The legendary oldest cafe in Paris has a place to eat at noon.

Ordered a set menu, steak for main course, before
The dish asked for a soup.

The soup of the appetizer still makes me feel at a loss, is it the soup made by beans? Don't know where Mingtang is?
Steak and chips are waiting for a while before serving.
The fries are crispy and the taste is good.
The steak is not complacent. The steak is very well cooked. The steak is still very old and almost hard to bite.

Napoleon's hat that was incapable of being paid after eating the meal was right in front of me. I wonder if I want to bet it here too.

My wife got so sick! I was afraid she was going to die. One should not expect good food handling in a place like that. Other reviews say the same! They poisoned my wife with their boeuf tartare. This restaurant would have been shut down by a health inspection agency in any civilized city. Interminable wait for our miserable food. What a mistake it was! They ve ruined the beautiful and historic restaurant that ended up in their dirty hands. If you want a historical setting, go there and wander around without ordering.

I would give 5 stars because the food is fantastic and I love old establishments but I have to give 4 stars due to all of the staff being extremely rude and impolite to non French speaking costumers.

Service was so slow. Ate here bc of the history....I should have let history be. Rude and slow wait staff....food bland and boring. Sea bass...chicken...trout....all lacking any semblance of flavour. Have a look inside and then move along to another restaurant. Signed...Napoleon B. PS...Thomas Jefferson was full of it in his review!

Friendly English-speaking staffs, good service, food is tasty and not so pricey (given it s french cuisine). One of the oldest restaurant in Paris, even only for the decoration and atmosphere, it s worth trying! I really enjoyed my dinning there!
Lunch set is less than 30, good wine available for less than 10 euro. Recommend to book a table, but 1 day in advance would be enough.

After this evening, which was supposed to be special given the reservation date and the liabilities we had with your establishment, we returned with a bitter taste. If there was only one positive point to remember, I would cite the setting of the restaurant. As for the rest: food, welcome, service, atmosphere, I advise you to choose another establishment which will respect the image it gives itself.

A room where the tables were on top of each other, it was necessary to fill up at all costs while for this date we hoped to be able to meet in a more intimate way. We almost chat with our table neighbors. In addition we were placed next to the space where the dirty dishes were placed we were entitled to the noise of cutlery and broken glasses all evening.

A very rude, noisy waiter, who allowed himself to whistle and hum while on duty. A speed such as it made a lot of noise while moving on this old ground. We were placed on his service path, I, on several occasions, while sitting while eating, was jostled by a blow in the elbow, the shoulder and this, from starter to dessert.

Needless to say, everything was accompanied by a note far from being in agreement, as it was salty, with the evening that we spent on the other hand, we did not need to ask for it, it almost arrived with dessert.

Quick and well done service, the waitresses and waiters are brilliant in this store. The place is really TOP to have a good time with colleagues, friends or with your darling. We can chat easily, the sound is not too strong. A good address in Ozouer-le-Voulgis

It is like being in another century. What a great experience. We had a very special time in this beautiful Restaurant. The Soup al oignons was the best I have ever had and the Creme Brulee was extremely delicious. Will be there again in May. Service was perfect and Cafe Procope will be my favorite Restaurant in Paris.

Went there twice first time was kid of ok. But second time along with the oldest cafe they showed the power of the oldest food in the Paris. I staid up half of the night with my girlfriend who was vomiting. But god bless I was lucky and I didn't eat too much of those crab salad. So just spent one hour on the toilet next day. Please don't use the goods from the hell it is not compatible with humans!!!

Historic restaurant
I think it's the oldest in Paris
Good food.
Expensive wines.
It's worth it for the site.

Possibly trading on its past, not its present. My vegetable entree was a sad salad of tired lettuce and uninspiring vegetables. The 'signature dish' of coq au vin turned out to be partly overcooked dry chicken (as well as nicer meat on the bone) in an over-salted, not particularly flavoursome sauce. Waiters quite friendly but one sneezed on his hands just before serving the table near me. Very limited wines by the glass, but that might be my problem. And all this for above-average prices!

Whenever I come to Paris I come to Le Procope at least once. The setting is fantastic: the combination of reds and golds with taste, the cutlery and how well the house is, the friendliness of the waiters, the agility of being able to eat without reservation, the affordable menu for 30 and knowing that You are in a restaurant with more than 325 years, with a lot of French history developed inside makes the visits a joy. Of course, it lacks a star because sirloin meat is still hard and they don't know how to make it. Otherwise, if you go to Paris, a must see

A taste of disappointment. The setting is very interesting and rich in history. However, the service was very fast and stressful, the dishes offered are interesting we expect better in terms of taste especially given the price. The onion soup containing only cheese, the snails were a little bland.

An exceptional place steeped in history, a yellow place (be careful, this is not a pun!) Gagnaire way very pleasant in the mouth but macaroni, truffle sauce, quite ordinary.

The oldest cafe in Paris, to visit for the historic setting, the decor and the atmosphere. A conference snack allows you to discover its history while tasting petit fours and creamy chocolate. Too bad we refused to give the speaker access to the top floor!

Very disappointed with this establishment that I was sold as a very friendly and warm place.
Unwelcoming, nonchalant and disrespectful staff on several occasions to my parents who asked for a glass of water with their coffees.

I would definitely recommend them. Value for money is in agreement. Rich food, although the service is a bit slow. Ideal environment and although there are many people it is not at all overwhelming. I would go back without hesitation.

Very good place to bring non-Parisian friends fond of history and culture. And in addition the dishes served are classic but perfect for making. A very chic canteen when you like hanging out in Saint Germain without necessarily being concerned with being "trendy". Reasonable prices.

The oldest cafe / restaurant in Paris. The setting is preserved as it was when it was inaugurated. It is said that Napoleon asked for the coffee that he prepared there, and that the writing of the US Constitution began there. Outstanding menu, and impeccable attention.

Very cute!
The first time I went the food was better than the last time.
The restaurant itself is very beautiful, is part of the history of the city and is very well maintained.

Overly cooked coq at vin with no taste, watery onion soup, beef steak that taste like it s going to turn rotten, food way over priced. Go across the street to Le Comptoir or anywhere. Do not come here, missed the mark by a whole mile

The restaurant deserves both for the dishes proposed and for the history that you can breathe inside. unfortunately being a very requested place to book and even this can not guarantee the table as we found out, we had to wait over 1 hour to sit down, the table booked was still busy. Never an excuse or a glass of wine offered for the wait ... Quite unpleasant!
