It is a very emblematic site of Paris. It is advisable to visit it, however, the value for money (at least from the menu) is not consistent. You pay for the site and the service, which is good, but the food is mediocre.

The historic and philosophical beauty of the Place is a reality but the cuisine is mediocre and expensive and it is a shame

Good sea bass with shrimp and mussels, per wife. I ordered medium rare filet and received well done, hence the lower rating, with okay steak fries and good side salad dressed lightly. Waiter spoke English and was nice enough othwrwise, so not sure why the incorrect order. Okay cappuccino, okay bread. But we get to say we ate at a restaurant almost 300 years older than us. And nice decor--people walk through just to take pics.

Very good and great service

Staff were friendly than expected. The wine recommender recommended something that suits our tastes and made it more satisfying. The sheep came out more than anywhere else. When ordering Half a duck , I think I could have eaten more smoothly without eating it. The sauce with mushrooms is very delicious. It doesn't smell like duck too much. The inside of the building is nice, but I think it's good to try it on the back alley terrace.

Very nice place for a lunch or dinner. Everything is beautiful, the staff is very nice and the dishes are refined. I enjoyed my lunch and plan to return soon.

A step back in time. In a very touristic city it is pleasant to arrive in front of a historical place and stop to look at the shop windows.

I thought to go to Procope and find a nice map of raw coffee. Missed! Nespresso was waiting for you. Something that can be done at home cheaply. So we fall back on a tea. I ordered a jasmine tea, I ended up with something else in the cup. Well, that said the restaurant is beautiful ... But this is only the only good point! dommaaaaage!

The whole history of Paris in this place which is the world's oldest coffee. traditional vintage environments, paintings on the walls, Voltaire's desk and even the cocked hat of Napoleon Bonaparte. The staff was friendly and the prices all things considered acceptable in relation to the quality of the food and the local coat of arms; for a complete dinner (without wine) we were under 50 Euros per person.

The oldest cafe in Paris.Voltaire, Napoleon, Chopin, Moliere, Balzac, etc all have been here. There is a hat of Napoleon displayed in the restaurant too. So many other history kept in the restaurant.

Prix fixe menu was decent but not overwhelmingly good; might be a little overpriced, but not horrible for Paris. Good ambience.

I hadn t been at Procope for a while and last time I was very suprise for the change. Much more guests, tables are closers to each others, menu s change etc. I felt like somehow it was much more into business, more about turnover. The magic of Procope has significantly decreased.

We put 4 stars for the mythical place, the charm ... and 2 for the lower quality of the cuisine, a slightly casual service ... The bonus of the history of the place (quaint but magical) should not be forget that we also come here to eat ...

One of the oldest restaurants in Paris. They say that once Napoleon himself paid off there with his hat and it hangs in the hall. In general, the whole interior is overflowing with old paintings and objects. Quite atmospheric place. The menu is French, the dishes are delicious, the desserts are not very good. The service is too arrogant, even for such a restaurant. Dine here once, for the atmosphere and history.

the reason i did not give a 2 star is because there are pieces of Paris' history all around the restaurant (napoleon's hat, louis' xvi letter, etc.)

Delicious. Everything is very simple and very tasty.
(I read reviews that they don t speak English, it s not, we have three waiters who spoke it perfectly).

The setting is sublime and full of history.
The service is courteous and attentive.
The starter, main course, and dessert were really delicious.

Very expensive, the cafe lives mainly from its past history and the memory of Voltaire and the Revolution, otherwise it would not be frequented by anyone. The only advantage of the place is the private rooms on the 1st floor and its discreet staff when meetings without advertising are held there.

This is a great and iconic place !!! Worth a visit at least for the sake of feeling yourself in a real French restaurant! The food is simple but very tasty. The portions are large. We barely managed)))) the cock according to the old recipe is great.

The service and food are world class. Had the beef cheeks and scallops, both superb. The setting was also beautiful. If it doesn't have a Michelin Star it should.

It is the oldest restaurant in Paris. Located in a very nice old passage. In the restaurant I have not eaten so I cannot comment, but it is interesting to see.

We have been invited by friends here. A very historical flair, dating back to the French Revolution. A flared hat is said to have once belonged to Napoleon. He would have used it as a means of payment.
