The thing about this class of hotel is that if there is a problem (poor view from room) then they can, and will fix it. However aerating the bath tap to discourage guests from filling the bath is a cheap trick and should be beneath a five star hotel

Stayed in Singapore for five nights with a friend and had a superb time at Swissotel The Stamford! Check in was easy and we were stepped up to a room on the 41st floor with ease. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and had an amazing view - we loved staying in the hotel almost as much as exploring Singapore!

Everything about this place was 5 star - the service was impeccable and you definitely feel like you're getting your monies worth. I'll happily stay here on my next Singapore trip!

A 15-minute walk from the restaurants at Clarke Quay, this polished high-rise hotel is 3 minutes' walk from City Hall MRT station and 8 minutes' walk from Parliament House.

Sleek rooms with balconies are equipped with flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi access (fee), and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded rooms and suites add living rooms, and access to a club lounge with complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails. Room service is available.

Dining options including an elegant French bistro and a Japanese restaurant, plus a cocktail lounge, a poolside bar and a nightclub. Other amenities include 2 outdoor pools, tennis courts, a spa and a gym.

I do love this hotel but because of the poor large beautiful fish stuck in the tiny little pond by the spa I will have to give a 1!
These large fish need more space, they must be going out of their minds being in there all the time going round in circles.

The best thing here was their vegetarian food. And the Indian restaurant is awesome. They have locals singing Ghazals here.

The next best thing is the easy access to the metro right below and the cab services that are available 24x7.

Reasonable rooms, though can do better with the amenities.

Attended Equinox @ Swissotel for a wedding. Really great ambience oweing to the great view of Singapore presented. Foodwise, it was decent wedding fare. I did not find any dish exceptionally good or otherwise. Overall a decent experience, elevated by the view.

The hotel has just been refurbished and it is really elegant. The rooms are spacious and trendy with many ways to stay connected. The beds are amazing as well as the rain showers... A must go to.

Great location, big mall underneath the hotel. Easy to walk everywhere. Our room on the high floor, has the view of the city including Marina Bay Sands. Very spacious room and very white bathroom. It has a special lounge for guests who has checked out, it comes with shower room, very convenient while waiting for our late flight. Good service!

This hotel advertises itself on being family friendly. It is anything but.

As a family returning from an extended overseas visit from UK to Singapore, we decided on a 24 stopover. We'd budgeted everything carefully (as families do) with just over $100.00 for food and a bit of MRT travel for sights etc. That was wiped out when the check-in staff refused to book us into the hotel without taking a SG$100.00 credit card swipe which locked the funds destined for the days food etc. This was even after explaining the situation I.e. that we were relying on that money to feed ourselves. The $100.00 deposit was not stipulated in any of our travel documentation or itinerary. Charging it without notice meant it was impossible to budget for.

We had to scrape scraps of leftover UK currency together and spend over an hour finding an open money exchange, otherwise my kids would be hungry.

Don't count on a 'breathtaking view' as your just as likely to get a view over the Raffles City shopping centre roof (as we have) as opposed to the much touted views over the bay. Can't even chill a water as the fridge doesn't work properly.

I had high hopes for this place due to its central location and easy access to the city but we're left spending money-less, mildly hungry and bitter. That unadvertised $100 deposit has pretty much ruined our stopover.

The refurbished room was decent, however not very high up so sadly no views. Staff and service were fine, no complaints. Water pressure in the rooms could have been better. Sound proofing of the room door could have been better as noise from the corridor was disturbing at night. Gym was great and well equipped. Pool was average.

I stayed here on a business trip for a conference ...

I stayed here on a business trip for a conference on site and was concerned, like others about the previous negative reviews. But it was OK / adequate. The view was fantastic from my room and I couldn't fault the attentive service and the staff certainly met all my needs. I gave 3 stars because - they charge for Wifi, this is a general dislike of mine when I have to pay for it but I was told by one of the lovely staff members to join the swissotel loyalty program (which is free) and I would get free wifi, saving me $75, so that is a tip if you are staying there. The rooms are tired, compared to what you would get elsewhere. The carpet was old and the bathrooms were a bit old - the bath mat had mould on the bottom, no excuse for that.
The breakfast buffet was great but the room service food I found quite ordinary so like one of the other reviewers, I found the food court on the 3rd floor and it was awesome.
They are really lucky they have great staff.
