always can find what I'm looking for and the employee's almost always greet me with a smile :)
I love this Ralph's so much. It's in the center of the city and they have everything you could want, plenty of name brands which I love, instead of store brands being shoved down your throat, and many specialty items too. Parking is free, employees are awesome. I recommend everything execept the salad/hot food bar. It never looks fresh and sometimes smells. I'm still giving a 5 star review because everything else is on point and I don't use the salad bar anyway.
It's a bit smaller than a usual store BUT they have EVERYTHING here and the quality of produce and products is better than a regular Ralphs. Although I might say it may be a bit pricier than others but worth it.
I might spend hours in that shop. So intrigued by its stories. Yip I'm South African and most of the items here are not back home. Their range of fish is large and well priced so is the salad and meat and vegetables. The sushi ready looks great. Has even contained a pharmacy.
Not the best Ralphs, staff might need some improvements.
A large supermarket with everything.
Full of tequila such as patrons.
You can buy water, nuts, and berry packs to use during your stay.
They seem to have a lot of problems with shoplifting and therefore the security tends to be heavy-handed the management does not seem to be too concerned about the customers and their problems is is rare for Ralph's most Ralph's are really good so this is one of the worst Ralph's I've probably ever been to
Big store. Lots of stuff. Deli has seating. Salad bar. Sushi.
This place is full of homeless and it used to be nice andclean but now it is just ghetto! I don't like shopping here but my husband insists on coming here because of the deli which has really gone down hill in products and customer service.
Our go-to supermarket because it's a block away. Bigger than a regular grocery store, they also opened up a bar inside!
Price: decent for dtla
Homeless people outside aren't annoying and they leave you alone of you ignore them.
Parking: Free downstairs, sometime you need validation. Plenty of parking at night.
Lots of choice, especially the beer n wine selection. There is also a cheap sales corner
An alright store. Not the best selection of drinks and the deli isn't the best.
Quality Staff, Quality Service, Quality Products, Clean Store.
Hot bar, Salad Bar, Bar to have a beer and watch a game.
The only reason I did not give them a 5 star is because the grocery carts need to be maintained better. They squeak and the wheels aren't aligned.
Terrific Ralph's with "food court" in DTLA. Great cheese and charcuterie selection!
I love this neighborhood grocery store. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I've heard multiple people say that if they do not carry an item, they're happy to order it if you ask. The produce is always fresh (no sifting through).
We really didn't buy anything here. I loved the fresh flowers and Starbucks in the front of the store. We tried to buy groceries but it was more expensive than other grocery stores. The orange juice machine was cool, but we've got a juicer at home that does the same thing. I like to see a real butcher behind the meat counter (there were 2!), but we weren't buying any meat items today.
I was taught by a tourist guide. I didn't have much time souvenirs I bought them almost here (laughs). The cashier gave me a reward card and gave me a discount.
Great prices, great selection. Just a wonderful Downtown LA grocery store. Lovely staff. Cheapest you're going to find around these parts.
Great place to shop for groceries staff is always very helpful and friendly.
Ralphs would clearly win the award for Best Alcoholic Hibiscus Drinks in the Bay Area if there were such an award. They also happen to feature large seating areas perfect for accomodating groups of 8-12 people out for a birthday dinner, small office party, or similar event. I don't know how many Senegalese restaurants there are in San Francisco, but it is fair to say Ralphs must be one of the best.
Great food with reasonable prices. Restrooms are sometimes untidy because of the many homeless people in the area. Sometimes police come to this location because of the thefts. Security here is a nightmare and sometimes the security staff will hassle the homeless people especially at night. In my opinion you don't need to threaten, intimidate or speak down on people who are less fortunate than you are in order to make others feel safe.
Ralphs is awesome. Just don't go to this location Saturday or Sunday mid-day when it is super crowded.
Their food is tasty and excellently price: you will enjoy the free sample and the new items that pop up every now and then.
This Ralphs has lots of Organic products not found in many other stores. More selection. The produce section is beautiful. Differently a wide variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. More of it is locally grown/distributed and sustainable. Read the labels.
Myra has been cutting my hair for at least ten years, and I can't think of anyone else other than Wendy p that will ever cut my hair.
Quality selection and prices are good considering it is in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. Has a salad bar, olive bar, hot food bar, soup bar, wide variety of specialty cheeses, hot and cold deli items, a sandwich counter, and an alcohol bar (craft ale on tap from local brewery) if you need a break from work or chores. Restrooms are in the back of the store.
The beacon of light in downtown LA (for the time being).
Before Trader Joes (rumored to show up at The Block) and Whole Foods shows up down the block, Ralphs is still the main grocery store in all of downtown.
Coming up 2007 its already remodeling itself currently to keep up with the competition and incoming resident population around the Southpark neighborhood.
Whats great about this Ralphs is the 6 bottle of liquor deal. You can mix and match any 6 bottles to receive all bottles for an amazing price. I'll normally pick up a few cheap wine bottles and buy good scotch for the remaining bottles.
Pros
- get your dry cleaning here
- get lunch and dinner here premade!
- parking garage below for free for an hour and a half
- huge liquor selection
Cons
- bums normally hastle you in front
- prices are slightly higher than normal
I can usually find what I need here to make meals. Never enough check out register and staff moves slowly.
Like any other Ralph's I have been to. They got everything that I usually needed for my daily necessities. The staff here were friendly and helpful.
A bar inside a grocery store? What's not to love????!!
The legendary downtown LA Ralph s. Can t say enough about this place. There s a bar inside the grocery store with 4$ beers at all times. Incredible
I shop here because it is close to work. They don't always have what I need and the produce and wine is kind of expensive. Their hot food and sandwiches are pretty good. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Sometimes has grocery items or better prices than nearby Whole foods or Smart & Final, like Zattaran's File' or smoked meats.
The only Ralph's that I know that has literally everything...including a beer and wine bar. My pharmacy is there as well..the drawbacks are the bums and homeless that you can literally watch shoplifting..even worse are the self entitled douchebags that walk the aisles with their dogs..seen more than 1 dog urinate or poop on the floor. The sign out front clearly states service dogs only but nobody seems to care that its unsanitary which is why all markets prohibit walking "Fido" around the store..other than that, this Ralph's is a place where you can pretty much get anything you need
One of the nicest Ralph's I've ever been to. Very clean and well kept. They even have a section where you can sit and have a drink (alcohol).
Love this store. Super friendly, very helpful, super clean, huge selection , pretty fast check out. Easy parking and they even will call a cab for you.
Perfect neighborhood grocery store. It always smells so good in here! When I don't want to drive to whole foods, I walk to this mini-version of it to fulfill my grocery needs. This tiny shop has an excellent selection of produce and ready-made foods.
This is a Fresh Fare Ralph's meaning it wishes to have whole food prices. Honestly you will get a deal on the stuff that is in weekly ads but if it's not on sale everything is priced higher then an ordinary store not such in a prime downtown location which is why the new City target charges more then any other Normal target.
If your not part of the avg Median income in downtown that makes 100,000$ a year, you will shop here without holding back and realize you spent nearly double vs going to the stores you know have good prices year round. If your in the higher income bracket then it's all about sheer convenience which this store definitely is ^^
Big non dairy milk section and lots of plant based protein options! Everyone here is always helpful and they know what they re doing.
Downtown location with all the same selections at reasonable prices. This is part of the Kroger chain now.
This is my go to place for lunch. It s fun, clean, and affordable. Recently, I was teaching my kid of the price of convenience, eg- if a store offers services at more convenience to customer than not then it typically raises the price on its goods and let me tell you, this place breaks the mold. The prices are very good for the downtown area. The store has a deli hot plate cafeteria offering options from pizza to pork loin. I ve had them all- yum. It also has a salad bar and sandwich counter. It a pitch and a hit... a home run!
Theres a bar inside I was surprised staff is friendly. Theres not alot of bar stolls
All workers there go out of their way to be friendly. Good food selection.
Great delicacies very good selection good and ample free basement parking
The response on service , good. Before getting too busy, they got more help without having to ask. I was not stressed. It has been a good day in these trying times. I needed to just shop and go I did!
I love this neighborhood grocery store. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I've heard multiple people say that if they do not carry an item, they're happy to order it if you ask. The produce is always fresh (no sifting through).
Good service, humble people, and great place in DTLA
Good options for good and house hold items. They make good birthday cakes and good collections of party baloons
Its a friendly grocery store well maintained. Mostly go for the broccoli soup and cheese rolls. I do my grocery shopping here because they have quality food at affordable prices.
It is the local store. Decent selection of fruits and vegetables
This Ralphs has bigger than usual selection of organic and "green" foods. Staff is friendly, although there's usually a line at check out. Has a bar inside.
Validation parking for 90 min is great when you need to park for a bit in dtla
Something is not right if managers or security tell you call police. I was based and hit by crazy guy in between shelves of that store during a day. Manager gave me fake number to call supposedly complain line. No Customer service -in some departments they ass you one to another before you get cheers slides. Take me 20 min. Everytime.
Decent supply of goods, with a restaurant and bar in the market. Better prices than Vons, but not as good a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables.
It's okay price's are reasonable. Parking is great and free which is located under the building
You can find just about anything at this Ralph's. They also have a cool bar that serves wine and other drinks. If you're into that you can meet nrw people or just hang out with friends. Plenty of free parking with validation.
Great place clean and organized. Good food for a quick snack
My go-to spot for groceries in downtown. Wide selection of produce, and typically they are always fully stocked. Large cheese selection, deli counter, ready made foods, hot and cold food bar, dry cleaner, pharmacy, and even a small "bar/pub" where you can order drinks and watch a game. All inside one store!
Has all the standard Kroger items you would expect. Prices are not hiked up compared to other Ralph's, you should expect the same pricing as elsewhere.
Keep in mind this store is a bit small for the amount of people it serves. It can get CROWDED. Especially right before a big game at Staples, or any holiday. The staff does their best, and I've always received good service.
Overall 5/5, and I plan to continue shopping here as long as I'm in downtown. Not to mention it's much more inexpensive compared to Whole Foods around the corner.
Good produce and much cheap than nearby whole foods
Great price lots of selection for organic foods. Good management as they try to do everything they can to avoid the line getting long at the register.
