Some staff, like Kevin, were very obliging, attentive and helpful.. Others had no idea, how to provide a decent service to a corporate group, and Branden was not only unhelpful, but rude.
Bathrooms in bedrooms were not cleaned in the 3 nights we stayed, litter lay around the grounds and terrace, despite requests for it to be removed, the coffee was an affront. The list is endless.

Came here to play golf. The greens and tee boxes were very average. Stopped in the hotel bar after the round for a bite to eat. It was overpriced and average quality. I wouldn't return

Unfortunately I have to say as I find. And to be honest I would not recommend this hotel.
Finding pubic hairs on the walls in the sink and on the walls in the bath area.
Human waste on the toilet seat.
The carpets are thread bare to the extent you are walking on the strings in the carpet.
There are cobwebs across the back of the bed between the light fittings.
In addition the carpets had not been vacuumed this was evidenced by food debris on the floor.
Not what I would expect to find in any hotel

Very friendly staff, good sized rooms, good golf course(s - 27 holes in total). No aircon however so room was very hot (early July), and golf course could have been in better condition (greens especially) - however both of these issues are due to exceptionally hot weather. Food and drink good quality and value, overall definitely recommended.

I enjoyed my visit. My room was very large, clean, with good bath. One of the linens was not as clean as I had hoped. SPA was closed during the time I was there, but I didn't know before getting there. The surrounding is beautiful and very calm. Nice remote place to forget about the real life and relax for a bit.

I bought my partner a spa day, we had to argue to get the full 2 treatments that I had prepaid but at least they evenyually agreed to honour that commitment, generally the spa was ok except that she got her nails "done", they were sold on the nail treatment, gels and a massage, after an hour and a half they had managed to do the nails so badly they had to be redone elsewhere the next day, the massage it appears was optional as she didn't get one despite wanting one and she only got a partial refund as she doesn't like to complain, when she got home quite upset about the shoddy appearance of her nails I called to seek a resolution, unfortunately there was no-one with authority running the spa when I called and they haven't bothered to call me back. My advice, pay after the treatment if you get one, if it's worth paying for.
It's a shame as I understand that mistakes happen and if there had been a modicum of decent customer service this could have been a much better review.

One night stay for relaxation purposes. Unfortunately the leisure facilities were cramped and we could not find a bed to lay on. The pool and poolside is very tired looking and small. I thought the etiquette , at a spa was for relaxation and quiet. However, there were a group of very loud ladies who had obviously been drinking . The food in The Lakes restaurant was fantastic and alot of choice for breakfast. Staff and rooms very good. I won't be returning sorry. Lesley

The hotel is situated away from the nearest main town of Daventry close to the village of Hellidon.
The rooms are clean and comfortable the food we had was well presented and cooked well.
The staff were very helpful and friendly .
The only thing that let's it down a bit is the swimming pool.
The pool is showing its age and to get to it from the changing rooms you have to walk down a rather cold coridoor so take your towel with you.
I have been told however there are plans to build a new pool this would really help.
All in all though an enjoyable stay

Booked a spa day for my wife and I with lunch included.
First of all nobody manning the spa reception so had to walk to the main reception and back.
Once we'd checked in went for a swim only to be met with kids and parent splashing around in the pool(not relaxing at all)
Also the pool area was dirty and dated/worn out.
The only saving grace was the kids weren't allowed in the jacuzzi so at least that was something.
The lunch was actually really tasty though we only had a window of 30 minutes to eat it as our massages were booked in back to back. We had to ask a waitress where it was as we were pushed for time and left us only 15 minutes to eat before we had to leave, we didn't even have time for our pudding.
The massage was very good also.
Lovely reception and good service.
We returned to the lobby to eat our puddings then left.
Overall not much of a relaxing spa day we'd hoped for. Wouldn't return.

We went as a group of golfers for a Sunday night driver package. Rooms clean food ok. Golf course very wet and muddy. We all thought the the course should have been closed. Thankfully nobody slipped over.

Booked superior room that when entered had a view of nothing and seating had grubby stains on it. Ended up with a standard room , no complaints with this room ( room with view of course was requested when making booking) superior room was definitely not 4 star.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hellidon Lakes, I am a novice golfer and the courses offer a range of challenges, all in a stunning setting. The courses were never too busy so we did not feel pressured at any time. I stayed for one night and found the hotel and bedroom immaculate. Staff are very helpful. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

It would be the perfect place to go if you was a golf enthusiast, beautiful scenery, a lovely 18 hole golf course, but I went for a wedding weekend, that was held there, I found it very expensive.

Beautiful grounds, peaceful and friendly helpful staff. OK size gym and small pool. Need a new cleaner as a lot of cobwebs on windows and coffee cups and machine need better cleaning. Overall pleased with the place and relaxing

Four of us stayed here for my birthday and we had a very relaxing time at this clean and cosy hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite the heavy snow weather and limited staff on one night, it didn't feel like they were stretched and maintained great service. The meals we had were beautifully presented and they even offered alternate vegetarian options. The buffet breakfast had a good range of cooked items, fruit and breads. There was plenty to do including ten-pin bowling (not skittles) and unlimited use of the pool/jacuzzi/steam room/gym.

Relaxing getaway. Nice food, good service, good spa treatments and approachable price. The room was also clean and tidy. The Hotel requires renovation on swimming pool area. Steam room not working the day we stayed. Friendly staff in general. Rude receptionist on our check out time. Misunderstanding with prices while we were told that late check out was 10 pounds until 14.00pm it turned out it was 10pounds/hr until 14.00pm. The person that told us this was not there on our check out time (probably the one from the night shift) the day receptionist stated that she heard her other colleague telling us that it was 10pounds/hr. Anyway I don't think it was a bad experience. I would suggest it for a day maybe.
