This is so fun! I went here with my Cousin Ashley, our favourite is the Invader, log flume, rollercoaster AND MORE) YOU SHOULD GO HERE! Best theme park ever
Cool family outing Connot take concervitive food have to save up especially big families must rent a space for a better experience
A wonderful time spent taking my children to one of my childhood favourites. A highlight for my kids trip to NZ.
Had such a great time. I really love the Fear Fall. I would totally go back if I had the money.
Night rides was fun kids absolutely enjoyed and the price was pretty good buying online
I couldn't ride roller coaster, because my turn became the staff told us you can't ride the roller coaster
Not a bad place to visit, buying online is a little cheaper.
I love this place and the FAMILY KARTS were my favourite.
We went on a Tuesday and I guess they were short staffed as most of the rides were closed before 4pm. They did however apologise and even offered us vouchers, but I'd recommend going to Kids kingdom on weekdays and adult rides on weekends! Even the food places were out of food by about 2.30 pm
Rainbow's End may be a park, but it is not a "theme park". It is expensive, lacking in rides and identity, antiquated, dirty and excruciatingly boring. It is truly sad that Kiwi children think that this place defines theme parks here in the country. After existing for nearly 40 years, you would expect the place to finally understand what a theme park is, but I guess we need the place to be a disappointment, just like our education system. It seems our kids are doomed to have a bad time no matter where they are.
Do you have the money to visit Fun's End? Save up a little more, fly to Gold Coast and go show the kids real theme parks.
It's definitely getting better but oh my life, it's very very pricey. The stratosphere ride is hands down the best thrill ride there.
Lines are long on the whole and the rides are quite short. In saying this though, it's always a bit of fun. Parking is plentiful and you aren't forced to eat hotdogs, ice creams, chips etc. if you don't want to.
Rainbows End also bend over backwards for you if you would like to hold a corporate event there. They have a wonderful and flexible event team.
Great place for a adventure and have fun with family and friends.
Had a really good time, if you're someone who loves thrill rides there are quite a few that rainbow end offers, personally the powersurge and stratosfear are the ones I liked best. But if you arent into those rides then there are also bumper boats, bumper cars, gold rush. Theres also kidz kingdom which have rides for children 8 and under so the little ones can also enjoy.
Rides are good but there are only few for the price that they are charging.
I had to pay $32 just ro walk around tge and I still spent money, rip off.
Was amazing during the week day, session times with certain rides provided, great service and friendly staff
What an awesome place to visit. We were there Sunday 8 December with the electrix family day. Had a great time. Love the Stratosfear Extreme ride. Your staff are very friendly and professional. Credit to the Rainbows End culture. Will be back again.
Amazing amusement park. Thanks so much for the friendly services. We really enjoyed being here yesterday. Would definitely visit again soon :)
We had a awesome time took my family out for my daughter 5th birthday, we purchased the kids kingdom and log flume pass. Rides and staff are amazing always helpful, excepet for one staff member the guy that cleans the seats! at the log flume on 24th November around 2pm very (arrogant and rude) he needs to learn some manners, totally uncalled for!
Good place to go with family and friends for bonding
Went to rainbows end on queens birthday 2019. the park is great the rides are great but the Indian staff member at Hound Dog Cafe is the worst! No customer service the attitude does not exist and the English is bad. I think she just doesn't like Chinese customers. Couldn't understand her! That's why a 3 stars! If you are hearing this, you've got a problem to solve at Hound Dog Cafe!!!
The place was very busy on the day. Huge waits for most attractions. I have gone there for the kids, but it turns out that we werent even able to go on the same rides. Wasnt worth the money or time for us, so we got a refund. The best time to visit is off-pick, outside school holidays.
Had way more fun than I thought. Had the idea that it was more for kids but was so much fun
We mainly visit Kid's Kingdom due to my child's age but they love it. I find it really repetitive as the accompanying adult but as long as the kiddo has fun! We bring our own picnic lunch as the food on offer is overpriced and pretty bland. Staff are always wonderful. The rides are a bit random as they only man it if there's a line so you're constantly waiting for others. We come several times a year so it hasn't put us off. They have shows at set times in main Rainbow's End dining area, and inside Kids Kingdom so that's good to break up the monotony of the day. Just remember, "it's all about the kids, all about the kids", pop a panadol and keep smiling.
Fun times. Some amazing rides. Levels for mostly older kids but fun zone for smaller ones. Rather expensive though and food choices very limited.
I visited this place back in early 2017 and I rode almost all the thrill rides except the stratosfear and the fear fall and I absolutely think that the bumper boats are very hilarious. BIG FACT: it was built on the site of a former skate park!
Plenty of good rides but unfortunately too long to wait
It was good, but food is far too expensive, but would still go again because I found out I can take my own food!
Great for children... That have not experienced anything in Europe ot america.... Or do not cry like a wuss!
The perfect place to take your family especially between the ages of 4 and 15 even a good place to go for a for adults just to have a bit of an adrenalin rush, plenty of food stalls and toilets, just make sure you wear comfy shoes and clothes, and take a small bag to carry phone and wallet's nothing else is needed
Must visit place. You can spend your whole day here
Doing the corkscrew coaster for a second row in a time with my 7yr old son. Best time of his life.
A great park and we all had a great time but please let those with food allergies bring their own safe food into the park. I found it very disappointing when all of the food sold was unsuitable for me due to my food allergies and I had to go hungry. Sure I could've gone out front to eat my own food but I wanted to eat with my family who could enjoy your food and not by myself outside. It's not a big ask, please dont discriminate against those who have legitimate food allergies who just want to have a nice day out with family.
Always a great place to go to with the kids. Great variation of rides, some are a bit dated but they are investing to upgrade and the 7D experience is fantastic.
It's ok, don't have any other choice of an amusement park out there around Auckland.
i walked in, and stood in bodily fluids. then i left and a man tried to grab me by the legs and eat me. would recommend. most fun ive had in a while. :)
Awesome, like a mini Disneyland. Food wasn't that great though.
fun place for kids and adults - but only half the rides ever seem to be working no matter what time of the year you go.
Poor staff training ruined my boy's birthday in December 2019. We will NEVER go back again. Not recommend at all to go to this place!
The reception guy called Shiraz purposely showed his arrogant attitude to my family and refused to let us enter Rainbow's end. He saw us as criminals who wanted to take branded food to break their no branded food rules. The reality is the food are just leftover lunch with mashed potato and several pieces of fried chicken. The weather is too hot to put any food in our car. After his instruction, we threw away the package, used pen to cross out the brand name and put all of them into my personal bag. We even promised we won't open the bag to obey their rules and also simply because we were all full and there was no need to open the bag in the play grounds.
But Shiraz refused we, as paid customers, to go in again. We all got very angry to be seen as intended criminals. We asked his manager a lady to come. She patiently listened to us and finally understand we were just here for celebrating our son's birthday, not show any brand food to break their rules. Finally we entered the rainbow's end after one hour argument and explanation.
Very bad experience!!!
Rainbow's End adventure park is a great family experience, some of the rides are rather white knuckle, but the kids really enjoy the experience. It is rather disappointing that after paying for a family ticket there are some activities where more money is required unless you have purchased a super pass.
Been a few times heaps to do great family day out, awesome staff.
My kids partner and self really enjoyed ourselves but....to buy food there and not very nice food either! is really ridiculous! Definitely pack a lunch next time
Expensive and no healthy food, very much like local take away oily food. Parking was good on the 3 times I have been. Grand children have enjoyed the day in the under 12 play /rides area but get bored of the same rides.
Has some really good upgrades. Rainbows is a great family place
My kids loved it,would of been great if there were more healthier eating options.
Great place to spend the whole day. Lots of fun. A mixture of the older iconic rides and newer thrill rides. Also a large arcade. A variety of things to do for all ages. Great that there is separate parts of the park for the under 7's (kids kingdom) and the main park for everybody, gives you a choice as to what you want to do and what you want to pay for. Lots of places to get food, unfortunately no halal or kosher options but still a great day out.
23Nov16 Undergoing new investment in more rides and facilities. Icon of Auckland - probably New Zealand too.
It's a great place, but here's the thing.
It's mostly well kept, the odd thing here or there. The problem at hand here is that this place is not revisit-able unless you are fine with repeating the same things over and over again.
Most of the staff are friendly but some just seem unmotivated and bored. Then the food, it's overpriced... *way* overpriced. Some of the food is good but most of it is just stuff you would find in the average food court. Nothing inherently special.
Apart from maybe the icecream place but even then it's not that good.
Overall, my first time here was something memorable. Great childhood memories but no point in revisiting unless you can deal with the same things.
Read a nice theme park with a good selection of rides from the more exciting roller coasters with loops and barrel rolls to the more standard log flumes and mine train good food and drink options and all the normal community that you would need a really good place to spend half a day to a day
Nice place to spend some time with friends or family.
This place is a little high priced especially if one goes with a family. There are rides for all ages which is good.
The queues for rides can sometimes be never ending but the safety is not compromised
