From the very beginning of my visit to the end, every single member of this office was amazing and focused on what was best for me. They contacted my insurance to rectify an inconsistency, they clearly explained everything they did, Dr Skyles was professional and thorough, and Colleen took so much time in helping me find the perfect frames. Not only this, but they looked through both insurances I had to find exactly how to get the most benefit out of them, which is greatly appreciated. Dr. Binstock is genuinely interested in my eyes; answers all my questions thoroughly (what a gift that is); and is an absolute font of knowledge. I have gotten such an appreciation for what wondrous things my eyes do--and how wonderfully they are aging. We moved in 2019 to Redmond, and I had been waiting to get my eyes checked. When COVID hit it was a little harder to find somewhere that I felt was going to keep me and the staff safe and Redmond Eye Clinic has done just that. Temp checks at the door, everyone wears masks surfaces are cleaned as soon as one patient is done.
Glasses were easy to pick up, and fit amazing. I will definitely be coming back as log as we're living in Redmond.

Along with their very friendly and efficient staff (Colleen, Adam, Erin, Nicole, Britney, Arnique, and Katie) they are very professional and take the time to explain the results of the exam and provide good recommendations.

They all help to make you feel welcomed, comfortable and well-cared and since they offer several different kinds of frames, you can have a one-stop shopping experience. Adam is excellent in recommending the right frames and is meticulous enough to make sure it's done right.

Dr. Vernon is thorough, accurate, professional and kind. I had never had an eye appointment until I met Dr. Vernon at a networking event and told him about some eye issues I was having. He told me to get it right away as the problems were not normal. I had quite a few tests done and he was able to figure out what was going on. He explained everything to me in terminology that was easy to understand. He even stopped by my office to check in on me. Absolutely wonderful customer service and I recommend him to anyone and everyone! Redmond Eye Clinic is the best!

Dr. Kim Skyles was just what was needed. My very elderly father needed new glasses after several years of making due. She was patient and kind with someone in the mid stages of dementia. She also diagnosed an existing condition that an exam by another doctor 6 months previous had missed. Highly reccomend her services, she is thorough and kind.

Redmond Eye Clinic is staffed, owned and run by helpful, kind and down to earth people. The doctor took her time, without prompting, to go over and explain all my eye tests and eye health to me. I really enjoyed learning a bit of the science behind my eyes and how they work. The glasses options are great. I like color and funky designs and there were definitely some great options while still having a bunch of every day wear available. The staff was knowledgeable and open to my questions about insurance.
When I needed to see someone beside an optometrist, she had great recommendations ready to get me started.
I look forward to using them in the future and the rest of my family will be going here from now on.

I have been going to this clinic for about 14 years now and have been very pleased with the service I have received. They are personable and efficient while not making me feel rushed. They recently helped me pick out some glasses that I actually like - too often I have bought glasses elsewhere only to have buyer's remorse afterward. They were a great at helping me figure out what type of glasses would work for my facial structure. The prescriptions they have given me have also always been spot on.

The staff was very friendly and informative. The gathering of my information was done quickly and efficiently. They are on the second floor and I didn't see ramps or an elevator, so wheelchair access may be a challenge. Dr. Jeff walked me through the answers to all my questions kindly and with a minimum of jargon. Overall, a great visit!

I've been in and out of this clinic several times recently to try to assess some eye issues I had been experiencing. Dr. Skyles was refreshingly thorough, patient, and kind while she addressed the problem. Every single staff member was happy to help with anything I needed. They also include adorable hedgehog pictures in their newsletters, which is fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel listened to and taken care of.

Took an appointment with Dr. Kim Skyles for my dry eye. Right from calling the office for appointment to the Dr. And her staff everyone was super nice and friendly. They did several in office tests to determine the cause, cant remember doctors assistant but she was super gentle and nice. As for Dr. Kim I am soooooo glad I saw her, she explained everything in detail and not once made me feel rushed or pushed me for a certain procedure. She was very knowledgeable and gentle while conducting the exams. Extremely polite and her attitude does reflect care for her patients. The practice was clean and the office vibes were positive..you guys gave an amazing team. Once again thank you Dr. Skyles.

Same day appointment for a possible eye emergency despite being closed for office training. Easy to understand instructions and contact info in case the issue arises over the weekend.

They're so friendly, and they take as much time as you need to explain what's going on with your eyes. Plus they have a lot of cool tests to help them with your eye care.

Lovely, kind folks who do not push procedures you do not need. And, by the way, they support independent frames shops (and not the big chains.) in the frames they sell out of their clinic.
I only wish they were open after 5 OR on weekends! That's my sole gripe (and it cost them a star).

The doctor is so friendly giving you full understanding about what's happening to your eyes and give you alternative solutions. Price so far is nice and I am happy about the services in general.

It is such a poorly operated place, they are unreliable and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to work with this clinic. They lie to your face. We made an appointment for our little 2 years old. One day before our appointment, they called from the clinic and asked to reschedule our appointment for another week. The person on the phone told us only Dr. Skyles sees such young children so she moved our toddler's appointment to later date (9 days postponed). On the same phone call, we also scheduled appointments for me and my older child. On the day of the appointment for our toddler, I called the office during work hours, no one responded, machine answered. So, I left a voice mail about how early that I should be at the clinic because it was going to be our very first visit there. No one got back to me. My toddler and I went to the 4:15 pm appointment at 4 pm. They made us wait for half hour until they took care of other patients then said that our appointment for my toddler never showed up in their system. Obviously, they did not want other patients to hear the conversation and how poorly they handle their mistake. They were able to confirm other appointments that were scheduled for the following week for me and my older child. We were told that the doctors cannot see my toddler. They not only delayed my 2 years old's diagnose (he was the main concern that is why we scheduled the appointment by his pediatricians referral), but also wasted our time. Such a disappointment! The doctors did not even see my toddler although it was their office's mistake, there was no attempt to fix their mistake. We drove all the way to the clinic for no reason and waited and wasted our 6 weeks to get our little one's diagnose and treatment because of their unprofessionalism. We cancelled all of our appointments with this clinic. They clearly do not respect people's time and schedule. They are quite unprofessional. They cannot even handle the appointments. They are unreliable. Plus they do not take the ownership of their mistakes. I would never trust them. It is a bad place. I would say STAY AWAY!

Dr Binstock and Dr.Skyles are Positively the most passionate, knowledgeable and compassionate Eye Doctors I have had the privilege to meet. Dr Binstock explained what they were checking, for prior to the exams. He then explained, in terms I could understand, the results of the tests and plans of action. I was very confident and at ease knowing that Dr Binstock and Dr Skyles have a plan for my care. The are amazing! I highly recommend them if you are looking for a great experience

I am absolutely disappointed with their front office. I had to miss my last two appointments (one as recent as yesterday May/18) all because they could not verify my insurance details. At the time of taking appointment I was told that my insurance is in order. I had to wait for over two weeks to get a slot. I took off from work but when I reached there at 4 pm I was told that my insurance is not current! They had two weeks to verify it and it needed just a call to inform me. Initially the staff wouldn't allow me to meet Dr Vernan. Finally I did manage to meet him but he was as brusque as his staff; of no help at all

I've been very pleased with the care at the Redmond Eye Clinic. The diagnostic equipment is state of the science, and both the assistants and the Optometrists are clearly practiced, expert and patient, able to explain procedures and findings in a clear and understandable fashion.

I have never had such a good experience with an eye doctor. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. I felt so comfortable and enjoyed working with them so much, I almost forgot I was at an eye doctor. Dr. Vernon saw me, and he was fantastic. He did the most thorough exam, and then, unlike any other doctor I've been too, Dr. Vernon actually took my opinions and thoughts about my contacts into account to find the best possible brand of contact for me. I've had other doctors from other clinics try to force me into contacts that are way too expensive, or really bothered my eyes, no matter how much I complained. But Dr. Vernon immediately listened about my concerns and my budget, and found the best possible brand for both of us. It felt much more like a partnership in my eye health. I urge everyone to come get checked at this office. You won't find better service and care anywhere.

I hope the new owner has turned this place around. The last time I was there to see Dr. Periman she was so far behind that one of the guys had to do my vision tests, told me that my eyes were "much worse" (.25 to .50) and then left me there for 45 minutes in the dark. The woman that handles the glasses was new and had no idea what was going on. The next year (last summer) when I called to make my annual appointment, I was rudely told that Periman doesn't do checkups anymore. When I asked why I wasn't notified, they didn't respond. So, I stopped by to pick up a copy of my records for my new eye doctor and they handed me someone else's records, which is a major HIPPA violation! When I came back and asked for my records, they didn't even apologize. I finally got my records only to find that Periman had written some false and very unprofessional notes about my emotional reaction to being told me eyes had gotten much worse and then abruptly left alone in the dark to contemplate that for nearly an hour. Also, I was charged s copay for every visit even though they had my vision insurance on file, which has no copay. Sure enough, my new clinic hasn't charged me at all. I'm so glad I found a new clinic!

I've been going to Dr. Binstock for about 3 years now. When I first saw him, my eyes were in terrible condition. As I suffer from Sjogren's Syndrome, I was dealing with blepharitis constantly. The medication he prescribed has made all the difference in treating the severe dryness of my eyes. My eyes are healthier today than they were 3 years ago. You wouldn't even know that I had been suffering from dryness if you were to look at them now.

Woke up one morning with a spot in one eye causing severe blurriness. I've never had an eye exam before and I was panicking. I chose Redmond Eye Clinic because they had amazing reviews and were open on the day in question. Every staff member I encountered was kind, and helped put me at ease. Colleen was cheerful and joked around with me to take the edge off before Dr. Binstock came in to do the exam. I felt confident in his knowledge and he helped calm my nerves and assured me I wasn't going blind or having an eye fall out (haha thanks dr. google), and that my problem was common and easily worked with. The gentleman who helped me pick out my frames (I can't quite remember his name at the moment but will update after I find out) had me spot on with the first pair and just happened to work perfectly in my budget. And, bonus, my glasses were ready even sooner than the estimate! I'm now seeing clearly and not suffering from constant migraines. Highly recommend! (edited for spelling)

Absolutely befuddling billing practices. As a part of my insurance program I am supposed to be entitled to a free bi-annual eye exam. The "free" exam ended being billed at $350. Why? It was coded as a medical visit, apparently because I at one time had lasik, so my eyes are not "normal".

Dr.s' diagnosis: "Your eyes are fine. See you in two years." I still have no idea what the heck is going on, and when I call to straighten it out, I get no clear answers to my questions! Office told me to contact my insurance provider, which I did. They clearly stated it was billed as medical -- but again, no idea why. I brought the SAME EYES to Dr. Otten three years ago and it was submitted as a routine visit. NOTHING about my eyes or vision has changed substantively in that time interval.

Update: I never did receive a satisfactory explanation to my question of why my visit was covered on the first exam and not on the second. I asked the office to resubmit my claim as prophylactic rather than medical and they begrudgingly assented. For reasons beyond my ken to understand, United Healthcare still says I owe over $200 for my "free" bi-annual eye exam.

Supremely frustrating. I will be looking for another practitioner, even though the basic medical care I received was very good.

'Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head'.. and scratched the heck out of my eye last week. Pro tip: Don't do that.. it really hurts! My former eye doctor was in Overlake and I couldn't drive any further than downtown Redmond. I called these guys and they got me in first thing, got some numbing eye drops in and then got me all fixed up. What had been a horrible, painful morning turned in to a much better day. My scratched eye was good as new two days later. Thanks!!

I'm a new patient here and had a really great first experience. Dr. Binstock has a cool new machine that makes my eyes look like the surface of Jupiter and can tell if I will have problems with glaucoma or macular degeneration in the next 15 years. Dr. Binstock did a great job explaining my LASIK options and the optics manager helped me pick out a great new pair of glasses frames. Redmond Eye Clinic genuinely cares about their patients and you will be unlikely to find a better experience.

This place is a terrible, they make their money on their overpriced glasses and woe to you if you don't buy them there! My husband and I went to them for eye exams (paid exams!). and they wrote scripts for glasses and didn't take our pupil measurements. The guy who is supposed to do the measuring and try to sell you the expensive glasses was at lunch, so they sent us on our way and told us to come back. We left and tried to fill the scripts at Costco and were told we had to pay a fee for the pupil measurements. So we called these guys back up and they told us to come in and they would do the measurement - but didn't mention that there would be a fee unless we bought their glasses. Really? Fee is never ever mentioned, guy is at lunch when we were there the first time, so we have to trek back in there, and they are going to charge us because we are getting our glasses someplace else? Are you kidding me? They will tell you that they can't give you the measurement because of liability reasons. But they are not concerned about liability if you pay them the fee, then it's no problem. They will tell you everybody does it. I called FIVE other local optometrists and these guys are the ONLY ones who do this. GO TO REDMOND VISION CLINIC, they will treat you like a customer and not a cash cow. They will do your exam AND give you the measurement for FREE, even if you mention you need to get the glasses elsewhere. This place apparently has NO consideration for my time, how about they pay me for 2 trips in because their fitter was at lunch? Seriously, terrible experience.

We absolutely love the Redmond eye clinic and will never go anywhere else for our families eye care needs. Throughout the past six months almost every member of my family has had to visit the Redmond eye clinic for mini eye emergencies. they have been able to get us in on multiple occasions same day within a couple of hours of calling. The entire staff is extremely kind, professional and attentive. Thank you Redmond Eye clinic. Dr. Skyles is who I saw today and was able to get an object out of my eye, first attempt and within 30 seconds that I had been trying to get out for two days. WOW!! Dr. Binstock treated my husbands stye and was also wonderful to see. Both are very skilled and knowledgeable. I should also note that during these very uncertain times, many thoughtful measures are being put in place to ensure the health and safety of patients. For example: temperature checks, sanitizer right when you walk in, straight to the room and they even sanitized my insurance and debit cards that they had to touch on two different occasions. Very impressive!!!
