From all my Marriott experiences this has been the worst. Marriott is more towards the expensive hotels. The rooms were very small, we got a breakfast included package. The breakfast buffet is fresh but way too limited. Their menu is much better though. The location is very good but will not go there again.

As a lifetime platinum MR member I was under impressed with the room upgrade. Hotel is nice, C Lounge fantastic, but hotel is more of a business conference center than a couples weekend getaway place.

This was a classy fun hotel. I would love to return! The room was beautiful, customer service great, and the 2nd floor restaurant was amazing for breakfast. The only drawback was that the valet was $42.00. O.o

Place is awesome. Did a lot of research cause I'm getting older and had a lot of bad and good travels. Bed was amazing, service great, and everyone friendly. Get the club package. Awesome place

Nice and new, refreshed hotel. The rooms are comfortable and modern and I personally enjoyed the flatscreen and bed. Great location next the Tom McCaw park and riverfront with many places to eat and drink close by. Away from traffic and walking by foot is a breeze if you want to avoid driving. $42 to valet is rather high in price... similar to their in house restaurant "Truss"(heh). Luckily there are plenty of lots to park close by for 1/4 of the price. Overall I'd recommend this hotel and l would stay again.

We booked through a third party employee discount service from my husband's work and when we checked-in (after a long wait) the hotel desk clerk did not give us a double room (what I booked) so we had to use two roll-a-way beds which made the small room we were given extremely crowded. Also when we left, the valet service left us standing outside waiting for our car for over 45 minutes. There were at least 30 people who came out after we did and were brought their cars ahead of us. I would not stay there again for the cost, it's not that great.

The hotel is newly renovated and clean. The staff on the elite level, specifically Pedro is a star, but the wifi was substandard and lead to jerky youtube viewing on the hotel television. The gym cycles were not working properly.

Upscale hotel on the waterfront park in downtown Portland. Clean well appointed rooms, a little short on drawer space. In room coffee, safe and refrigerator. Very nice meeting spaces. Coffee shop and basic restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

A nice hotel with a view of the waterfront. Great staff, clean rooms. I would go here again. Only issue is the location to downtown venues. If you don't mind walking or taking an Uber then you will be good. There are places near the hotel, but not as many in this area of town.

From booking to check out, every experience was great.

My most recent stay here was for my birthday and was treated to a riverview room on the 12th floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful, including the valets. The online check in made things super quick and easy upon arrival, and checking in took only a few seconds.

My room and the hotel in general, are decorated in a portland inspired theme, with my room having a wood cutaway above the bed with a dark wood and leather bed frame. The remodel was well thought out and well executed. Everything looks clean and modern, while keeping the essence of the NorthWest.

The guest service system in the room is operated via the tv and you can connect to your Netflix account, play music from your phone via Bluetooth, get local guides, etc.

The hotel was mostly quiet during my stay, despite being so close to waterfront park and Naito Parkway.

As I did not take advantage of any of the other amenities offered at the hotel like the various restaurants or lounges, I did walk by and they were well laid out with attentive staff.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Portland and appreciate a good view, I would recommend the Waterfont Marriott

The staff here have been wonderful to my wife and I on our visit to Portland. Special consideration was given to us for our stay, and Wade, Pedro, Rose and Marilyn worked hard to make the visit more memorable. The staff is knowledgeable and generous with information about amenities and sights to see around the town. This has been a wonderful trip for us and we owe a great deal to the professional, kind, and courteous team at the Portland Marriott Waterfront.

Kelsey went out of her way to resolve a 3rd party booking issue. She also facilitated a roll out for our picky teens. Despite being under construction it was clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again

Stayed here for a conference on site which was less than stellar but that's on the conference. The rooms were decent sized and I didn't have to pay for parking since I was from out of town. It had a decent location on the river and close to busses to Division Street. Nice hotel but nothing special and not worth the special rate.

Free wifi was spotty and so was the cell reception.

Staff are very helpful and up beat. River views are beautiful.
When big convention is happening, elevator is a huge issue. Have to wait at times 5 - 10 minutes. Other than that. Very nice.

Perfect location for the Blues Festival. Great staff everywhere. Room service has been updated the the 21st century. Order your food on the phone, they call you when is ready, pick it up at the front desk. Amazing...it's hot, fresh and the burger I ordered was awesome. Never expected that good of a burger and fries from a hotel. Wife had the salmon salad and was very pleased. We'll be back next year for another awesome 4th of July Blues Festival.

Being a road warrior, I've spent literally 100s of nights in Marriott properties across the US and Canada. This is one of my favorite hotels, due to the location, view and concierge. When I return to Portland, this is where I'll be staying! Conveniently located to Portland the surrounding suburbs, and a quick drive from the airport are also reasons to like this property. Beds and linens were higher-end and made my stay comfortable.

After wandering across the Tillicum bridge during the winter festival of lights we were starving. Finding most places closed we found ourselves in front of the Marriott and decided we might as well see if they had a lounge, we decided to eat there. I believe it was called the Proof Reader whiskey + craft + kitchen. It wasn't crowded, the waitress was nice. The booths were private surrounded by bookshelves.

One of the friendliest and most efficient Marriotts I have stayed at.

I will miss my Gold status since I do t travel for work anymore, but decided on staying at the Waterfront Marriott while in Portland sine I still have that benefit. Check in took a whole minute and they let me check in and get a room early.

The hotel has a modern and comfortable feel. The room, although small, was comfortable and well laid out. The bed was very comfortable.

I will miss the new M Club. It is open to elite members and is open 24 hours a day with beverages and snacks. They have a great breakfast buffet and evening selections of hor d'oeuvres and tasty deserts. The staff was always eager to go out of their way to provide for the guest.

At the time I went, there was a convention going on at the hotel, yet the hotel never seemed to become overwhelmed, like I have experienced at other hotels.

Will happily stay here again.

Beautiful view of the waterfront and Mt. Hood on a sunny clear day if your room is 5th floor and up and facing that direction. Not cheap, not not very expensive either for a downtown hotel. The bed was relatively comfy, the pillows very nice. The heating unit pretty arhaic and noisy when the fan was on.
Parking is valet only, $42 or in one of the nearby parking garages ($15/day to $19/24 hrs). No Wi-Fi ($9.95/day) included or breakfast. A breakfast restaurant and a bar located inside the hotel. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Great for meetings, events, conferences.

Stayed 4 nights in a river-view king on the 11th floor.
Pros: great location, friendly front desk staff, nicely refurbished rooms, balcony, and a good view. There is also a small Sarbucks located nextdoor.
Cons: small bathroom, bad water pressure, old and dated tub/shower combo, bad wifi connection, housekeeping was so-so, partially used shower/bath amenities.
Overall, I'd stay here again if someone else paid for it. It's not a bad hotel but it could be a lot better.

Attended a benefit here and the facilities are very nice, to be expected. I'm not sure if it was the hotel staff who catered and served but the meal was very good and the staff were excellent. We also went for a glass of wine in the bar which was very cozy and the waitress was on cue.

Nice room on seventh floor, opposite the elevators, but in this hotel the elevators (and their chime) was very discreet so you nver heard noise inside your room. Check-in staff friendly and efficient. Bed was *very* comfortable. Starbucks coffee available at the lobby bar. Checkout was also fast ans efficient.

Nice place, wish it was closer to the entertainment district. Parking is rather expensive but comparable to other hotels in the area. Hotel itself has several amenities in the building but everything nearby is either a parking garage or an office building. Shopping and entertainment are a little bit of a walk. Overall service and room are quite good.

Awesome friendly professional service, wonderful view, comfortable bed, small bathroom with a slider door so doesn't have full privacy, quiet even with the sounds of the city. Waterfront park on the Willamette is right across the street. Great experience.

Just a heads up ... the dining and room service is very expensive, yet there are other restaurants nearby. They turn off the guest Wi-Fi the morning of check out.

The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. Escalators or elevators available to get downstairs. Large conference room that was dividable for multiple classes or events. Plenty of room for vendors at the conference. Catering was done well, good quality fruit, yogurt, baked goods, variety of spreads available as well as coffee and tea. Overall good place to have a conference. Local parking available, or street parking or parking garages nearby.

We enjoyed our stay. Nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and kind. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms are small, a little pricey and have no microwave. Otherwise, very nice.

I liked it here. I'd probably book this location again. The room was nice and cozy and up-to-date, although I wished the vent/fan in the bathroom wouldn't have blown the shower curtains inward so it gets stuck to you while in the shower, but otherwise, this hotel was in a good location to get picked up and dropped off.

A lovely room, fast service, and such comfy beds!! I had to mark down because the room smelled so intensely of acetone we needed to air out the room constantly, the hotel was so cold, and the elevators were INSANELY slow :(

Even though I did not stay at the downtown Portland Marriott this time around I have stayed there before. My experience there has been amazing. Their food and service was amazing and their rooms that they offered were both comfortable and luxurious. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Very clean and very gracious and helpful staff. The room we had was smaller than normal but we knew that and chose it for view and higher floor. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure, good in room coffee. Fitness center is excellent. Parking in any downtown city is tough but there is a garage very close by that is less expensive than the valet parking.

I do a lot of business in Portland and the Marriott Waterfront is one of my go to places to stay. I have not had a bad experience here in many years of staying. (Disclaimer: I am a Marriott Rewards member but I am a brutally honest customer and if something bothers me then I will review it truthfully regardless of my membership.) So, my stay was very nice and I continue to get excellent service with Marriott. The food at this Marriott is better then most I have stayed in, with a nice selection and quick professional service. One of the faucet handles was loose in the bathroom when I arrived and maintenance had if fixed within 30 minutes of my call to the front desk. My second night I ordered room service so I could finish up some work for a meeting the next day and my order was delivered promptly and professionally. The bell hop even set up the tray and table for me while I finished up my business call that I was on. This was the first time I used the remote check in and that is where your Marriott phone app is used simply at your room by holding your phone to the door and it unlocks....very easy to use and no standing in line at check in you do it all on your Marriott app. Just one more reason I like Marriott. Not all rooms have a water view but ask for one its really nice.

Very welcoming from the moment you pull into the entrance. Valet parking at a fairly reasonable price with come and go as you please. The lady at the front desk was very helpful at recommending us to visit certain places and restaurants around town. The room was very clean and comfortable. One of the nicest hotels I ve stayed at.
