Extremely poor service!!! Their website shows they are open until 10]PM, we walked in at 9pn straight up, after waiting for 5 min while hostess talk with someone about her trip, then we were told they closed at 9pm!!!
We walked out, as I looked at my watch, and it was 9:04pm, we were actually in the door before they closed! So I went back in and asked for manager. A hispanic man named Jaime said he was the manager, and they closed at 9pm, and refused us service!!! I said they should correct their information on the internet. He replied "they can't control what's on Google"... Really, and this guy is a manager??? They just wanted to go home, the restaurant was still over 1/2 full!!!
The worst part, was when he smiled and said "have a good night", to which I replied, "not so much now, thanks!" and then he started laughing asI left!!! What a jerk, the true management, should really look at who represents them!!!! Customer service at its WORST!!! I would NOT recommend Red's Old 395 Grill, they really don't care about customers, but I'm sure their glad to get the tips (although probably not many)!

The decor is a conversation starter on its own. A fest for the eyes. The servers and hosts are not up to par. The food varies every time we come. Though I do have to to say the last time we came it must have been an off day. They were out of a ton, our server was awful and so was our food. I've had one good experience so I won't ruin my going back. Just won't ever have that server again.

Great atmosphere! Not exactly an intimate setting, but lots of positive energy! Fantastic selection of beer on tap with lots of local brews. The food on both the regular menu and the happy hour menu is quite good and comes in good portions for the price. Definitely a great place to hit for most occasions - after work, entertaining out of town guests or anytime you want to go somewhere you can count on great staff and happy clientele to guarantee an enjoyable experience.

I've only eaten here once, but I'm already convinced this place is the real deal.

First off, the ambiance is great. Okay, the beer bottles on the wall and the soda can frames are a bit questionable--but I had a good feeling, the moment I saw their smoking equipment outside and smelled the kitchen inside, that I was in for some good eats.

The barbeque is some of the best I've had and comes with an array of hardy sides. If you like handmade sausages, you've gotta try their linguica. If you've never had real, barbecued sausage, try their linguica! Oh my god, it's amazing.

Their hot wings also have very nice texture and flavour. Just a warning: Red's Old 395 Grill sells wings by the pound and prepares whole wings (drum, wingette, and tip still connected). Since the tip is pretty much dead weight and you get 6 whole wings, you're looking at 12 wings for $14.

There is one thing I HAVE to ding them on. You can tell a lot about a restaurant from their soda, and you can get more foodborne illnesses from a dirty icebox than from raw meat. Red's Old 395 Grill's ice tasted downright foul. It hadn't been in my coke 10 minutes before all I could taste was this overwhelming combination of metallic tap water and freezer funk.

Crazy awesome beer selection and sizable meat portions for the BBQ menu. Will definitely be back to try the pork tacos. This place gets busy, and I wish it was open a little later. Prices are a bit higher than expected, but the ambiance and decor is worth the price of admission. Check out the steam-powered trophy in the entrance! 90% restaurant, 10% museum.

We're traveling and heard a lot about this place. We finally stopped by and it was perfu good. They close fairly early, but food was pretty good. We got the Fry bread appetizer, and it was VERY greasy. (Which is why only 4 stars.) Other than that, everything was great. Had some good beer. Lots of food. Good service.

Was there for a meeting in the side room. Despite large crowd, service was excellent! Orders were timely, drinks kept full, atmosphere fantastic, checks processed efficiently, boxes brought as if it was just a small table. Bravo on service! Food fantastic as always. Can't wait to go back.

Sat waiting (totally okay with this part) about 20 minutes to get seated. After getting seated, sat over 20 minutes waiting for a waited to even acknowledge us. Saw our waited one time in our section. We left, do not bother to waste your time.

This restaurant had great food; I loved everything I tried. My brother and I had their stuffed jalapeno bombers. Also, I had their caesar salad with no chicken, and my brother had their pulled pork sandwich. My brother said that this is the best pulled pork sandwich he's had! However, it took them an hour after we ordered to find out that they didn't have the macho nachos we originally ordered in stock. Because of this we had to wait even longer for food after ordering something different.

This place was amazing. We had a large group of people for a company party and despite a couple of minor glitches related to the complications associated with getting food delivered to our table (there was at least 15 of us) to all of us at the same time versus say a group of 4 or 5 people, they did get it done and the food was good.
The staff was friendly and attentive. The building itself is worth a visit if you're into historical buildings. It was one of the first buildings built in Carson City and it's got a lot of character inside and out. There's huge log beams and doors including one that started life as bank safe.
Lots of antiques inside including some wagons and horse drawn sleds and paintings from the Comstock.

I visited Red's in the company a 95-year old World War II Veteran who is also one of the last Pearl Harbor Survivors. It was a busy afternoon so there was a bit of a wait. We asked the hostess Bianca if she could accommodate us in light of our friend's age. She said she would speak to the manager. She came back and did not address us or let us know what the manager had said. Fifteen minutes later I went up to her and she had completely forgotten about us when I asked her if she could accommodate us she gave me a confusing story, she first told me that her manager had authorized for us to be seated in a back dining room that was available but that we would still have to wait because "there were people ahead of us." I asked her, "So you're telling me that we can't be accommodated even though I'm with a 95 year old WWII veteran?" To which she replied with the same nonsense. She wasn't polite and she did not smile or look directly at me. I'd like to mention the manager Mandy was behind the podium and heard everything we said and not once came out to address the issue. She did instruct her to finally seat us which she did barely addressing is and glaring at us the whole time. I understand Bianca not having the emotional maturity or customer service skills to understand my asking her to accommodate a special needs person was not personal but not only was she mad at me but she was rude to our whole party.
Our waitress Deja Vu completely salvaged the experience. She was genuinely polite, attentive and thanked our hero friend for his service. Deja Vu's great customer service is what made this a 2 star review vs. 1 star. The food is typical for this type of place so customer service is essential in order to create a great experience. They might want to consider providing a discount for Veterans.

Love the service, atmosphere and most of all the peanut butter hamburger! We have come back twice in 2 weeks due to this tasty burger!! Steak fries are coated and perfect crispiness.

Really interesting decor--I mean actually interesting. Lots of TVs to watch the game. Service was super. Food came quickly and was delicious and exactly as ordered. Desserts are definitely sharable.

This one star was hard to hand out because the service we received from our waitress was fantastic.

Unfortunately, this was our first dine-in experience since COVID, prior we had ordered to-go, which was mediocre at best, service, and food alike. We wanted to give them another chance and dine in at their Carson location. As I mentioned before, the service was excellent! The food, however, was abysmal. Everything we ordered was terrible, but we were hungry, so we ate my wood fire Salmon tasted as if it had been poached and microwaved with no seasoning, the potatoes were sticky, and the broccoli was plain and hard. My husband's brisket was greasy and tough to chew. The fried cheesecake was tough to eat, but ok. My daughter's macaroni and cheese was the best thing we had. Now we all have terrible stomach aches.

We will never go back. Sorry Reds we were looking forward to a good BBQ place.
