The hotel conference area was nice. The food and drinks were overpriced. Thankfully the convention was fun.

It was great. The food was good and the place is really nice.
Absolutely one of my favorite places to go for the weekend. Staff is always extra friendly and willing to go the extra mile to satisfy any need. I've been there many times and always been impressed with the level of customer service and the detail provided by the staff. I got the conventions there and family gatherings and never been let down. If I could get an apartment in this place I probably would. One individual that really stands out is Christian Reyes who is I think is a manager or supervisor. He is always attentive and ready to solve any problem. I enjoy the food enjoy the pool. I love getting out on the greens. But even on a rainy day I still have a good time inside a hotel which on Friday nights the ride live music great entertainment atmosphere I can't recommend this place enough.
We have been to World Golf Village for Christmas dinner with parents the last three years. Service and meal options have gone "down hill" this year. Will likely find different option next year. Service was attentive when you arrived but on follow up, was none existance. It appears, WGV does not staff appropriately for this day. Food was OK, but not hot. Only one dessert option. Atmosphere is loud if you are on an area with tile.
This is a very nice hotel. It feels secluded and the bar food is actually quite good
This is a hotel for die-hard golfers. This resort is not where you want to be with kids, old amenities, game room does not work, ac in room did not work, pool did not work. Other than those plights clean and nice staff. Just don't plan on having a great time with your kids at that resort.
Just wanted to add that Natalie saved the day and made us feel welcome and comfortable, she was great and explained to me that all we had to do was call and request for room service.
Did not stay here, attended a conference. Everything was very clean, food was really good! Wait staff was very polite!
Loved our stay here, staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I dont usually write a review on anything but I must with this...my husband and I booked a room at this hotel through kayak. When we arrived, our reservation was not even in the system. We booked a king size bed with a balcony. We waited an hour and a half for a room to be cleaned. When we got to our room, there was no balcony. Went back down to the front desk and they put us in the room we had requested online. The room was beautiful and the view so breathtaking....but, the carpet left our feet (including my 16 month old) black and the beds were hard as a rock, to top it off, we heard a toilet flushing ALL night long and loud yelling like a bunch of college kids partying. We are not ones to complain, so the next day we packed and left. Won't be going back to this place.
After my complaint, the staff provided an excellent overall service.
I was in only a very small part of the complex buildings. I was there for a conference, and the beverage set out was very very nice. The coffee was excellent. For me that's saying a lot, because I have a hard time usually with hotel and even restaurant coffee. The facility had lots of amenities as far as presentations, and the chairs were comfortable. It was a little cold in the building, but then it was cold outside. Especially for Florida. I thought everything was well done and bathrooms were clean. I'm giving this only a four-star simply because I was in such a small part of the Renaissance as a whole. In other words, I can't speak with knowledge about the rest of the facility.
I was there for an interview the ppl that worked there was extremely nice... N I wasn't even a guest!!!
Location is somewhat close to shopping but not much else
Excellent course in great shape. The towel guy and cart person Were. Difficult to find.
Great hotel
Looks amazing and every one was so very helpful and friendly
Unfortunately the beds were super small. Queen size beds are a must in a hotel like that
Everyone was fantastic, I am going back in March. Maria donor
Nice hotel and was great to stay at. Not much around though as the location was about 15 to 20 minutes from St. Augstine downtown. Staff was excellent.
I have stayed at this hotel many times for work, and it has always been excellent. The staff is courteous and very helpful, the design is beautiful, the food is delicious, and everything is immaculate. Highly recommended!
I have not been here to actually stay the night. I had come here for a work xmas party that the hotel catered and allowed us to use one of their rooms. So my review might be the best to follow in terms of figuring out the actual hotel experience. The area is gorgeous because of the world of golf area it's located in. It has the caddy shack bar right next to it which isn't so bad either. The hotel itself is gorgeous inside and out. A lot bigger than I thought it was. I wouldn't mind coming here to stay, but I haven't seen any of the rooms or what their prices are. Certainly worth looking into as an option for the area. Their party rooms and catering is very good!
Beautiful hotel and great location. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very nice, but I am disappointed in that they seem to only offer two double beds instead of queens. I was also disappointed in the quality of the bed as it felt as if I was sleeping on a gym mat... The breakfast buffet was excellent! The $19/ per price tag seems a bit much though for the selection (which any other hotel with a buffet offers at nearly half the price), though I had free vouchers so that cost wasn't an issue for me. The few minor to moderate concerns aside it was a lovely hotel stay.
Lobby staff was very pleasant. Lobby opens up into a fantastic atrium.
Great amenities, including 2 golf courses, pool and hot tub. Close to St Augustine & beaches. Next door to World golf hall of fame and Murray Brothers Caddy Shack restaurant.
The worst Marriott I've stayed at...filthy, poor service, bad bad bad
Attended an event in the St Augustine room. The food was very good and staff extremely courteous.
We ate diiner at the Villagio in the Renaissance. Chase was an excellent server & the shrimp scampi pasta was excellent. Can't wait to return.
I have stayed at this location on over four different locations, and each time, I loved it. I have been once with my husband, where we enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi and swimming in the heated pool. We ate dinner at the onsite restaurant, which was walking distance. We even caught a movie at the IMAX theater, which was walking distance from the hotel, as well. The other times that I have stayed at this hotel have been with my female friends. Us girls enjoy the on-site bar, which is upscale (and expensive.) We enjoy the close proximity that this hotel has to the St. Augustine Outlet Mall, also. This hotel is pricey, but it also provides an elegant, upper class atmosphere. If you want cheap, I d recommend somewhere else.
Nice hotel overall but this weekend was a failure. Valet was missing on arrival and second day. Had to walk in to hotel to find a member of staff to leave keys with. Room service initially never showed up claiming they had knocked and called. Finally got it late and staff mentioned there were phone issues.
Big wedding going on which is fine but the hotel could have managed the event better. Fireworks were set off in parking lot, valet area was blocked and there was some sort of mobile DJ in a truck moving around the property blasting music. This was all around 930am.
Definitely check events before booking at this location.
The room was spacious and clean. Great location and grounds. Would recommend for weekend getaway.
Staff was courteous, professional, & knowledgeable. They were quick to resolve any issues. Rooms were clean & spacious. Plenty of towels, full kitchen, & dully stocked utensils. I look forward to my next stay there. It was a great vacation.
Beautiful hotel in the middle if a golf championship area. Rooms are large, clean, tidy, well laid out with a really nice small coffee counter with a small sink and spot lighting.
The hotel was not fully booked, and we checked in late so we had a nice pool area view. The check in counter we're welcoming on the check in, and accommodating on the check out. Since we came late at night and were very tired, they let us check out at 1pm. The shower is refreshing, and the shower enclosure is pretty nice with strong shower water.
All I. All, our experience was pretty nice and will definitely be back to this resort hotel. Please share and like if you found the review helpful.
Good for business or golf, not a family oriented place. Family and kids important for us. Not much to do for the young ones. No indoor pool for bad weather days.
Rooms were clean, the bathtub is horrible badly stain in need of renovation. I had to change my room twice to get tub I didn't feel like I would get a fungus if I got in. I still placed a towel in the bottom. Staff was great beautiful property.
My husband and I visited to celebrate our anniversary!! We loved our stay. From Shawn who checked us in to the very nice bar tender! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The scenery was so nice and peaceful! We also enjoyed a nice dinner at the Caddyshack!!! We know exactly where will be staying on our next visit to St. Augustine!!
Great service and great presentation. Very pretty outside area and gorgeous design.
What a wonderful place to stay at the people at the Renaissance are very helpful very courteous whenever we needed something they had it in a quick and timely manner the place is very well-kept the rooms were extremely nice would stay there anytime we go to St Augustine
I work nearby and I love going to the bar there after work, the bar staff is very friendly and knows my co-workers and I by name. I always have a great experience whilst visiting.
Pay for wifi, pay for parking, pay for breakfast. The room was very very nice but the balconies haven't been cleaned in ages
Excellent
We enjoyed the hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff ... we even received wine and strawberries in our room and a cocktail around 5:30
We recommend...
The entire hotel was very clean, and everyone I spoke with was very nice.
Good evening, I attended the Eastern star grand communications. You made it easy to enjoy. Thank you.
Great service, good food, great fitness center and pool.
I was there for the tattoo convention. The facilities were great. The show... not so much. Not enough equipment and supplies vendors.
Shower curtain had mildew on it and the bathroom was not cleaned. There was hair left on the floor and the sink area.
Great, but a little hard to find your way around to the different buildings. Could be marked a little better.
This was not my first time there and I really like it. However there are some renovations that need to be done before I can fully give a my very best rating.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and I had a very nice valet take my luggage to my room. However, I perturbed because for my two night stay, they did not change my sheets, only made the bed after 6pm. I had to ask that they change my sheets. In addition, they took my money. That's the main reason for the bad review. They charged my credit card $200.00 over what I should have paid based on the room rate. When I asked them about it, they said that they didn't do it. The bank did it. Of course, when I called the bank, the bank said that they only charged what the hotel put in. I'm still fighting to get my money back. I won't stay because they lied and the hotel is over rated. Yes it's a beautiful facility and the grounds are beautiful but customer service is lacking for a hotel with this pricey room rate.
Everything was vey nice. Plenty of parking. Had dinner inside museaum at professional event and really enjoyed the museaum.
Terrible customer service, but truly a beautiful hotel
No WiFi (well you have to pay), it s a stupid drive off the main road to get back there, no complimentary breakfast.. we will not be staying here ever again. I would encourage others not to as well, unless you like spending money for things that other hotels provide to you in the rate, for less than we paid for.
I came with my entire family to stay in this hotel, when we arrived we got a problem with our reservation, after a little time they professionally solved our problem and we could stay here. The hotel is pretty, the bar and the music is good(they have time to stop the music, I like it). The room is very comfortable and clean, and there is a beautiful view. I recommend this place.
Beautiful setting with an amazing staff. Super friendly. Great date night place.
Went to the tattoo convention. Not impressed. Super cramped. Not thought out. Hoping for a better venue next year.
I was there for ancient city con and the venue was wonderful. Staff was very helpful in answering questions, giving detections and helping out. Place was clean and the food was great. There was a nice covered area for people to smoke and there were comfortable chairs. There was plenty of security.
Loved the pool. Have footballs and volley balls to play with. Great for kids. Has a playground. Room was nice. Room wasn't as quite as we expected. You could easily hear guests next door as well as hosekeeping staff. The World of Golf walk around the lake is nice. Almost all the shops are closed so nothing really to do there.
This is a awesome place to hv a convention. Beautiful inside and out
Nice place but I don't understand the whole "Golf Village". Granted it was not necessarily in season but a museum and 1 restaurant don't in my mind constute a "village.
Loved all the amenities and service. Nice and peaceful setting and really close to the shopping outlets.
Wonderful relaxing place to socialize and enjoy a walk around the pond.
Beautiful and very comfortable. One of the most accommodating and relaxing places we have ever enjoyed.
Beautiful facility but the beds & pillows are very uncomfortable.
Our waitress was a bartender who was more interested in guys than a family for food.
I played a round of golf here. The course was really nice but not quite worth the high price in my opinion. Still had fun though.
