The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast included. Otherwise, everything we buy with others is only on average or below others. For example. The hotel has no pool which is a problem with the summer heat, the hotel is located in a not very good area of the city, it is about 10 miles from any tourist center, and there is usually traffic on the road. If you get to be something forgotten in the room better give it for lost because they do not return it. The prices of this hotel vary frequently, depending on the local demand, if you arrive when there are no rooms in the rest of the hotels they will charge you as if it were a 5 star hotel, I did not feel comfortable in this hotel and the next day I changed to another.

This hotel is disgusting..... I was bit multiple times in the 4 hours I spent in the room and finally saw that it was bed bugs! GROSS and UNSANITARY!
The rooms are not well cleaned or sanitized properly (clearly).

Update/ response to management : The next morning maintenance confirmed there was bed bugs as well as the unprofessional front desk manager. Simply lying to respond to a revew is ridiculous and shows a lack of genuine concern for guest service. Do what's right for your guests and GET IT FIXED. That should be your concern since we literally sign your paycheck... Smh

The reason for the poorly rating is it's a crappy hotel staff enivorment

Well the door lock to my room wouldn't latch when I closed the door. I had to go to another floor for a ice machine because floor 3 only had a vending machine. I couldn't use they're computer to ptint up important documents do to the Gmail wasn't compatible since no one updated they're system. I had no hot water for a shower in room 306.

Cheap prices and free breakfast was what I liked. Location was really far away from DC downtown and the hotel is not very new but it was alright for a few nights stay. Still recommend to stay here if on a budget and wanting free breakfast.

Great value, pleasant staff, convenient parking, great location for exploring. You get what you pay for, definitely not a chain hotel. Older appliances and a worn down feeling to the room furniture. Great for a one night stay,but I'd spend a little more if I was staying longer.

This hotel by far is my favorite, the staff was nice and when I needed something it was there. The complimentary breakfast every morning was what I needed to get my day started.. I applaud the chef's this two days I was here. Everything was so secure which I loved so I know my belongings and I was in good hands,,, not to mention it's only a 3 minute car ride away from FedEx Field

It's not in a very pleasant area but the rooms are beautiful and staff was great

This place was exceptional, the staff was approachable, courteous, and helpful. The morning breakfast was fantastic. I truly enjoyed my stay feeling rested and satisfied. Will return for my next stay in DC.

Terrible the most dirtiest hotel ever with poor customer service

I wish I could give zero stars!! First room had bugs! The front desk guy nonchalantly gave us new room keys that didn't even work! Back to the lobby again. Sheets were stained and dirty. We didn't even stay and now have to wait for a refund. Completely gross and disgusting. Don't be deceived by the lobby. Yuck!

Location was lovely, conveniently located. Building was nicely decorated and comfortable.

Was not aware of the extra $100 deposit ,200 for one night is a rip off . Still havent recieved my $100 deposit back yet ,its been 3 weeks ,i called the hotel twice they sent me to customer service that still havent return my call yet. Nice room though ,but i will never come here again!!!

Excellent Hotel. Very nice rooms like Marriott hotel standard. Very delicious breakfast and high speed internet. The room rates are affordable. They have excellent services those are normally provided by 5 star hotels. I strongly recommend this hotel.

You get what you pay for. Dated hotel, the rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Only 1 elevator was working. And they had a community microwave in the lobby.

Dust in cabinets as if someone is in 4 gets 2 beds, in the rooms often stinks with the burning of air conditioning, you can not take a shower, there is no cork in the bathtub, the closet does not close, dirt on the carpet. I thought it would be better ...

Front desk I believe her name was Katie was wonderful to talk to high spirited customer friendly the housekeeping department need to change their attitude when asked a question as if your bothering them but Katie made it a 5 star but housekeeping a 3

Horrible guest service, the day of check out they took all our lugage out of the room without calling us.

Only complaint is the staff sometimes don't listen when you ask for things such as towels.

While in an area with easy access between popular DMV destinations, this is not a good hotel to stay in. The pictures falsely advertise the appearance and conditions. Do not stay here.

The worst hotel I ever been. I rather sleep in my car than be here. It's smells reaaaally bad the stuff are soooo rude and low class. I won't recommend this place to anyone to try it.

Would definitely stay here again, very convenient location to everything. Clean hotel. Staff was friendly. Parking was free, breakfast was decent.

The room was spacious. But the bathroom was cold, there was no heating. Cosmetic repair clearly would not hurt. We were 2 people, but the cosmetic accessories were for one. Breakfast is delicious and nutritious. Good location. Overall, satisfied

The hair dryer did not work, for three people they gave one shampoo and one hair conditioner. Cold water, gray sheets, bathtub dirty and in spalls. Breakfast is terrible. At the entrance, I had to return to the registration desk, since the cards were not activated.

Older hotel in need of renovations. The lobby looked well taken care of. There were only two elevators for the whole hotel, one was broken. We took the stairs and the door to our floor was broken. Multiple ice machines were broken. We had to go two floors above us to get ice. Room smelled weird. Mold on bathroom ceiling. No place in the bathroom to actually hang up a towel. There were holes in the curtains. There were holes and stains on the bed comforter.

We ate the free continental breakfast one day at the hotel. The food was mediocre at best and the coffee was terrible. Luckily, there are a few restaurants within walking distance.

The lady at the front desk laughed at the gentlemen in front of us when he asked where to park. Overall staff was not friendly or very helpful. There is free available parking, so that s a plus.

Definitely wouldn t stay here again.

Pleasant service, strive to help the visitor, good location, good location

Visually okay, even beautiful. On the day (9.09) of my arrival, large groups were received, including our group of 50 people. Only one elevator worked in the 9-story building, which naturally resulted in large queues. The situation seemed to be permanent, as nothing changed in this regard the next day and the day after that.
The furniture in my room had been scraped off, obviously showing its age, everything looked a bit dated, no USB sockets. The Palace-covered floor was uneven in places. The duvet cover was clearly unclean. At my request it was exchanged ... for an even dirtier one. There was an iron and ironing board in the room. The iron was also dirty and even broken. Immediately replaced with a brand new one at my request. In the area of my accommodation from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., very loud noises from the general air conditioning could be heard (8th floor).
Plus points: room very spacious, kettle, air conditioning with a variety of options, the breakfast room large enough for all visitors.
OK for 2-3 nights.

Good location for those traveling to the south and to visit Washington. Very good shuttle service to Washington subway for free. Very good value for money. Simple but abundant breakfast. I will return. P.S. they have canceled a last-minute reservation for free this year when I do not hope.

I had an overall very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are on the small size but comfy and the staff is nice. Definitely nothing extravagant but quite satisfactory. Breakfast in the morning was pretty standard, eggs, sausage, juice, coffee, etc. There isn't much room for more than 4 people per room, as there is no couch and only two double beds in the rooms, however adjacent rooms connect by a door that can be unlocked to form a suite.

A nice room for a low value. Clean room but old building with a stinky stench in the hallways. Their complementary breakfast was great.

Can't complain on anything, fair price,, very clean room, although I think the carpet on the room can use an update.. Good tacos around the corner of this hotel..

Let me just start with this... DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER COMING TO THIS HOTEL. My family have been to hotels all around the world and this is the worst one we have ever been to. The costumer service was absolutely immature, receptionists flipped off a costumer while I was in line because the costumer had a minor complaint. That is rude, immature and unprofessional and something you should never experience while on vacation. Also the rooms had a lot of issues, the key cards never worked and this wasn t just for us but for everyone else, we had to daily walk up and down the stairs to get our room key fixed. And walking you ask?! Yes the elevator was broken and we were required to walk 5 stories up! This was just some minor stuff. Please don t give these people your money. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!

A really Nice hotel for the price... such a bargin.

I had to attend a conf with my daughter and the location of the conf was at metro points

1. I could smell the bathroom in the bedroom as I lay my head to sleep
2. The bedSheet and the pillow case was all dirty not clean
3. The coffee pot was dirty not clean
4. The floor was dirty
5 finger print all over the light
6. Curtain dirty
7. The front desk some where polite but they had some rude girls
8. The phone is dirty does not work

Please avoid this hotel like a plague

Unprofessional! Waste of your money! Rooms are dated and poorly maintained. Breakfast is just plain Bad! Front desk staff and managment are rude! If I could give Zero stars I would.

The worst hotel that we have stayed ever. There was a homeless woman sleeping on the chair in front of elevator of the 4th floor. Breakfast time supposed to be from 6.30am to 9am but there was nothing ready by 6.30am. Staffs arrived late. Coffee and tea was cold and no cups were available. Bread didn't come out until 7.45. Phone in the room was broken when receptionist asked about it he casually said "Oh somebody just started fixing it 20 mins ago". Building is outdated, dirty and old. Avoid at all cost.

My family and I enjoyed our stay Metro Points. It was a nice atmosphere. The room was clean and fresh. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was big and roomy, plenty of towels and toiletries. They have complimentary breakfast buffet, a bar and customer service was excellent.

When we entered the hotel, we were skeptical at best. My friends had read a review complaining about bedbugs in their rooms. We were very apprehensive to sleep in the beds, we practically turned the beds upside down checking to make sure we didn t have any pests. While checking, we discovered random clumps of hair under the covers. This is not an experience any guests should have.

Less than zero ...dont do it...they are incompetent and incapable of customer service...

I only saw the parking lot, lobby and convention center, but all were nice. The lack of parking could be annoying, but I wasn't inconvenienced since I was there during the day. Finding the entrance was a little annoying.

Bed sheet was dirty, was a big dirt spots on it and the smell was not good over there as well as the reception guy was very rude, over all experience was not good

Really needed to get some work done and the Internet kept going out every 5 minutes. The hot water didn t stay hot.

I have stayed at Metro Points Hotel for many years and I love it. The staff is like family, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent (fresh eggs, potatoes, and more) and a free shuttle to the Metro. You can find less expensive, but why would you pass up this gem. The only thing I hate about this review is that I am letting alot of you uncertain about this hotel in on a secret. It really is great. Personally, I hope you stay away, because I want the hotel to myself. But, if you want a great hotel full of value and comfort. then you should enjoy this hotel. Oh, by the way, you are welcome.

Won't go back. Very outdated hotel that needs a good scrub. The walls/carpets/blankets had a lot of markings that need to be cleaned up. Some of the other hotel guests were questionable. Cut my stay short.

Tv doesn't have an HDMI hook up so don't try to bring an Xbox or anything. Hotel phone In the room didn't work which became a nuisance. Also the bath room doesn't have a fan. But staff is helpful and nice

I was on a class trip, was really gross food was bad.

One elevator was broken, smelled like weed in hallway and room, people were sketchy, bathrooms were nasty/ peeling, bugs were in room, and didn t feel safe. Horrible stay!

Our experience was terrible, the hotel was filthy. When we left our do not disturb sign up they proceeded to come in and clean our room when we were gone. In doing so they went trough our things and even packed our bags going through our clothes.
