Room was busted up, bathroom in need of new parts, scolding hot water or freezing cold, very cheap hotel for what you pay. The bartender at the lounge was nice, the front desk lady gave us hassle, just not work6 the price. Can't find elevator to separate portion of hotel, I can go on for hours.

Great location with pedestrian bridge from hotel directly to beach. The hotel is walking distance to the water taxi as well as great restaurants and shops. A convenience store located adjacent to property. Slightly older hotel but the room was immaculate and roomy with a great view of the ocean and marina. Great, friendly restaurant on site as well. The only small complaint was the extremely strong perfumed scent in the lobby which bothered my allergies a bit but no big deal. BUT, above all...the Bahia Mar saved my vacation from becoming a complete disaster. Took the hotel shuttle to the port for a cruise. Upon getting to security, I realized I left my purse in the shuttle. After a frantic call to the concierge person, she promptly acted and managed to quickly contact driver who immediately returned to the port for me. Purse was exactly where I left it untouched. Went on to enjoy a worry-free vacation. Needless to say, I would strongly recommend this property.

Bed Bugs!!! My boyfriend and I woke up in the middle of the night with itchy bumps all over us. We filed a complaint with Hilton, which then the hotel is responsible for investigating and getting back to the individual. Three months passed and I called the manager myself after Hilton was unable to get a hold of him. He claimed the investigation was already done and no bed bugs were found. Hilton was never notified and was unable to do anything for me considering bed bugs are an individual hotel issue. I've found two other reviews like this online with a similar story of the manager saying the inspector cleared the room, but guests have experienced/witnessed bed bugs in the hotel. Please be aware of this issue and be careful while staying here.

Friendly staff. Room was old and in need for some love. We just used this hotel for one night as we as a transition from flight to cruise. We chose it mostly for its beach access. They really made the right choice building a pedestrian bridge over the (very busy) roadway.

My review won't be unbiased because when we stayed here I was sick. We booked a room here for after we got off our eastern Caribbean cruise that I caught a cold on the last few days. The place was nice but seemed updated/old. Didn't seem worth the rather large price for 1 night. We got there early and couldn't check in yet. We hung out at the "closed" pool until they opened and we could get a cabana. The restrooms at the pool were old and dirty, and you had to go through the gym to use them. Not convenient for a large pool with lots of people. The food at the pool restaurant was blah, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess. After hours sweating at the pool we were finally able to check into our ocean view room. The room like the hotel was old/updated. The good thing for me we that the room was quiet and the a/c worked good. I was able to get some rest before our 7 a.m. flight. My wife got me a samich from the hotel store. You would think a samich that cost $9 would be tasty but I think a gas station samich would have been fresher. I do keep in mind that I was sick and I'm sure my experience would have been better if I was healthy. If there is a next time I think I'll spend my money at a Marriott or similar, they were cheaper.

Stayed there just last week..arrived from overseas flight..First question on this site...Is there a shuttle to the hotel..Answer- Yes..WRONG..NO SHUTTLE AVAILABLE..Room temp was freezing..no supply of heat..shower facility frail almost about to fall apart..Service ok but phone calls forever until they get answered..direction to our room across from main building not explained well..BEST of all a cookie and a bottle of water..but you need a token for this..Not pleased..

Service and response to guest requirement is very low. I had to call down to the front desk 3 times just to get wash cloth, towels and pillows for our room. Housekeeping did not come and make up bed or empty trash. Room was only supplied with half a roll and one of toilet paper; we had to call for more. Cost of regular buffet breakfast is very over price.
