Kaleb is very helpful, knowledgeable and professional! He's definitely a great option for a salesman if you're looking to buy a Chevy.

I walked onto the lot and was greeted by Robert. He was very polite and listened to exactly what I wanted. I came in with a list of what I needed, what I wanted, and what I didn't want. He helped me pick out a great car that exceeded my expectations. This was after a day going to many other dealerships and trying out a ton of cars. Most of the salesmen were just that. Salesmen. Robert had a much better approach and genuinely cared that I loved the car that I ended up with.
It was a great experience for me being a first time car buyer.
Ryan took care of everything that I needed and I got the exact truck I was looking for !
In the service department if i have any concerns about my car they always ask and look into the concern. Good package deal on oil changes. The service department can sometimes be really backed up. Currently have been sitting in the lobby for an hour in a half for an oil change. First time it has ever taken this long! A bit ridiculous. But still one of the better places to go
I purchased my 2017 Equinox at preferred in Muskegon. It was a nightmare and they told me that they couldn't do anything for me so I had to come to Grand Haven. I have had nothing but the best experience here. I wish I had came here first because I got ripped off by Preferred in Muskegon on Henry.
I went in today for an oil change. They checked out my car and the found issues
That needed repaired. There was no pressure to have it fixed they even gave me a printout for futher review.
Thank you for the great service
Campbell Stevenson goes the extra mile to do the very best job for his customers. His integrity is what keeps us coming back for our automotive choices.
Good sales man helped us out with what we needed will come back in the future
Great experience, Ryan Myers, our salesman, did a great job!
They will sell the car when you are on the way no communication. Everyone was at a loss that I had a test drive scheduled or cant find the car. Don't waste your time with a salesman named Ricky Bobby.
They fit me in their schedule the same day and were compassionate and courteous throughout the whole experience. Will be going back for ALL service needs!
We found ourselves with a vehicle, that we clearly were not happy with. We met up with Robert Corbett, and started our search! He was more than willing to "flatter" my every request to test drive all the vehicles I found interesting online, he drove us to other lots to find vehicles that were not on the Beacon Blvd lot and he was extremely patient when it came to me installing my son's car seat in each of the vehicles we test drove. He also met with us after hours to help in our search for the right vehicle. In the end, we left and checked out a few other dealerships...but were drawn right back to Robert at Preferred!
He got us through finance smoothly and even helped my husband set up the XM Radio along with the OnStar before we even left the lot :) My family is in love with the vehicle we chose...we will continue to chose Preferred when we are in the market for another new vehicle, and refer all our friends who are searching for the "right vehicle" as well. Hopefully Robert Corbett will be there in a few years when my husband will be in the market to replace his truck! Thank you, Robert! I love my Denali...and my Lil man said again "Thank you for the red balloon" :)
The repair team wanted to find an elusive and aggravating rattle in our car and put their best effort forward to find it. So far so good. Thanks for your efforts.
Service representative was very friendly and helpful
This will be a simple review of the customer service. Not the vehicle I have purchased or the company ethics on standing by what they sell. It's too early to make a comment on those.
Ben Battaglia, was my sales person. What a great guy!
My line of work is in purchasing. In doing this, I have to try too read people.
I like this guy and recommend him to anyone reading this.
This guy was trying to sell me the same truck, I had just purchased! This is funny and showed me his passion of getting me something, that he loves himself.
My transaction was fair and I think we both walked away happy.
Ben is recommended by me. Someone who is in procurement and deals with sales people on a regular basis.
I bought my car about a year ago from here. Tasi was awesome, and they did good by me. BUT! The body shop is THE WORST!! All I needed was a new bumper, and Sean constantly puts me off, does not call me back, and I have waited almost a month now to get my car fixed. I've heard excuse after excuse. I would never recommend anyone to this body shop. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Preferred Chevy of Grand Haven as made my new car buying experience awesome!! Michael Moncel has been awesome to work with. I told him what I was looking for and he found exactly what I wanted. Thanks to all involved for making my new car buying experience awesome.
Worst service ever. We purchased a 2016 Buick Enclave back August 2015. On March 2016 we noticed that the interior chrome trimming had some sort of spots that don't come off. We took it to the dealer where we purchased it. They tried to clean the spots. Long story short they are still giving us the run around. I talked to one of rhe managers and still nothing. Smh. I don't like Preferred in Grand Haven, MI.
You make getting my car serviced a real pleasure.
Efficient and clean, friendly.
We had a wonderful experience at Preferred Chevrolet! We worked with Robert Corbett and couldn't have asked for a better person to work with! He found us the car we were looking for and made purchasing the vehicle as seamless and easy as possible.
Walked in and told Brad Johnson I wanted to test drive a car I am interested i but i wasn't buying today. He took forever to get the car ready for me to drive, he was more focused on trying to find other options to try to sell. He took all my information just to drive the car when he could have simply made a copy of my license. He was more worried about making a sale that wasnt there instead of listening to what I wanted. I took it for a drive and loved the car but I still don't want to buy because I want to explore my options. He ran some numbers and I told him I want to keep a copy for consideration. He then start pushing to sign and that he wants my business. I told him I wasnt buying and he kept pushing to sell. I dont if Ill be buying the car but if I do it wont be from him. It was a waste of time honestly.
Everyone at Preferred was very friendly and professional. I felt like they genuinely wanted to help me and worked hard for my business. The General Manager, Tony Franklin, is a real class act. Greeting me warmly and treating me like family. My sales consultant, Matthew Koops, was genuine, trustworthy, and took the time to help me find the vehicle that was right for me. I was impressed that he walked me through the different features of the cars I was test driving. Even after the sale, both Tony and Matthew have gone above and beyond to make sure I'm satisfied with my new vehicle and to address any questions or concerns I had. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with Preferred and their level of service and commitment to their customers and the vehicles they sell.
NOT preferred treatment...that's for sure. We love our car. But several things were just done in a poor manner.
1. Car had very little gas in it when we got it. (Have always gotten a car with at least 1/2 tank when I purchased elsewhere).
2. The agreed upon things were not completed and they asked us to come back and have it serviced...not a problem, but they knew we lived 20 miles away in a different town. The loaner car they gave us had less than an 1/8th of a tank. I drive for work so I had to put in my own gas and didn't know what kind of gas mileage the loaner got, so I made sure I had enough. They now have the loaner with 1/2 tank of gas. So we made two special trips up there so they could fix what they did NOT do right the first time, and we had to purchase the gas.
3. No attention to the little things...back wiper didn't work when we drove off and it's probably just a fuse. When we brought it back for the things THEY didn't do...they didn't have time to check that.
4. We were not treated like preferred customers. Once that car was off the lot...they had no time for us.
Ever buy a car WITHOUT TEST DRIVING IT? I guess I JUST DID!!! I have bought all my cars from Preferred I will NEVER GO BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guys bent over backward to make me happy! (I was sort of a pain... haha). Austin was personable and always available if I had questions or needed help!
Friendly took a bit longer then I thought it should have for an oil change when I was the only one there
I walked into the service department, and couldn t get an employee to you and acknowledge me for 10 minutes. I finally made an oil change appointment and tire rotation. And then for me I didn t have the key to unlock my rims... They explain the last time I was in there was the same issue. And they did nothing to help me they told me to find the key and come back. I went to Betten Baker they were amazing. Every time I go to your place it s a terrible experience.
Five starts for the salesman. Robert Corbett was a fantastic salesman to work with, displaying a level of integrity and respect not commonly found in a car salesman. The car in question was a used 2017 Chevy Malibu that was discovered to have a rodent nest in the engine bay. Robert was quick to make it right, as well as being prompt at returning all messages, finding any and all additional information requested, and constantly going above and beyond the requirements of his job.
Service manager John was awesome. Even took the time to price different tires for me while they were completing my oil change. Awesome job by everyone all around. Clean and spacious waiting area with fireplace, tv, as well as refreshments. Very good experience overall.
Our salesman Robert was helpful at every turn right from the minute we pulled into the parking lot. From the test drive to finding us the best loan possible, we were able to buy the perfect family car. With the sales closed, we were still offered post-game service in many ways. Will definitely look here again when purchasing our next car.
I am extremely disappointed in my purchase from this dealer. Bought a gmc terrain 4 months ago and of course it ran perfectly until the 3 month warranty had expired and now I have had nothing but problems. I have spent thousands so far to keep this car in working order and just bought it 4 months ago! Stay away if you are looking for a reliable vehicle!
Got a truck from the used car. They fixed the catalytic converter as part of the deal. While fixing the converter they broke my break lines and wanted to charge me $1300. I will never go back.
We recently purchased a vehicle from this establishment and it was a disaster from the beginning. I had to put gas into the vehicle to even test drive it. Strike one... Then I dedicated I would like to purchase the vehicle and had to wait over 20 minutes for another shopper to get back from a test drive. Apparently they can t actually sell the cars at the smaller dealership. What s the point then? Strike 2... we addressed all the issues with the dealer, and he said he would have it all fixed. We spent about five hours at this dealership when we were approved for the car in the first hour...The brakes I was told would be done all the way around and all they did was turn the rotors on the front and put new pads.the windshield washer did not work, I was told that it would be fixed... got the car and the solvent sprays all over under the hood due to a leaking component. Really... this is a twenty dollar part that they want me to drive all the way to grand haven for because they screwed up.. they have a Toyota right in Grand Rapids, but since their mechanic screwed up they will not fix it in Grand Rapids. What a screwed up reason for a 20 dollar part.. all the same company. It was a bad experience from beginning to end and I will never buy a vehicle from any dealership that is affiliated with this name.
I had to bring my vehicle back into the service group 5 miles after picking it up. They initially did and oil change and changed out 6 spark plugs. One of the plugs was bad, and I had to take additional time off work to bring it in a second time for them to change out an already new plug.
Had a problem with my warranty I had purchased. John Vancalbergh when above and beyond by fixing the issue. Thankful to have a dealership I can trust.
The engine on my Jeep seized up unexpectedly so I did not go into the car buying ordeal with a smile, in fact I don't think I smiled once until I met Ben Battaglia! He came recommended to me from a friend who has had an excellent experience working with him and Preferred Chevy in GH. I had gone to a few other dealerships but Ben just seemed like the most trustworthy option - I'm glad I went with my gut. Anyways, he put me in several cars and then realized how much I wanted to be in an SUV. He really took the time to sit down, figure out what I wanted, what my price range was, test drove several vehicles etc and so on. One day he called me up, "Hey I got an Equinox here that I think you're going to love, fresh trade in". He showed it to me, we test drove it, and I was sold. I loved it. I was still heart broken over my Jeep, but he really made me feel at ease with the entire experience. I would highly recommend him and the guys over at Preferred - They're a bunch of fun loving, down to earth, honest guys. Really, everyone there was great. I have to thank everyone I worked with, Ben, Jody, Mark (who I think shows up for comedic relief). Excellent experience!
If you are looking for a good dealership, and someone to help you Austin is your guy. He is very helping in a confusing situation like buying a car!
I called first thing in the morning for an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation.
When I arrived I was not on the service schedule.
The service scheduler made sure I got the oil change in a timely fashion even though he did not have me on his schedule. Great job! Thank you.
We recently leased a new GMC from Preferred and were assisted by Dan Benham. I was greatly impressed by the follow through and follow up by Dan and the dealership in general...thanks Preferred!
I would like to give a shout-out of appreciation to Peter Robinson and the Service Department at Preferred Chevy Buick GMC of Grand Haven for their support in resolving service related issues and questions regarding my recent pre-owned purchase from the dealership. Peter's manner is no-nonsense and knowledgeable, while Jim Shlaffer's willingness to set things right have been a breathe of fresh air in the ofttimes stressful purchasing process. Keep up the good work!
Sales agent is the best one i have had in all the new car purchases i have done, many.
Nice place, sales person ( initials HC ) was fun to deal with. There are closer dealerships, but its worth the drive for me.
Poor service. Broke down on the way home from work. They were unwillibg to help because I didn't have an appointment.
Great Service department, I have always been satisfied with their work. They have always got me in and out when when they have said that they would. NOW the sales department is another story, I have tried to buy my last 3 new vehlicle's from this dealership, their salesmen (if that is what you want to call them)are to busy talking to each other to talk to customers, or won't get back to you if they do talk to you. The last time I was in their showroom the only one that would talk to me was the receptionist, who called over a salesman that told me to come back in 2 months instead of taking my name and number and calling me back. They must be paying these sales people too much or they are not working on commission.
Had the oil changed and a tire fixed. They didn't resit the change oil light or the low tire light. Not happy with this .
Campbell, Renee, Deon (I'm not sure how he spells that) they are all fantastic to work with. Sales, service, detailing....they do an excellent job. Above and beyond my expectations. Thank you!!!
Have you heard the following sayings:
3 strikes your out or if you can t say anything nice don t say anything at all-I think enough has been said. We will not be dealing with these people any longer. Not the people we have dealt with when this business was owed by Gage. Incompetency and lack of follow through is not a business I want to do business with.
They took Great Care of me . Preferred's Matt Daniels and Blake are the best they didn't make me feel like I wanted something they couldn't do. They did it without any question. This is the place to go for a new or used card.
I enjoyed my experience at Preferred because of the attention to detail when interacting with the personel. There was a question I had after I got home and called about and Crag was more than happy to explain the reson for the smell after a spark plug change. He was very apologetic about not advising me before I left but said it would disapate after I filled the gas tank. It did disappear and i'm quite satisfied.
Every one was friendly and the wait time was minimal.
Ryan Myers was great. didn't waste my time with a bunch of BS trying to sell me stuff i don't want or need. Straight to the point and got me out of the dealership very quickly.
Got a brand new chevy blazer about 3 months ago worked with Alicia Davis absolutely great experience to work with her i will definitely be back to see her for my next vehicle
We had an amazing experience! Many thanks for the excellent service and attention to details. Kudos to Matt Koops and Brad Holwerda for everything!!
Placed an order with parts. Gave them my VIN and paint code and they placed an order for some touch of paint. Came in a few days later and picked it up. I called because when I opened it the color didn't look right so I called. He was condescending and rude and insisted it was just the primer and went on about how he's been in the business 30 years and to continue with the clear coat because that's were the pigment was.. I should have not listened to him and stuck with my gut because he did in fact give me the WRONG paint. His solution was telling me to "just paint over it" and he would make sure "they" ordered the write part this time. Said it would be in in a few days. Called me the next morning and said he just "found" my paint locally. Instead of owning up to his mistake and offering a solution he was dishonest.
They did an excellent job. Service was great and our car was ready before expected. I'mpressive since it was a power steering pump and reservoir. Very happy!
Was treated fairly and the work was done properly and quickly. I was advised of additional possible problems with the car and explained all of my options. Peter is a great advisor, and I would trust my service with this group. I have been getting my service done here many times, and I will continue.
Campbell Stevenson is awesome. No pressure or games. Unlike the clowns down the road. His customer service skills are A+. I highly recommend him. I've bought/leased several cars, this was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences. He will be my first call next time I'm in the market for a car.
If someone gets mega pressured for that end of year sale, move on from this. If you are vaguely interested in a used car and your salesperson says they need something out of your car, make sure you retrieve your property back.
We took our business elsewhere and were very satisfied. They didn t over warranty yes and there was no pressure. Went elsewhere to find a huge selection. Service center always good!
Haven t even bought from them because the communication through email has been horrible. I can t even tell they want to sell me a car. Asking questions I already gave answers to in previous emails. Emails ignored and not answered until I follow up again. It takes two seconds to look at my last email and find the answer they re looking for. I didn t even respond to their last email (due to them asking a question I ve already answered) and the fact that they haven t followed up and aren t trying at all just confirms that they don t care and aren t really trying to sell me a vehicle.
If any of you have a subaru... forget the muskegon dealer take it here! A couple of subaru lovers here and they both have helped me tremendously!
I had a great experience working with Thurlow Weed. Very helpful, we found the perfect car, and went out of his way to make it a good experience!
