I was recommended to this site from Credit Karma. I filled out the online data and it said I could save $30 per month. So I said go .. after taking a hard inquiry on credit report, they changed it to $6 savings. Classic bate and switch. I don't trust them and suggest you look other places.
I would recommend based on them trying their best to get me the best rate. They did a great job with that, it took a little Longer to get funded because of the back and forth with insurance, but it went through easy with me contacting my insurance and getting it done right. In conclusion, I would recommend Rate Genuis.

Really bad service
I had 3 phone appointments on 3 different days with Mike and he NEVER called back
3 times he is out. All i got is a 4 points decrease on my credit score and because of hard pull.
This is a total disgrace.
First off I'd highly recommend Andy Lam. He went above and beyond. I never received any kind of offers in the mail. I honestly just submitted an auto refinance application via the website. I'll say that I'm currently trying to rebuild my credit after some poor decisions and choices on my own part. So I actually never even thought anything would go through. Figured I'd receive another rejection email. Used to it. I couldn't even get my personal local credit union that I've been with a few yeqrs to give me a chance. I was just looking for a little savings per month on my car loan ( Ford Mustang GT, I was single when I bought the car and now I have a family with 2 small children). Money is tight at times and wanted that little extra cushion. Low and behold to my amazement I got a call from Andy Lam. He had found me a lender (a credit union even!) That lowered my over 10% APR to 8% and cut my monthly payment $140.00 a month.. with a gap warranty to boot! I'm so happy to be broken free of my old lender. I'm not a RateGenious employee or paid spokesperson I'm an actual average customer. This company is 100% legit. So even if you have a not so good credit score I'd still recommend applying. Granted I added 3 years to auto loan but plan is to pay what I'm paying now to get it paid faster but have that extra wiggle room if I need it. Deffinetly contact Andy Lam because he keeps you posted every step of the way and goes to bat for you. Responds well to emails and text messages. Also process is very quick and easy. I will tell anybody I know looking for help or to save money to reach out to RateGenius. Can't vouch for everyone but they deffdefini helped me!

I had a great experience with Rate Genius. They are based in the US so you are not dealing with someone overseas. My financial representative was Thomas Cunningham, who was extremely knowledgeable and so just so easy to talk to, I think we worked well together. He always kept me in the loop, and they have this cool texting ability which really helps when you can t speak at the moment. Thomas was absolutely amazing, and the process was seamless. I would definitely recommend working with Rate Genius!! Ohhh and the best part is my payment is about $150.00 less a month.

Maybe a great company, who would know. I was approved very quickly online, got an email stating I was approved and to call loan officer Joel Phillips whom I have been trying to call for four days leaving voicemails and not getting a return call. They've lost my bussiness.

Rather misleading. They do get you a lower payment but with all of the refinancing charges total loan comes out the same. Just sort of a waste of time really.
Horrible communication. Had an approval, sent back all paperwork. Weeks went by and no responses.... I was told the lender stopped communicating with them???? I hope others have a better experience. SMH :(

From my first initial contact with RateGenius in which I was looking to refinance my truck, everyone I spoke with was very friendly, responsive and there to help with any questions I had. They even answered questions I didn't know I had. They explained everything in such a way that was 100% comprehensive and made the experience enjoyable. Being upside down on my vehicle loan, my contact Jose Segovia went above and beyond to help me achieve my goal of getting a lower rate, as well as paying off my vehicle in a shorter period (14 months early) of time while saving as much money on interest as possible.
They had multiple different agents asking for the same information over and over. Made worry about their legitamacy. When questioned about it they got very rude asking why I didn't appreciate them saving me money.

Terrible customer service. We spoke about applying with one specific lender. I heard nothing for 48 hrs. When I reached back out I was informed that I had been declined by the one lender that we had discussed. Then I discovered that my information had been sent to multiple lenders, after the first denial. When I had questions about this, the loan rep ghosted me. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The experience was less than ideal. Monthly payment was reduced but the total amount of the loan increased indicating service fees that were not upfront and transparent. Consumer beware. Hidden fees surpassed $1,500 to transfer a loan.

False marketing strategy to get your information. Rategenius emailed a pre approval application to refinance my car. I had to call several times to get the status of the application for the agent to advise me my request was KILLED! I said what does that mean.
She said you didn t qualify because you re upside down in your loan. I said yes when you drive off the dealership lot you become upside down.
Beware pre approval with rate genius does not mean your pre approved!!!!
