Considering the volume of business conducted at 142 lower Road post office. They should be upgraded to a five star service. The staff are always professional and polite.

It's a small post office, so expect to queue a little, especially at busy times. Staff are polite and helpful and I go out of my way to come here over other local post offices.

Went in today and although the shop is open until seven the Post Office shuts at 1730, really frustrating when you have parcels to collect!

The lady is lovely but I was recently served by a condescending young chap with a northern accent. Will avoid in future. Total let down.

Non-existent customer service, it's more convenient for me but I'd always choose to go to the Evelyn street branch over this one, so much friendlier!

The serive is efficient, my favourite is Ayashmita, she has a great professional service attitude and super experienced, highly recommended

Was confused by mailing because I'm not familiar with it. One member of the staff was impatient, rude and unfriendly. I'll go somewhere else next time.

The service here is beyond poor with the exception of one, the woman who is always friendly and efficient. No consistency, ridiculously long queues and poor customer service. And even now when the country is faced with a crisis they proudly advertise hand sanitizer way beyond market value prices trying to capitalise at a time like this, beyond shameful.

I often use this post office just before jumping on the train. Sometimes the queues are long but this is normal has it is on a busy road and is a small shop. Used this service as the staff are quite quick. Always send 1st class as their 2nd service seems to be quite slow.

Would give 5* because everyone who works here is absolutely lovely except the older man with the gold chain and gold rings. He can be a bit rude and I've seen his own colleagues tell him to be nicer to customers.

Absolute special mention to Martin who is consistently rude, abrupt and arrogant. Has one of the rudest attitudes I have experienced in a Post Office. Very surprised that he has been given positive feedback because from personal experience and that of family and friends, it is 100pc negative. Will never use again. You can put one time down to a bad day but not everytime .Appallingly shocking.

the white male martin is impolite and incompetent. on two occasions he's made mistakes with proof of posting and when confronted with his errors no apology is given. I suggest that everyone complains about him to customer services.

It is very busy Post Office. I use it about 5 days per week. They have some of the fastest and harder working staff.
I did try to use other Post Offices in London, these one is so far the best.
I wish all Post offices would have "Business lane - queue " for us that need to be in and out promptly and have no need to chat.

It's a small post office in a very busy area, with a lot of traffic. This often leads to exacerbated customers due to the long waits, despite the staff's best efforts!

I'm very surprised to the poor rating this post office has. It is my local one and they always treat me very nicely. The staff is kind and always interested to know about my day.

Once my parcel got delivered to this post office and turned out they gave it "accidentaly" to someone else who looks like me without asking for ID. This kind of a service in nothing close to the standards. This basically goes to stolen items cathegory for me and the post office could do nothing to help me to track it down. All they suggested me to go back to the source company to ask for help. However, it was never the source company fault it was the post office who gave my parcel to a stranger.

The queue was long today but the staff was very efficient and helpful!

Never stays open to advertised opening hours. Seems they close whenever they feel like it. Some days I have been served at 19:30, other days on the door it says they are closed at 17:30. Totally unreliable and a waste of precious time.

Crowded and long queue, many people without face covering and not keeping distance. Also I was advised to split the parcel in two to save money, ended up spending even more

Arbaaz was very helpful in helping me with securing my packages and gave ample advice on different option of posting and prices. Very cheerful team, always happy to be back.

this post office tends to overcharge people. better avoid

Staff is very unprofessional. When I was waiting in line a man came up to me and asked, what's my business in Post office, didn't introduce himself didn't have a badge or anything. I said it's personal as any normal person would say to a random person approaching to what he answered "just stay in the line then" with discusting attitude. Only later I realised that he works in the post office. As there are many criminals and drug addicts in this area, your not going to say "hey, yes I need to deposit cash in my account, feel free to stab me and rob me". Educate your staff and give them name tags with Post Office logo or something.

I have been going to this post office for few years now and honestly I'm very happy with costumer service,staff are very friendly always with a smile and I never had any complaint .well done!!

Consistently rude, sexist and arrogant. Has been like this for years. I wish they get closed down. I tried their service again after a few years only to notice that nothing has changed. Save yourself the insult and go to the post office on Jamaica Road where you are met with polite, friendly and efficient staff.

Always long queues, which isn't too bad if you have a good service afterward. But you wait for over ten minutes and you end up talking to very rude staff. They make you feel like you are bothering them just for posting something. They will always try to over charge you for postage, be wary. Know the price before you arrive or they will squeeze as much as they can from you.

If you can avoid it, try the Jamaica Road or Evelyn Street branches, much more professional.

Deliberately charged me 2.5x the standard rate, because they felt like it. If you can go anywhere else, go anywhere else.

The service is just appalling! Is anyone even checking how poor service is there as it doesn t look like pos office assistant even cares! I was concerned over my parcel being delivered safely once left the post office.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Yes queues can be long sometimes, but it s a busy post office! I use this place a few times a week and don t have a bad word to say about the staff or service.

The best experience ! Ayasmita, Jeeban are simply fantastic.
I ve seen Ayasmita going out of her way to help people. I once saw her helping a very old man with his query . This post office has to be the best. I don t know why so many negative reasons - May be the reviewers do not realise that having a long queue or not getting a certain service which isn t available at the post office isn t their fault but the Royal Mail s fault- for eg- amazon only provides return labels that can t be returned at this post office (needs to be returned at the huge Royal Mail branches) but I ve seen many customers being rude, condescending to the staff just because they are unable to accept these parcels . Ive seen some customers calling them all sorts of names. Customers need to understand that they have to remind them of rules - I once saw a man being aggressive to Ayasmita because he couldn t post 7 perfumes and when Ayasmita reminded him of this rule, he got incredibly rude and angry.
This is the nicest post office I ve seen and sad how people here are writing such negative reviews .

Always very busy but staff are polite and respectful.

I sent 3 similar envelopes to London recipients. The officer weighed them and I paid the bill he presented to me. 2 of the recipients had to pay extra at the reception because the postage was wrong. It's a shame. I will not be returning to this place again.

I had my passport check here and the female clerk was so friendly and very helpful!

The queues are always long and they seem a bit disorganised. The staff are not friendly and so the customer service is dry. There is need for dividers when transacting money transactions as everyone sees what you're collecting - too open.

I posted a letter first class and the letter was lost!! It is a very important financial letter, its loss has resulted in a significant amount of financial loss to me. Extremely unhappy with the service!!!

Service has improved over the past few months. Previously one star, then 3 and now 4 star. Staffs are dressed nicely and formally. Good to see such changes.

I had a really bad experience with them.
They were very rude and not available at all.
I went there to deliver an item and they made me pay to print the label and they couldn't even help me to attach it to the package. They asked me to buy a tape to do that. In addition the price of the envelop I had to buy was overpriced. I paid 4 pound in total to ship a ps4 game...

People are incompetent and lazy. They change and make up times that services are provided based on their mood.

Just witnessed the big, redheaded white guy, Martin, at the photo / post office counter be incredibly racist towards an elderly foreign man who didn't understand English. He kept rudely telling him "everybody understands English. What's in the package? What's in the package?! and when they guy said he didn't understand Martin kept repeating himself. Disgusting behaviour. The old man eventually gave up and Martin rudely muttered after him "You're getting old". WHAT ON EARTH?!? I will be attempting to contact the owners to alert them to this man's horrendous behaviour

They consistently sell you the most expensive postage options and tell you there is no other option. I did my research and chose the service I wanted in royal mail website and they basically fob you off with excuses. Terrible tactics. My More

Rude staff, telling there is no parcel despite confirmation of redelivery from royal mail. Opening hours state that it's open from 7.30am but in fact for parcel collection it's only open from 9.00am

I would give them no stars if possible.
I attempted to return Amazon parcels on two occasions and was turned away. The staff turned me away saying they cannot scan my QR code after trying no longer than 5 seconds. The second time they were unable to print out an email. Computer illetarate people shouldn't be trusted to operate computers in front of customers.
On both occasions I had been in the que for longer than 15 minutes and the staff had rude and dismissive attitudes. A bit of interest in the job would go a long way.
