This place is fine. Great location blocks from lots of things plus water taxi 2 min walk. It is older property but who cares about that stuff there are beds shower, pool, pool bar w great menu, bridge to beach, marina access...great. The maids are good and nice. The front desk and maintenance are clueless and lazy. Bad layout in lobby have a ton of space on mezzanine level but cram bar and restaurant in a small room and hallway. Employees telling ppl to move ..very uncomfortable. Need invest in staff and space management.

Rooms were nice but not high quality. We stayed in the rooms off the main building. You could definetly tell its had a lot of makeup plastered on over the years. We had a balcony which was nice. It had lots of shops and a bar in the hotel which was cool. The access to the beach was closed off. Parking was atrocious. They offer park yourself or valet parking but when you arrived it was only valet. There was one person that helped us but he was definetly not a person that belonged at a customer service desk. But another gentlemen Jesse helped us the second time around and was great. All In all I would give my evening stay a 3.5

I arrived extra early for check in and spoke with Jovaine and Janel. The two of them were very helpful with getting checked in. They both went above and beyond to answer all my questions!

The hotel was a perfect location and was in the process of being updated. All the employees were helpful and very friendly ! Thanks for a great stay !

P.s. the elevators do suck !

Great hotel, perfect location. Choose a north facing tower room if you can.
we had 28 people stay with them before our cruise. The first couple nights were just 4 of us and they were as friendly and helpful as they were on the last night with everyone. The location is perfect, it's a quick ride to town, airport and shopping but what sold us was the walking across the street to the beach. The views from our room were of the marina and the beach and almost everyone in our group had similar views. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great prices, security was great and the pool was a nice alternative to the beach. We even ordered a box online and had it shipped to the hotel, when we arrived security brought it right out. The room was huge, maybe a bit dated but all in all, excellent stay.

Stayed there on January 1-3 great place except i left my diamond wedding ring on the nightstand by mistake when i got back it was not there.File a complain with security and the GM they states they spoke with the housekeeper and was told they saw no ring which is weird when everyone in the room which was my kids and husband saw me lay my ring down to lotion my hand..They keep saying this person has work here along time and would not do anything like that..But yet still my 3 carat diamond ring went missing..Personally I think the investigation was not handle properly..Hard Lesson learn for me..I will never stay there again.

Outdated hotel. 2.5 stars.
Great location
Great staff
Priced right during certain times of the year.
This was once a great resort hotel. It has seen better days. The room looked such that I made sure I looked around and under everything before I opened my suitcase. It was ok.
I would stay here again just for the location.

I booked 1 month in advance but they had no king beds when I arrived for check-in @ 10 am on a Monday. Could not get an early check-in because they were supposedly completely booked the night before. They would call me as soon as a room was available. No call. I showed up again at 3pm and they were ready. Room with 2 double beds, TV stopped working and the toilet didn't flush. 9am they gave me another room. Do not waste your money here.

Avoid like the plague....older hotel that Hilton has not invested into. My shower did not drain, overall hotel rooms and carpets are dingy. The elevators still do not work. The balcony in the tower are non functional. Front office manager lacks empathy for inconveniences from the poor experience

Great location on the beach and a great price compared to area hotels. Road construction up the street made driving one way a little difficult, but it was within walking distance of most things we wanted to do so that wasnt an issue. One complaint was we requested a microwave more than once and they said they were sending one and they never did.

Great hotel, elevators have been not operating at 100% during my last 2 stays, valet parking/self parking $30+. So factor that into your stay. Rates are competitive, then add parking if you're driving a vehicle. Beach across the street.

Beautiful scenery. The hotel was great as always. Mike with the bike was ready to help with our cycling travels whenever we were ready. Natalie works at the hotel and is always sporting a smile. She is so pleasant. It is nice that the pool is on the inter-coastal side. It is calm and inviting. I cannot wait to stay again.

This place was horrible I had to different reservations and it was problems after problems. Then today I wake up to see that they have over charged my card again by 150.00 dollars and im all the way in ohio. When I call for a refund the lady wont give me a refund. She said we didnt charge your card but my bank account shows otherwise I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I will never be back .

Great spot to spend before a cruise. Access to beach. Pool area is refurbished and looking good. Lots of food close by. Watertaxi wthin walking distant. Deep sea fishing. Trolley to Galleria Mall. Downside only 2 out of 3 elevators working, sometimes it seems to be a long time for the elevator to arrive. I timed it and was 3 minutes to arrive but full. If you are in a hurry PLAN AHEAD.

What a beautiful place with a waterfront view from our room. They were doing some renovations when we stayed in 2015. Not all rooms had a waterfront view unfortunately. You need to ask for one. Beautiful pool with a bar. Tennis courts also. They also have a marina which accommodates large boats and yachts. No room service but had a deli within walking distance. There is a Bed and Breakfast option with the suites which can go up to $489/night(depending on bed size and number of people). Valet parking which is handy but pricey. Expensive but worth it(recommend trying some of the booking websites for lower prices). Would definitely go back!

Great location right across from the beach and walking distance to lots of restaurants. Shopping is a 5 minute drive away. The hotel is nice with clean rooms. The rooftop pool is really my spot....where the bar is! Try the cucumber cooler drink, it's so refreshing on a hot day!

Great location. Beautiful views. Friendly staff. The hotel is great, however it could use an update or refreshing in the rooms as they look a bit worn out and dated. It is perfect for pre and post Cruisers.

Great location, good food but expensive. Of the four nights two required a call to get the room cleaned and new towels. Front desk agreed this was poor service, refused to give a reduction in the room, but gave a $50 credit for breakfast. This did not cover the cost of the breakfast buffet for two

We arrived at the hotel at 10:20 AM with no expectations of getting a room, their check in time is 4PM. However they checked us in and told us to leave our phone number and that as soon as a room becomes available they would text us.

So we left and spent a few hours around the city waiting for the text. At 3:45 PM we arrived back at the hotel, and got back in line to ask about the room. In front of us there were 2 couples that just arrived at the hotel checking in, both got rooms right away. We get to the front of the line and ask about our room and guess what? They still don't have a room available for us. How the hell is that possible, when they, in front of me, gave two rooms to couples that just arrived at the hotel. So 5 hours after we checked in our room was still not ready and we had to wait another 20 mins for the room.

They definitely don't have a first come first serve policy. If you arrive early you should keep checking in with the front desk until you get a roomy otherwise they will forget about you.

-3 stars for service and management.
Room is ok and the hotel location is good, right by the broadwalk.

Where do I start? I would compare to a motel 6 or red roof inn. Our ac broke and it took them90 min to get to us in south Florida heat. We had to move rooms with 2 little kids. Upon arriving in room we found a used wash cloth with pubic hair on it left in bath tub area. Our whole floor smelled with marijuana from The people in adjacent room. I ve stayed at a lot of Hilton properties and this place is the worst. Drywall cracks showing. Holes in building in multiple places. And the pool, well let s just say it s a joke!

Tied up to get a stabilizer fixed. While that was going on we ate upstairs at the pool deck. Food was average, but the service was great The property is really old and it shows, but they do keep the property clean.

Stayed for our anniversary weekend. Upon arrival the hotel seemed like a nice place. Any review that mentions the long wait time to check in is completely accurate. There were two girls at the front desk, I chose the closest line to me and there was someone in the other line waiting as well. When the young lady in the line I chose finished first, she told me to wait and assisted someone else. However, when the other lady was done helping the guest, she didn't bother helping me from the other line she waited on the new guest that arrived. Then she went to break leaving me to go behind someone else again. We arrived at 445p, we didn't get into a room until roughly 6p. When I entered the hotel lobby I noticed a huge bubble on the upper wall. We booked for a partial ocean view with a king bed and I requested a high floor. I was told by the receptionist that only king available was on the 3rd floor but she could put us in double beds on the 14th floor. I told her that my concerns were with the towering palm trees but we would settle. We were placed on the marina side in a secondary building. When we went to open the door, there was a couple fighting like animals across the hall. I immediately returned, told her we would just take the two double beds, and what my issues were with the first room. She told me it wasn't an issue and she assigned us room 1414, she wrote out the drink cards, and started activating the keys. I said wow then told her a story about the significance of the date and she said well I hope you enjoy your stay here. Before handing over the cards she said "actually I can't give you that room." I will have to move you down a few floors. That's when we were assigned to room 700. It was the absolute worst ever. When we exited the elevator there was a strong gaseous smell on the floor, when went into the room, didn't smell it any longer, and just settled. I went back downstairs to let her know I was not satisfied still and she just offered to waive the resort fee. I didn't want them waived, I wanted a decent room with the oceanview. Only thing you could see was the boats in the marina, a garbage can down below, a drop off of water with garbage down below, and a white wall to the right. Bed linens and towels were clean. However, that bathtub was absolutely disgusting. It has a yellow and brown ring in the bottom. I sprayed bleach and lysol to remove it. Lastly, upon checking out this morning. I called downstairs to get a cart and was told I could come get it. We checked out and I asked for a receipt, then resort fees were there. I told the receptionist that the charges were wrong and the lady from check-in stated she would waive the fees. She said "welp there's no note here." I rebutted that I'm not surprised and started telling her every issue we had. She cut me off and said no need to go one, I'll make a note, and waive it. I always steer clear of Hilton brand hotels and I just remembered why, never again.

Hotel is pretty nice and I like the gym/fitness area. 4 stars because how the heck am I supposed to work on this little table.

I got to my room and before I could unpack I noticed... no desk.. I thought maybe my room was special so I called the desk and asked for a room with a desk and they said there are no desks. Every room has a small table with a chair to work on. Better than nothing but with no outlet nearby, no desk light and very little space to work I m gonna stay somewhere else next business trip. Good for vacay but not for business.

Everything was perfect until the next morning. The elevators are way too slow for a resort of this size, the parking should not be so expensive when you are already charging extra fees for everything and there is no complimentary breakfast. The wait to eat was over an hour and getting service was a joke until check out time at 11 when all the employees came to help with the rush. Overall not worth the money I spent but the beds were soft so that was the only saving grace. I was forced to walk down 11 flights of stairs with luggage because of the elevator situation

If I could give this dump a - star rating I would. 47 years old I travel a lot and this was the worst hotel I ve ever stayed in. Where do I start? Elevator didn t work, food was horrible 34 bucks for pancakes, smelled like a out house , toilets backed up rented a cabana at the pool and it ripped apart , room didn t get cleaned , they ran out of ice at the pool out. Just when I thought it couldn t get worse it did. Saturday night after a wedding we got back to no water, power and no air conditioning. Do not ever stay here !

The place is great, staff is really nice and helpful. Only issue is our TV. The remote and buttons on the TV really lag so changing channels/adjusting volume is extremely difficult. TV now won't turn on but they are sending maintenance to come check on it.

My friend and I went to the Bahia Mar for the location and reviews.

Our flight arrived early, so I figured our room wouldn't be ready yet, but the hotel held our luggage and said they would text us when a room became available. This was 10:30 am. They informed us that 'guaranteed' check-in was 4 pm, but that they would keep us posted.

At noon we checked back in to see if a room had become available. We were told the same thing by the same woman. We then asked to see the pool. She gave us a key card that got us into the pool (or at least, I assume, but since they leave the pool gate open we never actually checked) but when we tried to get back the way we came, the key card wouldn't let us back in the hotel. We ended up getting stuck in a hallway for about 15 minutes.

We go and kill some more time. Finally at 4:06 pm we got our text that our room was ready. Really? That was the FIRST room available?! That was pretty disappointing since we wanted to lay on the beach but that would have required fully unpacking our suitcases in the hotel lobby. So instead we walked around in jeans in the 80 degree weather.

That evening we wanted to order some food to our room. When we couldn't locate a menu we called down to the front desk. After 25 rings someone picked up. We asked if there was room service and if so if they could provide a menu. We were told there was, for a $10 charge, but we would have to go down to the front desk to look at their menu. They couldn't bring one up.

The next day we called down to the front desk. We had to call about 8 times before someone answered because it kept hanging up on us. Finally, someone answered and we requested an extra towel. We're still waiting for it to be delivered and we've been home for a few days now.

Overall not what I would expect from a Hilton. Very disappointing. You think when you spend almost $350 a night they would acknowledge your existence. It didn't appear to be any busier than any other weekend. I will not be staying there again and I would suggest you don't either.

We stayed in the older portion of the hotel and it was definitely the OLDER portion of the hotel. The elevator was smelly, the room's bathroom was small, the door didn't shut all the way, the sink didn't drain and the shower knob looked like it was ready to fall off.
Staff were friendly and accommodating but the hotel was old and not what I expected as a Hilton Honors guest.

The staff was overall very kind and personable, and would make every effort necessary to fulfill guests' needs. The rooms were mediocre in my opinion, the door to the first room I was in did not close, but staff was quick to move us to a room with a better view instead, but in both the shower valve was not intuitive and needed to be wiggled from side to side to actually turn on, and there was limited space for hanging towels, but the TV was good, beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of drawer space along with a small refrigerator.
