Went to a conference there, food was good and the conference rooms were nice
I was there for a conference. Very nice place for a conference, good food and drink at the Copy Editor (bat).
Beautiful building, awesome view. Service was top-notch. Nothing was "bad"
Awesome place.
Our family has had a great stay here! The rooms are well appointed and the location is central to a lot of fun things in Portland. Most importantly, the staff here is not only professional but also friendly!
WOW and WOW! We absolutely loved staying here, The breakfast is also the most amazing continental breakfast we've ever had. The choices were outrageous! Excellent experience
We had to stay here for a cheer competition (team gets disqualified if you don't stay at the appointed hotel). The staff was nice, the room (while small for the price even at a discount) and the place itself looked nice. For once the shower head was up higher for some of us tall people.
However, for the price I expected more. No microwaves in the rooms, no pool, no continental breakfast included and (if it wasn't for the niceness of the staff) no free wifi either. On top of that, if you want to park there you're forced to valet for 44$ a day. Even with places right around for much less.
To be clear here, we've staying in many hotels with cheer and for the same price have had all of those included at almost all of them. The only thing those others lacked was a pool.
Very nice location. Very nice, though not terribly sizeable room.
Nice hotel, nice people, but they elected to not open their gym so not for me.
Great location, rooms were very clean and nice, service was great.
Food service was good. Food tasted well for a hotel.
Rooms are OK. Could be larger. Hotel is in a great location near downtown activities. Service is prompt and courteous.
Some staff great, such as morning crew at M Club. Check in was disappointing. Assigned a bad room (they have several layouts and varying amenities within the same room class - I.e. some with desks, some not; some with arm chair; some not).
The room was great amazing view of the river. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was attentive and helpful. Looking forward to staying again.
Great hotel next to waterfront. Friendly checkin staff and severs at retaurants. Made my first night great after a long and my visit nice!
Tried to have a good night here but it was noisy and a bit too much going on at all hours of the night
This is a very clean, very nice venue. My room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was super friendly. The bar has a great selection of beers and also puts on a good feed.
Great hotel! A little dated on the outside, but the inside is awesome!
Very nice room. Soft comfortable bed, friendly staff, and wonderful location to the waterfront. The bathroom was a little small and some of the complinentary items cheep.
very nice rooms, great location, although a bit expensive
So not worth it. $32 valet parking is your only option, unless you want it in a lot around the corner forva few bucks less. The room was small and at all what the confirmation had promissed. Oh and avoid the "starbucks". All it is is the bar with out booze and a espresso machine. Not a real coffee shop
Location was convenient for local stores and shops. It was under construction so certain areas were blocked off within and surrounding the hotel. Unfortunately, the refrigerator wasn't working. Also, the screen door for the restroom were a bit odd. I wish they could've had regular locked doors just for privacy reasons.
The Marriott has a great view of the river, is VERY clean, has comfortable beds, surprisingly excellent food in the onsite restaurant, and is in easy walking distance to a plethora of excellent shops, restaurants, entertainment, and transportation (such as the MAX light rail). Definitely a great place to stay!
Super convenient location, overnight parking is expensive, but there are plenty of street parking options.
Wonderful view of the river and great access to downtown.
Good clean rooms and friendly staff. I can only give it 4 stars because overnight valet is overpriced at $42
This hotel is pretty "glam" for Portland. I do have to say they have the worst rooms for their gold elite members. Their city side is so noisy. We were on the 10th floor and was still haunted by car alarms, crows, and street noises. I personally think it's WAY too expensive for the quality of sleep, room, and bed. I also found a bunch of hair from the guest before in my tub. This is my second time staying here. Portland needs better hotel options.
My boyfriend and I decided to stay at this hotel for our first visit to Portland. They completely exceeded our expectations in every way. The concierge/check in staff was so welcoming and gave us great help in deciding what to see around the city. The housekeeping staff always did a lovely job, and even organized my toiletries for me our first day here. In addition to having a great breakfast restaurant and bar within the hotel itself (Truss and Proof Reader) the M Club Lounge was an excellent aspect of our stay; the staff was very helpful and kind, and having a place to relax and grab a quick snack was much appreciated. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
Was very nice and clean, but most of the hotel was under construction.
Great location, upscale atmosphere, waking distance to everything you need.
The hotel is beautiful. The room and view very nice. I didnt appreciate paying for extra service and amenities, not getting those, letting management know and simply being told we appreciate your feedback. Kelsey was awesome at check in. But i dont know if ill be back because of how the situation was handled. This was my husbands and I 25th anniversary so a special evening out. I obviously didnt let it ruin our time but it was just handled poorly.
We had a room with a view of the river and Mt. Hood. Everything exceeded our expectations! The hotel was great; the room was pretty, roomy, and the bed with the new down pillows was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept in. The city is so pretty and we did a lot of sightseeing--a city tour, a visit to Mt. Hood and the Columbia Gorge, one day we drove through the wine country and visited wineries, one day we drove to the coast and visited Cannon Falls, Seaside and Astoria as well as Fort Clatsop for the replica of Lewis and Clark's winter fort. In Portland, the Japanese Garden and the Rose Gardens are simply beautiful. We enjoyed excellent food at several restaurants. The city of Portland was just a wonderful place to visit and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see a beautiful American city.
Stuck here due to the new Ice Age in Portland. Very nice rooms and staff.
I will leave a zero star if I can. Booked a guaranteed city view King room but provided with a low level room where pedestrians walked by our window. Negotiated with front desk staffs but they rudely replied that everyone wanted a King room and this is the only choice we could have.
Rude and unprofessional staffs, worst hotel ever.
Comfortable hotel. Convenient to downtown and other locations
Clean rooms and hospitable guest. Experience was almost perfect
Great location and comfortable rooms with clean, modern style. Loved our stay there!
Room was nice. Bed was comfy. Service was good and everyone was nice. The A/C in our room was really noisy (rattled). It would be nice if there was a nightlight or dim light in the bathroom. The club-level breakfast food was OK, but the room was nice. They only had Pepsi products.
Room was nice. Jazz festival across the street could be heard in room (not too loud) and ended at 11pm. Bed was comfy. Staff was courteous. Valet parking was quite expensive $39. 8/10 would stay again.
Beautiful location. Beautiful building. Great rooms and room service. The customer service at the front desk and outside at the front doors was top-notch. Best hotel experience ever.
Valet brought the car back with a flat tire. It was completely flat (5psi). He didn't mention anything and it was a couple of blocks before I could pull over and look at what was making the weird noise. I was surprised to find the flat tire and because it was driven whole completely flat, it had to be replaced. While flat tires happen, I would have appreciated a warning by the valet that the tire was flat instead of finding out on the road.
Great rooms and amazing location. Check in was convenient. Only gripe is the TV in the room had aliasing issue with blue edges around picture.
David Kimble My company has it's new year budget meeting there, along with banquet. Service, food and accommodations were wonderful as always.
Very nice rooms. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. Nice bar area.
Very nice..would definitely return on our next trip to Portland!
My wife, toddler, and I stayed here for about 5 days. We stayed on the 15th floor and were giving one of the best views from a hotel I've seen in a long time. The M-lounge was a really great experience as well. They have top notch staff. Managers, concierge, and valet all remembered my name and my families names making it feel like a really great place to bring your love ones. Since I can't demand everyone stay here, I would give the highest recommendation one can and I can't wait to go back.
Thank you for great service!
Location, location, location! If you re coming to PDX this is the place to stay. You re close to the river and lots of cute eateries. The service is amazing and the staff met every need I had. You ll be glad to chose this hotel.
The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The main ballroom was uncharacteristically warm, but the food was plentiful and transitioned quickly enough to keep the 800 or so people moving.
A great hotel! Fastest/friendliest valets the city!
Convenient location. Friendly staff. Great food. Nice view. I would definitely be back again.
Not impressed at all. The hotel didn't mention that the lobby area was being completely redone while our stay was occurring. If I had known that the bar and restaurant etc. that were advertised where not available I would never have booked the hotel for our trip. When I emailed him about this they basically said you can cancel and will not be charged; the problem is that this was 3 days before our stay so we obviously couldn t book another hotel. The rooms are average. We asked at the front desk for some Advil as my wife had a headache and we were told that they would send it up to our room, but they never did it and didn t even call to say why. I wouldn t recommend this hotel at all
Love this place! Wonderful staff, amazing weekend. Best views!
The rooms are always clean and well maintained, and many have excellent river or city views. The bar gets very busy when large conventions are going on which keeps things lively. Right across the street is Riverfront Park, a great place to walks, run or bike.
Excellent location and fabulous rooms. Hotel staff are wonderful
The rooms look amazing, the extra features like the fitness center ain't bad, and the staff has been friendly. The restaurant tied to the hotel is not bad either. Unfortunately no free wifi for those who need it.
This hotel has a nice location and nice rooms, but what makes it a better hotel than others with similar rooms and locations is its people. They are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Each one from housekeeping, to food service, to hotel tech guy to the front desk was willing to do whatever it took to help, and did it in a very pleasant way. Examples include being able to check in at 8:00 in the morning on the first day of a conference with no extra charges, a tech guy who sought an answer about a piece of hotel art I asked about, non-feather pillow delivery from housekeeping, and food servers who made sure to keep me safe in spite of food allergies. I would recommend highly to anyone I know.
The location is lovely by the river. The hotel is clean with great amenities. The staff provided all that was needed and were very respectful. The food was excellent.
Nice location and overall good service. HVAC is noisy as a truck in your room... so I went for a warmer room during the night!
This is a very nice location for events. It has a very luxurious lobby. This hotel is big!
Everything was great till we realized the super thin walls. (Every moan.every squeak. Every sound from our neighbor)
Nice rooms with views, although the shape of the rooms can be strange. Great views. Nice beds. Clean.
Professional Staff. Very accommodating from Valet, to front desk, to house keeping.
On foot tourists be aware this is a bit out of the happening area of downtown Portland. But fantastic spot for waterfront, access to highways and the bridges.
Thanks for the great weekend... great room at a great price.
Delicious menu, wonderful smelling bath products, comfortable bedding, excellent service.
Clean hotel. Modern updated amenities. Friendly staff. And delicious room service. Good location.
The hotel is in a great location on the river and an easy walk to all of downtown. The rooms are great and the conference facilities are great as well.
The staff was very helpful even after I was a day late in arriving due to flight issues. My room was quiet, clean, and comfortable..
It was a perfect location for our weekend. Lots of things nearby.
My elderly mother and I stayed in March. The staff was wonderful helping me get my mother comfortable and went so far as to give me a late check-out just so she could comfortably wake up and get ready. I have only good things to say about the hotel, staff and club breakfast area.
A higher-end Marriott expect to pay for parking But the rooms are very nice and very comfortable beds
Classy, great workout facility, MClub, nice views, good location
Great food and drinks at the lobby bar/lounge. Attentive and personable service. Went there on Saturday night for a late snack and drinks after a show. The bartender on duty was very nice. Our food included an order of shoestring fries, a salmon salad, and a chicken tortilla soup. Our cocktails were the signature pisco sours. I'd order them all again without hesitation.
People were nice. Nice size restaurant and bar is inside of Marriott. Had to pay for WiFi that's why 4 stars but otherwise bad was very very comfortable, didn't hear any noise and had a nice river view from our room.
We had a horrible time due to the DHS people stomping in and out of the hallways all night long.
Nice stay and located at the waterfront makes it even more beautiful.
I am a Marriott rewards member and attended a work specific conference here. My room was nicely apportioned but the color on the TV was really weird, making flesh tones look green. I really would have enjoyed logging into my own Netflix account on their system if it wasn't for that. The bathrooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. For being a busy convention hotel, the rooms were pretty quiet which I appreciated. My only negatives - the elevators were running incredibly slowly so it was often faster to take the stairs. On days 2 and 3 of my stay, there was no hot water for showering in the morning. In a large hotel, I wouldn't have expected that to be the case. And as a rewards member, I wasn't offered my choice of room type which was disappointing as other convention attendees, who aren't rewards members, were given the option of a king bed, or 2 queens.
Pretty nice. Breakfast was dope, location is good too.
Great event space! Staff was amazing and polite. Bathrooms were spotless.
Comfortable, quiet, cozy,Portland vibe. Park on street free, garage 44 dollars per night.
It was a nice atmosphere, good location across from the waterfront. Fast abd very friendly service.
