVED Sunday school, my youngest daughter is 9 and hadn't been there before, didn't know anyone in her class and had a wonderful time.
It's definitely an overall happy vibe which I think is pretty awesome, it's not at all fake, stuffy, snooty, or people trying way too hard like other churches I've been to, it's the real thing. If you're looking for a new church or you're new to Reno then Grace is definitely worth checking out. If not for anything else, just go for the free donuts on the shuttle! ;)

I'm not a Christian, but I was hired to work an event some months ago and I was made to feel welcome and comfortable, never felt judged or proselytized. I would bring my family back in a heartbeat if I didn't live so far away!

Church is State of the Art! The programs for kids are great as well as the facilities. They have quiet rooms which are fantastic when you have a newborn. They have a great cafe and drinks are on the house on Sundays. So far, I have not heard anything heretical from the pulpit, and the teaching is sound. However, if you are a student of scripture, you will find the sermons lack substance and are aimed at baby Christians or the unregenerate. The pastor seems unfriendly, but it is a very comfortable place to attend church despite this. And while there are a lot of people that go to this church, it is no excuse for the pastor to be unfriendly. I attended a church this size in San Antonio and the Pastor made sure he had every newcomer over to his house for supper (1 Tim 3:2, hospitable). Further, while I have found teachers in the children's church ministries to be friendly, I have yet to find someone in the congregation that is friendly and will get to know you or even have a conversation. This may be because they have close knit groups that get together or something. If you are coming from a friendly church, you will not find the same friendliness her--at least during your first month of attendance. I will post a review once I have been there a bit longer. This is just my Honest first impression.been their a bit longer. This is just my Honest first impression.

Grace at one time was a wonderful place, back in the era when it was smaller. I enjoyed going there before it became the mega church it has turned into. When the NOW program was launched many years ago something happened to Grace. In short the NOW programs was a drive to raise more money to build a bigger building to service more people. Well they did it, the bigger building I mean. However, Grace in my opinion has changed greatly, and perhaps not entirely for the better. Case in point, I went there one day to offer my service to help in the media field. I was unemployed and having trouble finding a job. I had a lot of time on my hands and thought I would volunteer to help fill my days but mostly to give something back to the Lord. Well to make a long and sad story short, because I was not attending Grace, (I was going to a local Calvary church) They didn't want my help. Then they went on to question my Christian faith. I was really taken back by all this. I could understand if they just didn't need the help, but to question my motives or my faith, after all I was simply volunteering. When I left that day I felt anything but loved by my fellow Christian brothers.
Its very hard to rate a church. Some might say I'm not giving it a good review because I was treated poorly. Others might have a different opinion. For myself I believe it has grown into such a mega church, its forgot its small roots. If you attend there you'll have to form your own opinion. As for myself, I miss the days when Pastor Dan was always preaching. When Grace was smaller and more focused on the people that went there. In my opinion They are like the church of Ephesus as mentioned in Revelation.

An excellent, properly presented word, Christ oriented church. My gratitude and prayers of thanksgiving for the Pastor to always be richly blessed. Grace Church knows the real Jesus Christ... a place for someone searching or for the existing believer. Roger in Reno

No greeters greeted this stranger while I waited in lobby except for 1. Worship service was lead singers showing off not leading into worship, songs were for them not congregation; distracting light show. Message was bland not a blessing.

I have never attended services nor even been in Grace's main building or sanctuary. I attended a funeral held in the student services area and building. But I got a feeling of being welcome, and a feeling of peace and serenity about the whole place in general. Christmas decorations in abundance everywhere! But not overdone or gaudy. I made a special walk to see the Christmas village set up in front and it was adorable and can imagine seeing it at night would be magical. I do not embrace organized religion and most churches emit an uptight, stiff and unwelcoming vibration even before meeting the parishioners. But Grace had the opposite feel and that has to be the lingering auras of the people who make up the congregation.

As massive as Grace Church is, it's always friendly, warm and welcoming. It's my home church and though the music is often touch and go but it's there, it's powerful and it's meaningful it would be great to play traditional music with an upbeat once in awhile though.

My husband Damon Shaw and I came here because of neighbors nearby.
We heard Pastor Dan's teaching. Took notes and returned again for about 7 years, then, moved to Stead and began going to another church smaller due to gas prices and distance. My husband has since passed away. I moved back into town and am attending again. I like the hope house and awaken projects, the excellent teaching and the worship there. Sally Shaw

This church was on our short list based on a web search when we moved to Reno. We were looking for solid/relevant Bible teaching and a good place to bring our kids. What we found was so much more. This church is top-shelf in terms of music, teaching, creativity....but most importantly...loving people like Jesus did. Grace Church has become our home and our family.

A message that delivered corporately and individually without that religious presence... refreshing! The word is living not static - anyone can read from the pages of the bible, BUT it is an entirely different thing when by the spirit of the letter those words breathe life into you and speak directly to the heart of the person.

but he/she is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

The best church I have ever been too! Very warm and welcoming to help those who are less advantaged and are in need. Truly living the Great Commission...and feeding the poor and hungry, taking in the widows and children. Giving what God gives them to help others and save lives. Helping get addicts off of the streets and save in recovery. Showing the love of God in some tremendously small ways that make a huge difference. Creating HOPE in the lives of the hopeless.

I stopped by for Christmas Eve. They put on a great show (like really great) but I was disappointed there wasn t much substance. My sister and I had a wonderful conversation afterward about what to look for in a church.

I love Grace Church and think everyone there is friendly, inviting and loving. I would never expect Pastor Dan to have every newcomer to dinner, or he would be hosting dinners every night. It has become a huge church since I started attending and that shows enough right there. I am thrilled to come and see you and you don't have to invite me over for dinner. God bless you.

I've been calling Grace my church since it started. My son went to Lion and Lamb preschool. It's ALWAYS a wonderful, fun and friendly time when I come for service. The staff are very friendly. Grace has found a way to tap into the youth of Reno and Sparks and has made coming to church appealing to them. Yet, Grace is very involved in the community. Solving some of the major issues in the community with the addiction to recovery programs. Always giving love and support to anyone who is need. Grace will always be my church.
