A giant indoor for both adult and children. A lot of activities and talk to spark everyone's interests in science and they offer mini Q for the under 6 (35 minutes session only). Ensure you come early and purchase the tickets online if possible, as queue to purchase tickets at the entrance is very slow. We recommend the Rocket #101 presentation. It was very presented in a light and funny way.

We loved it. The kids liked the slide-jump (6m high!) and the flashing gallery.
There were no cups available (the ones that fly in the jet of air), which was a bit disappointing, considering the $70 family ticket.
The presentation on the missions in space was great.

The location is amazing. The exhibits are modern and highly engaging. The cafe is average. The entry fees are very expensive, however if you have a powerhouse membership the entry is free.

Questacon itself was fantastic - too bad my great experience was somewhat ruined by a parking ticket - neither myself not my wife noticed the pay for parking sigh when we arrived - I guess being unfortunate tourists we were too fixated on the building and where to go... costing us an additional $140 in top off the $70 family entry - greedy council!

This place is fabulous! The cloud chamber is absolutely glorious and I wish I could spend all day there just watching it! The Tesla coil is really cool and all the other interactive experiments are great for little and big kids. Recommend a visit or several for anyone visiting Canberra! You'll definitely learn something new and have a great time!

Tickets are $70 per family that includes parents and 3 children. Concession is $17 and single adult $23.
I think the place has potential for more exhibition. Current exhibition were okay but not a wow factor. Most display were basic that you would learn in high school.
The most exciting part was the nikola tesla electric current that displayed the elclectrical lightening. The lightening occurred evry 15 minute and the periodic table display.

Really enjoyed the Mars Exhibit with my 5 year old. Very impressed by the staff who put this on and we had a great time. Always a great time at Questacon even in the current COVID world where the rest of the centre is not open as usual.

Questacon is a place where everyone gets excited about science..the 8 galleries in the building provides enthusiasm and also questions the logic of young and old alike...I was really excited about the moon exhibit as well as the hayabusa 2 project to the ryugu asteroid...it s definitely a place in Canberra to be visited

Loved it! Could spend an entire day here. Staff were very helpful and those running the exhibits were amazingly knowledgeable and genuinely involved in making you enjoy and n part of the learning. Very hands-on which is wonderful when you have 2 young enthusiastic boys. Cafe is good, amenities super clean and a good amount of space to spread out and have lunch. Would highly recommend you visit, especially.with young and older children.

Probably the #1 attraction in Canberra (specially if you have young kids). It's the only place in Canberra which can make me visit the city again. It has ample parking which is free one weekends and public holidays. Do plan for at least 5-6 hours (or even a full day) if you visit this place. There is a cafe which offers decent food choices at reasonable price.

Questacon is a great place for anyone of all ages. We enjoyed the liquid nitrogen show and explored the exhibits. There were so many school children about that it didn't limit the overall experience but I'd still recommend as a place to visit.

Super fun for all the family, from little ones right through to Grandparents! Learn lots in a hands on way, volunteers and staff all VERY helpful and patient with the kids. On many occasions thet took lots of time to explain concepts so my kids could underatand. We will be going back again!

I thought there would have been more interactivity, as in science class where you do experiments and at the completion you gain an understanding of exactly how something works due to the experiment results
