This is by far the best snorkling/booze cruise out there! The staff is excellent and they go out of their to provide visitors the best experience. I have done 3 rides and plan to do more every time I return to Maui.
An absolute ton of fun. Snorkeling at the crater and turtle town was great. The crew were incredibly friendly and the food and drinks were good too. Take a trip with them, you'll love it too!
Snuba was awesome for the entire family! Jason made even the less capable swimmers in the group feel very comfortable!!! The people and hospitality on the boat was great!!! Genuinely nice and friendly crew!!! We will definitely do this again!!! Fyi, you really might want to pre-book 2 tanks/dives to be able to fully experience both sites!
The breakfast and lunch seemed pretty close together, but it was good because the crew left the leftovers out for everyone to enjoy throughout the first dives.
It would have been good if there was more than just cookies and drinks after the second dive location!

Fun trip and good experience. We went out to molokini which wasn't as good as hoped due to distance from shore. Boat is pretty full meaning you get less time in the water per stop (only about 45 minutes). Burger was excellent. Next time I'd just snorkel from shore to save more water time and money but they were good.
It was a very nice tour. We made two different stops. One of the stops was the molokini crater and the water was crystal clear down to like 25 feet. It was cool to see all the different fish and colors of coral!
My husband and I had a wonderful time on our snorkel trip. The staff was really nice and friendly. I forgot to bring a towel, yet the guest services lady brought me one to use for the day. Even though it was our responsibly to bring our own. I had to come back aboard the ship during our first stop, because my chest was hurting. The staff continued to check on me and ask if they could do anything for me. My husband convinced me to slide down the slide into the water. I did it, even though I was scared. Concentrating on my fear, I forgot I was wearing my sunglasses. When I hit the water they flew off. One of the amazing staff members dove down to get them for me, after my husband told him what happened. They were so nice about the whole thing. And the diver found my sunglasses and gave them to me. We will only use Pride of Maui next time we make it out there.

My wife and I did this snorkel tour and it was well worth it. They provide the mask, snorkel, and fins. A continental light breakfast is served as well as a grill out lunch. Nothing fancy but very nice to have a longer tour like this one. They take you to the Molokini Crater and Turtle town. It was by far the best snorkeling we did on the island. We could see the reef, tons of fish and a few sea turtles. I would recommend this tour!
Very nice crew, safety was emphasized. They did say that water was cooler, it was, but not bad. This tour was priced right and not overcrowded. Other boats appeared to have way over 100 snorkeling, we might have had 60. Molokini crater was fun, but turtle town was great. Fun to watch these gentle creatures. The photo they took boarding I assumed would be over priced, but at 20 bucks, with pics of turtles and Molokini made it an easy decision. Nice adventure.

Through exhaustive searching for months and coming close to our wedding date with no real plan yet, we contacted the amazing people at POM and became a lifelong customer. They took care of everything at an extremely reasonable cost compared to everyone else on island. The boat looked amazing my wife and I were crying and the staff is the best. When I say took care of everything I mean the only thing I had to do on my own was book a DJ (a friend) and our pastor. We talked to everyone on island from beach houses golf courses and other boat companies. We put all of our trust into them and they did not disappoint in the slightest. Highly recommend if you're thinking of booking a wedding on a boat. I only wish I could post some pictures with my review.
This was such an awesome experience. The crew was so cool and nice and the food was great. We went over to Molokini crater first where we went snorkeling and saw many fish. I even spotted an octopus. Then we went over to Turtle Town where we saw two turtles. They offer snuba and snorkeling. Snuba is like beginners scuba. You have a tank in a floating devices on the surface and a tube that stretches down into the water. Totaly recommend this for anyone. Camera gear is for rental or you can bring your own. They take pictures and sell packages for good prices. Book in advance because the have limited spots that go fast.

We took two trips. The first during the day and the next during the night. Everyone was great. During the day we snorkelled and were in the water as much as we could as the water was really clear. The fish, eels, and rays were swimming around as we hoped and just spent a lot of time floating and watching. For easy swimming I recommend using the noodles to lay on as you go but if you want to dive in then you have to give it to someone to hold. The evening cruise was fun when we went. We saw the sunset and the brilliant stars above. We used a star chart on our phone to figure out the constellations which are different due to latitude. The supper was delicious with plenty of fruit and drink. We also had a singer/musician who played during the evening. Enjoyable music to go with the cruise. Additional Notes: For those who get seasick its offered up to take a seat in the back because the boat is more stable in the back. The crew works hard so remember to bring some extra money for a tip.
Pros: informed, professional staff; clean amenities; know where to find the hot spots for snorkeling; meaty lunch plus open bar on the 45-minute return to port. Cons: huge, and crowded; even a few non-abiding passengers can really reduce the appeal for the rest of us; plenty of nickel-and-dime add-ons, like cameras, wet suits, SNUBA, photos, and more photos. Overall, they know what they're doing, but you'll sacrifice personality for uniformity.
The crew was great! We scuba-ed in the coral gardens and saw a cow calf pair of whales before and after the scuba session. The food and drinks they served were delicious. Despite the high winds that day it was enjoyable time.
We enjoyed our afternoon snorkel last Monday. The staff made my non-swimmer husband feel comfortable. The staff made it cool to use noodles and yellow belt flotation devices. We saw turtles, coral and many types of fish. The BBQ lunch made by our lifeguard was great too. A job well done.

WARNING*** Don't choose this tour company. August 2016, we took a pride of Maui excursion. It was supposed to be an all day event, from molokini, to turtle town and back to port. We boarded and went over safety information early that morning. We then got out of the harbor, and I overheard the captain talking to another passenger on the boat. He said we were not going to molokini that it was too windy and the water was too choppy. We also didn't go to turtle town. Instead they took us about 20 minutes up the coast. Dropped anchor and let us snorkel there. I could have parked our car and walked to the point the boat took us and snorkeled there for free. instead I paid good money to go on a tour we didn't even go on. After about an hour everyone had their fill of the 10 fish in that area and the captain decided to take us back. We paid for a 6 or 8 hour excursion and ended up in a driveable location for one hour. They never mentioned that we weren't going to molokini to us. They should have told us before we got on the boat that the conditions were not acceptable and gave us a choice to get a refund, come back another day, or go to the location they chose, but they told us nothing and just lead us to a crappy spot with barely any fish. When I wrote in a complaint they didn't even respond. I am going back in a month and would never choose this charter again. Also their, bottomless selection of alcohol was merely two bottles. One vodka, and the other Rum. What a shame. Don't waste your money with these people. They clearly don't care about their customers.
Good trip, we couldn t go to Molokini because of bad weather but we still got to see lots of cool fish and coral. The snuba add-on is cool but feels really short for the money. Breakfast was meh, lunch was good and the open bar was a nice touch.
Thanks for a super fun experience! Clean family fun. Friendly crew. Clean ship. Yummy grub. And open bar! Plus, the whale watching was amazing. So many sightings I could not keep track. The water was so warm when we were snorkeling too. Saw lots of colorful fish. Definitely a plus for our Maui stay.
We had a great experience with Pride of Maui. The crew was so friendly and helpful. I am usually very nervous on the sea but I was confident in their knowledge and skill.
Docked two stars for the misleading SNUBA experience. We paid the extra $58 for SNUBA when we booked thinking that we would be experiencing it for the entire trip or at least the majority of the time (as I've done at other SNUBA locations). However, we were quite disappointed to learn we only got to spend about 15 minutes in the water at one location (Molokini) and no time at the other (Turtle Town). By the time we equalized pressure in our ears and adjusted our breathing, our time was basically up. High traffic limited our range, saw a few fish. Guide only pointed out an eel. Not worth the $58 each at all!!
The rest of the trip was fine. The snorkeling gear was average, leaky masks and difficult-to-clear snorkels. The locations were cool, food was good, crew was helpful, and ship was enjoyable. But the SNUBA experience and low quality gear set a bad tone
Excellent!!! Will definitely go back. Friendly crew and captain. This to them is more than just a job, they actually want their clients to have fun!!! We had a blast snorkeling in the various places and the crew did everything they could to make sure we had a good time. I actually lost my camera at the bottom of the ocean, about 60 feet down, and one of the crew members went to retrieve it. This trip is HIGHLY recommended!!!!
I feel so bad even leaving a review that is not 5 stars but the three stars is for the amazing, friendly, safe crew and great food/ open bar. The stars taken off were the snorkeling experience. There were HUNDREDS of other people snorkeling in the same spot so there was only one type of fish there and very few at that. Then we went to another spot and there were so many people on our boat that my husband and I were getting kicked in the face (multiple times in different areas) trying to snorkel because we were told to stay in such a small area. I would have much rather done off shore snorkeling. It would have been less crowded, cheaper, and with much more diversity. Boat ride, staff, and food were awesome but if you re experienced with swimming and snorkeling, stay off shore...
MUST DO!!! If you want to snorkel, this is a must. The crew is absolutely amazing. Their hospitality is on point. Breakfast and lunch after served on board and they encourage you to eat up until the food is gone. They even asked us to make to go plates so the leftovers (there were many) wouldn't go to waste. We went to too different snorkeling sites which were great.
If you go in early February you will see whales! We saw around 100 whales throughout the excursion!
Impressive! The Pride of Maui crew were very friendly and professional. They worked extremely hard and went the extra mile for us. My husband and I took the trip with our adult son who is deaf. He was the only one of us snorkeling. This crew took time to be sure that he was fitted correctly and that he understood all the rules. Because of this he had an exceptional experience. Thanks!

Like many couples we came to Hawaii for our honeymoon. We knew there were two things we absolutely could not miss; snorkeling and a luau. I am so happy we booked with Pride of Maui. The crew is a group of fun loving awesome people. They genuinely want you to have a good time and keep you safe the whole time.
We also tried the snuba which was super fun. The divemaster (I'm awful with names but I believe it was Justin) is an awesome guy and makes sure you're comfortable and safe during your little adventure. Even when I had a moment of panic after sucking in some water while trying to clear my mask he was right there to get me situated again.
Amazing staff, the boogie boards with a see through cutout are the perfect remedy for those who are uncomfortable snorkeling.
We book this Snuba excursion for Nov 16th 2019, Jason was our Snuba instructor and was very helpful and we had amazing experience. The down side though was we paid for our photos and videos but when we got home and tried to view our photos , we realized there were photos of everyone on our trip instead of just our family. This is a serious privacy breach, what that means is other people have our photos too. I can t believe they would do something so unprofessional.
Would give 5 for an excellent tour, food and beverages, but difficult to locate the boat in the harbor. The tour itself was great, even saw some whales in early November

Very boring. They take you out too a big rock where there are hardly any fish too see. You can find beaches to snorkle where there are more a variety of fish. Deserves a 1 star but the crew were nice. 2/5
Really great bang for your buck! This was our first time in Maui and we scheduled very last minute for the snorkeling trip. Though we didn t book in time to have transportation provided, Corky called us early enough for us to arrange transportation via Uber. The staff was friendly and informative. The snorkeling sites were beautiful! The boat has more than enough flotation devices to help you snorkel if you aren t a super strong swimmer. They even have floaties attached to a rope at the rear of the boat where you can build your nerves before letting go or you can just hang out there. We had a great experience.

Snorkelling guide was awesome and kind. Be sure to try the waterslide and have a GoPro running for the ride.

5 days of vacation, I won in IMMUNOTEC, all paid, Maui is an island with its people very warm, friendly and very attentive, it is a wonder.
Our second journey (first about 8 years ago for snorkel/snuba. This time whale watching, snorkeling. Can't say enough about the captain and crew, they are top notch and well versed in their trade, very professional and attentive. The drinks and food good. Enjoyed this second trip more than first maybe because our kids now college aged so could participate with less parental worries. Had problem with snorkel not free flow air and mask leaking water so cut short water fun. The latter probably wrong size mask. Nonetheless would do it again on the Pride of Maui.
Booked the Afternoon Tour and was informed says in advance that the tour had to be canceled due to ship maintenance. I was upset until I was called and asked if I had availability for other times and dates. 5/5 just on Customer Service. Now the tour, FANTASTIC! Did the Morning Tour. Crew was super nice and attentive. Amenities were great. They had everything you could need!!! Was seriously incredible.
My family and I did the snorkeling tour in August 2019 and it was amazing. The staff was fantastic, super friendly, helpful and nice; especially TAKAKO MEDEIROS! A must do! Boat crew is wonderful. The meal that was included in ticket was outstanding and the all u can drink bar was a crowd pleaser. Snorkeling was breathtaking off the crater and seeing whales all though far away was awesome. I WILL COME BACK AND DO AGAIN.
The tour was fine, the boat was fine, and the staff was fine... But the bathroom was absolutely foul. It was well overdue for change and literally so bad it was making people who were already on a fragile stomach from the water get sick. One tourist who wasn't feeling well walked in to the bathroom and imediately came out and got sick in the trash can... The staff yelled at him and told him to get sick over the edge, as if he made a choice...

Somewhat disappointed. Too many people aboard, so the snorkel space was extremely overcrowded. Crew was nice enough, but didn't go out of their way to be extra friendly ( which is what I found in most other companies/excursions.. because there is so much competition here.) They said snorkeling would be an hour, and I am sure it was not.. after we got back in the boat we sat around for a good 25 more minutes while others slide down the slide and jumped off the side. Didn't know if we could do that as well or what.. there was no mention or announcement about it. I know I could have asked, but the whole thing seemed unorganized. As for whale watching, they definitely don't go seeking them out.. it's a whale citing, not a whale watch. They are on a mission to get to the most over snorkeled location in Maui..Molokini. There are so many other more desirable spots. The lunch was fine, not tons of options, but that was ok. Won't go on another tour with them.
Honestly can t think of enough amazing things to say about these guys. My boyfriend wanted to go whale watching more than anything. But I get very motion sick. Very easily. So that led to some compromise. But the staff was so helpful in making me feel better and went above and beyond. Don t be afraid to book even if you get sick at sea. You ll be very well taken care of.
The dinner and atmosphere of this sunset cruise was wonderful, nature cooperated, both weather and humpback whales were in great form. The wind was calm for a change (it had been windy for the past few days) and we saw numerous humpback whales, mother and calf with several male escorts. Hawaiian culture was presented with hula dance and short history of the islands. Jason, the captain and his crew were wonderful. We had a great time. Hopefully when you go the wind and tides will be in your favor, as it was for us.

My friend and I signed up for the afternoon snorkeling trip. Initially, we had wanted to depart on the 5-hour morning snorkel, but Maui weather called for rain so we decided it was best to hold out to wait and see.
We woke up that morning to find that it did not rain so we called them up and booked for the afternoon snorkel at 1 pm. We arrived early to check-in and learned that our group only had 20 people. We watched the morning boat dock and learned that the morning group had over 100+ people. I was happy to be with a smaller intimate group.
On the sail to Molokini, I spotted two whales in the water. That was super exciting. During the trip, the crew helped to get my friend and I properly fitted with the appropriate snorkel masks and fins. When we anchored, there was only one other boat in the reef area. We had a lot of room to swim around.
After the snorkel, we got back on the boat. Refreshments were already out for everyone. The snorkelers got some drinks while one of the crew members started up the grill. The hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken looked delicious!
We ate and the crew members cleaned up very efficiently for the evening sunset sail.
I enjoyed looking out at the water and seeing more whales as we sailed back to Maui!
I've been on this boat three times in the last five and a half years. All three times have been amazing the crew is more than knowledgeable and more than willing to help. I recommend this for you and your family.
The whales and the snorkeling, and swimming in the ocean, were all on my bucket list. As well as coming to Maui! Thank you for the experience
We had A fantastic time at Molokini Crater. The Pride of Maui crew made the day a time to remember. We went snorkeling and Snuba while in the crater. The crew and staff was awesome. The food and drinks hit the spot. The photographer took great pictures when we were in the water. A definite must do while on Maui. And to top it off, we saw a whale on our way back.

Our family had a great experience on The Pride of Maui. The service was excellent. The crew gathered our plates, brought us drinks, served us cookies and helped us get ready to snorkel. The bbq served on board was actually really good. I was pleasantly surprised. We saw a lot of fish and there were sea turtles in the area, although we did not see them.
Unenthusiastic staff, below average snorkeling, underwhelming food/beverage overall. Don t waste your money.
We did the sunset dinner cruise with our five month old and we loved it! Couple things that set them apart: We accidentally missed our reservation on Tuesday night and they graciously let us go on Thursday night instead. Then there was the cute couple who were awesome bartenders but even better Hawaiian dancers! They did 6 or 7 awesome Hawaiian dances to traditional Hawaiian music. Our baby loved it! There was also live music and the dinner was amazing! I would HIGHLY recommend the dinner cruise!
Wow! What I wouldn t give to be back on your beautiful boat again. Keep doing what you re doing, because honestly everything was just perfect. We saw so many turtles and learned so much about Hawaii s beautiful eco-system. Every member of your staff deserves a raise because they are truly the best in the business.
The ship staff was perfect and the food was great. Awesome local beer options on the boat made for a great sunset cruise and snorkel trip. Definitely a must when visiting Maui.

Crew were by far the best people we dealt with while in Maui. So friendly and attentitive, they mixed drinks to fix upset/sea sick stomachs and ran around helping people out where they could, even with advice like the back of the bottom level is the smoothest for the ride. It was really windy so boat ride was a bit choppy but it was all good fun, but it meant that we had to snorkel in a different location. We missed Molonkini and went to the calmer Coral Gardens instead. It was BEAUTIFUL and we were lucky to see a turtle! Theres a water slide on the boat which is great fun. They offer so much for rental (wet suit tops, camera equiptment etc) and snorkel, mask and fins were provided. The captain provided us with great facts about the surrounding islands, the snorkel spot and mixed some great Mai Tais! Food was delicious and theyre amazing with food requirements (my sister is vegan and was supplied a burger patty AND a cookie! They surprised us with this effort!) Everything felt safe. Highly reccomend!

My wife and I were newbies to snorkeling and they helped us feel comfortable and safe. They have noodles, waist flotation devices and excellent underwater photographer.
We were vegetarians and the food was great! The captain stopped at multiple places to show us whales in the area and as very knowledgeable about their behaviors. This was definitely the highlight of our entire trip.
We didn't have a sunset do to weather conditions, but captain Matt did a great job keeping us away from the rain, so we go to see whales and enjoy drinks and dinner at sea. The crew was exelent!!
The boat, crew, meal, weather and ocean were excellent. My only problem and most important reason for being there was the whale watch. They won't get close enough for a picture if they even find one.

This tour was "fine". We didn't see very much fish, and the coral is all brownish or dull yellow/green. We went to a second spot to try and see turtles and only got a glimpse of one. The boat is kind of dirty and the bathroom is like an airplane bathroom (muggy and stinky) and started to stink up the lower level. However, the staff was friendly and it was nice they provided sunscreen to apply. Lunch was fine and alcoholic drinks were good.
The crew was great. Very friendly and there was plenty of room for everyone. The provided Lunch was prefect for this trip. Highly recommend for a family.
We attended the Fourth of July dinner cruise. Awesome setting and a great view for the fireworks.
