We arrived yesterday and discovered our upstairs unit was not cooling properly. We called the service number and were told that a service person would be out the following morning. Jeff Walton arrived, determined our problem and had us back to cooling in about 30 minutes. A part has to be ordered but Jeff left us with the unit working until the part comes in . Came last week and didn't fix the AC came this week said will fix next week but then said will be back in a day or two,he said he fixed it so it will run till he comes back .lol if it would run he wouldn't have to come back been coming to OBX for 57 yrs if you can't fix it say so so they will call someone who will

I contacted R. A. Hoy to have the AC unit replaced in our house. Got in touch with their sales person Dave Butler. Dave took care of me right away, he sent me the price and agreement via email. The unit was installed the next Saturday. He was very accommodating for the installation date as it only could be done for us during the renters change over time. It worked out perfectly. The job was professionally done, the technicians were also very professional and easy to work with.
It was a seamless experience of having the new AC unit put in, thanks to Dave and his team at R. A. Hoy.

I have been a customer of Hoy for 35 years. They respond promptly to my concerns and they honor their warranties.
Both our AC units shut down during the most resent heat wave and tropical storm. RA Hoy respondied quickly to diagnose the problem and give us an honest assessment and options. We opted to replace both units with Trane product s and have been very happy we went with Hoy. Given the scheduling around the storm due to flooding they put us on a priority and we were back in our home a day after the storm. Two crews were brought in to get the job done. Installers Were knowledgeable, professional and completed the job In one day. They were neat, maintained safety guidelines at all times and we couldn t ask for a better experience.

R.A. Hoy has a team of people that are absolutely outstanding! Dave Butler is the person I dealt with initially, coming to my house in order to provide an estimate for air duct cleaning. He was thorough; knowledgeable and fully explained the process. On the day of the work, Austin and Dalton came to the house to not only clean the air ducts, but also install the Decon 7 systems to both of my HVAC units. They were here for 8 hours and worked very hard! Their attention to detail and amazing work ethic was greatly appreciated by me! R.A. Hoy provides great customer service and always responds in a timely manner. Jeff is the technician that conducts my maintenance every 6 months and he is amazing also! These 4 gentlemen are an absolute credit to R.A. Hoy and take pride in their jobs! Best in their business and I highly recommend them!
I had them install a mini split system 10 years ago, and never heard from them again. No service contract, nothing. 9 years in it failed, post warranty. I called All Season Heating and Cooling to take care of it. Never will I use R. A. Got again
We have received nothing but exceptional service from R.A. Hoy over the past 6 years. We own a rental property in Kill Devil Hills on the ocean and the HVAC system takes a beating. They are quick to respond which is essential in taking care of rental guests. The staff is courteous and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone especially if you are a property owner and do no live close by. You can depend on them to take care of any issues timely, and you can sleep worry-free!

Jeff W. - YOU ARE DA BOMB! We have a home in the 4 X 4 area in Corolla. Jeff W. has been servicing our heating and air conditioning systems(3) since the house was built in 2007. Not easy to get to, that is up the beach , but this guy always comes and always has a smile on his face! Jeff W. Is a true professional and if he happens to be off on a certain day - we reschedule just so he can perform the service. He is a great guy, knows his HVAC stuff and has become a friend who is very much trusted. He will always do the right thing, even if it means coming back up the beach to get it right and finish the job!

From start to finish I have had such a great experience with RA Hoy HVAC. I recently purchased a house in Duck, NC and they had installed the last system. When I called to inquire about their service plans for maintenance, Marcy was kind enough to advise me to complete the paperwork with Trane to transfer the system warranties. I never would have known to do that. I spoke with Michael next who looked up and emailed me the current warranties and walked me through how to transfer it with Trane. He also explained their service plans and sent me a quote as promised. I decided to sign up for the service plan and JK came out to do my first service. He was so professional and thorough. He was here for well over an hour and found a clogged condenser issue that he resolved for no charge (included with the service plan). Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I m a fan!

I am a property manager for a homeowner who purchased a new system from R. A. Hoy in April of 2016. The system had to be replaced immediately and there have been continual repairs which they have been charged for instead of warranting their workmanship. These homeowners are extremely disappointed with the service they have been given and will not be using them in the future.

I called on Monday 5/6 to get an estimate to have my HVAC system replaced. I was told id get a call the next day. Of as of today Friday 5/10 i still have not gotten a call back so called the office to see when i was going to get contacted Mitch offered to give me the salespersons phone number so I could he would not call salemans and tell him to call me and set up an appointment . I am mot impressed with their customer service if this is how the treat prospective customers makes one wonder how they treat you after the installhow they treat

Setting up the appointment was easy, customer service was good. However the technician was not fully knowledgeable about my system (geothermal pump and dump system) and told me he was not touching my system until I contacted a well technician due to my yard being wet. I talked to 2 of them including one very respected local technician and couldn't even get one to come out because it was normal operation. I still recieved a $100 bill from this company for diagnostic services although the technician did not do any service. Tried to call the office regarding this situation to negotiate a resolution with a promise of a manager to call back. I never recieved a call, just another invoice in the mail instead. I'm hoping my situation is outside of the ordinary, but I had a much better experience with their competition.
