Great deal! We visited Molokini Crater and Turtle Bay. The snorkeling was phenomenal. Saw a variety of fish and a few turtles! Food was awesome and the open bar after the snorkeling was a great way to end the tour. Highly recommend.

The crew did a great job! The place where we snorkeled was crowded with tourists but we still saw a decent amount of wildlife. Due to high surf from recent storms the waters were murky at the 2nd stop so we only snorkeled by Molokini itself. Once you're done snorkeling bar is open and food is served. Other options like SNUBA and scuba diving available as well. Would definitely recommend if it's your first time in Hawaii!

Not worth $90+ a person. 7-9-15. It is more of a boat ride, not snorkel trip. First realize there are 2 different docs and boats for Pride of Maui (when you walk up you only see one sign for the main boat- if you are on the Lahaina boat, walk to doc 70- we made that mistake, the sign and staff were unclear). They wait till you pay (days before) and get on the boat (Lahaina boat), then tell you they aren't/can't go to Molokini. Then sailed 1 hour (from Maalaea) to Lahaina to snorkel (might as well driven myself to Lahaina to snorkel). Afterwards sailed to Olowalu to snorkel (I could of driven off the coast and snorkeled for free). Breakfast is just fruit and bread. Lunch was ok- hamburger/chicken or beef or vegan, and a cookie. 8am-2pm, snorkeled for around 1 hour. We saw 1 turtle, some spinner dolphins during the boat ride, about 5 fish, and lots of rock/coral. The crew was nice. The boat was crowded (about 30 people) and had no place to sit (until people went up to the top deck, and even then it was weird sitting where other people had there stuff). Don't be a dumb tourist and pay such and expensive price for a boat trip. Ask your company how many times they have driven out to Molokini lately, yesterday? ect. Look at reviews. I would suggest driving to the different Bays up the Lahaina/west coast. There are plenty of FREE places to go. I would suggest not supporting the boat trips if they are too pricey, packed, and unfruitful. Consider flying to Molokina on a helecopter. Also, look for boats that are closer to Molokini (down in Makena or Wailea). **After snorkeling in Hanauma Bay on Oahu, Turtle town, Sharks cove, ect, this Maui "snorkel" experience doesn't compare. If you want a good snorkel experience, don't take a boat. (and don't pay the $10 offer for a wetsuit, you won't need it).

We got on the boat and most seats were taken becau...

We got on the boat and most seats were taken because people laid their bags/towels on the seats next to them. It was ok, we stood and held onto a pole. The ship provided a large gallon with a pump of reed-safe sunscreen and asked that no spray sunscreen be used.

The drive out there was choppy but tolerable. It was windy so we were told we would only be going to the crater. We had signed up for snuba and after grabbing a muffin and fruit we were asked to head to the front of the boat for instruction. Our snuba leader, Jason, split us into two groups. He showed us equipment we would be using, taught us underwater safety. Someone dropped out at this point after hearing what to expect-this isn t for someone with little to no water exposure. We got fitted for our equipment and signed more waivers.

They lowered a large grate down into the water and we met Jason at the bottom. He got us hooked up to the snuba tank, which floats at the top of the water and has a 15ft line attached to you. The water was really choppy on the surface but nice once you get down underneath.

I was so disappointed that we only snuba d for such a short time. The ride out was about an hour and the snuba experience was about 35 minutes total but that includes hooking everyone up and getting everyone started. Once you got down, you cruised around for a bit then it was time to come back to the grate. I loved the actual snuba experience, but felt the cost vs time was not worth it and not I would not book it again.

There were a lot do people snorkeling but since we did the snuba first, I feel like when we actually got in to snorkel (around 9:45) people were already getting out or close to the boat just floating. It was windy and the waves pushed you around a bit but we were able to see some cool fish. My snorkel mouthpiece kept leaking and I had to take it to one of the helpers on a paddle board twice to fix it/get it looked at. She said a little valve had come loose.

The weather did not permit us to go to turtle town. We got anchor and up and headed towards shore. They started cooking lunch. The food was delicious, the burgers were great and they surprisingly moved the long lines through quickly. Luckily we found a spot to sit on the way back.

The boat was going faster on the way back and the wind and waves were big. I started to get sick. I want to recognize the gal that helped me. She asked if I was ok and I told her I was sick. She took my husband s plate up to him for me, told me the best place to stand, got me a seaband, and gave me some ice chips. It was so nice of her and really helped. The boat slowed down a bit as we got closer and it was a little more tolerable.

They had about 6 pictures and a video of my husband and I, but the $100 seemed very high priced for my budget and we passed.

The closer to the shore we got, our Snuba instructor brought us a small paper with the cost of that excursion listed (we had already paid so it was informational). He said he was not part of the ships crew and that we could give him cash or Venmo him his tip. He would come back around and see what we decided. If we say zero he will know he did not do a good job.

They also came over the PA and asked us to clap and cheer for the crew but that they ultimately would have a tip box to show our support on our way out.

Overall it was fun and I would recommend it to a friend. The ship/crew did a great job and the experience was good. We wouldn t have gotten to make it out to snorkel at that crater any other way. We did see 2-3 unique fish we hadn t seen with any other snorkeling we had done so far. The water was nice and even with the windy weather it was still beautiful. Thanks to everyone who helped make our experience a good one.

My sweet little friend saw me at the end and I told her thanks for keeping me from throwing up! We celebrated and she and gave me a big hug. She made the trip extra special by being so kind. I wish I caught her name. Thank you!

Would give it a 2 star, but the crew was very friendly and made it better. Over crowded on the boat, stood half the time while on board. The boat holds 104 legally, but by the time u add everyone carrying a large personal bag and snorkel equipment, it was tight. Ran out out breakfast fruit before everyone got some. The "designated" swim areas were also crowded with limited marine life to look at. Saw much more directly off of beaches on the big island. If taking a tour, take a smaller boat.

We checked in around 7:30am I believe and boarded at 8. Our group was large, probably around 30 people or so. They provide bread, fruit, juice and coffee for breakfast and then everyone goes to the upper deck for the ride to Molokini. On the ride, different crew members spoke to us about the safety procedures and different activities they offered. If you want to do something extra like snuba, you have to sit in on the class down stairs. No previous training required, but I couldn't equilize my ears so I wasn't able to go. Molokini crater was amazing! The coral there is just stunning and the water is so clear. They took us to Turtle Town after that and while still beautiful, the water wasn't as clear. I only saw 1 turtle while I was actually snorkeling but saw about 3 more once I had come back up on the boat. The entire trip is 5 hours long with about 2-2.5 hours in the water. They serve you hamburgers, chicken, pasta salad, cookies and drinks for lunch and also have a bar to get drinks. I will say the rides to the different locations were long, and I did get sea sick (didn't throw up though!). The staff is AMAZING, definitely the best part about the entire day. They were so accomodating and knowledgeable, you can definitely tell that this is their passion. There's a slide on the front of the boat that they let down and a lot of people had a blast on that. I was able to talk to quite a few different people and met some interesting people! I would recommend this tour if it's your first time in Hawaii. Yes, you can go along the different beaches and snorkel there, but Molokini is worth it just by itself.

If you want to go snorkeling with all the amenities you need, I would highly recommend going with the Pride of Maui tour. They take you out to secluded coral reefs for an hour of water time. It's followed up by a BBQ meal and an open bar. It's 3.5 hours round trip and so worth it! They provide SPF 50 reef-safe sunblock (free of charge) as well. Snorkeling equipment is included! We had a blast and the ship crew were so friendly and knowledgeable.

I wish I could give it more stars because the staff on the boat were great, very helpful and accommodating but everything else was sub par. First, they booked us for the wrong date so when our group of 7 showed up to get on the boat, they couldn t find our reservation. The girl checking us in was extremely rude and instead of taking the time to figure out what happened she blamed me and told us to step aside so she could see if the had enough food. My kids and family were embarrassed, we were pushed aside so she could check in everyone else even though we were there early. I took it upon myself to call the guy who booked us so he could explain to her that he d made a mistake and when he did, she still treated us like we were a nuisance. No apologies. She even had the audacity to say the she fixed the problem. No lady, I did. We got on the boat and like I said, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was fine, we weren t expecting anything more than burgers so everyone was happy with the food. I specifically asked if we d be able to swim with turtles when I booked it and they said yes. Instead they took us out to a reef where we saw a few fish and no turtles. My kids were still happy and it was beautiful out but I wish they wouldn t have promised turtles because it set us up for disappointment. My overall take, choose another company. One with better customer service ratings so that if anything does go wrong, you know you ll be treated with kindness and respect.

We took the P.O.M to Molokini and Wailea point (Turtle town) on Thursday 11/15/18). Staff is great. Very accommodating and helpful. Food and drinks were grspaceat. Did not see any turtles in Turtle town, but did see a Manta Ray, also lot's of Moorish Idols, tangs, butterfly fish, Damsals, Trigger fish. They pack this boat full, and it definitely feels like it. The only bummer to this trip is that it was very crowded at both sites. Hard to get some space from other people, not uncommon to be bumped into. Still, it was an excellent trip.

Kemo did an exceptional job of the Polynesian dance along with his partner. Although It was refreshing to get some culture along with this cruise, I wish I had know in advance that it was a dinner/party barge. I took my 76 year old father and it was not enjoyable for him.
He did enjoy Kemo s presentation as well as the rest of us. We hope others are able to enjoy it as well. Thank you Kemo! You made it a highlight of our visit.

Our morning reservation got botched by our travel agent, but the owner was great and worked us into an afternoon session the same day. The boat crew was very friendly and helpful, cooked up a pretty good hamburger, especially for being on a boat. The snorkeling equipment was good, pilot seemed very knowledgeable, overall a very good trip.

From the beginning of the 5 hour trip to the end the Captain and crew were engaging, welcoming, helpful, and patient! The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. The Snuba instructor Reed was phenomenal! This was my first time experiencing snuba and I was having a hard time at first but he was so patient and encouraging that I caught on and had a wonderful time. Thank you to the Pride of Maui for helping to make our 10 year anniversary memorable.

The weather did not cooperate so we did not get to go to either of the locations. Basically too windy. We went to one cove where we sat until there was a spot to tie up. We finally got to get in the water at 10am ( meeting time was 7:30am) we saw fish but honestly it wasn t a whole lot better than snorkeling by the black rock outside our hotel which we can do for free. We went ahead and rented wet suits for our family but had I known that we weren t going to go to a second location, I prob would of just saved the money that we spent. Lunch was good, just too windy to eat on the top deck where we were. I realize that no one can help the weather, but had we been given a choice, we would of taken a refund. We barely snorkeled and it seemed like the captain was trying to think of things to take up our time. We already did an amazing whale watch so driving back early to look for whales that we never got up close to, was disappointing. The staff was great and friendly though.

Pride of Maui Sunset Dinner & Luau Cruise was Fantastic! For such a small crew (only 4 people, including the captain), it was surprising how well taken care of we were. The couple, Kimo and his lovely wife, who provided the entertainment, performed traditional hula dances, in between multiple costume changes, also took turns bartending, and sharing their Hawaiian culture and history with us, and selling gorgeous Tahitian Pearl jewelry, while Captain Makena (sp?) steered us out to watch the beautiful Maui Sunset, and the fourth member of the crew set out appetizers, cleared, and then set out a delicious dinner (juicy roasted chicken & flavorful-fall-off-the-bone ribs as well as coleslaw, roasted vegetables, and spiced sweet potatoes), and cleared again, and set out desserts, too! It was a wonderful time, made all the better by people who really seemed to love what they do, including sharing it with all of us passengers/guests/new Ohana! I highly recommend this excursion!

A pleasant dinner cruise, but recommend you find a different dinner cruise boat. The big negative was the lack of sit down dining tables. You have to lap your plate or stand at one of the limited number of very tiny stand up tables. Dining topside was nearly impossible due to the wind and the tendency of the plastic plate to blow off your lap. Fortunately our group/trip was very small at around 40 people. The boat maximum capacity was published at 149 so if it had been a full to capacity boat it would have been a truely miserable experience.

Booked online for the Molokini/Turtle Town snorkel trip. Had a glitch on the website when we booked but they quickly called and squeezed us into a full trip. Boat was VERY clean and appeared to be in great shape. Very professional crew and captain that all knew what they were doing. One of the gentlemen spent 10 minutes with me after noticing I kept coming out of the water to change masks and helped me find the perfect mask for my face. Drinks on the house for the return trip was a great way to start the afternoon!

We(my wife and I) bought ourselves two tickets to their 'whale watching and snorkeling with turtles' package. We went with nary an expectation since this was our first time on such an expedition. We were first taken to this coral gardens place(it's a little rock shelf where the sea meets the island on a rocky outcropping and the water is shallow and corals abundant.) Since this was our first time snorkeling, we didn't know how to use the equipment or the yellow foam thing that you tie around your torso to keep yourself afloat. the staff didn't bother to instruct us or give us any pointers. We were asked to just throw ourselves in the sea and basically take care of the stuff ourselves. Turned out to be an extremely bad experience and almost put me off snorkeling. The whale watching was another disaster since we saw a couple whales and that was it. The captain didn't want to wait for more sightings. He whisked us back to the harbor and that was it. Try someone else.

It was fantastic! I would encourage everyone who visits the island of Maui in Hawaii to take the "Pride of Maui" excursions that they offer. They have a very friendly and competent crew, and always ensure that their guests have the best overall experience when sailing with them. I genuinely enjoyed the time I and my wife spent with them, and would do it all over again if I were blessed with the opportunity to go again! When in Maui, the "Pride of Maui" is truly the only way to go!

First off, we had a blast. The girls running around the ship taking care of preparing food, preparing the gear for snorkeling, and teaching people how to use it were amazing. Once we arrived to the first stop my girlfriend got seasick and had to spend the rest of the time hugging the railing (and feeding the fish...). The staff was constantly checking up on her and bringing her ginger drinks and ice and asking how she was doing. I saw them treat everyone else with the same encouragement and support.

On top of all this, it was pretty cheap and we got a 5 hour boat ride to a couple beautiful spots with lunch and unlimited alcohol drinks included (drinks are after the final stop, don't drink and dive).

If you're looking for a boat tour, no need to look elsewhere!

My daughter and I were very impressed with the crew, price and free drinks and lunch. At 70 years old, I wanted to try something new! Snorkeling! The crew was very patient with me, and before you knew it, I was "fish gazing". The turtles were migrating, so didn't see them, but nature rules! Maybe next time. You can't miss this one!

Besides the magnificent sunset, this cruise was fantastic. There were only 2 staff members that made sure we had drinks and food, check in.... Everything! They also were Hula dancers and they did several shows topside. I don't know how they did it all! The captain was friendly and the musician was excellent. Parking was free and it was easy to find. I liked that we didn't have to go into Lahaina to park or fight traffic. The food was typical buffet food, ribs were fall off the bone. I highly recommend this cruise and if the owner of this cruise line reads this, give your staff a raise! Whatever you're paying them can't be enough!

6 STARS! This was by far the best cocktail & sunset cruise I've been on!! I booked the Pride of Maui Sunset Grill & Cocktail Cruise as a pre-birthday gift for my husband. It was INCREDIBLE!!! We would give it 7-STARS if we could! the staff and captain were so awesome! Captain at yhe helm the emtore time, the small staff serving us drinks, entertainment and hosting! The staff was friendly, professional and quick! The ship was clean and decorated just perfect enough to give a feel of Hawaiian sea/Luau. The cruise was very intimate yet fun and quaint and gave you enough time to relax/unwind to enjoy the water, sounds and sights. Once we left the harbor an immediate open bar! The drinks were cold, tastey & ready. We then had a small platter of fruits, cheeses, and crackers available and continued to cruise out to see the sunset. Once we were steady cruising we were treated to a few classy short shows. LOVED IT! We THEN had a light dinner served! LOVED IT! We continued to mill around so we could admire the beautiful sunset, night sky & stars. As we headed back to the harbor we were served more drinks and DESSERT too!!! LOVED IT! Im so glad I booked with The Pride of Maui! Absolute class all the way! We will remember this cruise for a long time to come! ***NOTE: Bring a hair clip in case the wind whips up. Bring a GOOD camera. Bring your appetites!

Ok...so this out fit is awesome! My wife and I signed up for the scuba tour around Molokini and Turtle city. While we were diving, my wife dropped her GoPro and we did not have the flotation device attached to it...just the head mount. Now we were at 65' below sea level in the mouth of the crater...basically we wrote it off as a lesson learned. We told Dylan about losing the GoPro and he said that he would look for it the next day on his next tour. We continued the dive which was spectacular at both locations. We didn't expect him to look for it much less find it...and boy were we wrong. The next day Dylan sends me a text with a picture of my GoPro on his head!! The guy is a stud!

Dylan Simonson was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable. I am originally from O'ahu and he knew all the tropical fish by name! It felt super safe to be with him and I would recommend him and Pride of Maui.

When we went to pick up the GoPro the next day from him, he didn't want to take the tip from me for finding my camera...I finally shoved it in his hand. You do not find people like that every day.

BOOK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!

Absolutely worst tour I've ever booked.. They messed up our booking date for our trip to Molikini so they offered our group of 5 a replacement tour which cost us another day of hotel, car rental & rescheduled airfare. The replacement trip DIDN'T EVEN TAKE US TO Molikini
So I paid $500 for a boat ride & a hamburger.
Ruined our anniversary & are whole vacation.
Love to see my wife in tears on our vacation.
To top it all off I called the office to get refunded for our trip NOT TO MOLIKINI & obviously the lady had a whole line of b.s. excuses ready to go.. Absolutely bad business practices
Absolutely feel scammed.
No refunds & total attitude from the supervisor.
If the supposed supervisors, supervisor could contact me to resolve this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Super fun time! We snorkeled before, but this was our first time doing snuba. It was scary at first, but really cool once getting over the 'inhaling underwater' thing. The boat was nice and the crew helpful and friendly (Reed - snuba instructor). The food was outstanding and plentiful (burgers, dogs and chicken (also veggie option) with all the fixin's, macaroni salad, soft drinks & bar drinks. We stopped at Molokini first, then Turtle Town. The water was spectacularly clear. We did snuba first then switched to snorkel while the next group went in. I filled a 4GB memory card with photos and video. I wish the snuba hoses were longer... I couldn't dive deep enough to get near the bottom at Molokini. At Turtle Town a giant turtle surfaced within 3 feet of me... it was awesome!
We saw so many different types of fish. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in swimming in an amazing natural environment. Well worth the price.

Only giving 3 stars because of staff. They were awesome. We were disappointed in the place he positioned the boat for the sunset. Other boats that were out for the sunset that evening we could see were positioned to see the true sunset not behind a mountain. So we wonder why he did not do the same. No mention of sunset. Most passengers were on the lower level because they announced dinner was ready and thought they had plenty of time before sunset. Staff 5 star, sunset 1 star.

Seeing a Whale up close, not just in a picture, was a dream long held by my daughter. After saving up for a few months I took her to Maui to have this dream fulfilled. We had snorkeled all over the big island and all over Maui with our rental jeep, but the only way to get to the Molokini crater was by boat trip. We chose Pride of Maui because of price and added "Turtle Town" spot. They took us to neither place, but instead a mediocre snorkeling spot almost within eyesight of the harbor. They cited unsafe wind conditions, which I understand, but they did not inform us until they were literally casting off. They SHOULD have informed us upon checkin and offered a refund or raincheck. I would have NEVER got on if I knew we were not going to the crater. When I emailed them afterwards requesting them to issue what they thought was fair for a partial refund, I was ignored. I do not often post negative reviews, but I felt slighted. The following day was great weather and we would have happily rescheduled. I guess if the weather is bad, the only loser is the customer. I'm sure there is something in the fine print to protect them, but it does not make it right by the customer. Boo.

The boat left after some of the other boats which I think allowed the sun to rise higher and give better light in the water when we swam. Food was great, breakfast (which I brang up due to sea sickness) and lunch (I needed it). Captain Eagle eye spotted whales and dolphins. We saw green turtles at the second stop. As you may guess it was a rough day, same for all boats. The captain makes a judgment call on destination and the prior two days were too rough to get to Molokini.

The boat was great with lots of room even though we had a bunch of people. Staff was friendly. We did a whale watching tour, but only had two sittings that we followed for about 15 minutes each. They were about 50 yards away and just surfaced (no jumping/breaching) so we couldn't see much. That was less neat than I expected. Had a great time snorkeling with the kids, but the water was kind of murky. It sounds like the Molokini location is better for snorkeling. Food was good, but basic (burgers and veggies). Overall, I had fun but it fell short of expectations.

Above and beyond service. I was late and they waited for me (sorry to the other guests) and all staff were friendly. Equipment was in good condition and the food/drinks provided were better than expected.

This boat to Molokini is great for snorkeling only...

This boat to Molokini is great for snorkeling only. Do not buy their Snuba package (Turtle Town) unless you are comfortable with scuba diving. The Snuba package is a huge TOURIST TRAP, costly and you will not see anything different from snorkeling.

Brochure and advertisement shows an hour of being under water, this is not true. The hour is clocked from when they are talking to you and fitting you with gears. It s about 15 minutes for looking under water. For some reason the mask was slipping & not staying on properly. The diver who was to show us turtles didn t take the time to go around & help those who were not comfortable with the ear pressure. There were 6 Adults and (2) Children when we did the Snuba on March 15th. Keep in mind, we did Intro to Scuba Diving : prior to this trip. A class will not prepare you with the pressure you will feel going 10 feet down with weights holding you down. By the time, you get comfortable the guy will point its time to go back onto the boat. Did not see any turtles. Only turtle saw, was on the boat before we went into the water. Save your money and just snorkel the two areas. Lather yourself constantly with their SPF lotion they provided, if you are sitting on top deck. If you have sensitive skin, lather yourself before getting on the boat.

Suggestions: The crew needs to keep checking both bathrooms. As, one of the bathrooms didn t have any paper towels or bath tissue. Was fortunate that there was a little TP paper left on roll. Had to let the crew know before next person went in. Also, before lunch, they will mention (1) sandwich per person. Later on called out people could come back and have another one or take some home. By then, no one wanted to go up for seconds. Found this announcement ridiculous, because they ended up throwing a lot of food away. They had plenty of food for people to take (2) sandwiches. The meal is just regular food: muffins, Danishes and fruits for breakfast. Your choice of (1) hamburger, (1) chicken breast or (1) hotdog-this should be changed to 1-2 per person. As so much food was wasted. They are limited with alcohol beverages. Do not drink before snorkeling, as you can become dehydrated fast-just wait till you are heading back to shore.

Also, the pictures they sell show a lot of the same people over and over again. Looks like the photographer didn t know how to circle around to take pictures of other people on the excursion. You might find a couple of yourself, if you are lucky. Don t bother buying their pictures, bring your own waterproof camera for better pictures.

The video they show is a private party, as the experience was not like the video. So don t get your hopes set up too high.

This was a great whale watching and snorkeling trip. Everyone of the staff members were extremely helpful extremely polite and it made for a great trip. We got to see lots of whales. The barbecue was awesome and hit the spot. Don't worry about where you sit on the boat you will see whales on every side of the boat. The lower deck front of the boat was my favorite spot
