I would give this hotel 5 stars except there is no hosted anything. Well, that's not fair. They offer cold water in a lovely dispenser. I guess you can say the coffee in the room is hosted but it's not very yummy and the three thimbles of half & half are not enough for two cups.
The room, while small felt cozy instead of cramped. The sliding glass door opening onto the riverfront definitely helped make it feel less constrained.
There is also no pool which I kinda get but no spa and no sauna for a town that is generally cold? That's bananas.
The folx working behind the desk and cleaning the room were great!

Lovely hotel with a responsive staff, check in is quick and easy. You have to valet your car at the hotel, other options include parking at a nearby location but it isn t all day with unlimited access. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom had the usual amenities. Breakfast buffet was really very good with lots of options.

Great location but very strange room layout. The new room service they self describe as like Uber eats which begs the question Uber eats is cheaper and has far greater selection, why not just use Uber eats ?

The beds sleep very hot. Woke up every night sweating. They also overcharged me at checkout by $50 per day. My AAA rate included valet parking but they charged anyway.

Not sure if all Marriotts are like this but This place was disappointing. Not very well suited for business travel. The guy who checked me in was difficult to understand and had to ask me for my name several times and had difficulty finding my reservation even though I was there for a large conference and he seemed to not even be aware of the large conference. The room did not have a good place for working. The closest thing to a desk was poorly designed for working and none of the chairs were ergonomically designed. All of the surfaces were weird heights. The room was also very poorly lit and I had to move a lamp to make light for the poorly designed work area. The temperature in the room was very hard to control and at different times blew out air that was some times way too hot and that other times was very cold. Also the room service all came in disposable packaging as opposed to real tableware.

A couple friends and I stayed here for New Years. After a night on the town we had breakfast in their restaurant. The service was incredible as they kept the breakfast bar open for us when we rolled out of bed late. I was so shocked to be treated so well by staff, they made me feel like royalty. The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside and very clean. The only
thing i noticed was that there wasn't as many amenities as I had wished for the class of the hotel.

This is located down town Portland so no parking except valets which is extremely expensive. There is a fitness room no swimming pool. Depending on where your room is will decide your view, I was fortunate and had a good view of the river, if I was on the other side of hotel, my view would have been construction or more buildings. If enjoy walking, location is great, across the street is waterfront

My stay was okay at first; the room was average. Clean. And the front desk service was very nice checking me and my husband in. It was our second night in the hotel that turned bad. The person at the front desk reminded us that quiet time started at 9pm and there was no smoking on the balconies, which I didn t intend on doing anyway. But the accusatory tone was off putting. Then the morning of check out, our flight was very early so we had to leave the hotel at about 3 am. As we were exiting the elevator, we saw numerous police officers and paramedics in the lobby and outside the hotel. We looked around curiously but there was no hotel workers in sight. We exited the hotel to be surrounded by crime scene tape and police officers, as well as a car covered in blood. We literally walked into the middle of a crime scene. We had to wait outside in the middle of a crime scene as the hotel locked the doors and we no longer had a key to get inside. To say the least, it was a horrifying experience, definitely not how I wanted to end my stay. I was frustrated that no hotel staff was there to warn guests of what was happening or to allow us to enter back inside regarding the circumstances outside. Not the best experience AT ALL.
