Mrs. Karen Wishart, owner of CURZON! Your husband ...

Mrs. Karen Wishart, owner of CURZON! Your husband Norm Wishart is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered in a business arena. I'm not sure why you even allowed him to run the business when you left to become Vice President of Urban One. I signed up with Curzon in 2017, and you all put me to work immediately. I had nothing but good things to say about Curzon at that time. I came back on board 2019, and things had DRASTICALLY gone down hill! Everyone that I connected with at Curzon previously had moved on. Your husband does not care one bit about the agency! I've witnessed him walking about aimlessly in the office, as if he would rather be anywhere but there! He's not friendly or helpful in any sense, and he speaks to people that come in looking for work any kind of way. His ATTITUDE is pretty pathetic for a business owner. I see first hand why you all have lost all of the good folks that used to work there! I suggest your husband check his attitude at the door before you lose your business COMPLETELY! I would rather find another way to make ends meet, than to EVER have to deal with such UNPROFESSIONALISM again! It's soooooo very sad to see black folks own a business that have the potential to help so many people, but yet be ruined by RUDE, NASTY UNCARING owners! His whole attitude REAKS of, "I've got mine", get YOURS! Mr. Norm Wishart spoke to me as if I were his child, telling me that I "BETTER" watch my tone when when I called to let him know Curzon mistakenly deposited my pay in an old account from when I previously worked there! I sent an email a week earlier requesting a paper check,
and it was CONFIRMED by one of your account managers. Just the fact that he told me HE DIDN'T CARE about how he spoke to me in such a rude and condescending manner, shows me that his heart is NOT in that business!! Sometimes it's best to hire someone other than family to take the lead! I hear that's the worst thing you can do. I strongly suggest you get to the bottom of his attitude, because your company does NOT align with Curzon's mission statement at all! I wish Mrs. Wishart that I could give your business a NEGATIVE 5 STARS! Reviews are everything for a business, and needless to say; the measly 2.5 stars Curzon has currently is GENEROUS, and speaks VOLUMES! Thank goodness Google review allows regular folk like ME to give am HONEST opinion!

From the moment I walked in the door, the staff of Curzon was friendly and welcoming. The whole process from start to finish went very quickly. Within two weeks of submitting my application online I was starting my first temp job, which turned into a full time position for me. At my interview with the President, Debbie George, she made me feel relaxed and reassured in that as long as I did my part (checking in with them once a week to let them know I was available) they would do everything they could to find, not just any job, but a great job that fit with what I wanted to do. Jessica Mayo was also an amazing person to work with! She was my contact whom I dealt with on a daily basis. She was very attentive to any questions I had and the time sheets I submitted. While being professional, she also made me feel comfortable like a friend not just a client.

I absolutely LOVE my job right now, and if it were not for Curzon I would never have found it. The organization I now work for has informed me that they have dealt with Curzon a number of times previously and plans to continue using them in the future. I am so glad that I chose Curzon and would definitely recommend them to a friend who is looking for a job whether temporary or permanent!

I moved to the DC area from Ohio and took an internal job with Curzon. I was let go after 1 and a half weeks with no reason given besides "it's just not working out." Only job I have ever been let go from. I was always the first one there and last to leave, and worked harder than anyone.

The leadership and training structure was non existent, and integrity is nowhere to be found with this company. There was no growth, expansion, planning, etc.

I've now spent almost 5 years with one of the fastest growing staffing firms in the nation which has made me realize how terrible Curzon was. Since they were willing to train and invest in my skills, I have been a top 5 recruiter in the country year after year.

Accepting a position with this company was one of the worst mistakes I have made, but leaving so quickly was one of the best things that could have happened to me. Curzon is the joke of the staffing industry.

Interviewed with a couple of recruiters over the phone and in person. One of them assured me that, with my experiences/qualifications, I would be able to find work quickly. But after interviewing, never heard back; no calls or emails. Very strange!

Curzon Staffing was great from beginning to finish and I would like to acknowledge one of the best staffer (Sandy Hackett) who helped me tremendously during my tenure with Curzon. I would highly recommend anyone seeking employment to sign up here.

No, no, no. This is not how you run a professional temp agency at all. Do not maintain excellent contact with well-rounded minority candidates at the start, have them do computer skill tests, bring them in for an in-person interview, instill hope and excitement for a foot in the door, and then immediately toss them to the curb and never follow up with them afterwards. That is absolutely uncalled for and very unprofessional for any company. If you believe that you don't have any openings or channels for said individuals, then the least you could do reach out to them and tell them that to close the loop. Never will I ever recommend this staffing company to anyone ever. The way they bait you and then ignore you and refuse to receive your follow up calls is absolutely cowardly. I am glad I found my own job elsewhere and, more importantly, on my own. Absolutely ridiculous.

Don't do it to yourself! Bottom of the barrel, last resort place to go. The folks that work at Curzon are all straightt outta high school, and don't know their head from tail! They don't call you back, and certainly don't put you on an assignment. You'll be waiting forever if you think someone from this hood joint is going to give you the time of day. I can't understand how they're even still open, as they have new people in the office every other week... Find A REPUTABLE place to go! Save yourself the misery!

I have been working for Curzon for the last 4 years and I absolutely Love it. I think the professionalism starts with Chris the office manager and everyone else. I feel fortunate to have Sandy (the best) in the DMV as my rep. She gets to know each person on an individual basis. She is very understanding when you don't take a job and doesn't hold that against you. I have been very happy with Curzon and I believe they do the best to meet each individuals needs.
