Went for one night get away and was pleasantly impressed with the service and room. Comfy beds, no mini fridge tho. There was full resturant and bar and friendly staff. I had a great stay and would return and reccomend

The location and the price is good......
However my room phone did not work so I had to sit on hold for about 10mins trying to reach the front desk from my phone. Also the hair dryer didn't work because someone cut the cord. And to top everything off I found out that I CAN NOT extend your stay if you book through a third party. You would literally have to make another reservation and pay another deposit. This is an inconvenience when it comes to time and money. So if I don't have the funds for another deposit I can't stay another night.....

Parking garage is gloomy, parking is free (but not the most desirable), only one ice machine worked in the entire building, my brother mentioned something about a 30-day security deposit hold on his debit card...overall accommodations are nice, but the blemishes on the hotel campus are noticeable...

Very good hotel, spacious rooms. It is a good choice for anyone who wants to visit Washington and save on hotel and transportation. This hotel is 10 minutes from a subway station that runs to Union Station. The hotel offers vans to the metro. Well worth it.

The hotel overall was dirty. This included our rooms, particularly the floors. The ice machins only worked on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. Parking was good, and the breakfast was a little better than average. Not a great hotel, but definitely not the worst.

This hotel lacks in quality. The showers are not strong and it does not stay hot. There are is a loose wires in the heater seemed like a fire hazards so on a whime I checked the fire detectors. There were no batteries in the fire detectors. Not to mention the elevator was inoperable. When we called they were not phased. They stated that the stairs were available. All the bags up and down the stairs. They did not care.

Clean hotel, close promixity to many eateries. There is shuttle services as well to the local train station. Continental breakfast served. Friendly staff. However, the reason for the 3 stars is the long check in process, one working elevator and there was a party being held downstairs which i was able to hear in my room; luckily it wasnt to loud and i was able to block it out with listening to music with my earphones. Overall its a nice place to stay for a vacation. Affordable as well.

This hotel is of very bad quality. In 3 nights. Rooms 601 and 603 problems with hot water. On floors 6, 5 and 4 the ice machines are not working.
Breakfast is not bad for free, but there is a long queue to toast the bread. The toaster is very old and slow. There is no air conditioning in the corridors of rooms the elevators do not look good.
The mattresses on the bed were lumpy and the pillows were very uncomfortable

I am so pleased by the MetroPoints. In the community they are cost effective, Metro accessible, but very friendly. I hosted an event here and through it all Kevin was amazing and helpful, the GM was also there on a Sunday and he was very professional!

They were great and accommodating.

Clean hotel with complementary breakfast. Free shuttle to nearest metro station but the driver does not respect the schedule even if shuttle must be requested at least 15 minutes from the trip. Shuttle was late by more than 30 minutes three times in two days.

The room was plain but clean, the free breakfast was decent, they run a shuttle to and from the Metro station that is a huge plus. The bed was comfortable, the AC was cold and the water was hot, all in all it was a nice stay.

!!!!!! Don t waste your money at this Insect place. GOSH!!!!! The worst place ever!!!!!!
Staff has poor customer service, furniture are old and and full of insects. I m addition to that, the bed sheets are bad colored.

Other than needing a few updates, it's really unbeatable (especially for the price).

Update: So, now that I have a little more time to write it all out. This place was really great! They had a full breakfast self serve that was truly delicious. Their bedrooms was comfortable and spacious. They offer a shuttle to the subway that leads into DC, so it was really easy to travel even though it's on the outskirts. They were super nice about all my children I had with me and brought me cribs for them. I have every intention of going to this hotel at every opportunity that leads me to the DC area.

We drove 5 hrs to Maryland to visit family yesterday. We unfortunately chose Metro Points Hotel to spend the night. I had never heard of Metro Points Hotels until yesterday, and now I know the reason why. Check in should've only taken 5 min since I was the only one in the lobby, but it took 15 min. Mentally tired, all I wanted was our room. We arrived in our room, and first thing that we noticed were the lumpy made up 2 full size beds. I took off the top sheets and noticed the sheets underneath were wrinkled. As if someone had been laying on it all night and the same sheets were just folded back on top. Same thing on the other bed. To confirm my suspision, there were multiple hairs on both beds, brown stains, lipstick stains. To make matters worse, one of the beds had a fitted sheet placed inside out! I then requested another room. "Sorry about that," was what all the front desk could say. Second room: same lumpy made up 2 full beds. I took off the top sheets again. Same thing. Multiple hairs, stains, sheets with holes, and the smell of the sheets were of someone's body odor. I took all the sheets out and placed them on the floor. I requested new, washed sheets to be placed on our beds. I had 3 hrs of sleep the night prior. All I wanted for my family were clean, washed sheets. I didn't care if the walls and curtains had stains, dirt on the carpets, dirty bathroom floor grout, dirty bathtub, worn out and rusted fixtures, flickering lights, worn out cabinets; All we needed were clean, washed beddings. For $110/night, we deserved cleaned and washed sheets. Having dirty sheets is how you get scabies, bed bugs, influenza, Hep A, Staph, E.coli, Tinea, etc. I have been to 42 different countries in the past 10 yrs, and I've stayed at $30/night hotels in third world countries with cleaner beddings than Metro Points hotel. Advise to Metro Points: If you don't want to invest in refacing your outdated hotel, invest in your cleaning crews to replace the beddings after each customer. A clean bed to sleep in is all we ask after paying $110 in a hotel that should be called a motel. That's all we aks for!!!

Previous visits were great. On last visit place was a dump. Walls and ceiling appeared to be under repair from all of the patch repairs. Very disappointed. Management appeared unconcerned with my complaints.

Stayed at this hotel on Sep 12 and 13th (2012) while the service and staff were nice, both rooms were infested with cockroaches. I will never stay there again and I will make sure health department in Washington is informed.
