Decent, not great grocery store, valuable most for being cheaper than the nearby Whole Foods and having a slightly greater variety of stuff.

Great store. Have everything you need they also serve beer and wine
This place has things I would get when I cannot do a Costco run. However they don't carry the bag of green onions like they use to. If you want then they have them at the Monrovia store. After the remodel of the place I know it has been years I have been here less. The produce has it improved nor has the meat department. They use to en really helpful out in the isle when you see someone, the Customer service us not quite the same with the returns and cashiers.
The salad bar and hot food section is great for a quick dinner pick-up. Although there is plenty of underground parking available, because they are doing construction next door, sometimes, it can be very difficult to make the illegal left turn into the parking. Hope they fix that at some point.
Great location and parking. Good for quick meals and/or meals for one. Salad/fruit bar, hot food bar, deli... You can even have a glass of wine while shopping
They have a BAR inside the store ...yes, a BAR!!! ...so you can get your shopping AND your boozing done at the same place. The bar even has TVs to watch the game. Look for the bar counter in the back of the deli section towards the back, right side of the store.
-There's plenty of self-checkout lanes on the groceries side too.
-A little over-priced as expected in downtown LA.... but they have a BAR!!
-Security guards follow you everywhere, they're just doing their job so I guess is a good thing.
-Overall 5 stars
Great prices, best London Broil, fresh breads. Less expensive and better quality .
A very clean establishment that has a lot kf foot traffic. Their deli service is exceptional. Definetly worth trying. There is plenty of seating indoors.
A lot more affordable option than Whole Foods while offering similar items. Prepared meals are tasty and inexpensive.
LOVE THIS LOCATION "LOVE NELLY IN THE DELI" GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IN DELI. ORGANIC PRODUCE THE BEST!!!
Huge store, wide selection of every grocery item you can think of, including deli, bakery, salad bar and more.
Went here like 6 times while visiting LA. This place is great.
Clean, organized and fully stocked. We appreciated the type of sturdy plastic bags that they give for your groceries.
This is an interesting place, that much is without a doubt. This grocery store is much more than meets the eye. This isn't the first Ralph's I've been to, but I wouldn't mind if it was the last. Other Ralph's grocery stores have the "signature" to title marked on it, this one is a "fresh fare" the only one I've ever seen.
"This place has everything, and more" . That's what comes to mind when I first entered this place. A bakery for bread and cakes, a deli, a separate fish section, and of the most important features of this "store" that separates it from the rest; HOT FOOD WITH BEER (AND WINE). Sure, it also has a mini dry cleaners, but no one cares about that. What's really cool is being able to go to the sandwich kiosk, or the little sushi bar they have, and go eat it at the bar; and pay for it there too. Sure there's also a little food court area, but it's boring there.
A lot of items cost a little more than elsewhere, but on the other hand, they do have some deals, and they do have a lot of premium items that aren't avaliable at a more generic store.
Bottom line, you're missing out on the full experience this Ralph's has to offer if you've never had their food or tried what they have on tap. The bar should really have its own entry on Google Maps, like the Whole Foods Bar does (It's called Eight Bar and it's better "in theory") but I still like this it more at this "grocery store bar".
Okay, I'll admit it, I almost never actually buy groceries at this grocery store; I'm sure you can guess what I spent most of my money on here.
Now having said that, why only four stars? Because I know it could be better, but the upper management lacks imagination and the will to change and adapt to new trends. Nevermind the "home delivery" nonsense, this is a community gathering point, a place people go to just to hang out, why not have an art exhibit or something, huh!?
But really, if I could afford it, I would come here everyday until I got sick of it, and even then come back for the food.
And I actually do save money on yellow tag items, so it still does serve it's original purpose as a grocery store XP
It's also the price is also much cheaper and various kinds. If you have a member card is much more affordable.
I was merely driving a client, but it seemed a nice store with good underground parking.
Parking is free for the first 90 minutes with validation.
Good quality products , much cheaper then the another nearby grocery stores - I do recommend on Ralphs anywhere .. thanks for being there all over the way :)
I love this little Ralph's. It is perfect for downtown. It's new and clean. Since Whole Foods is nearby they try to compete by stocking the store with higher end products and less of the store brand.
Charged us for items we didnt get. Didn't notice until we were home. Not worth the trouble going back.
So today my boyfriend goes into Ralph's & went to the deli side to get a sandwich made and he knows what I like, he tells the woman what to put on it like always .. So he brings me the sandwich and as soon as I bit into it I got disgusted because the woman who made it put pepper Jack cheese on it instead of Chipotle cheddar smh .. Crazy because I had the same sandwich yesterday and whoever made it made it right. Just shows you how much this person pay attention to what the costumers want.
Amazing! A full Ralph's grocery store, in the middle of LA.
Stopped here for just for snacks and ended up going through the whole store, it was just too cool, had to check it out.
Full format grocery store in the space of one city block, with fresh produce, meat/seafood, bakery, and a bar! They only serve wine and beer, but just imagine after a hard day at work you can do your shopping and have glass of wine at the same time! Only in LA!
They also had a salad bar, pasta bar, almost as much ready made food that you would find in a buffet, and a full deli.
Was downtown shopping and actually came here twice in one day before heading home.Has everything you could possibly need in a store, and free underground parking.
Great busy market without the pretentiousness of the Whole Foods
Nice grocery's store, fresh vegetables, too little choice of German style bread. Quite expensive.
Large hot & cold deli selections, coffee bar, sushi bar, large variety of shelf & produce items
Everyone wore a mask, didn't see anybody without it. A lot of people have the mask under their nose though, would've loved if they enforced the mask rule more effectively.
It's all worth the price. Better shop here than in a crowded place plus their staffs are all friendly and will always help you out.
Love this place because it was the 1st market in Downtown L.A. during it's metamorphosis in the early 2000's.
Impersonal, sanitary, for people who don't care to smell or taste their food
I've been shopping here for the last few years (2015) we finally have a proper grocery store....well other than the new S&F, Target, and a few way overpriced mom & pops. The Ralphs 2.1 makeover was a pain in my B-hole, and I'm still getting used to the changes, as long as I can still get my Boars head angus roast beef, grinder rolls, and who couldn't resist the potato dill salad....not this guy.
I love this Ralph's they have a lil bar lol you can have a drink while grocery shopping
A great place to get lunch and snacks, especially that I work in downtown.
Good sales ,this store has more variety I noticed it supplies more organic foods I rate it a 8
Best ralphs in the chain the people who work here are amazing and they always seem to have what im looking for.
Clean Ralph's with a big variety of organic products. Conveniently located. One minus - always long lines.
Downtown busy, easy access to parking lot,has validated personnel upon exiting, great place to shop.
It helps that they have underground parking for their customers.
What I like about Ralphs is the prices and discounts. They do offer a variety of organic fruits and vegetables. Bring your child up to the bakery and a staff member will hand them a free cookie or bakery item.
Their deli department makes good sandwiches and their hot food counter has a good selection of items to take home for lunch or dinner.
The staff is friendly and they will go out of their way to help you find an item.
One of the best routes I've ever been to large selection clean Store Friendly staff if you're near this use the storage really good
A real BAR right inside the grocery store!! They even had the game on.
It gets the job done, but there s always harassing homeless people outside. Also usually an issue getting out of the parking garage, the liquor and cosmetics items are behind a locked case, and there s so many aggressive grocery shopping app employees
This place is close to my work. I was surprised to never notice it before. It's definitely small but it has everything you need. Surprisingly has a hot deli and fresh produce section. I went here to grab a quick bite before the onslaught of meetings began.
There you find in the discount area many items that you never expect of good quality and low price, in addition their food is excellent
How can you go wrong in this store what a selection of good food and eye candy wow
Experience of the second time that I go to pick up my medicine is far away but then I know more streets I had fun now that I go in the go I had fun again I went walking and I was desperate but now not now I did not have a good time I came to God in the bas 81 and I went back to him and there I grabbed the bat in the come 33 I am already in my little house thank God amen
Good, clean, and many products not available art other Ralph's.
Cool Ralph's, there's a large salad bar and prepared foods area for the lunch crowd. There's even a bar. Not a 5 star because I swear the prices here are inflated
I really dislike the store. The aisles are very narrow and it's always crowded. Often items I'm looking to buy are gone. There is also an online shopping company that operates out of the store and they take up a lot of space in the aisles. The only reason I go to the store is because it's near where I live. I make every attempt to shop elsewhere when possible.
Sometimes the store is it for usually the majority of the time it's a 3. I've never experienced it as a 2. The Fish Department is sorely lacking in really appealing fish. The meat department is what day seem to specialize in just because of the size that both of them have. The store is cramped because it's on the first floor of a larger building. There is underground parking. usually aligned around lunch during the week. And then from 4 until 7 it's always very busy. On the weekends there isn't really a time there when you can go except for the very early morning but usually it's it's busy so that means there's a fresh turnover in the food that they make there. But you have to make sure if you like the Fried Chicken ask them when it was done because sometimes they've left it out and it gets dry. The service from the staff is good. Management is very attentive. The people who are behind the deli counter there a bit slow but that's true at higher and stores have gone to the deli people are always slow maybe that's an entry level position. The produce I'd say is pretty damn good pretty fresh.
It s a joke like really a joke only one cashier to check out and the line is looped around hire pay more so people would be interested to work goddamnit
Got a Beautiful Delicious Birthday for Miss Bella.
Fabulous food court! Clean. But super busy and the Isles arent as big as other ralphs bring downtown! So dont go if youre in a crunch. Go when youre not in a hurry
Ecxelente marketing good products good service congratulations
Cashiers seam to feel the costumer will bag the groceries,
This is not your normal everyday Ralphs. Tje deli is complete with an olive bar, and one can even take a break and enjoy a glass of wine in front the large screen TV. In addition, the usual groceries are available
There is also a pharmacy, and simple medicines are also available.
If they carried our favorite brands of cottage cheese and grass fed yogurt I wouldn't need Whole Foods at all, other than that they've got it all.
Friendly service and security, but prices are a bit high.
The store is great except the security the store closes at 2 am it was 1:55 and he wouldn't let me back in when i just left to my car to drop off my groceries and realized i for got something i told him and he was but now where closed all rude and closed the door on my face on thursday October,25 @1:50 am
Ralph's downtown, clean, friendly staff, good, typical selection, unfortunately, typical Ralph's high prices.
They have everything, and it's all laid out very nicely. Excellent shopping experience, except for the zealous security guards that followed me around the store the entire time.
I usually love this store. But closing the doors 15 minutes early is rude. Especially when I traveled a great distance to get there.
Great supermarket, and they have beer. But what was strange to me is that beer can only be bought in six packs. Even if you mix it yourself, you can't buy a lower number... Also they do ask even visibly old enough people for their IDs.
They have huge watermelons.
This market is huge and has everything you could ever want from a grocery store plus a lot of extras like Dry Cleaning and a Bar in the middle of the market.
Love the hot food area. Supper clean and fresh food. Sushi section is supper cool. They make all the sushi early in the morning, so they are fresh.
