Very friendly staff and great location. My room was very clean and the bed and pillows were quite comfortable. The decorations we're very cool and I liked the feel of the room with the lights at the head of the bed. The rooms at the front of the hotel had some pretty neat views from what I could see. The lobby is very cozy and was a nice place to hang out.

Our room, which was on the south side of the hotel, had a lot of noise from the street below even with the windows closed. That made for a night of not so great sleep when we were constantly being awoken by engines revving and loud motorcycles going up the street. However, Ricky at the front desk promptly moved us to the other side of the hotel with no problems. Other than that first night, we enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Nice balcony, great decor in the rooms, m lounge was fantastic. Best service experience I've ever had at an m lounge thanks to the great bartender. Great location, friendly staff. I stay at Marriott often and this is one of my favs.

The staff initially had an issue with my reservation and credit card authorization form. It took a little work from the staff, but the issue was resolved. They even offered a free drink at the bar as an apology for the inconvenience. The hotel itself is newly renovated, very clean, and had a very nice bar. The hotel is located in the downtown area of Portland, conveniently located near local businesses, coffee shops, and many restaurants.

Great view. Clean rooms and pleasant staff. Not ideal for business travelers -- lots of families and tourists, so it can be loud. Overall, nice spot -- recommended if you're in town for holiday.

I only got to see the lobby and ballrooms of the hotel during my convention, but the location was great. Staff was friendly and professional, and the location right on the river downtown was perfect. This was a great convention venue.

Meeting space is nice. It is easy to get around and find the correct room. Ice water was always filled. Only complaint is because the meeting space is in the basement, phone signal is poor.

Super friendly staff! The room was a little spendy but totally worth it. Very clean and the complimentary club room was awesome! The valet did a great job as well. Room service was quick and yummy!

Expensive add ons at every turn, construction behind the hotel starts at 5 am, side streets all closed, crowded public areas, housekeeping doesn't come until 5 pm and doesn't leave refill on coffee. Just a difficult experience for the considerable expense.

Rather nice location that is close to downtown. Service could be better when regarding room service (my shirt was grabbed with a bundle of towels), but everything else was great. If you decide to eat here, get the all you can eat buffet. Lots of conveniently delicious food for a reasonable price.

Great stay. Staff was fantastic and the food was great.

My only small gripe was the windows on our floor had this tint/film on them. It made it hard to see clearly out of the windows. So it disrupted the super pretty views.

Was locked in elevator, and when I called to see about an overcharge I was left on hold long enough to just drive there myself to ask about it, then the woman at the desk laughed at the idea that I said you might mention such a high tax being added to the nightly rate. I ve never paid tax on a room anywhere even in Oregon. Brat at the rest should be fired.

Staff graciously left chocolates and a bottle of champagne in our room for our 50th anniversary. Room was spotless and the river view at night from the 9th floor was gorgeous. As always, the customer service at Marriott is so accommodating.

When we arrived at the hotel, the room we wanted wasn't quite available yet. The employee who was helping us was very apologetic and gave us a coupon for discounted drinks at the bar while waiting only an extra 15 minutes. When we were notified our room was ready, we were pleasantly surprised to find we were getting placed a few floors higher than where we were originally supposed to be (we wanted the view). Overall, we had a great stay and found the service to be top notch and the room very updated and modern. This hotel will be at the top of my list when considering where to stay during my next visit to Portland.

Mid week check in. Paid $180 for the room. $50 for on site parking. Restaurant not open so no room service. They wanted d $14.00 for WI-FI and $4.00 for a bottle of water. My room had water damage to the ceiling in the bathroom. The person that helped me book the room was very deceptive about all the extra costs. As in when I asked she didn't say a word! Overall happy I didn't end up with bedbugs and the valet service people are nice. I generally enjoy giving a great review but this place made it hard. I won't be staying again.

Not impressed. Booked a room from Sept 23rd to 27th, arrangements changed and arrived on the 24th and room was given away. I tried to call the number provided on the reservation to let them know but gentleman was not able to help and I was not able to contact them again. Getting charged $217 dollar no show fee.

Rooms are still very comfortable but starting to show wear. The waterfront rooms are probably overpriced but we were there for the blues festival so expected. Only wish they'd have cleaned the glass sliding doors prior to the festival. The outsides were dirty and detracted from the overall experience. Room service is great and quick. Almost cheaper than eating out.

I didn't stay here, however the service and the facilities were very nice. The staff were attentive and there was free hot cider in the lobby! Now THAT'S service! On the other hand, I heard the WiFi was a bit slow, but in all fairness I've also never been to a hotel and exclaimed "dang, this hotel WiFi is FAST!"

Overall, the place is good. They've done a good job adapting for COVID-19. Housekeeping is showing some cracks though. (I.e. no shampoo). I also wasn't crazy about $4 cups of coffee. Gone are the days of coffee in the room, it seems.

Got a room overlooking the waterfront. It's under construction but the service was top notch and the quality of service was top notch the people there take care of you no matter what, Covid be damned!

Big and very clean rooms. Great position in front of the river and very close to the center of the city. Poor breakfast, far away from our expectations, considering the level of the hotel. Constructions near to the hotel made our stay noise at the mornings, not even thinking to let windows open, although very nice weather.

Attended the NANP conference as a vendor and sponser which was hosted by Marriott. Beautiful building, exceptional customer service, clean building. Only issue is the front staff made a small mistake with bags that were being held during dinner.

I checked in about 30 minutes ago (it's 12:43 on 3/30/2013); the gentleman who did the checking upgraded my room (as a kindness I assume as I didn't request one!), was highly accommodating, professional, kind, and, in my opinion, is an absolute asset to this establishment. Also, it helps that he's rather handsome with a very kind smile. Thank you for making my stay (already) enjoyable. I will be staying here again.

Sure, everything is nice. Nice clean room, nice location. But I can get nice at a Holiday Inn. We were here for a conference with my wife. So we stayed here out of convenience. My biggest peeve is that they want to charge $15 a day for access to their WiFi unless you are part of their "little club". I can get free WiFi in the motel across the river. Just as convenient location and they dont try to gouge me on everything. The restaurant is super pricey as well and the food is mediocre at best. I'm unimpressed...

Great location for seeing a show at the Keller auditorium. They took great care of us, delivered happy hour treats right on time. Clean modern room, comfy for four ladies enjoying a birthday celebration. Short walk to waterfront restaurants. Perfect!

If I could choose ZERO I would. I've never personally stayed here, but I've asked to be put on the do not call list many times and they still call me from different numbers. Might I add, I've blocked each different number they call me from. Talked to many supervisors and nothing done. I'd never stay at a place like that.

Be advised, the walls are paper thin. You will hear people in the next room doing all kinds of things.

Parking is 44 dollars overnight with no option to self park onsite. Huge ripoff.

Basic WiFi is 15 bucks a day.

Otherwise the hotel is a slightly run down Marriot. Nothing fancy.

Don t stay here I stayed here last night and there is skyscraper construction across the street. It began at 5 AM with guys pounding things and pouring concrete. I could hear it even on the 14th floor with my windows closed. At check out I told him how disappointed I was and that I would ve never stayed here if I have known there was construction across the street. The guy said he Heard it also when he arrived this morning and was worried they would get complaints. I said this has clearly been going on for months and likely will continue for another year. He just said I m sorry There are several other Marriott properties in the area, definitely choose one of them, better yet venture off and try one of the cooler independent properties that aren t part of a chain.

Rooms were very nice and cleaned. They must have remodeled them since I was there last year. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Look forward to going to the Marriott every time I go to Portland.
