Great for families with younger kids. Not as exciting for the thrill seeker, but as far as theme parks go in Aotearoa... It really is the premiere destination, and really not all that shabby either.

Went as part of an end of year Christmas work function, so had the whole park to ourselves with about a few hundred others and just stuck to Fearfall and The Stratosphere for pretty much the whole time. Was great to be there.

Were lucky enough to get vouchers for the family as a Christmas present. Went along with 2 adults and kids 8 and 5. Get there early so you can get on the bigger rides with little or no queues as it can get busy. There is something for everyone and a dedicated area for the little ones. A great day was had by everyone

So many rides were closed. But they still charged full entry ($60!) That hurt. But it had some good fun classic rides. My friend who was with me summed it up well - "If someone else had paid for my ticket this would be great".

Went there on a drizzling Sunday before school and there was hardly any people which meant no waiting in line so that was awesome coz we tried every ride in 4hrs. Got a hotdog and chips for $12 and it was so huge that 2 people could share so was worth it. Well worth the money overall as everyone in our group had a memorable day!

What a nice place to refreshing and try your adrenaline with your friends or family. We bought $48 ticket include meals, it's worth the penny. I don't know in the future they might be change the price. Easy access with train just 40 minutes from Britomart and 7 minutes by walk.

We paid to play the "Sword Fighting" game in the Rainbow Playlab. Two of our team have glasses and were asked to wear chunky safety goggles over the top. For the first round, they complied and wore them and they fogged up completely.

In the second round, we asked if they could just wear their own glasses and accept liability if something happened. But they said that wasnt what the policy was.

So their choices were either to stop in the middle of a competitive time limited game to wipe their wet safety goggles, or to be fighting completely blind which is incredibly unsafe.

After a while, the game operator said that he understood and would let them play. But one of the other operators had scuttled off to get a manager who interrupted them in the middle of the combat to demand they wear goggles. Again, have enough spine to say "No, I'm sorry you cannot do that" rather than smiling in peoples faces and then being sly.

So we ended up paying for a game that we couldn't even use.

All four of us do combat training and are actively part of sword fighting clubs and organizations, we know what safety precautions for this kind of activity should look like, and this was absolutely not it.

And after spending almost $300 on entry to Rainbows End alone, youd think theyd treat their customers better. Completely disappointing.

They now operate with timetable on weekdays(?) so you'll be experiencing a lot of people rushing towards whichever rides are open at that time so you'd expect to constantly be in a short line which isn't too bad. They also got rid of the pirate ship feelsbadman

Best time to go here is during a weekday for sure. The rides are open by times and you basically have a zero wait time as its not busy at all.

Dont go weekends and dont do the night rides as wait times were 20 to 40min..... obviously this is to be expected...Do whatever is best for you.

It had been years since i last visited and they added a few more rides and done up the entrance.

My suggestion is to work your way up when it comes to rides. We start with

1. Gold rush
2. Log flume
3.roller coaster
4. Stratosfear
5. Fearfall

Then do the Go Karts (NUMBER 2 SEEMS THE FASTEST) and Dodgems to calm you down.....THEN REPEAT after a snack and little rest.... But do what you want.

A Good tip would be to bring your own food as the food they serve isn't very healthy and not exactly cheap.

There is a dedicated smokers corner near the Gold rush for those that smoke.

If you go during the weekdays be nice to the workers as they run a skelaton crew and have 5min to run between attractions. Poor guy operated bumper boats then had to run all the way to the roller coaster lol Handled it with humour and great customer service.

Couple of things though:

Upgrade to log flume is needed or at least a reskin.

Expansion of Go karts

Maybe a New roller coaster

Upgrade to scenery needed in middle of park. The center covered stage makes it look a bit too cluttered and theming needs a refresh.

Other then that it was a great time! Will vist here again next time im in NZ

Took my young Nephews and Niece here for the night rides. UNBELIEVABLE service from security. We had a car in the parking lot with a window left down and a security guard stood outside the car from when we got there from 7:30pm until midnight making sure our car was safe! OMG thank you to the Rainbows Security for the outstanding service. You certainly went above and beyond. I'll never forget it.

I had so much fun at rainbows end! They have lots to do, so if you're scared of heights or just don't like the extreme rides, you still have options. They also provide lockers you can rent out for $10/day.

I had an awful experience in kidz kingdom. No interaction with kids taking rides. I took my niece and daughter. My niece was giving them smiles (ride operators). Nothing in return it seems like they were not happy at all in working there. My daughter was sliding down in one of the rides, i told him and he hardly cared about that. Not even listening to me properly.. ( GUYS IF YOU DONT LIKE WORKING IN THEIR JUST LEAVE, WORK WHERE YOU WANT TO) atleast be nice with little human beings they were so happy and smiling and when they got nothing in return they went sad and sacred.. its not a complain its a request for management team to look after this thing. You need people who are happy around kids. I am never going back there and i dont recommend anyone either.
