Good evening - a bit of bowling, good meal and all in our party enjoyed the evening.

Hotel aged. Nice view. Restaurant and pleasant staff

Wasn't staying at the hotel but staff where friendly. We came in for a bite to eat as our hotel was not serving food off a menu only buffet and wasn't a fan. The food choices where fine with some local products. The bar area was quiet but had a few weddings in the hotel in hall areas so occasionally had people walking in and out but all fine. The funny thing was obviously by a lake when someone came in through the patio doors a frog followed and took staff a little while to chase it out was rather amusing

The wife loved the spa massage.
Decent golf course, decor a bit dated outside but nice inside and friendly staff.

Went for a friend's birthday & all the staff really made it very special in every way they could. Thank you very much for an amazing weekend. Will definitely come again

Stunning views over the golf course. Nice and peaceful. Spent a bit of time in the gym. Gym looks tired but some renovations on the way. Bar & pool too.

Was at my friend's wedding the staff were lovely and friendly. Food was nice.

Good course, worth the cost of a buggy if you don't like uneven terrain. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Have stayed there many times over 15 years .always very friendly

Attended a IMechE training day at this venue. Very nice location and excellent food. Recommended.

Location was nice. Room was tidy and clean. TV was too small and in the corner. Shower facilities were average and bath was quite small. The spa treatment area was good: quiet and friendly and had a nice massage. The gym was well kitted out with weights and machines. The pool/jacuzzi area was OK but a bit drab/old. Steam room wasn't working. Good views of the golfing range. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely setting in the countryside, friendly staff and good quality room.

First impressions of the hotel are :- Amazing , lovely scenery and surroundings are beautiful.
Step inside and it really does needs a total revamp, the bedroom furniture is outdated, bed mattresses need replaced, i can sleep anywhere and had a sleepless night.
Restaurant food was nice but expensive for what it is, Bar took ages to get served which seems to a common problem.
Breakfast was good but looking forward to staying somewhere else today with a comfy bed

This hotel is dated. The service from the staff is poor for example bring your meal ( which on one occasion was cold and on the other greasy mess ) with no cutlery or condiments. The toilets downstairs near the bar are a disgrace!! Paper towels on the floor, no soap, sinks are dirty and the toilet bowel well!!!

Me and my partner stayed here at the weekend and the hotel and surrounding views are amazing. Room had everything we needed although it was extremely warm even with the fan on. Breakfast was sufficient. Pool, jacuzzi and steam room could be updated some what but otherwise good. Had a great weekend.

Hotel in a beautiful location .. Price on England reasonable .. And even breakfast in English conditions quite decent ...

Facilities need a refresh. Some areas of the room were tired. Very mouldy window frames.

Course very good. Short but tough as rough everywhere and lots of dig legs. Disappointed with hotel as only 1 small understaffed bar open Sat eve...and needs a little attention in places as looking dated

Expensive drinks golf course could be in better condition

Please dont stay at this Hotel, the bedrooms are dated and need of cleaning my TV was stuck in the corner unviewable from the bed we had no hot water for two days. The toasting machine breakfast throws the toast out the back onto the floor and the gym is unsafe with lots of broken eqpt.

The location was beautiful. In country side and very isolated. The rooms were lovely and kept in great condition. The service was exceptional. I could not fault it. All staff were extremely polite and when I had a issue they solved it right away. I would recommend this place to friends and family and would definitely stay again.

Advice to others. LOOK ELSE WHERE

From the start they where very nice and pleasant to deal with all the way upto the wedding. Everything on the day was slightly put back and we assumed it was all rushed because of timing. The ceremony went well and was perfect.

When it came down the the wedding breakfast we where having out desert when the roof inside decided it would leak on us. As a result of this it ruined the top table as it was leaking directly on top of myself (groom) and my new wife. This wasn't just a few droplets this was more then your average power shower.

It's ruined our puddings. Ruined some of the party's presents that we had under the top table. They had to move all of the hand made items we had picked from our top table.

It was at this point we where trying to put on fake smiles. The fact that the pictures for the speeches where spoilt by tea towels and wet floor signs along with the buckets catching water everywhere. The table being shuved back into the back drop. This didn't just spoil our pictures it spoilt our memories.

After an hour of so of the leaking we found out they knew about it for a few days. And at 11am (4h before our leak) they had been told it was still dripping by my new mum on law.

They delayed the evening guests and the disco as they had to move the whole sopping wet LED dance floor we had paid a lot more for.

They done what they wanted and never confirmed anything with me or my bride. They shaved the dance floor right in the corner of the large room which spoilt our 1st dance photos and our cutting of the cake photos.

After all of this and our complaint Hellindon lakes think an acceptable apology with an off of a couple of hundred pounds is fine. The fact we didn't get to use the dance floor for the only reason we paid extra for it the back drop we never got the use of what we wanted. And half of our photos will be ruined by the venues incompetence.

They have 3 breakfast rooms if they had of moved us then the majority of this could of been avoided.

All in all I think it's a shambles and they will not accept there responsibilities as a venue after ruining our wedding day. We received a letter today saying they didn't know about the leak before. Even though all the staff said otherwise. Also my mum in law notified them at 11am wedding morning because she was told the day before about it and it was still leaking.

This could have all been avoided.

The hotel is located in the middle of countryside, surrounded by lakes and the golf course. Views are fantastic.

We were staying for a Christmas party. The food was good and atmosphere great. We were looked after well.

The room was spacious and clean and general hotel facilities very good.

We'll definitely be back to take advantage of the spa facilities and to enjoy the surrounding countryside.

Stayed here when i was attending a wedding. Beautiful place

We were treated to afternoon tea as a group of 4 and had a bit of a mixed experience. There was dispute about the voucher we had been given as a thank you and then we had to wait about 40 minutes. When the tea eventually arrived it was of good quality and nicely presented but at no time did anyone come and ask if we were alright. If we wanted anything we had to go and ask. No top ups of tea were offered. The tea was served in the lounge which was quite pleasant and there were nice flowers on the table, but the upholstery was distinctly worn. Sadly won't rush there again.

Second time, great stay again. Hotel itself may look a little tired in places, but very clean and comfortable. Restaurant is good, but do not expect a culinary surprise. Staff mostly friendly and knowledgeable. Golf courses, the big attraction here, are amazing and challenging. Will return!

Internet was good. Cell phone reception not so. Hotel is really quiet.

A difficult coarse to play lost a fair few balls that's why 4 stars...... But absolutely picturesque!

We went to the wedding fair and it seems a good venue and a very warm welcome

Really well presented and clean and tidy, only down side is the price

When we stayed here we were part of a large group of Keyboard players coming to see and hear a demonstration of Yamaha's new model Genos. The food was good, we provided our own entertainment which was first class and the rooms were clean and well maintained. It was difficult to find as it is in the middle of the countryside but apart from that we had no complaints during our 3 night stay. The staff were very helpful.

Great course, very testing.they have a couple of lanes bowling and a small pool.The massage I had was amazing but the buffet breakfast wasn't that good especially the eggs.all in all enjoyed 8/10

Hotel very clean. room not very well soundproofed: neighbor putting loud music and outdoor air conditioning unit in terrace in front of windows making a loud noise without my earplugs i could not sleep.

too bad that they do not provide an adapter for electrical outlets that we do not think about when we do not go to Britain. So complicated to charge phone and computers.

but it's still a good hotel.

Course was immaculate. Very hilly with spectacular views and a few unique holes.

I went here for an event. Its in a remote area but beautiful surroundings. Hotel was OK, looked quite small from the outside. Toilets were a bit grim, not very modern and looked worn down. Depending on what was agreed by the event organiser, tea/coffee was only provided at the beginning of the event. Not during breaks or throughout the session in case we wanted another cuppa. This then made the bar very busy for getting a drink and food as no snacks were available.

Excellent place. Restaurant food was lovely, room was nice and clean, bar staff were very friendly as was reception. Highly recommended.

Room smells of smoke and basic customer service just isn't available. Who doesn't find out what the soup of the day is?? Sent the Pana cotta back because it was like a bowl of poly filler

Golf course!!!, 9 holes are good value for money. The other 18... cow field. Greens on these two 9's are in diseased state. No signage for where to play next hole. So staying for a wknd no golf would recommend. But with golf, don't get your hopes up. Could be a great venue but needs a lot of work done.

Hellidon Lakes is a stunning location for any event. The golf course is beautiful and HLGC (Hellidon Lakes Golf Club) is a great club made even better by the members. I started playing here as a "Points member" but soon signed up for a full membership once I started playing in the club competitions. A very happy golfer!!

Great looking location with some great conference rooms.

Don't think the service was good at all ,waited at bar for 15 mins for a drink ,no one was serving at all , service at food wasn't much good either ,price too expensive for what you ordered ,at breakfast no butter for toast ,no milk and sugar etc ,had to ask ,person came out with half pound butter on a plate ,overall not worth the money

Lovely hotel, nice course, great food, however breakfast wasnt hot. Recommend the Sunday roast

Service exceptional, room and food great. Spa treatments excellent, spa facilities mediocre.

Had a really great stay. Did find some of the course design a little confusing, better signage would be helpful to find the next tee. We chatted to quite a few groups who were saying the same thing. Dinner was particularly good, above our expectations. The course was very challenging and beautiful. One or two of the greens could use a bit of TLC but appreciate the weather had a part to play there. Would return for sure.

Just back from a hen weekend, beautiful location and staff were so helpful. Nice rooms and lovely food, only negative was the pool area wasn't very big but not a problem for us, also given a conference room at no extra charge to use all day and evening.

Greens are very well kept, sum if the rough was a little too rough but still an enjoyable experience.

Sean from the bar is a legend. Passionate, happy and chatty - never met such a great personality.

Ola and Lisa from Spa gave the best massage to my wife and me.

I would give more stars but unfortunately 5 is the maximum on Google.

We had great stay and can't recommend enough.. Would love to come back again at some point in future.
