Great place but be prepaired for big crowds on weekends and school holidays.
Great place but be prepaired for big crowds on weekends and school holidays.
Cafe sold out of many food items by 130 in school holidays. Menu very limited, no healthy choices. Why renovate main cafe during school holidays.
Great exhibits, friendly staff, and fantastic shows
Interesting place. Kids love it here. Good for the mind and body (with all the walking you have to do)
Really good interactive things for the kids to play and also learn. Get here early because after around 11 in the school holidays, it gets packed and its hard to get a decent go of the experiments.
Awesome time had by us all. Fun, interesting, educational. Spent 5 hours here, could easily have been more.
Perfect place for a good day of science or a great night of photography.
An amazing venue, very engaging exhibits, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed using and very informative shows. Overall a thoroughly good science museum.
3rd visit, first time was as a student, second was with my wife and the last recently was with my son and wife, very hands on and informative, great for kids especially the smaller kids section. Could have easily spent so much more time in there if we had it.
An Exelllent school excursion destination and family friendly. Easy layout with plenty to do for all.
Haven't been in 10yrs but was a bit disappointed as what I considered the best exhibits are now gone. The earthquake simulator, rollercoaster simulator and guillotine all gone.
Still a great visit for kids but I feel there's now less for the "big kids" to enjoy.
Always so much to do and you can never get through it all before your parking ticket runs out
I had quite an amazing experience. It was fun and the gift shop was really divers. Would go again.
I love this place. Full of fun learning science activities
Twas the night of blah blah anyways its god damn good
Great place for kids to enjoy science. Especially the vertical drop, build your own fighter plane, really good science engineering live show.
quite good but not much stuff in canberra. queensland one is better
We took our little one to Baby Q and it was awesome. Super friendly staff. I'm looking forward to going back to check out the rest of the centre. I imagine it gets packed there but there were not too many people when we went.
This is one of the best science education places in the world
always good fun. I would give 5 stars they hadn't of taken away the 360 degree ride.
A great place for kids and adults alike. Well organised with great exhibits and plenty of things to touch and try. Plus great staff who seem genuinely enthusiastic and engaging. Parking is plentiful, even on the public holiday during our visit. The cafe is pretty good too! Put aside 3 hours to see and do everything.
Science exhibitions are often limited by the viewers lack of knowledge - not the exhibit itself. So - when someone complains an exhibit is old and uninteresting - it is because they need to take the time and learn a bit more. Just saying. The sooner you realize you know nothing - the more you will know.... The exhibits at questacon never fail to impress. Especially fond of the lightning strike in the earthquake room - it's alive! Hands on science at its very best. Still on the top ten list of awesome things to do in Canberra (the list may be longer than ten.)
A must visit in Canberra, particularly if you are travelling with kids.
Great for kids and school groups. Cutting edge science interactive displays
Great fun for family with or without young kids. Lots of educative things to do and learn.
Overpriced but its expected for such an awesome place like this!
Lots of things to interact with and a great learning experience especially for younger kids but enjoyable for all ages. Recommended
One of the best Science and Technology center's around. Great for all ages, toddler to adult.
The wonders of science are presented in a fun, interactive way with appeal for all ages. Friendly and enthusiastic attendants can (usually) provide explanations. Periodic changes of display make repeat visits worthwhile.
Questacon was a pretty fun place to visit, but it is aimed at a younger audience. Still, I enjoyed going in and having a look around.
Enjoyed by the whole family, but be warned the queue for tickets can be very long and despite it being 2015 there is no online ticketing system.
Must do when in Canberra, I have been here with my children so many times as the themes and activities constantly change.
10/10. If you love science or not, Questacon is till AMAZING not like other museums, it s completely interactive. Great fun for the whole family. You can verse a robot in air hockey, drop from a giant slide, change the way you see colours and way more! I really love this place
Great place to take the children. Very educational and fun
Great place to spend hours of fun, particually with the kids.
Although lacking in adult attractions we still found it fascinating even after we were over run by kids.
Very well airconditioned given the size and shape of the building.
Plenty of options for snacks and drinks
My kids love the place. Expansive but they love it.
Spend a whole day here easily. Great fun for adults and kids. Education they don't even realise they're getting. It's all so exciting and hands on.
Amazing place with so much to do, see, learn... Fun! Very friendly staff too.
That was the most interesting place i have been to for along time recommend people to see
One of the top attractions here in Canberra. It's such a fun & interactive experience for all ages. Good value and a day goes by so quickly here!
No where near as exciting as they make out. Nothing hands on for the kid's to do. Complete waste of money for me
Questacon is always a good day out with the kids, lots of interactive exhibits for everyone to enjoy and a great variety of food from their cafe. Staff are very friendly and do their best to help make it that little bit extra fun.
A place to learn with. Good for kids and adults who want to learn.
Kids love it and the adults learn something new too
It was an amazing learning experience and all kids enjoy what they have for offer as there are so many exhibits
One of the must go place in Canberra, where science and fun combined in one place. Recommended for kids.
Great place, but too expensive for a family ($70) - given it's a Government owned organisation (isn't it?). For that price they could at least throw in some free parking.
It WAZ vereh science, much dank memes, wood go again, 10/10 IGN Lord Gaben approves. So does Shrek
Questacon is a world class place. Allows hildren and their families to experience STEM exhibits interactively. Highly recommended.
Fabulous experience for the whole family, supported by knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Our whole family had an awesome time here. Budget 3-4 hrs for a visit.
Questacon!!
This place has really cool exhibits that run for a few months and then change it up, and are always improving their current long lasting ones.
You should try check out the shows as well. They are pretty cool, albeit aimed at a young audience for the most part, but they are still informative and definitely enjoyable.
The staff I see here are often quite happy to come and tell you about what you are seeing or help you out.
We spent 5 hours here it was amazing, my 7 years had the time of his life.
Great interactive science museum in a premier location in the parliamentary triangle. The yearly membership is good value of you live in the area.
It is amazing. How ever they were letting 3 year olds on the free fall slide.
Very fun place to take the kids and family. It is very educational and it makes learning fun! Entrance fee is a bit pricey but the experience from it is awesome!
Was so much to do and see, didn't have time to fit it all in
Long queues for ticketing. There should be online ticket purchases available to skip the queues. Amex contactless not accepted but Android Pay over VISA works on Verifone vx690 (St George) terminal.
