Raffles City Hotels (Swissotel the Stamford & Raffles the Plaza) Review

Hotel room is nice and good location. However, we will not happy with a few issues. We are Singaporean and got a room booking on 15 Nov under room 2507 for my girl 21st birthday. Upon check in, I thought there will be a welcome birthday note for the birthday girl but no. When call the operator just to check our few items if it in the hotel fridge, I assume that the operator heard it wrongly and they bring the items up to the room instead. A few times the same staff bring our items to our room, his face show black with no smile. When asking for carpark complimentary coupon, they said not provided. I have checked with my friends, they all said hotel should have provide Carpark complimentary coupon for guests but why your hotel not provided and it is a 5 stars hotel. Room Air con was not strong enough. Really feel disappointed on all this and wondering if the hotel only serves tourist well then local guest.

Excellent room and all facilities with shopping, restaurants, MRT all within complex. Central location to tourist attractions. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Just an awesome hotel, highly recommended.. Currently being refurbished, stayed in a new style room which was wow!

The upside of the hotel is the location (over looking the marina bay) and the staff. They are helpful and polite. The downside is we couldn't access the swimming pool after we checked out though our flight is later in the evening. There is a 4 hour block charge if we need to use the pool for our children.
Marriott tang and other hotels lets us use their pool even we checked out. Our flight back to Sydney tends to be in the evening. Therefore I give it a 4 star.

This is a great hotel in the heart of the downtown part of Singapore. Staff is very friendly. Food is the cafe is good as well.

Pretty cramp for a room and the toilet facilities are just average. Selling point is probably just the balcony and the fact that its close to the MRT and shopping and eating establishments

Very central location, you walk to almost everything, Chinatown is a 20 minute walk, Gardens by the Bay is 15 minute walk, lots of shopping and restaurants underground

Recently renovated and looks good internally. The automated self check in system is a good idea but seems to not be more efficient for customers. You end up waiting twice as long if you face an issue in the process. Also my room had constant riser noises from elevator shaft or something similar.

Best location! ( at city hall) recommend not to include breakfast. Not worthy.

Old fashioned hotel which is undergoing renovation. Location is very good and within close proximity to city hall mrt
