This is a great place to bring the kids. Our granddaughters love it! And they range in age from 3 to 10. There's something for everyone!

A giant indoor for both adult and children. A lot of activities and talk to spark everyone's interests in science and they offer mini Q for the under 6 (35 minutes session only). Ensure you come early and purchase the tickets online if possible, as queue to purchase tickets at the entrance is very slow. We recommend the Rocket #101 presentation. It was very presented in a light and funny way.
MiniQ and Tinkering lab are fun. Can easily spend 3-4hours at Questacon.
Amazing place for kids and adults alike. The biggest reason to visit Canberra
We loved it. The kids liked the slide-jump (6m high!) and the flashing gallery.
There were no cups available (the ones that fly in the jet of air), which was a bit disappointing, considering the $70 family ticket.
The presentation on the missions in space was great.
First visit to Questacon and was amazing. We enjoyed the experiments and interacting with the robots. Lunch was reasonably priced too
The location is amazing. The exhibits are modern and highly engaging. The cafe is average. The entry fees are very expensive, however if you have a powerhouse membership the entry is free.
Questacon itself was fantastic - too bad my great experience was somewhat ruined by a parking ticket - neither myself not my wife noticed the pay for parking sigh when we arrived - I guess being unfortunate tourists we were too fixated on the building and where to go... costing us an additional $140 in top off the $70 family entry - greedy council!
This place is fabulous! The cloud chamber is absolutely glorious and I wish I could spend all day there just watching it! The Tesla coil is really cool and all the other interactive experiments are great for little and big kids. Recommend a visit or several for anyone visiting Canberra! You'll definitely learn something new and have a great time!
Interesting and very hands on exhibits. Great place for the kids!
Great for ages 6 and up. Learn something new with every visit...and the rocket show is hilarious!
Tickets are $70 per family that includes parents and 3 children. Concession is $17 and single adult $23.
I think the place has potential for more exhibition. Current exhibition were okay but not a wow factor. Most display were basic that you would learn in high school.
The most exciting part was the nikola tesla electric current that displayed the elclectrical lightening. The lightening occurred evry 15 minute and the periodic table display.
Pretty good entertainment and education for kids off all ages
Amazing place to take kids of all ages. The shows are fantastic and staff are wonderful.
Always a family favorite, great for the cold season
Really enjoyed the Mars Exhibit with my 5 year old. Very impressed by the staff who put this on and we had a great time. Always a great time at Questacon even in the current COVID world where the rest of the centre is not open as usual.
My 1 year old & 4 year old sons stuck at Mini Q for hours! The free fall slide is great for adults.
Friendly staff. Engaging and interactive. A must while visiting the Nations Capital.
My son loves this place. Anyplace that inspires curiosity is a good thing.
Exciting exhibition with interactive objects, also very suitable for children
The Mars experience was very informative and interesting and all the staff were fantastic. Will be great when restrictions are over and we can experience the whole Questacon.
Loved this place as a kid and loved it again as an adult. Loads of interactive exhibits.
Always mind opening, great for kids and adults alike.
Questacon is a place where everyone gets excited about science..the 8 galleries in the building provides enthusiasm and also questions the logic of young and old alike...I was really excited about the moon exhibit as well as the hayabusa 2 project to the ryugu asteroid...it s definitely a place in Canberra to be visited
What a great place for the Kids... Loads to do and Interact with. A definate must if your are visiting Canberra
Great layout of building, Great displays especially Nitrogen Show. Cafe service good .
5 yr and 6yr old loved it. Even learnt some things.
I absolutely loved it ! Thought it was a great place to go for the day :) great for all ages , kids will love it haha. The price you pay is worth it as there s so many interactive items for you to do . Staff were very friendly and helpful with tips on the place.
Would definitely recommend if your down in Canberra and are looking for something fun to do for the day .
Loved it! Could spend an entire day here. Staff were very helpful and those running the exhibits were amazingly knowledgeable and genuinely involved in making you enjoy and n part of the learning. Very hands-on which is wonderful when you have 2 young enthusiastic boys. Cafe is good, amenities super clean and a good amount of space to spread out and have lunch. Would highly recommend you visit, especially.with young and older children.
Recommend indeed, special on school holidays it's fun and learning.
A must go see when in Canberra especially if you have children
I love this place! I'll be coming back over and over again!
Went today with my mother and a small child. Given the current circumstances of covid it was really well done. The staff were great with the children and extremely polite.
Good place for kids to learn n explore the interesting about sciences
Only a few new exhibits from when i was last there over 7 years ago. A lot of the older displays were broken and non fuctional as well
This place is awesome, great for all ages (even adults!)
Best Science museum in the country. A must for kids.
Kids had a great time, 3 hours for 2, 4 & 6 year old was perfect.
So much fun!!! Went here with group of friends in our 20's and we had so much fun. Really is great no matter what age.
Don't leave until you've done the slide!
Great place for kids and adults to engage in Science.
Probably the #1 attraction in Canberra (specially if you have young kids). It's the only place in Canberra which can make me visit the city again. It has ample parking which is free one weekends and public holidays. Do plan for at least 5-6 hours (or even a full day) if you visit this place. There is a cafe which offers decent food choices at reasonable price.
One of the Canberra highlights. 2 hours were not enough, need to come back. Entertainment for the whole family
I loved it,It was a good way to teach people but also it was fun
they are doing a great job around covid. always fun to be had here
Great fun! Lots of cool science experiments but where's the earthquake house? Wish it was still there but other than that it was fun!
Questacon is a great place for anyone of all ages. We enjoyed the liquid nitrogen show and explored the exhibits. There were so many school children about that it didn't limit the overall experience but I'd still recommend as a place to visit.
Super fun for all the family, from little ones right through to Grandparents! Learn lots in a hands on way, volunteers and staff all VERY helpful and patient with the kids. On many occasions thet took lots of time to explain concepts so my kids could underatand. We will be going back again!
I had such an awesome time there !! Even if you ho without children, it's a brillant delight to take part in. Definitely bring friends, its the kind of thing groups are made for.
Great place to take the kids. Good way to show science is fun. Top knotch service worth the money.
Ill be taking the kids back there soon.
Recommend.
Excellent attractions, hands on and no better place for kids to learn all about the wonderful world we live in!
Kids had a blast. Lady running the experiments on 24/08/18 at about 430pm was amazing and worked wonderfully with the kids.
Easily the coolest science museum type thing I have ever been to. Very professionally done, and much bigger than Brisbane's Science Centre.
Amazing selection of exhibits, great fun for all ages (not just kids!), and great staff that really love their job.
I thought there would have been more interactivity, as in science class where you do experiments and at the completion you gain an understanding of exactly how something works due to the experiment results
Can bring children, it is fun enough to play a day. Came here for lunch and ordered kids pasta + chips for only 6.5 portions, which is the same as for adults, and it is almost half cheaper.
It is the most interesting museum style exhibit that I have ever been to, the food there is great, and everything is easy to find.
All of the exhibits are fantastic
Very hands on. The kids would love it. So much to do.
Great for learning and bringing children. Excellent facilities.
