Great time at a business Christmas party followed by a great nights sleep. The value was fantastic... even better than last year's..out in the burbs... hotel The room was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. What more can you ask for?
Not really happy with this place, 2nd time I've stayed here and only reason is because of walking distance to an event. Other than that I find that it is not that clean of a place but the beds do look clean.
Nice hotel, very nice views, and right downtown. The rooms were a good size, but the sheets on the bed were not fitted and therefore I ended up sleeping straight in the mattress when I shifted in the night. The key card for my door deactivated EVERY time we left our room even when we were very careful of making sure it didn't touch anything magnetic. The staff and the front desk were always happy to re activate it, but it was a hassle. Location made it very convenient!
It's in good walking distance from various stores and the mall. The beds are super comfy and the customer service is great. The only problems are you'll keep getting disconnected from wifI or no wifi at all.
I attended Keycon here in 2004. I was drugged and raped. Neither con staff nor hotel staff did anything to help me. Keycon staff threatened my personal safety if I went to the police. I was still a child.
In 2009 Keycon found out I was discussing the sexual assault that occurred during their convention. They posted my name and address online, harassed me nonstop, and continued to threaten me.
In 2013 Keycon staff hijacked an unrelated human rights trial to insist that I lied about a rape that happened nine years ago and was in no way relevant to the trial simply because they wanted to watch their victim cry. (Garland v. Tackaberry)
It is clear that the Radission does not care about the safety of its guests or they would not allow a convention that excuses the rape of children to prosper.
Security impersonating cop attacking a woman and throwing her against a wall is assault and saying she is under arrest is impersonating a cop he cannot arrest her! I'm disgusted a hotel will allow a employee act like a cop, and assault a woman and he obviously is on drugs or something he has the twitchy movements like a person on drugs shame on your hotel!
Attended a nice event. The room was lovely, but some staff were a little funny to deal with and some of the food and beverage was not perfect. Overall, a good experience, but not perfect.
I was at the Radisson Hotel in the ballroom for the United Boxing Classic. It was a great venue with helpful, friendly staff. Great venue, great staff, great experience.
The front desk is not supposed to allow guests up past a certain time without the rooms permission which i think is nice and safe. i just delivered pizza there
This was a first for my husband and I... we were greeted at the front desk in a timely manner...our room was great...spacious and great king sized bed (first for us). We came in for the Calgary/Jets game. Everything was fine until after the game..came back to the Hotel "Bar"...(which it's not btw...its a restaurant)... u would think they would be prepared after a hockey game (930-10)... We got a seat fairly quick....sat there waiting for someone to take our order for a long time...when that eventually happened...food came quickly...then it was a long time before we saw anyone again...was never asked if everything was good/alright. Was fine if you want to be left alone!
As a convention runner, we have found the hotel to be excellent. Few problems, and always resolved quickly. Housekeeping was on top of everything, Sales office was wonderful to work with. For a small event to a large event, I would recommend!
Asked front desk where to eat that was local and not a chain. They suggested Moxies, BP's, or The Keg. Rooms are nice and have been renovated in the last 10 years by the looks of it but none of the lamps have an AC outlet for charging a device.
The only place I know that's in prime location and does cash deposits! They have the most amazing shuttle service. I've been here 3 times, and it's always my go to when I come to Winnipeg. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly. Highly recommended!
Nice hotel, nice room bed was ok. Main problem was the lack of power plugs near the bed. It's 2017...everyone has electronics, and I charge my phone/tablet at night, and while I'm using it. It would be REALLY nice to have some available plug ins next to the bed. Also the internet was WORTHLESS. It showed I had good reception, but it consistently disconnected. It would reconnect, but within a minute, would disconnect again. Couldn't do any work I needed to get done.
I was in Winnipeg on business for a few days. The Radisson was everything I needed. Right downtown, attached Starbucks. The service was good (Angie at the front desk is an awesome host - wish she was at every hotel I stay at). The restaurant is up on like the 12th floor (try the like 9-dollar orange juice - it was literally the best I've ever had). And a shout out to the cleaning staff (the woman cleaning my room had been working there like 20 years and was super friendly). Thanks for the stay - I'll put Radisson Winnipeg on my short list next time I come through.
WORST place i've ever stayed at. The beds are rock hard. When asked if they have anything to soften your sleep like a blanket or something they said no. Rooms are expensive for what you get. There is no pool here and they try and push the casino like no other. Internet is extremely slow. Takes forever to load a page. You must pay for all outgoing calls even if they are local. I had been booked for 10 nights and I had to leave after 3 nights because my back and my shoulder was killing me from the bed. Woke up in the middle of the night every night because of the HORRIBLE beds they have!
Really nice, clean hotel. Can't complain about a thing. Great view of the surrounding Winnipeg area from my room. The WiFi is quick, and there's a Starbucks downstairs in the lobby. Not sure what more one could ask for?
I chose this hotel as it is within walking distance to many of Winnipeg's attractions and restaurants including Bell MTS Place which is next door. Check in and out was a breeze, staff here were very friendly. I requested a room on a higher floor for the view of downtown and was given one on the 17th floor. Room was modern and well maintained and clean. Bed was very comfortable as well. Would have been nice to had the mini bar/fridge stocked but not a big deal. Had breakfast at their restaurant on the 12th floor which was delicious and again accompanied by terrific service. Overall i really liked this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Winnipeg.
Pros: Nice View of Winnipeg Downtown Was able to check in early Cons: Curtains dont close all the way to dim the room. TV barely has channels. Didnt have a microwave. Towels smell bad. Fridge took long to cool our drinks. No swimming pool for a 4 star hotel. Air Conditioning is terrible. The reception desk only had one person so it took a while to get to us. Didnt have tooth paste provided (unlike most hotels) You can hear the noises from the hallway in your room really well.
Very clean rooms, no evidence that smoking was ever allowed in the history of the hotel, and Starbucks in the lobby keeps me coming to this hotel often.
Room services was good.I liked the decor. Staff were professional greeted us very well. View was beautiful. Great section of bar. Drinks was good. Food was tasty.
The experience was less than satisfactory. At first the hotel shuttle wasn't available at the airport. After 45mins wait we contacted the hotel and we told the driver had a flat tire, but was on his way. We googled how long it would take to get to the hotel, and coincidentally the driver arrived round about the same time it would take to drive. Suggesting they forgot (which is ok) and then lied to cover it up.
When we did arrive the line up to check in wrapped around the lobby, into the starbucks, through the starbucks and back out to the front door. I understand the volume, but there were only 2 people checking in guests. This certainly didn't help get through the volume. After an hour wait we were checked in.
Later at night we needed a bottle opener, no matter what service department we called. (Room service, restaurant, guest services, housekeeping) we either had no answer or were transferred to another department that had no answer on the phone.
Overall the cleanliness and quality of the room was good. It is situated right in downtown so a close walk to the MTSarena and other downtown venues. Just unfortunate events left a negative impression of the hotel for our stay.
Stayed the night with my Grandma. Rude awakening by the house keepers or someone from the hotel; entered the room without warning. (Not the first time this has happened as it happened to a family member) Quite disturbing experience.
It s hit or miss but generally clean homey and good. A hit is a few of the folks at the front desk very courteous and professional. Where as some of the gals I ve run into were short and rude and more interested in talking with each other. If you get a suite facing the road bring ear plugs. If you are lucky enough to land a one bedroom suite it s spacious and amazing. If you land in a regular room they are cramped and noisy especially if you get one with a connector.
Excellent facility for a conference. The staff are very motivated to make your stay comfortable and the elevators are lightening fast. If you're used to having a hard pillow while you sleep though, I recommend bringing one from home, as they are the usual soft, unsupportive, hotel brand pillows.
I am not happy with this hotel. When we got here we were told that we booked a two bed room. We checked the reservation and the only thing it says is that the hotel chooses the room. The lady at the reception said she could give us a queen but it is close to the elevator so could be noisy. I wished she tried more. I can't possibly believe that there was no better option. We did not reserve a two bed room but she did say that after checking the system it looked like we did.?! This really bothered me and it is disappointing having two separate beds. We do like the view.
Great location, room was great, the only thing that was unfortunate was that we had to pay to park, but we also understand that's part of a downtown location.
Clean and recently remodeled but the check in staff was a bit unfriendly. Our favorite part of the stay was our conversation with the awesome restaurant staff. Michael, who was tending bar, was so personable and kept us there drinking longer than we planned because his company was so enjoyable. James and Mariella also chatted with us and we really enjoyed their input on places to go and visit in Winnipeg.
