Preserve at Spears Creek Review

I did not lease here, however the staff offers wonderful customer service. Was recommended by many folks i encountered. Apartment homes are very nice, clean and very resourceful.

I have lived here for about two years and I absolutely love it! The neighborhood is peaceful and very quiet, and the office staff is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this place!!

I m an out of towner looking to relocate to South Carolina and look up some amazing properties and instantly feel in love with The Preserve at Spears Creek! I called to view the property and the amazing leasing consultant by the name of Ann or Annie was amazing!! She answered all of my questions and concerns I had. I will be making a visit real soon!!! Very professional!!

My experience has been a nightmare. My sister and I wanted a safe environment to live but that has not been the case. On June 15th around 2 a.m. our apartment was shot into. I woke up to find a bullet hole in my bathroom wall and the bullet on the ground. When the police were called they found another bullet near my bed! Scariest day of my life! To make the situation worse the complex did not accommodate my sister and I the way they should. After speaking with the Regional, Chris. It was clear they did not care about the safety of us. He was completely disrespectful and exemplified extreme poor people management. Very unprofessional. I am writing this review so that you will heed this warning....find another place. Not to mention you'll have silverfish in your bed, so if gun shots in the middle of the night don't scare you maybe that will.

In no way shape or form would I refer to these apartments as "luxurious"

Wonderful apartment community. A community, not far from the convenience of shopping nearby. You can connect to I -20 or I-77 easily. Also, in proximity of Fort Jackson within 20min or less. The property scheduled an event such as Dining on Us this Friday which was awesome! It afforded the working class professionals and parents a break from preparing a meal. Thanks to the property, for the appreciation shown to the tenants, that reside here. The staff here from the property manager Monica to the leasing consultants Angel and Annie, I couldn t of found a better place to live after retiring from the US Army. Lastly, thanks for supporting our servicemen and servicewomen, who have served this great nation!

She helped me and my mom out, she was very nice and kind and the place is very nice would live there again especially under her management.

Very nice, quiet area. Condos are very nice. They are in close proximity to everything and only 3-5 minutes from I-20, yet right outside of the heavy traffic on Clemson road.

Beautiful apartments and grounds. The office staff is really nice too. The downsides are there are few "horizon" level apartments. Meaning, first floor is psuedo subterranean. The second floor apartments are "horizon" level. So, if you have any physical defencencies (can't handle steps, etc) ask for the second floor. Also, the income requirement is outrageous! It's an apartment, not a single family home.

Im currently moving into a new house and couldn't break my lease which is understandable because I only have two months left. I was told I would just need to pay my base rent $12k+. I disconnected other services because no one would be there. I paid my base rent but wasn't aware that I had to pay utilities because that is what I was told.I noticed their was a late feeling & I called the lady explained that per lease agreement I would have to pay utilities. I understood and asked if the late fee could be waived because of this miscommunication. They would not waive the feeling. I was never late before. I had to deal with their miscommunication before its so frustrating. Also they moved me into my apartment without it being cleaned properly.

Move here at your own risk! There are several things that are wrong with this place. First of all, the apartments are infested with roaches. It doesn't matter how many times you ask them to come and spray to get rid of them it doesn't work. Second, you place a work order for something as simple as having a problem with one of the toilets it takes them almost a week to come out a service it. My wife on several occasions has had to call 4 to 5 times before we can get someone to respond. Finally, the biggest problem is when the office receives a package and we go to pick up the package during "office hours". They say that they are close for a "meeting" and we will have to come back another time to pick up our package. Many of the packages that I have shipped to me are time sensitive and they have no regard for that. I have managed many different businesses in my career and I have never heard of a company closing their office during business hours for meetings. I will be looking for a new place ASAP!

Awesome place to live with fantastic staff, never have any issues and everyone is so accommodating. I definitely recommend it!

I went with my mother to look for a place; my mother has been living in apartments on and off for the last 25 years! I can honestly say that all of the staff, that includes maintenance, were very professional and extremely kind! My mom is elderly and they took hours to help her decide which apartment to rent! At no time did they get impatient or made us feel rushed! Based on life experiences of 54 years, I can say that each person came across as genuine; they were honest and extremely accommodating. Both my mother and I share the same opinion!!! Thank you, Angela, Monica and all the other staff that help us make this wise decision!! June and Gail F.

We moved in to the Preserve 2 1/2 years ago "until our house in NC sold". Well, the house sold two years ago but we're still here. Why? We love it. Our apartment is quiet and plenty of space for the two of us. The staff is outstanding. Maintenance requests are handled (typically) same day. The pool is great and extremely well maintained. In short, we have not found a compelling reason to move. If I were a college kid looking for a party scene I'd look elsewhere. However, for a couple or a family just looking for a comfortable place to live, it's hard to beat.

I've been hear only a month and this place is awesome. The customer service in the leasing office has been the best ever. I cannot imagine going somewhere else that doesn't have the courteous nature I received here. BTW, the apartment is awesome too.

The new manager Ms. Monica was very helpful, kind and caring. I m prior military and I use to be a tenant there. Wish we live there with Ms. Monica as the manger. I m putting the word out to my battles, that preserve at Spears Creek is the place to live. Thanks for supporting the troops!

This property has poor management. Upon moving out, our complete deposit was taken and we were told it was for the water bill. Clearly, we paid the bill every month. On our final statement it read something completely different. We gave the manager a call and she came up with this whole story about the water bill. Really? To make a long story short, they are very sloftful about repairs and response times. They failed to honor the lease agreement we made with "Villas at Spears Creek", the managing company that existed before they abruptly took over and fired all the old staff. Save yourself the grief and the money. :( I rate it -5 stars!

This place isn't that bad, but it could be better. The rent is disproportionate to the quality of the facility. The rental rate on the website is what you may get quoted initially. The rent rate you sign for will raise after your lease is up, and they make you commit to it approx. 3 months before your lease is over. You can rent month to month afterwards, but to the tune of over double your current rate, almost forcing you to stay. The insulation in the walls is minimal at best. you can hear everything going on in the breezeway. The garage is a nice touch if they're available, and the staff has been very helpful, so I can't say anything bad about them. The pool is a nice addition, along with the weight room and downstairs lounge area. The "valet" trash pick up is a nice touch for those that are lazy or have young kids and don't want to leave them alone to take out the trash. On the other hand. I feel it should be an optional service, and not mandatory to pay every month. Either you sign up for it, or you don't. If you sign up for it, you are obligated to pay for it. If you don't sign up for it, you don't use it. The way it's set up now, you don't have an option. You HAVE to pay for it. Whether you use it or not. Other than what I've stated, the place is alright. Is it worth it? I don't feel it is since my rent has been raised.

This place is terrible. Management doesn't care for the tenants. We've called about music multiple times and was told something would be done about it but nothing was ever done. They may act nice but they don't care about us. I don't recommend living here. I don't even recommend looking at the website. The renting is completely out of proportion of the actual "luxury" of this piece of trash apartment complex.

They are falsely advertising $731 on there website but when you call them the price for One bedroom is $961

I have had an interesting experience over the last year while living in this apartment complex. Property management changed, removal of courtesy officer, and replacement of staff in the front office with no notification to the residence are a few occurrances that transpired while living in an apartment with the Preserves at Spears Creek.

I spoke with Monica today about how my account was overcharged for the month of December. She was already investigating the problem when I walked in. After our meeting I was confident she was going to get this situation promptly mediated. I was please with her professionalism and am hopeful this property will improve over all with her employment with the company. Besides Priscilla, I have dealt with multiple property managers that really did not know what was going on or how to professionally handle situations as they may have arised. I am giving a 4 star for Monica, not the experience while living at this apartment complex. I will send another review when I leave in 2 months about my experience and am hopeful I am able to deliver a more positive review for the experience I have had while living in this apartment complex.

I had the worst move in experience ever!! The apartment is nice and roomy but I wouldn t consider it luxury. The utility package is pricey and the cable does not offer many channels. The trash pick up is expensive especially if you don t use the service. Upon move in the apartment was not ready for move in. Instead of saying okay we forgot about the apartment they just allowed me to move in. I expressed how unsatisfied I was! I even reschedule my move in date (carpet was wet) and still nothing was accomplished. The carpet was wet and the spot painting was incomplete (blue tape everywhere). The kitchen has a huge sink in the floor! Maintenance and the maintenance supervisor said they would call the contractor. It s been months and NOTHING! After the carpet began to dry I called the office to inform them that it was still dirty. The carpet cleaning company was sent out again. The carpet cleaning employee informed me that the carpet was not going to be clean and they made a recommendation to the office to put in new carpet which they obviously declined to listen to the referral. The property manger took pictures of the carpet to send to corporate but once again NOTHING!! No response and it s been months! Also the apartment definitely has a roach infestation! Roaches are everywhere and very plentiful. Luxury apartment with roaches?! My biggest issue is I have not received any response to any of my concerns! No follow up!!

We have loved our experience so far living here. We have a great 2 bedroom. I cannot say anything but great things about the staff here. They always make sure that there are things to do around the community and really try to keep the place nice and homey. I would definitely recommend looking into Preserve if you have the budget for it.
